Well, I just found a case that is very curious.
This article not only links to a fraudulent domain impersonating Coinomize, which, unfortunately, no longer surprises me. What does surprise me is that this website is funded with European funds by Enisa, part of the Ministry of industry, energy, and tourism, of the Spanish government, you can see the government seal at the bottom of the page.
The browser displays a security warning when trying to access the fraudulent domain:
coinomize-mixer[.]to -
Scam.
The domain is disabled, as is one of the websites (bitcoin-mixers[.]co) containing the link, anyway, I think it's necessary to have it here.
I don't know to what extent the administrator of that website would be responsible for the links (verified or not), but the curious thing is that Enisa doesn't review the content of the sites to which it allocates public funds...
Yes, this is an important point. Unfortunately, many mixer users are not registered on the forum. Therefore, I think it would be a good idea for all mixers with signature campaigns here on the forum to post a link to their campaign on their homepage.
This would be an additional way to ensure that this is the official website for the mixer, and it might also be a good way to promote the forum. What do you think?
I don't think adding a link to the signature campaign on the official website would be very helpful, as new users would already have accurate and correct information about the official site and official backup domains.
Great find OP.
This is probably one scammer who is behind all this fake mixer websites.
I noticed they are using this tactics before, even using similar websites as mixer reviews rating website with fake links.
It's true, visually they are almost 100% exact copies, but fortunately there are things that scammers cannot hide.
