Often , I buy things that are not important, maybe because I am a woman, I often buy cosmetics and household furniture, after I get home sometimes I regret buying it, and reflect on my finances, but unfortunately it will happen again if I have more money
I get what you mean, as a woman i don't think it is bad to buy cosmetics, as long as you wear one, any woman who likes to wear cosmetics and can afford one, should do so. I know we should not be buying things we do not need, but we should not regret buying some basic stuffs, as long as they do not cost a fortune.
Indeed, cosmetics are a necessity for women, and it cannot be denied that the problem is that I am often tempted by advertisements and want to try them, but after trying them it doesn't suit me. It is true that when it comes to cosmetics, it can be said to be wasteful if you keep buying them.

Actually there's no issue if you do have the money but if you have to be practical then you should be that careful on choosing on what are the things that you do need up and to those aren't.
Actually it do basing up on someones financial capability on how someone will be able to buy up their wants because usually things that being bought. On the time that you've been that wary about into yourself on how much money you do have then pretty sure you wont be that much be careless when it comes to purchasing but actually it will be just that still depending on a certain person because not all will really be that good when it comes to self control specially when buying up the things on whats up into their minds.

I haven't fell into such category of people. Every single Fadden of money I get, or things I purchase, I make sure I use it for something that will be useful as often as it can be.   ??? The only thing I'll say I bought that I don't use often is an ear pod, this is because I am always busy, and most times we play music aloud (a level good to the hearing of everyone) in my work place, so it is not too required when I'm at work, only when I'm at home and alone (which is in rare situations). I bought it mostly because I was running an online tutoring, and since then it's just been there, though , I'm not done with the training, just got to many work task on my desk, that's why it's still important.

Hard to believe there is such a person who has foreseen his future so much, that he does not make things he did not need. I am sure that you have done repairs or fixed something in your life. Construction shops are always a place where we buy something that might be useful, but might be not, however we still buy it because we dont want to stop repair process and waste time to return to the shop. Maybe return policy works great in your country, I dont know, but I think everyone have something for housekeeping that he has never used.

I don’t think that has happened to me before because I came from a poor family where we value things and we can’t waste money on things that we don’t need, this kind of thing happens mostly to children because they are the ones that will buy something and feel like they don’t need it and want to buy another thing again, although there are people that it has happened to but I don’t think it will people who know the value of money and how they get the money.

Currently, I don’t think someone will go and buy something expensive and later discover they don’t need it because of the way the world is going, at this point even the rich people will have to think before buying anything expensive for themselves, maybe it will happen when the time comes but for now I haven't buy something expensive and later discover I don’t need it.

What is that thing you bought when you got a good amount of money, only for you to later find out that you actually didn't need the item.
We have a saying here, "If you have money, you want to buy even dirt". For me it was a camera gimbal that I bought with bonus money and thought I would always use but it turned out that after the first week I couldn't touch it. I kept telling myself that I would use it more but it just stayed there. It's strange how money makes you think you need things because you can finally buy them.

We use a lot of things during hype. I am also one of those who have bought gopro camera with idea of filming life round me, my travel, how child grow, blogging. I think I have watched movies I have taken several times only, but in most cases only transfer video and photos from camera to PC, without even watching what I have taken. And I felt pity to sell my gopro, because I always have an excuse that I will use that camera again one day.

I am a man, and I find myself spending money carelessly often, I am telling myself these days that I need to respect money. It's bad thing to spend it carelessly, you only realize it's worth when you have lack of it.

If you have extra money then instead of making unnecessary purchases, it's better of saved.
Its not bad to spend up sometimes on things that you do really want as long you are on moderation or something that not lavishly spending up your money then you should be just that fine.
The most common issue on here is that there are those individuals who do spend up lavishly without thinking on tomorrows or not checking out on how much money they do have left in bank.
They would be just that simply thinking on whats on today and later on having those regrets at the moment that there's nothing left into our pockets. Regrets do always come at the end specially on the time or moment that you are experiencing tough situations then it will be that leading up into that kind of condition.

Yeah, I feel you on that. Money really makes us want stuff we don’t even need. I once bought a camera gimbal too when I got some extra cash. Thought I’d use it all the time, but after the first week, it just sat there collecting dust. I kept thinking I’d use it someday, but nope. Funny how having money makes things look more useful than they really are.

Re: Have you ever bought something you didn't need

I think smartphones and gadgets. I thought that there is a need to get updated at most times for these gadgets but knowing that I only need to bring one or two at all times. Maybe when I was a kid, this is what I think of and a must. But the reality kicks in and understanding that there is no need to have as many as we can with it is the actuality of it. I can't of other useless things that I need but that's one of the many.

This also happened to me.When I got a good amount of money, I went ahead and bought a bunch of ethical hacking courses. I thought I’d dive deep into cybersecurity but after a while I realized I wasn’t really that interested and never even finished most of them. It felt cool at first but looking back, I didn’t really need them.
