Can altcoin survive without bitcoin?

All coins are under the control of bitcoin, it takes a long time Altcoin runs alone without bitcoin, because all coins are derivatives of bitcoin. In my opinion it is still difficult, because now the market is still using Bitcoin.

I think, bitcoin is the biggest coin and base of several other coins so it might be very difficult if the altcoin will survive without bitcoin, maybe if the bitcoin dies then the altcoin will also become worthless

It's hard for me to say what will happen to altcoins if Bitcoin becomes useless. Bitcoin will depreciate sharply, and together with them the main oldoini. In this case, exchanges will refuse currency pairs with Bitcoin. I think the blow will be strong, but the altcons will survive.

BTC investment is all time profitable. In my opinion, BTC is king of all cryptocurrency but some altcoins is very profitable for investment. you can choose top 100 coin after-that investment it and many new ico very profitable.

I believe in bitcoin but I am interested in altcoin. altcoin can survive if many investors buy altcoins. maybe only 20 to 30 coins will survive and be able to compete with bitcoin.

Alt survive without BTC, i think that is impossible for now.
Bitcoin is center of all coin when Bitcoin disappear maybe cryptocurrency and all coin in there is disappear too.

We certainly know, that altcoin exists because of bitcoin, but can altcoin survive without bitcoin? or if maybe bitcoin suddenly becomes worthless, can altcoin still survive?

I think altcoins may not be able to survive without Bitcoin, because Bitcoin holds the key of every exchange, every coin has to exchange to either BTC or ETH before it can be exchanged to local currency.

I'm afraid when Bitcoin no longer exists and all altcoins disappear. I put a large enough investment to invest there. But I think bitcoin will not disappear, it will be even more better in the future
