Misconduct in Nigeria

Misconduct is a very serious problem which the  country is really suffering from. Inorder t address this issue I believe that strict disciplinary committee should be set up. No own should be above the discipline. The rule of law state that everyone is equal before the law, so therefore everyone should be equal is one engage in misconduct even if it it the president of a country he or she should be severely punished.

We can have this discussion all the day but nothing will change in the country because is a national problem to our society and out of 100 percent population of the country 80 percent has it, misconduct is not even only about looting money as the politicians in the government is doing but about the way of life's of some people, stealing other people's belongings, lying to cover their bad deeds, using other people's identity to disguise themselves, there are so many other things I have not mention yet and a lot of people has it.

There is a saying that says, "change begins with you"; the change we clamour for begins with us when we do the right thing as it is done. You are right that we are talking about the leaders when individual amongst the populace, things are going wrong. Everyone is acting as if they do not care and do not bother about societal values and ethics. All you have said is not far from the truth, and as long as we take the bold step to correct this impression of all these doings, things would still be the same ay in the country.

When we take advantage of ourselves and our lapses, how do we expect the change to occur, because definitely there must be a payback in retaliation, and this is the case in our nation. If we as individuals would take it amongst ourselves to make sure things are done properly,  calling the government to order, making sure due process is followed without cutting corners, I think we could get something meaningful out of this struggle to liberate our nation from this menace.

The thing is that if individuals decide to help each other there will be peace and harmony among them but the reality is that what someone is doing for another person is not always sufficient to make the person cope with the challenges of life and this is where government comes to play.

There are basic things expected of the government and when the government is not providing these basics people are affected regardless of what they benefit from other citizens. Issues of road, healthcare, electricity can cause instability in the country.
