ALTS token - a brief overview

I just checked the information about ALTS on etherscan:

Currently, there are only 565 holders of ALTS, hope we have more wallet addresses soon, because the number of wallets is also one of the criteria to evaluate the success of a token. The number of members of AltcoinsTalks is about to reach 75000, there is no reason for us not to reach 7500 ALTS wallet addresses in 2020

ALTS is a token created on the Ethereum blockchain and supports the ERC20 standard, so it is fully functional as other cryptocurrency tokens.

With small supply ALTS token can really do well in the future, i will suggest team to come up with more use cases, something like reddit is offering with their coins, like premium forum membership for alts tokens or banner or pay per click ads on the forum for alts token.

ALTS has the opportunity to become a coin that the project will use for promotion here. I am sure that the few years will increase the volume of ALTS. Keep watch

Yeh I'm thinking of the next few years too, not the near future, not with current gas prices either. Patience is a virtue. Until my 4.1 gwei transaction clears, it's still worth a lot less than 1m basicslly

I guess this is a start to having use cases:

- Removing plagia strike: You lose half your points and you need to send 10 ALTS to the address above.
- Removing plagia penalty: You lose all your points and you need to send 50 ALTS to the address above.
- Removing negative karma: You lose some of your points and you need to send 3 ALTS/per negative karma to the address above.

Sounds like a fair deal to me. Edit: According to my math, this is now the new value of -karma to alts:

• The negative karma score goes up by a factor of 4 as follows:
• 1 negative karma: - 100 to 400 points ~ equivalent to 1-4 ALTS
• 2 negative karma: - 400 to 1,000 points ~ equivalent to 4-10 ALTS
• 3 negative karma: - 1,600 to 4,000 points ~ equivalent to 16-40 ALTS
• 4 negative karma - 6,400 to 16,000 points ~ equivalent to 64-160 ALTS
• 5 negative karma - 25,600 to 64,000 points ~ equivalent to 256-640 ALTS

It would be more exciting if there are ongoing developmental plans for the ALTS token which can really push this forum to the top and compete well with the other forum out there. Of course, that can entail some needed resources and time for those who are going to focus on the project, but we can do it as a community am sure many of the members here can volunteer to their part...and that can be the beauty of it we can make it as a cooperative type of venture. Okay, I am just suggesting.

It's a good suggestion, based on the idea of as community raising the utility and value of ALTS. After all, there are over 500 hodlers at present, the aim of this forum is to be a decentralized revenue sharing platform, therefore the responsibility of giving use to our token is also shared.

As I've referenced before, hopefully this comes from advertising revenue from forum banners in different sections, which is also part of the decentralized revenue sharing model for moderators. Hopefully this will inspire our team of 30+ to start bringing in revenue in ALTS, but we'll see.

Indeed, it's also slightly confusing though as this forum has two tokens, both ALTS and ALTT. ALTS is distributed for activity (100 points to 1 ALTS) whereas ALTT is distributed for contests, giveaways & prom9tion and has much larger token supply. The value of the forum however is determined by ALTS, not ALTT, for now at least.

For now, I don't have this ALTS token myself, but I hope that in the future I can have it. Very lucky to be able to join Altcoinstalks Forum, because we have a great opportunity to get ALTS. If one day the ALTS Token can enter the big market, it is not impossible that it will increase the popularity of this Altcoinstalks forum.
