It's because of the DeFi hype as more and more users want to confirm their transection faster than others and that's why those users are setting up a higher gas fee limit rather than the recommended one. When whales are doing this type of things to confirm their transections on ethereum blockchain, eventually gas fee is increasing though ethereum's price is dumping. Only large amount hodlers are doing this as they don't care about funds because they can make more profits from that. But low amount hodlers are facing this painful gas fee problem which can't be afforded.

People transfer coins from their private wallets to exchanges' wallets, then they transfer again their coins from exchanges' wallets to private wallets. This should make the increase in gas fees.

It'll be temporary and won't last long as ETH2.0 is continuously developed by Ethereum Foundation which will be the solution for high gas fee. Projects and users might switch to other blockchain for a short-term and they'll be back to ethereum when shardchains are implemented and ETH2.0 will be launched.

Yes I see, It is a big problem for cyrpto currency trader.  evacuee traders are more active to buy and sell. So I have seen many opinions here, I think Ethereum should have solution for this case. Let's see.
