The project could not control the market movement specifically when the market is crashing and the price is also decreasing. I think the price depends on the investors game that is why the new project sometimes cannot afford to stand up against the market down trend flow. New project must be competent to old successful one in order to survive.

However, not all Defi projects are really bad crypto projects. Some of them can be successful. Also, good and bad crypto projects will be always there.
