What will you do with your crypto assets when you get old?

To bad that I cant predict future, then I would say what exactly I am going to do with my crypto. The short answer would be - what I will do with crypto depends from my finances. The long answer would be - I will try to leave it for my child, but if I see that financially my child is stable (good job, married to a good person and they financially are ok), then I would spend perhaps third of crypto on myself, leave third for grandchildren and third for my child. I am sure that I am not going to take my crypto with me in the grave.

So we have to tell them what crypto is in general, so when we are gone, they are ready to use it as we expect. And they can even start investing if they are mature enough and have income.

kids nowadays are aware of crypto so i do not think they will enter this world totally clueless about crypto even if i do not teach them because crypto is everywhere and it will just continue to spread still i need to guide my kids into knowing appropriately about bitcoin so they do not end up in the wrong path

We will certainly never know what they will do later, but at least we give them provisions that can take them to a better stage. After that, it will return to each of them, but the important thing is that we have done what we should have done.

Maybe yes with the increasingly widespread development of crypto, but that doesn't mean we can let go, I mean we also have to monitor their development, including the development of their knowledge about crypto.

If I were to pass away, I would ensure that my cryptocurrency assets are transferred to my family, including my wife, children, and grandchildren, as they are my rightful heirs. But before doing so, I would make sure they acquire the necessary knowledge and understanding of cryptocurrency to manage these assets effectively. So also I will make sure that they are responsible enough to handle the responsibilities, but still I will advise them that they should work every hard to be better than me and be more successful than mine.

No body can predict future so as life of humans so yeah we don't know if we really reach the level of getting old or we forget to breathe too early so maybe we have to take that into consideration that is why we need our loved ones to be educated with crypto so they already know the drill if something natural will happen but I don't really care for now since I have nothing to pass on though I like the idea of giving it to children and grandchildren unfortunately I don't have one since I am single. 😅

1. Yes and it is already now because its a legal and acceptable digital currency for the exchange of goods and services.

3. Aside bitcoin, there is none, every other coins are just altcoins and they takes more risk than bitcoin.

It seems like you're a very cautious investor and only trust BTC for the long term. I hope your children will also be as cautious and wise as you are when they inherit a lot of BTC from you in the future. They shouldn't FOMO into memecoins

We still have plenty of time to try, however, don't just focus on accumulating BTC and forget about using the profits from your investment to improve our lives. That's our biggest goal in life, not just leaving a large inheritance for our children.

This is correct, but if family members find any documents storing private keys, they can completely move the deceased's crypto assets.

Additionally, Burn means the holder relinquishes ownership. Delete the key means that the BTC still remains in the account associated with the holder, and the holder will be mentioned if they destroy the private key of the account containing 1000 BTC

I'm thinking of another option: using that BTC as a reward for a tricky puzzle in this market. Many investors would try to decipher it to get a reward worth millions of USD.

Crypto is no joke.  It is an asset and if someone's asset cannot be enjoyed by future generations then how much is the value of that asset?  So the wallet key needs to be shared with the 2nd person to keep the assets safe. But it is also true that nobody can be trusted in this world.  Everyone can cheat for money. So it might be a good idea to write down the private key on a piece of paper and keep it in your private secret place. When your future generations find it after your death, it will be a treasure for them. And it can change their lives.

I haven't thought about leaving my crypto assets for my next generation. Even though I think it's quite important, but because I only trade for the penbdek and medium term, I don't think I need to do that.

Yes that is true and if we have any plans to leave our investment to our future generations then there should be plans for that, and of course when leaving such investments to our future generations there should be a way to entrust it to them by leaving it to the right person, but when we don't see the trusted person there could be a plan to sell them off to avoid mismanagement of funds.

Firstly most important must prepare if any crisis begin we must stock a lot of our daily needed to eat like food, I think important here how much our food preparing and seems not really important yet about how much bitcoin assets holding during crisis moment. But its difficult for happening because all countries looks safe right now and we need save as much possibility with cryptocurrency assets or having much money.
Crisis can pass around several days or several months later, if have good financial looks not difficult we can move to other place have better safety or going to the other country firstly.

OK, thank @Stompix, we always need to focus on the present to survive in the market and in severe inflation. Everyone has their own survival battle, risks of war/crisis, nuclear threats always exist and that's also an interesting topic to discuss.

However, I don't want to go that far. I just want to share my viewpoint and want to know other members perspectives on how to handle crypto assets as we age over time. You can share about your plan to accumulate crypto assets in the next 50 years, or simply your survival plan, I and other members will read and take it as a reference, I think it would be very interesting!
