Will BTC be replaced by a new one someday?

Well as we all know that change is the only constant then new and improved  ideas will always come out we just don't know when. Maybe it will take time for the new one to fully replace Bitcoin if ever there's really one that will stand out. But right now I don't think so since Bitcoin is getting stronger and still bullish for me.

The main thing is that none of us can tell the future, and given the algorithm that Bitcoin's protocol is made of, it will be over 100 years before Bitcoin mining ends, so I don't think we'll see a replacement for Bitcoin in that time. But again I say no one knows about the future and cryptocurrency is more unpredictable but Bitcoin has not come to leave this field so easily.

This has been argued many times so far, and we can't really say anything for certain. I mean if we are talking about 600 years from now, then looking at the human capacity for evolving, then we could say that it is guaranteed that there will be something better than bitcoin one day, there is no doubt about that. But I assume that we are talking about our life time, and I feel like it would be possible, but not certain. We could probably see some changes, which is why I do not put %100 of my money in bitcoin, well right now it is but if I ever have a lot once again one day, then I would not, and make sure I leave some room for something new in the future.

Ah, this is a bit difficult to say, because no one knows what the future holds.
And what does that mean is that it will be replaced by other cryptos or other technologies?

If it's crypto, I'm still very sure that there will be no other crypto that can replace Bitcoin as the number 1, even though Ethereum is changing it clearly.

But if that means being replaced by another technology product that will appear in the future, I don't know. Because we don't know whether this product is a real competitor or just hype. this is what often happens.

There have been many experiments with internet money, but only BTC has been truly successful and has survived to this day. I can't think of any possibility that BTC will be replaced by a more efficient, decentralized, or transparent financial product. Of course, CBDC is never the solution we want.

BTC will remain the crypto king for many years to come. I can't live another 100 years to see what might happen, so I'm just focusing on the present. I hope that in the future ETH can surpass BTC in terms of trading volume and asset value turnover because Ethereum and its smart contracts can actually be used for many purposes in the economy.

When you are the prime mover, it's really hard to see that someday you are going to be replaced. Although there are tech giants that we might compare like Nokia and Blackberry, as Nokia at one point holds 50% of the market share in the early 2000-2010 but suddenly lost it's traction because of competition and their failure to adapt to the new and emerging trend and now they have exited and been absorbed by Microsoft.

But with Bitcoin though, as per marketcap, almost at 50%. But the thing is that it has as stronghold on that position, and all other altcoins are based their trading pairs to BTC. And even if there are no improvements, well you can call LN and other layering two solutions, but still nothing big has change throughout the years and even we have seen forks after forks in 2017-2018, still Bitcoin is the dominant crypto so I highly doubt that it will be replace at the top of the food chain.

As for some new cryptocurrency that will replace BTC - what exactly should it be? We have tens of thousands of cryptocurrencies that have tried to do exactly that and none of them have succeeded - Bitcoin is unique because it has a unique model that cannot be copied.

I think it can be copied/forked  but they won't work.
I thinm world cannot have 2 safe PoW coins that will work as a world currency. The idea of pow is to have a big hashrate, só just copying its model won't work.

A copy is always just a copy, and besides, every BTC fork is centralized and completely opposite to the idea that Satoshi had. I think that today we have over 100 BTC forks, and most of them are completely dead, and the few that can still be found survive because of the huge amount of money invested in them.

In addition, the world is not yet ready for any decentralized cryptocurrency, and everything else that may appear only confuses those people who are already confused with the very concept on which Bitcoin rests. People want a "dumb solution" in the sense of bank account -> plastic card -> PIN and anything more than that is an unnecessary complication for them.

Gold was not the only representation of money, but the properties of gold were what made it suitable as money. If large quantities of gold were found, or a metal with a similar rarity scale and better properties than gold was found, it would inevitably be replaced.

No one can be sure, but it won't be easy to get rid of because of how the blockchain works.
The Bitcoin protocol is designed to be immutable, decentralized, and sustainable.
So, as long as there is an internet connection, no entity can shut it down, and Bitcoin can last forever.
However, if users and investors lose faith in Bitcoin, its value could go to 0.

I doubt if bitcoin can live up to a hundred years not to think of a thousand years and beyond.

Bitcoin has a limited supply of 21 million. What happens if the last bitcoin is mined? How do the miners continue with the little gas fees charged for their survival and also make the bitcoin network strong and reliable? These are questions one should think about before we think of bitcoin lasting long like gold.

Or maybe sooner, 100 years will only be achieved by certain people. A long-term investment of 50-80 years will be a lifetime investment and more precisely it will be a legacy that will be passed on to our successors.

Somehow bitcoin will evolve in those times and perhaps the technology will get more sophisticated.
and about Bitcoin substitution or a coin that equals it, there may be one, but I think Bitcoin will stay on top and bitcoin will be at the center of all the altcoins that come up.
