I don't think bitcoin has no competitor because alot of alternatives coins out there, they are competitor for bitcoin although in capitalization of marketcap bitcoin is still number one and i don't think that competitor of bitcoin is bad, it is good for the community of bitcoin to make other new innovations in bitcoin.
