In the pre-season match against Rosenborg, it turned out that Man United had to suffer a 0-1 defeat. And looking at the game statistics, Man United clearly doesn't play well. But this is because ten hag gave the young players at Man United the opportunity to play in this match. And the results are not that good. Maybe in the next match Man United will have to play better. Even though it was only a pre-season match, their quality was still assessed even though it was a pre-season match. In the next match, Man United will face Rangers. I hope it's a pretty interesting fight.

I don't think the team.are going to do differently even though the set of the squad is complete for that match. The team wasn't just a combination of young players, it's a mix of young and old players and yet they fumble completely. Let's even say the team were young, is that a justification to why they should failed to win that match? It doesn't makes sense anymore for a team like that to continue underperformed at any given opportunity, how are they going to impress the fans that they are ready for the season if they are having preseason like this.
Yes, winning is always necessary, even if it's just a friendly match. because winning can have a big influence on a player's self-confidence or improve the player's mentality. Even though in reality Ten Hag might not really care about the results, the reality is that Man United fans still definitely want to see Man United win even in a pre-season match.
I view pre-season match wins and losses as the testing stage that some coaches use to know how mentally and physically ready their players are, towards the upcoming season.

Big or small teams can beat each other, but that doesn't count really because not all the first-team players play in it. A team can have all their pre-season friendly matches won and still have a bad performance in their main league matches.

That been said, I don't regard the performance of any club to be great or worst during their pre season matches until when the league matches kicks in. That's when I think, it should be right to judge the coach and players performance

Preseason matches are usually just exhibition games, not much attention to the details are being paid to such games, although during the summer likes this teams often try to make use of their new signings to try out different things and to also get the players to spend some time together before the real deal, you can actually predict some coaches approach going into the season right from some their preseason matches, there always minute clues into each game. I was following a friendly game to where Dortmund one of the current UEFA Champions League finalist got dismantled by a team all the way from Thailand, by 4 goals to Nil.

Yes, that's right, friend. And in yesterday's pre-season match against Rangers, Man United also managed to win with a score of 0-2. and I quite enjoyed the match. Because I could see how their new young defender acted on the field even though it was only in the first half. Yoro can adapt quickly and I think he will indeed be a player who can be relied on in the back line. And Man United seems to have made a good transfer because they brought in Yoro.

And currently, they are still targeting de Ligt to become one of the things they hope for. Maybe he is prone to injury, but at least his experience and performance are quite good. Ah, this season, maybe Man United really hopes to make better decisions, and hopefully their management by Ten Hag can really be better.
I agree, United still needs De Ligt, he is a good defender. However, negotiations have been delayed because United will not be able to buy another player until they receive an injection of funds through the sale of several other players to finance the Dutch defender's transfer to Old Trafford.
Yes, it seems like it would be like that. because they have spent quite a lot of money to bring in Leny Yoro. Meanwhile, for de Ligt, Man United needs at least around £42m for that defender, and Bayern Munich has lowered its offer to sell de Ligt more quickly because the transfer market is getting tighter.

Actually this is the first time I am getting what I believe is the reason that this young players would want to leave Manchester City. Someone like average house already gotten the Premier League title in his name, also has gotten the Champions League in his name and he also has gotten the prestigious World Cup in his name. This means he has nothing much chasing again in his career. So, leaving Manchester City to a club where he will have a better playing and eventually be paid better should be his priority.
Actually, this is not a strange thing, there are some players who are quite talented at big clubs but can't get enough playing time, so their development and value don't increase that much. Even though Alvarez is actually a talented and good player, the playing time he got at Man City made him decide to stay there.

Exactly what I was about to say :)

Pre-season is about getting back to physical fitness, helping improve and adjust technique, learning strategy, and developing team cohesion, especially with new players in the squad.
But pre-season now is not just for players, managers, and coaches and is not focused on physical, tactical, and mental matters but also business and entertainment.

Tomorrow Man City will start their pre-season match against Celtic, a club from Scotland. And after that Man City will face AC Milan, Barcelona and Chelsea. And then Man City will face Man United in the Community Shield Final. And this Community Shield is a match that is usually held every year between the champions of the Premier League and the champions of the FA Cup. And Man City is the one who won the title in the Premier League, while Man Utd is the club that won the title in the FA Cup. And next month the two of them will meet in this match.

You're right, I Personally have always said that when things are made better and more Effective it is by giving the fans some kind of entertaining games, and that has a lot of influence. I generally see that the PL teams, like any other team in any other league, offer many things to see, but personally I think that they don't show their full potential. Just by watching Madrid's pre-season games, for example, I know that Ancelotti can keep many secrets and then Impress us in the Middle of the League , and that's what happens here in the PL.

The Cityzen have had a long break and the players are fresh mentally, a good test to play four games against good teams.
It’s a good experience for them and good entertainment for the fans
But I expect more players from the Academy to be promoted to the first team.

I was proud and happy about Rodrigo being a Ballon d'Or candidate, there are several players from Real Madrid and Manchester City.
Rodri will be in the top three of the Balloon d'Or winner contest. He has chances of winning it.
But I think, Rodri deserves the Ballon d'Or more than anyone else, he was the best player of the Euro 2024.

Rodri is indeed one of the players who really deserves to be a candidate for the Ballon d'Or. Because his contribution to Man City and the Spanish national team is beyond doubt. And in the previous year Rodri was also a candidate in the race for the Ballon d'Or. But last year's competition was much tighter because there was still Messi. But this season I think the candidates are a little more evenly matched with Jude Bellingham and Vini Jr too. So Rodri's chances are quite high.

yesterday's pre-season match against Rangers, Man United also managed to win with a score of 0-2. and I quite enjoyed the match. Because I could see how their new young defender acted on the field even though it was only in the first half. Yoro can adapt quickly and I think he will indeed be a player who can be relied on in the back line. And Man United seems to have made a good transfer because they brought in Yoro.

I'm actually surprised to see that Manchester United was able to win Rangers because considering the outcome of there last match I was thinking that Rangers will win them, though the luck Manchester United has on that match was that Rangers are no longer the kind of club they are before if not it wouldn't have been easy for Manchester United, so I most say that the performance of Rangers was very poor on that match.

I really want to see Manchester United performance playing against more bigger teams on this pre-season match because that's the only way we would be sure of there performance this upcoming season, however they will be having pre-season match against Arsenal on the 28 July so let's see how the both performance will be because in as much as it may seem not to be a serious match but people are really interested to see how they have improved.

Yes, it seems that some of the top clubs may not even pay attention at all to how their match performance is in the match. And it doesn't really matter or it doesn't matter whether they win or lose. Like what happened to Liverpool, at first I was quite shocked because Liverpool could even lose to such an unknown club. but apparently it doesn't end there. So yes, whether you like it or not, it seems like some don't think their game is very good. And maybe that is a much better consideration than if you persist and end up getting injured, it would be very detrimental.

I'm not surprised, The board is now doing well. Sporting Director Dan Ashworth outlined an exciting vision for United after joining from Newcastle.
His work so far this window has been excellent, Manchester United is now a serious club.
United is the big club, United is on the way back and taking the proper steps to make the club the fear of all rivals once again.
And the team is ready for the pre-season tour, This season has to be the one for Ten Hag, the last chance.

yesterday's pre-season match against Rangers, Man United also managed to win with a score of 0-2. and I quite enjoyed the match. Because I could see how their new young defender acted on the field even though it was only in the first half. Yoro can adapt quickly and I think he will indeed be a player who can be relied on in the back line. And Man United seems to have made a good transfer because they brought in Yoro.

I am always interested in the matches they play even though it is only a friendly match in pre-season. And maybe we will be able to see a more interesting match in another pre-season match, namely Man Utd's match against Arsenal. Man United is currently more active in shopping for new players in the transfer market and I am curious about each new player and the new strategy that Ten Hag will implement there.

There is no long debate of Manchester City and Arsenal and I must say that friendly match between this two will interest me because so far they are among the top club of last season in the Premier League that has not waste money on hype about any new player, they have so much confidence and not running up and down to hijack players like the way Manchester united did some weeks ago, something that even best teams in Champions league refused to buy but they were quick to double the money for mid player.

Since most people believe that pre-season matches are considered not be a serious match for people to expect a club to always win, we will actually see how consistent Manchester City will be on there upcoming pre-season matches against Celtic, though we understand that in pre-season matches clubs test there new strategies and patterns to know what will work more better for them but that doesn't mean that they will not be consistent.

However considering the quality players Manchester City has I doubt if they will be able to lose any of there pre-season matches because there performance has gone way beyond those clubs including Manchester United on the Community Shield Final because since they managed to defeat Manchester City on the FA cup finals Manchester City will certainly not going to allow them again.

Chelsea is working hard to prepare their squad so they can navigate the new season even better. Last season they actually showed a change, only the management had to terminate their coach's contract.

Now they have to start from scratch and it is still a question whether their new coach will be able to bring fresh air or the opposite. I personally hope they can be even better so that the competition in the Premier League is even more interesting.
