Altcoins season

To invest in crypto is very risky but the risk will lesser if we invest in top 100 coins. However, I'm worried that the top 100 is just temporary because some coins will not survive the consistency. Of course they might fall and overthrown by new coins. I also think that there are some new coins not in top 100 are potential and worthy to invest. It doesn't mean not in top 100 are shitcoin. There are some coins below the top 100 are promising.

Since are referring to long term I am confident that this  I'd only good for the top 10 coins in the market. Better to choose them for long term investment than choosing the new one. For me it is a kind of gamble with low chances if you want long term and you are going to pick new altcoins.

That is why you have to do research before investing, research is needed to see the development of each coin, if the development is good and has a clear vision and mission, then you can invest in these coins, and the possibility of these coins remaining in the top 100 CMC is very large, then you just have to wait for the altcoin season to come and all your coin prices will go up.

I think Altcoins season is not yet start Doge, xlm and Etherium all mirror each-other and you can tell when one is about to run or dip because it will start not looking like the others.   Just before it broke it's previous high last night... it pulled away from doge and ETH.  So it feels wound up like a child's toy, to me, right now.

The list of altcoins is constantly growing and we need to trade when we want a profit by buying a small fraction of the new coins that we think are good then making short-term trades.
Altcoins as listed on coinmarketcap are not entirely profitable, because some altcoins do not have a good trading volume in the market, the most important thing is, take advantage of the knowledge we have in crypto and look for new projects before the price actually increases to get big profits when altcoins listed on the exchange.

I would not consider any of the top 100 coins for investment. I would choose from the first 20-30 coins that are at the top of the list of the best crypto coins.

In the top 100 there are very good projects to invest, but there are also some below that top, one of the most important things for me has always been to search on my own without allowing anyone (the market either) to tell me where to look, to put my attention and my money. And I assure you that under the first page of the top 100 there are real gems waiting to be discovered.

Not yet because now Bitcoin is still dominant for trading.
Just check on Coinmarketcap because it says very clearly if the marketcap for Bitcoin goes through everything including the Samsung marketcap.
So for now Altcoins Season cannot be used because of the Bitcoin factor which is very dominant in the market.

At this point it can be said that the altcoins season has officially begun when Bitcoin's energy temporarily shifts to Altcoins. We see the development of the Altcoins projects, making trading activities on exchanges more bustling. However a large part still comes from DeFi projects, and I think this is essential to keep the energy & liquidity of the market.

I read a lot in this thread and understood a lot. Unfortunately, many did not understand that the so-called altcoin season started a long time ago, in March 2020, but at the latest in September. Only the players, i.e. coins, are now about different. The only altcoin that can reach the ATH from back then is ETH.

There are new coins since 2018, Link, Dot, Uni, Aave, Theta, Snx, Ksm.
All top coins that have outperformed Bitcoin this year.

You can still get a lot out of the trades, but if you didn't buy before September you won't get rich, just put it that way. Correction will come, maybe a crash, who knows.
And that is exactly what will herald the new altcoin season.

Investing on crypto is all about risk. We have seen instances were top 10 get replaced by new projects on market cap, just like how Ripple was going up and down some days back.
Yearn finance is also one of the project that boost in price and became one of the demanding token in cryptosphere.
My advice rather is to look fundamental even if the project is top 10 on coin markets cap.

Iniially, i use to say that the altcoin season has come and gone due to the activities of bitcoin. when btc drops from 41k to 30k which looks like the bull market was over and so many altcoins dropped. i personally thought it is the end for altcoins too but little did i know that alts are about to start their season. link has made a new ATH. same can be said of Uni, SNX and so many other tokens just made a new ATH. I THINK ALTCOINS SEASON is just beginning.

When we see the Bitcoin price go down and the Altcoin Price go up, we judge that it is the start of the Altcoin season.  However, market conditions are very difficult to predict, we should continue to monitor Altcoin price movements in the market.  And if the Altcoin we hold in price goes up, then my advice is to take the opportunity to make a profit, sell your coin before the price goes down.

As a matter of facts, bitcoin controls the market and there can hardly be a notable altcoins season if crypto traders, investors are not considering the bitcoin price movement at any time.
Whether any body like or no, there can't be actually any altcoins season without bitcoin price effects; while some people think that a little stable bitcoin price at certain period brings about altcoin season, some people also think that altcoins can happen at any given period without considering the bitcoin price movement.
Yes, there are altcoins period of pump, but it all depend on the bitcoin price movement. This is my opinion.

I think the altcoin session has begun to end because at this time the price of bitcoin has collapsed again and is experiencing a correction which of course can have an impact on altcoin prices, if you want to buy altcoin then wait until the middle of this year usually the price will be cheap as it happens every year.
