The two celebrities, as CCN reported, had been among the most prolific ICO promoters, pumping crypto tokens on social media while sometimes failing to disclose that the posts — which in several cases promoted illegal securities offerings — were paid-for advertisements.

This must be the price of promoting something you don't really understand just to gain good profits  ;D
Now I wonder when will irresposible youtube shillers be charged too?

what I don't get is, how could they consciously promote something that they know is worthless? knowing fully well that fans will get involved just because of them? I wish they send them too jail! As for the YouTube shillers, it will get to them soon enough.

They're probably misinformed by some of their business advisers and knowing they could also earn money, they just went for it. I bet those who advised them were fired. At least they know better now.

This should be a lesson to every celebrity to be more knowledgeable before promoting any ICO or anything related to a cryptocurrency project.

It might be hard to press charges against youtube shillers since they usually have a disclaimer "This is not a financial advise, always do your own research".

These celebrities like a few crypto investors do not fully understand what they're about and just blindly follow it. For celebrities it gets worse because they have a huge fan base and there's always a bandwagon effect with regards to what they throw their weight behind. I guess this will serve as a deterrent to others

You know, I find it quite funny that even with this disclaimer people still go ahead and believe in this people, quoting their words and advice as gospel and when things go sour, they turn around crying, they were deceived!

what the heck is wrong with you dude? Can't you form your own words? Must you steal from others? You are obviously intelligent enough to copy and paste but you can't formulate your own?

Hmm,, this is illegal and they deserve a second chance. But US stuffs is very strict. Hope they will not put restrictions to bounty Hunters too.

US has strict regulation that's why they where excluded from participanting in many ico bounties as well as airdrops. But actually they deserve a second chance
