When the OP wrote the post the market was in on a down trend however the market has since regain it momemtun and trending in bullish runs now with some minor pullbacks or price corrections.
The palpable fear in crypto market could be attributed to the events of Bitcoin reaching ATH in 2017 and the aftermath of the massive dumping that followsuit a lot of investors fears that such a scenario might repeat itself
