Cryptocurrency substitute for Fiat or not

If you equate fiat and cryptocurrency,
of course those who are familiar with cryptocurrency will choose cryptocurrency,
but for those who don't know cryptocurrency, they will choose fiat.
but is cryptocurrency actually a replacement for fiat? or is it just an alternative?

In my view, cryptocurrency will never replace Fiat. Because fiat is a money identity in every country. And every crypto value will always be measured by the value of fiat money. So I agree more if crypto is said to be an alternative to fiat money.

It might take a long time understands with FIAT.
Cryptocurrency only appeared about 10 years ago and it's still new like a baby step.

I never think cryptocurrency is created to substitute or replace Fiat. I don't understand why people always think about it. We can use both of them, crypto and fiat can make world finance better without losing one of them. Each of them has own advantages, It causes both are special and irreplaceable. However, I don't know when all governments around the world will begin to utilize crypto massively to support their national finance in their respective countries.

Cryptocurrencies do not have to replace or substitute fiat. They can co-exist. People will have the option which form of payment to choose.

Crypto is an alternative currency that will become a reserve for fiat currency later. Although the existence of crypto is getting better and many countries legalize crypto in the future, fiat cannot be replaced. Because even, the crypto value will be measured with the fiat value later.

Crypto may be use as an alternative for fiat but it can never replace it. it's just like Credit and debit card they co exist because some establishment is not yet able to accept it as payment method. that's the same as cryptocurrecy.  we can use it both atleast we have other option when paying our goods and bills

A cryptocurrency can only be an alternative to the circulation of an ordinary currency; in any case, it can never replace the national money of states with it. Cryptocurrency can not be associated with the economy of a particular state and this is its big problem. Therefore, no state will abandon its national money.

I feel it is just an alternative the world still need fiat to go on. Crypto indeed have its pros but to replace fiat is not a viable thing working together is already the best that crypto can go.

I will use both of them in every payment transaction, this is a choice and payment using crypto is faster and safer, I don't think fiat will disappear or crypto will replace fiat.crypto very different from fiat because they are very transparent.

Yes I think, Crypto currency will actually a replacement for fiat money. We will see the digital era.

If fiat replaces cryptocurrency, then definitely not in a short time. It is necessary for governments to legalize cryptocurrency and then gradually we would approach this step if it certainly would be beneficial for the entire population.
