Can Ethereum Return To #2 Position In CMC Before 2018 End?

The market is bearish we all are aware of that, Ripple has been struggling to take the second position on CoinMarketCap for a long time now, most times when it manahed to climb to #2 position, it will not take Ethereum 24hrs to push it back to the #3 place, but in for some days now Ripple has been in the #2 position on CMC and there has been no sign of Ethereum going back there, my question here is will Ethereum get back to #2 before this year end?

I don't think Ethereum will be able to take back its position before this 2018 will end, because Ripple is also getting strong on the cap even in the volume.

I think ethereum will become #2 by 2019 cause there's no good sign at this time for ethereum, ripple is going strong by the end of the year or even now so i guess this is not the year for ethereum.

Agreed, if there is a sufficient bounce, followed by a another consolidation period (say around $5k), then I think Ethereum can retake 2nd place. But admittedly XRP (not Ripple) does seem to be performing better in the bear market, so it will probably maintain that position if the bear market continues.
It says a lot about crypto imo when the no.1 altcoin is XRP

Ethereum is a good coin so there's a big possibility that ethereum will overtake ripple again, I'm not a big fun of ripple.

I am not sure. ethereum is strongly influenced by bitcoin. different from ripple. only a slight decrease in the ripple. I think Ripple is better this year.
