I have been holding and accumulating dot for a while now and I can not see happening That Dot will further go down. Although it would be nice, after the all time high I think we will be lucky to see it go to the all time high again let alone $30 but Dot will be king in 2022.

Polkadot brings more value to the crypto ecosystem and we can completely believe that Polkadot is the biggest competitor of Ethereum currently in terms of market cap. Totally true what you say. People hoping for Doge to hit $5 or $10 just want to make some quick cash and don't care about anything else. They don't know (or don't want to know) that a quality product like Polkadot needs continuous development to keep improving it. Doge has shown numerous times that is just a pump and dump toy with a very rich man pulling the strings while people don't stop to think for themselves, that's when reality hits them.

This is very surprising news that dogecoin now overtaken polkadot!!  No one expected this 3 months ago but dogecoin doing this & this is happened due to elon musk. Elon promote dog as much as possible by social media, as a result dogecoin placed the rank of #7 & overtaken polkadot.

If you look at the date, you will see that the OP wrote this thread in April 2021, and at that time Doge had surpassed Polkadot in market capitalization. Everyone knew (except those blinded by fast money) that Doge was going to last a very short time above Polkadot. And I think Doge will continue in that position for a long time, as Elon Musk seems to be keeping quiet about Doge right now to avoid potential legal trouble, as many people sadly take his words as financial advice.

I don't think that's possible, Dogecoin's trading volume is still very far from being able to take second place on the leaderboard. We can see the current coinmarketcap list. Dogecoin's ranking is indeed in 8th place, but to climb to second place it requires a lot of money. must be burned in very large quantities.

Considering that it is the first cryptocurrency that I have come into contact with, I can say that it has some kind of sentimental value for me. From the time when 1000 Doge was worth $0.14 to the fact that today 1 Doge is worth even more than that, even 10 years have passed.

I accumulated a lot of them on faucets and never sold them, so I think they are worth a lot today. Unlike most coins from that period that disappeared, Doge obviously has a lot of support from the community and that certainly means something.

Doge is still popular until now because many doge holders hope that elon musk will give support again like before. In terms of projects, which one is better? I choose polkadot, but unfortunately DOT is less popular when compared to meme coins like doge.

Polkadot is very worthy of being overtaken by DOGE because I see that Polkadot is not strong enough to compete with DOGE coins, DOGE now I see is very strong and widely traded and a few weeks ago DOGE coins were seen rising rapidly from a price of 0.1 dollars to a price of 0.7 dollars and that proves that DOGE has risen by more than 70%.

This also surprised me a lot, especially since I still love DOT because it has intelligent solutions for cross-chain interactions and deserves to be the center of the entire blockchain market in the future.
