It is possible that this source that I cite is not the direct source from which it is actually paraphrased, but it is clear to anyone who looks at the post that it was copied from somewhere - perhaps the Wiki version in another language.

There are also a few more posts in the Gambling board that have parts of the post copied from other sources, although they are fully or partially put in quotation marks.

+1 have given plagiarism strike and sent warning. Post trashed.

@dragononcrypto, thanks for the quick reaction (as always), and for checking additionally - I thought one post was enough. Although if there is one plagiarized post, there is a high probability that there are more.

Strangely, I remember exactly that user when he opened the next topic Ranks and their post, but as things stand, he obviously didn't even read most of the posts because otherwise he would have come to the conclusion that plagiarism is against the rules of the forum.

Because of the 80% rule, I thought it would be best to check for further posts. Even if the blatant citation notes [1], [2], [3], make it obvious it was a re-written copy and paste, that post was borderline 80% plagiarized. Generally it is otherwise correct that one post is enough for a strike, based on previously established mod guidelines at least. I had thought we warned first and striked later but realise this is only for cases were a user may have "forgotten" to add a link, as opposed to blatantly attempting to present plagiarized content as their own such as in replies to topics.

Overall given it only costs $5 to have a single strike removed, giving plagiarism strikes isn't that punishing, especially since even high-ranking members have received them and paid for them to be removed. Ideally the plagiarism penalty (for second offence) would have a higher cost than $10, but usually these users end up with a 3rd strike and posts administrated anyway so kind of irrelevant I guess.

And next, I warned him previously that only copying of news is not needed if there's no own comment on the news and as I see he now is not only copying news via translation (with a link to the source), but gives his comment in the end as well.

Any copy/paste without citing the source is considered plagiarism. It is a kind of theft of digital goods and there is certainly no justification for it.
Otherwise, this is a forum, a place for exchanging opinions and information, it is certainly not welcome when someone conveys someone else's opinion as their own. It is very disappointing that someone does not understand what exactly is the problem here.

I emphasize once again that I have been writing news, technical analysis for more than 10 years, and for fairly well-known sites, and I know the rules. There are links to the source everywhere and there are my own conclusions, and I emphasize once again for those who do not know. )))))  I regularly write news on various websites, the news always comes with a link to the original source from which the translation was made, it's very simple, you just need to understand how news and texts are written, they don't come out of your head.... And in order not to make such comments, you should have read the topic from the beginning. It says there that I have been writing cryptocurrency news for various websites for over 10 years, and I do everything according to the rules.
