Altcoins consists of many different coin, it is basically the short term for alternative coins, while you are asking if you believe about altcoins you must specify what coin are you talking about, there are some shitty altcoins while there are some good altcoins which mostly can be find in the coinmarketcap. I would say most of the altcoins are shit but not all ofcourse some of them are really valuable to invest with, you just need to do your own research about specific coin that you think is good.

The thread is old i am thinking if you are following still a reply note my comments .There is no reason not to believe in altcoin .You can say that every altcoin are not worth as the top altcoins .Many altcoin now a days has lost their value as it was long bear momentum but a good altcoin which are potential never be worthless .
