I have taken up gambling only as entertainment. I have never participated in gambling outside of entertainment. Also in my gambling experience I have not yet paid out huge amount but I bet limited amount due to which I have won limited amount of money. But yes my gambling experience has been a lot of very few losses I have won most of the bets. It has been a series of wins and losses which comes with occasional emotional rollercoasters, you can't always win everyday. I have tried to adopt different betting strategies but I keep Having tough luck with them. It made me realize that strategies don't really matter some times it's a game of chance anything can happen at anytime. I still play once in a while not as much as I used to, I'm playing for entanglement only and not obsessed about making millions from it

I went through a phase where I wanted to make regular money from gambling (similar to job), I realized quickly that it was utter stupidity and moved on from such erroneous idea.

IMO one should gamble considering it an entertainment activity, and consider win/loss occured therein as entertainment expenses similar to video games, movies.

Well, we've been through that phase... or some might have not since they know the risks of gambling already, but I also thought of that one as well. Same with trading when I made profits from it. Like you, I also realized that I'm stupid enough to think that way. I realized that having a day-to-day job would always be better than focusing your time and sometimes, money into gambling - in terms of how to make money.

It's easy to say that we should look gambling as a form of entertainment only and not a way to make money, but the reality is, there are many gamblers out there who are thinking gambling as their way to make money, worse there are some who thinks that gambling will make them rich. They will make money, but they will be slapped by the reality that gambling is designed for most to lose money. Some will make money of course, but most will lose.

Although I am not a hardcore gambler but I do gamble occasionally and the experience I have gained from gambling till date is that one should never be greedy while gambling, and be satisfied with little and gambling is only for entertainment or fun or enjoyment.  to play for.  Many people mistakenly think that they can lead their lives by gambling, which is actually a misconception.
