I still believe in Polkadot recent upgrades and hope that the DOT price will soon grow in the remaining part of this cycle. However I don't dare to continue DCA DOT tokens in this phase I'm not sure if the DOT price has accumulated enough it can completely continue to fall to the $3.7 bottom.

For the time being I only focus on DCA ETH to ensure the safety of the account. If the DOT price surpasses $12 and the market becomes bustling in FOMO I will think about supplementing the amount of DOT in my portfolio after taking profits from some other tokens in the bullrun!

What bearish market can do to altcoins. Some years ago when this post was made around 2021, Polkadot was trending below $30. Coming to this year 2025, that same polkadot is below $5 currently.

Imagine those who might have bought Polkadot at that time, thinking that Polkadot would increase further. Won't they be at a deep loss as Polkadot has decreased tremendously in price?

I had added some amount of DOT when the market dropped last year and hoped that this coin could really come back like before, reaching its ATH price. However, the further along, I am increasingly unsure if this can work. Because, the market cap has not risen that well. Moreover, the price movement is quite low. The risk of technology-based investing is that the project could be forgotten if a market has another project with better technology and solutions. In the case of Polkadot, parachains are still the leading solution for cross-chain, but unfortunately, the market no longer needs to move assets between multiple blockchains.

I even suspect that cross-chain was just a fake need created by whales in the previous cycle to push the price of many tokens in the market like DOT and ATOM. They created a good narrative and the token prices increased, they took profits and pushed all the risk onto the holders.

Polkadot seems to follow the up and down trend of Bitcoin's price too, just like Ethereum, BNB, Solana all follow the up and down trend of Bitcoin's price.

Yes, the recent price movement of DOT has been quite good, ranging between $3.2 - $3.7.
