What is more crazy is that there are still believing in this promises , not even given a damn thinking how much that 0.2 bitcoin as promises .
even a simple thinking will made you realized how foolish this kind of tricks to be taken as possible victimizing .
glad that we are not those kind that can be fooled .

This is not surprising at all, because most people actually know very little about Bitcoin, and all they are interested in is investing a little money and earning a lot of money. There are dozens of methods that scammers use, and this is just one of them that can pose a problem even to the more experienced, who at some point become greedy and try to get free money.

Will people ever learn that nobody throws money around? Probably not, especially since we are coming up with generations that think for themselves less and less, and when you don't use your brain you become a very easy target.

People always really want to believe in a fairy tale or that they will be able to get a good sum, as was available in 2016(ico and bounty). Since then, many have dreamed about it, but times have changed and instead To earn money, you can lose everything you have.

Here as you can see, I have the balance in that account yet I can't withdraw until I make a deposit there. Imagine how many people will fall victim to this. If they can give away this much for free, why can't they just take that amount from that given balance itself?
Because they want to scam you.

The Bitcoin halving is coming near and scammers are coming up with more ideas. Stay safe, keep your assets safe and keep on Hodling. Cheers
This scam site is so simple, I hope the scammers don't get any victims!

The larger and more potential the market becomes, the more scammers appear and there are new ways to scam new investors. The only way investors can protect themselves is to diligently follow news on Youtube or crypto news sites. It is not too difficult to find instructions on how to create/use an account, there are also many articles warning about scams in this market, everything is free, as long as investors are willing to read and gain knowledge. Our AltcoinsTalks forum is a good place for newbies to join and get experienced members' opinions on scams in the crypto market.

Another important thing is: limit your greed and don't think that making money is easy in the crypto market  8)

I'm not sure who still falls for this but they are probably the ones that have less experience within the market. It screams red flags TBH, knowing that you need to deposit just to withdraw. It's complete BS. I tried talking to people like that (when I had free time, I didn't want to waste my time anymore with them) and just freaking make them waste their time on me as well.

It's just an account and a website that they control and make you believe that they will give you that money. It's the spam emails that they do from leaked data or something.

Be vigilant everyone!
Oh trust me, there are many who will fall for this. As Bitcoin gains more popularity and becomes a thing, many people will join it. And as a newbie, more than half of them will have no clue about these things. People nowadays only follow trends. They want to start so fast that they skip all the important things.

I think this will continue to happen until they see or hear news about these kinds of scams. But then again, you learn from your mistakes. Let them experience it and as long as it's not a huge amount, it's all good.

This is for those who loves signup bonus more than themselves and come to think of this how do you think a site or whatever platform will released such huge amount for signup are they insane?

Compared to how people are most cherishable nowadays and no one will release such amount to pay for signup bonus rather their major target is milk those who doesn't know their right in the crypto space, so when they rush to send money at last this same site would still asked for additional withdrawal fee and haven paid the first fee you would consider the amount in the balance and what you would gain and lost after which you could be tempted to pay in more money so that you could endup having a whole of lot 0.2btc.

This is greed in a highest order and anyone who is engulfed with greed are easily to get trapped there since they can't control their greed level wanting to received that money without hassle.

It is enough to read this part "for free", and that should be a clear sign because there is no such thing as free money.

It's been some time since someone mention this scam method. Anyway, i find it's crazy that the scammer promise 0.2 BTC which is about $9500 which makes many people think it's too good to be true. Even if you live in US, it's still big amount of money.

It's still amazing that many people believe in things like this that are quite obvious. Today I blocked several Twitter profiles, completely anonymous, but they promise some free distribution of 1000+ Bitcoins and the like. What surprises me is that such tweets have several hundred retweets. However, people secretly hope for some random huge win.

Such things have become a huge business in which the main role is no longer played by a lone "hacker", but rather very well-planned operations in which dozens or even hundreds of people participate. Given that creating profiles on social networks is practically free, they create tens of thousands of them, and then each "employee" manages a certain number of such profiles that they use to create the appearance of unique users.

I deleted what they call X a long time ago, and I haven't regretted it for a moment.

This is not a new strategy at all, if I still remember correctly, this strategy is as old as scam itself in the cryptocurrency ecosystem.
And it did be very important for us to all know that that which they give as the bonus are real bitcoins, those are just numbers the scammers enter in the user's account.
If you want to verify this, get your bitcoin deposit address and scan it on the blockchain Explorer, you did see that that address contains zero bitcoins, which tells us that the supposed 0.2 bitcoin balance on the account is nothing but numbers the scammers enter into potential victims account.

Exactly. But people will still not understand that simple fact and continue to be a victim. What surprises me most is that many people who have been in the crypto ecosystem for a while still fall for these scams. It is an old tactic, but they present it in a way that makes you feel legit. They just want free and quick money!

This happens a lot. And the hackers may or may not have bought some thousands of retweets to make it look real and then the victims fall for it. There are many ways you can do it but only those who have been a victim in the past really know about it.

Re: 0.2 BTC for free! Don't fall for this.

So I created a fake account and gave it a try. To my surprise, they are asking for a 0.005 BTC deposit in order to unlock the withdrawal feature.

I'm not surprised, as I've seen so many of those attempts already. Just by looking at the thread title I knew they were going to ask you to send bitcoin before.

To deposit before withdraw is a 100% way to know that a site is a scam site.

That's right, I haven't come across any such case that was genuine.

This is not a new strategy at all, if I still remember correctly, this strategy is as old as scam itself in the cryptocurrency ecosystem.

Much older than that. Before cryptocurrencies there was already the famous scam of a supposed Nigerian grandfather, who had left you a multimillionaire inheritance and to collect it you only had to send a small amount of money. In fact, I think it is as old as mankind, because most scams are based on making the victim believe that he will earn a lot of money, if he simply gives his money first.
