why a lot of coins on the market?

Yes i think market need that amount of altcoin. Because in crypto world there are too many investors and people want to invest different coins. Everybody try to find something different. And also we have too many developers in crypto space and they are racing to build better one.  With that race altcoin amount is increasing day by day.

If I wanted to I could easily create my own token in 10 minutes. Is this necessary? Absolutely not. If possible, I'd like to see consolidation of some coins / projects. So their teams and communities could combine to make a more viable cryptocurrency.

The number of varieties of cryptocurrency is not limited. Everyone can organize ICO and issue tokens, especially since there is a chance to collect a good amount. Therefore, along with good and promising ICO projects, a lot of garbage appears on the market without any demand, and therefore such tokens quickly and permanently leave the market. However, vseravno activities of the ICO are needed and very useful, and the more tokens, the better. Unnecessary market will remove itself.
