For me, I believe Bitcoin's position is unshakeable and can never be replaced. Its longevity and widespread support have cemented its role in the financial world. As the pioneer of cryptocurrency, Bitcoin is likely to remain a key player in the future of money and has the potential to revolutionize numerous payment methods.

Is Bitcoin able to survive like gold??? Or will it soon be replaced with a new one?
We have been reading this kind of question for how many years now from other forum(BTT) and we keep reading answers like

- There is never be an assurance ..

- Bitcoin Will be here forever .

- Yeah it will be replaced in the future.

those are the common answers we have read for years now but do we really mean that?

While others know that this is a digital gold (bitcoin) but assuring everyone that it can stay forever is never been a certain thing  and not being replaced? Gold is upto  now is on top  against silber and bronz like bitcoin against ethereum than ethereum and other coins .

be replaced in terms of what? marketcap, decentralization, trading volumes, number of transactions per second, cheaper fees,  faster confirmations, technical development, price?
Bitcoin can be replaced in any of the previous pairs individually, where a currency can have a limited number and a price of 80k, or it can be replaced in terms of market capacity, or in terms of cheaper fees, or faster confirmations, but from all these aspects, Bitcoin will inevitably remain number 1.
Seeing something is no longer used, that means it has been replaced in general... nothing is 100% similar to Bitcoin, but seeing BlackBerry abandoned, Kodak that is no longer popular, or Nokia that has lost its glory days... that means they have replaceable even though there is nothing 100% similar to it... when times are always changing dynamically, there are always other alternatives that are more innovative and definitely not the same as the old ones.

So in terms of what I'm asking is not one of the things you mentioned... basically my question is like how long can Bitcoin survive that's all... of course this will have different answers depending on each individual.   ;D ;D

The problem with the idea of Bitcoin treated as a payment method is it's fluctuating fees which is annoying and will cause some delay to transactions just like what we have in the previous months wherein the fee itself reaches more or less $200. For me Bitcoin is best for long term investment but for payment purposes I don't think so unless devs will fix things up.

In my view, Bitcoin is the digital gold and since gold will never be replaced so Bitcoin will also stay. There will always be possible heirs to the throne but they will never be able to be equal with the King of All Cryptos. Sure, we don't know what can happen but if gold will be our standard then I am confident that Bitcoin will be here for a long, long time. The rise of Bitcoin is quite phenomenal and it has had been declared to be DEAD a lot of times and so far Bitcoin “has died” 476 times since 2010 and yet it is already much alive today and is gaining a lot of momentum with the recent approval of ETFs for it. Of course, there will be ups and downs as should be expected for a very volatile asset and that is where the excitement can be. Bitcoin is not perfect and it is not a big success as a payment network but as far as being an asset BTC is already an accepted commodity just like, as what I said, gold. In the next few years, there would be more developments that will catapult Bitcoin higher in the global marketplace making it more solid and strong.

We see a major event in the form of a transition from the ancient era to the modern era...it is also a challenge in itself for any company or platform to be able to survive following the development of the era....

Including Bitcoin... will one day we leave Bitcoin too and remember it as history?? Bitcoin is only 15 years old, very young compared to gold... According to some researchers, gold was first discovered in 2450 BC, meaning that until now the age of gold is 4473 years...

Is Bitcoin able to survive like gold??? Or will it soon be replaced with a new one?

I am not a god who can see the future for the next few years, but one thing I am sure of is that Bitcoin will continue to survive, as long as there are people who transact with Bitcoin, Bitcoin will continue to exist forever.

bitcoin dies = impossible
Bitcoin shifted = impossible
bitcoin going to zero = impossible
government regulating bitcoin = impossible

If we go back to the past, did we ever think that we would know bitcoin or that bitcoin would be born? I personally didn't think like that before I got to know bitcoin. And this may apply to something that will come in the future.

We can only speculate here, and the truth of our current speculations will only be discovered in the future. But what is clear is that we are speculating about what we see now. So in my opinion this is not something that is certain.

Talking about speculation, I agree with you. Bitcoin holders when Bitcoin was first launched, they only speculated to hold it until it lasted until the price of Bitcoin was this expensive. It was an intelligent speculation and a person who had great luck. Because at that time many people doubted bitcoin.

Bro what are you talking about, you are a well-experienced member, and I think you should know the answer, I'm not a toxic fan but in this case buddy i think BTC is now unbeatable, there's no potential succor for the top spot except for BTC, If you think the ETH and due to its mighty ecosystem still it lack many things like the reliability factor.

So in simple and few words dont you think there's any match in popularity and acceptability for Bitcoin? BTC is not a king it's a giant just look at the market dominance level.

Gold is wher it is today because the govern fuel and control it, that's what you get for been centralized, just imagine an asset of many decades is worth $2330, don't you think in the next 30years Bitcoin will be worth 10 times the original value of what it's been traded today, this is what decentralized demands bring to the people.

If Elon could change the rating of th world richest leaders, Gold is just taking its time because the interest as store of value will definitely be replace by it's market cap and more money supply will even slow down the growth of Gold by price.

Gold prices are gradually increasing but there is a surety that an increase will take place while the fluctuations in the price of Bitcoin are so high that one cannot predict what will happen in future with the existence of Bitcoin. I know that the price of Bitcoin will increase in much better speed as compared to the gold but I think we should focus on surety of existence.

I don't think that a speedy increase of bitcoin will ever eliminate the use of gold because it is used as from history and is going with great success therefore no matter how high the price of Bitcoin goes, the use of gold has its own place and value.

Is Bitcoin able to survive like gold??? Or will it soon be replaced with a new one?
I always keep an open mind because of exposure and experience, and it is possible that bitcoins survives and it is also possible that by then, it will not be the most trending thing to invest in because as time goes on there will be more opportunities for investments to everyone.

Bitcoin may be replaced, but it I'll not be scraped out.

It is possible as long as there is internet in the world.
Bitcoin is the main crypto coin, it can survive as the king of crypto coin. So far there is no other coins that have the capability as Bitcoin. Even Ethereum is not the same as Bitcoin. So, I can assume that Bitcoin is irreplaceable and will stay as the main crypto coin forever. Bitcoin is the only coin that Satoshi ever made. This is also one of the factors that make Bitcoin be very special.  :)

The problem with the idea of Bitcoin treated as a payment method is it's fluctuating fees which is annoying and will cause some delay to transactions just like what we have in the previous months wherein the fee itself reaches more or less $200. For me Bitcoin is best for long term investment but for payment purposes I don't think so unless devs will fix things up.

the fee issue is why I think btc could fail down the road.

scrypt has 12x the capacity as btc

doge never runs out of reward yet has an endless shrinking inflation rate.

I would consider the ltc/doge scyrpt mining algo to have a shot at knocking off btc in 30 years time.

Nobody knows. But FWIW, USDT used to exist on Bitcoin blockchain (with help of OmniLayer protocol), but ultimately killed by Tether few years ago. So i expect other usage of Bitcoin will become less popular over time.
That was Tether's choice though, they had all the cards in their hands.

Honestly it doesn't look like Bitcoin is going anywhere anytime soon. It is the most disruptive cryptocurrency, more so than coins with fast development like Ethereum.

That's true, but Tether claim they did that due to low USDT usage on Bitcoin blockchain. And people prefer to use it on altcoin due to lower TX fee.
