What are the narratives this year? Airdrops come from different knowing blockchains like Solana, Ethereum, Cosmos, and Celestia. What might be the hype for this year? I'm not sure about this one, but I think it will be tokens that are under AI, DePIN, and RWA. Well, at least that's what I'm hearing.

Coins outside of those 3 categories will rely on the community behind them, the exchange they were listed, and the developments that they'll be doing for the rest of the year. Those projects that will have little to no upgrades will be set aside and those that will make some upgrades are the ones that will become good. Of course, upgrades will be useless, and will not make the price move without the community behind it.

Overall, 2024 will be a good year for altcoins since we are nearing the bull run already (hopefully), but that doesn't mean that we will blindly just invest in any new projects that we see. Always do your own research still.
