Since owning the hardware, I have only done one update the rest until now I no longer do updates, I only check the balance and then close back and ignore updates, so is it still safe or keep updating?
You should update firmware for sure, Trezor developers fixed important security issues and made significant improvements and changes during last few years.
There is also a chance that running old firmware could result in error with transactions, but if you are not using device than it doesn't matter, since you should keep seed words separately offline.
That's what I'm afraid of with transaction errors so it's better to update the firmware as you suggested to be even safer, but so far using Trezor is only one 1x transaction and the rest is no longer while for the seed phrase it stores offiline in a safe place.

Firmware updates are usually needed to add new features, fix bugs, or increase the security of the hardware wallet device.
The changelog of the firmware can be a reference to see whether it is urgent to install immediately or can still be skipped, for example, because it is only a minor bug fix.

I do not use hardware wallets, for now I don't have that many coins and it just seems too hard. I am so used to having everything online but if I ever get a bigger portfolio I might consider getting it!

I always thought that I would never need a hardware wallet until i lost some coins, someone moved all my Bitcoin and altcoins out of my wallet, this is a old wallet thay I have been using since 2019, and it is always online.

So one day I decided to order a Keystone hardware wallet, since then I have never gotten compromised again, now I understand the difference between a air-gapped hardware wallet and a normal crypto wallet.

Keystone 3 pro is a good one.

I think many investors in this market are in the same situation as you, and so am I. We understand that hardware wallets are really good and are the safest option to protect crypto assets, but we temporarily do not have too many crypto assets and want to make the most of every $ for investment to maximize profits in the bullrun.

There are many good measures that we can take to protect our crypto assets: using a personal internet network, using Apple products or the Linux OS on a PC to limit the risk of being attacked by hackers. I hope that this bullrun will bring us great profits, enough to make us need and be able to own hardware wallets ^^

Keystone is not bad hardware wallet, but I know some people who are having issues with their battery.
If you don't use it so often make sure to charge it and never leave it for a long time with depleted empty battery.
It is possible to replace it later, but it's not that easy like in older version.

Hardware wallets are much safer option for holding your cryptocurrencies, and there are many options to choose but they are not perfect.

If you are using hardware wallet please tell us the model you have.

If you don't use any hardware wallet can you please state your reasons why.
The wallet I have chosen to invest in Bitcoin is basically a software wallet. As there are experiences of software wallets getting hacked, I will be careful and refrain from using software wallets in future. But I have decided to use Trezor Model T in my future plans because it has the convenience of using PIN directly with computer so it is completely safe from hackers.

When I first bought an SFP hardware wallet, I thought it would be easy to use, but in my opinion, this wallet is quite complicated, requiring a scan code for every transaction, so the result is that the wallet is only a collection and I am still comfortable using a desktop wallet.
