Does smoking increase your IQ?

I am still trying to figure out where the initial idea came from.

Yeah, would make you think. Smoking has been associated with being cool in the past (not so much anymore now I think), but not with being smart. Nothing I have seen would remotely suggest the idea as well.

And even that idea - smoking being cool - has long lost its lustre.

I highly doubt it's really increasing your IQ or something like that. All effects are harmfull and that's really it and there is no other way at all with that. So please do me a favor and do not work with that tobacco companies if you really still do work.

Some people may think it's increasing IQ because smokers suffer from a form of addiction, and when they get their nicotine fix they are able to focus. But that that's just them getting back at their normal level of concentration that they would have without the nicotine addiction distracting them, not them getting smarter.

Our intelligence is affected only by the information that we receive from the outside world.  Smoking does not contribute to this.

For several years I smoked and my IQ has not changed. But I’m wondering how harmful or harming Vape is to human health? There [nofollow]  write that it is safe. I don’t smoke cigarettes now, but I vaping at home. Sometimes, when I sit at the monitor for days, I look at the charts and want to turn off, calm down. Vape helps me do this.

I heard that smoking contributes to weight loss, maybe this is true to some extent, but I don’t think that it is thanks to nicotine that fats are burned.
