the fees have been very low for many days now, every now and then there are some spikes of 80 sat per vbyte but nothing significant
it is worth it, who needs it to do a consolidation of the UTXO now so as not to have to make a scary expense in the future to move their funds

Ethereum Forum / Re: Is this a good time to buy/stake ETH?
« on: May 31, 2024, 04:38:33 PM »
I don't know about Ethereum honestly, but I think so, but I bet $100 on OPtimism
I think that if ETH goes up because of ETFs and other things, OP will be interested in this rise and will perform better than ETH, in my opinion obviously
I am convinced that without the 2 layers the ETH network cannot work at all

« on: May 31, 2024, 04:35:08 PM »
today I had a little bit of free time and I went to clean up a little and I found something very beautiful that moved me
I found an old world of minetest

(I advise everyone to take a look, minetest is a lighter open source clone of minecraft)

and in this world I played with my son when he was 4-5 years old
what memories

it's obviously a political strategy
in my opinion he didn't even understand how cryptocurrencies work, but simply because Biden says white he must say the opposite, so black.. I see it this way
I don't like the way of campaigning in this way, but I prefer an idiot like Donald who leaves freedom intact

@babo, whoever wants to prevent unwanted situations simply has to think outside the box - because that's the only way to reduce all possible risks. Most people use paper as a backup, but it is no secret that paper is something that is not resistant to fire, water, chemicals, physical damage... although there are special types of paper that can have some improved properties.

That's why there are metal plates made of steel on which any important information can be engraved, and when stored in this way, we can save what is important to us. Of course, this is not the ultimate solution, because any backup is subject to theft or loss, and therefore it is necessary to have at least two backups in different locations if possible.

exactly Lucius I was thinking exactly about that, titanium plates that you can engrave with the tools that they make available to you
when I think physical backup I actually mean that, something long-lasting that nothing can scratch and destroy, otherwise it would be a big problem, of course
there are some nice ones among other things

very bad news for Roma, if Napoli loses Osimhen Victor they will necessarily go looking for a top striker and therefore they will certainly go and try to buy or borrow Romero Lukaku
bad bad bad
they have to hurry up and conclude if they want to keep him
Roma really need Lukaku but low budget and tries with getting loan extend, but Chelsea want to sell him and make him get permanent contract with the other team. Chelsea will priority with team giving higher offer fees transfer and recently Napoli with new manager Antonio Conte announced his interested for making reunion with Lukaku by selling Victor Osimhen. Roma need prepare much money if serious want to keep Lukaku for next season,
but if lower fees transfer under 40 million euro seems difficult for Lukaka get more extending one year later with AS Roma because Chelsea never has ideas any more loan him again.

yes the situation is looking bad for Roma
Napoli is also planning to spend money from the sale of Osimhen, so De Rossi can simply say goodbye to Lukaku and start looking for another one in a hurry
if he doesn't have people who score goals.. it's understandable

well look, I honestly don't understand anything
I only know that I once enjoyed following, now working full time and with a few small jobs I no longer have time to assiduously follow the market
shame it was very funny I must say

do you follow him assiduously? you trade or just like me, you observe

Everyone has some priorities in life, there is nothing strange if at some point you can no longer devote as much time to something as before. However, I don't see that there is anything special to understand about all of this, the market mainly functions according to the principle of supply and demand, which can be affected by good or bad news.

I can say that I am mostly informed about what is happening, but I am not a professional who trades or has a business related to cryptocurrencies.

Yes, unfortunately there are commitments that cannot be waived at times
work, chores, family and children
it becomes very complicated to carve out time to study or follow the market in a good way

let alone follow all the beautiful altcoins that have come out
for example I would like to study the atom ecosystem well

If Napoli let go of Osimhen and intend to borrow Lukaku then that is clearly bad news for Roma if they really want to get Lukaku. But there is other news which also states that Roma might give up on getting Lukaku because Roma still feels they will not be able to pay Lukaku's transfer fee. So it is reported that Roma is also looking for other options.
I don't know for sure what As Roma is experiencing financially. But what I do know is that teams don't always allocate a lot of money to sign a player, so that might be a problem for them.

If As Roma will give up on keeping Lukaku, then which player will they target next? De Rossi will probably think and look for players he can bring in, and maybe he will look for young players to promote and I think that is a good option.

so in the end the new coach isn't getting much
if Lukaku loses he will have to find another top striker to replace him and he doesn't even have too much of a budget to spend
it becomes complex for him if he loses it

We'll see how things evolve in the next few weeks

Trump DOES NOT CARE about crypto and to prove this point, even the libertarians were booing him so hard at the event that he literally said something like "You know what, you can keep finishing with 3% of the vote forever" or something like that.

Do you really think that the crypto situation will become better under Trump?

Sure, maybe it will get a little better - but that is for the US business (i.e. exchanges, miners) only, not for you and me. They are going to keep attacking crypto even in a second Trump administration.

I know very well that he doesn't care about anything, I said so
he simply has to campaign
but he must be careful not to promise things and then not keep them, his voters could get really angry

I honestly don't understand this fury against self custody

obviously everyone has something to learn, I have learned that it can happen that an IT security system can fail
so better to have some sort of fallback in the non-computing real world

even in the real computer world maybe you have a piece of paper hidden in your house fine, but the house catches fire and you're screwed
for me you need to have both systems

11
You are right. Because on the one hand, Roma really needs Lukaku. Meanwhile, Chelsea doesn't need it. In fact, they always want to let it go. So it could indeed be a good offer if Lukaku's price is lowered again so that Roma can also think about buying him permanently. Lukaku's contribution to Roma is huge. And yes it can be a win-win proposition. Because Chelsea can also buy other players if they succeed in selling Lukaku.

https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/technology/hacker-defies-the-odds-unlocks-3-million-bitcoin-wallet-locked-since-2013/ar-BB1nhoaK

find the complex password and unlock a wallet, the link is not in Italian but I will explain it to you in simple words
a guy had made his own nice cute little wallet with a password
he had taken the password and saved it on a truecrypt volume

everything is beautiful, everything is fantastic, but the volume somehow got ruined
goodbye money, complex password generated by software

then a hacker comes to help, first he says no and then he says yes to doing the job
the password generator was software that had a bug
they get to work on the 2013 version of this software, find the bug and manage to figure out HOW TO GENERATE passwords that are the same as at the time
they were not random

they start generating a mountain of passwords and in the end obviously thanks to the password generator bug they catch it
wallet unlocked, money back up

happy ending

there are some things to learn from this story, they are homework

if you are a holder yes, you have to be patient and not care about volatility
Investors must care the volatility. If there is no volatility, investors can't get big profits.  :D
But investors may not really care about the temporary price changes. They keep holding as long as it doesn't reach the target.

if you are a trader and you are good, volatility is a playground for you, the best time to make a lot of money
Volatility is needed. Even, traders expect a fast change in the price. If it can raise quickly, traders can get fast profits.
There is no price change if there is no volatility in crypto prices.

clearly if you are not expert you will only lose money
At least, we must have sufficient knowledge and understand the basic things of investment or trading. In this way, we don't easily lose money because we understand how to invest or trade in a proper way.

Yes, I absolutely agree with what you say my dear
I just said that you can't improvise as a trader, either you know how to trade or you don't
if you know some figures as you say or something about technical analysis this is not enough
you haven't had experience and that matters a lot, so even if you try it will definitely end badly (my experience)

Are these not campaign promises that don't get fulfilled when elected as president? If we can remember vividly, Trump wasn't in support of crypto when he was the president of the USA.

Trump has once tweeted condemning bitcoin, saying that he is not a fan of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.

Why support what you don't believe in before? I see this campaign promises of Trump as all lies

simply our friend Donald is on the election campaign
I admit that trying to block self-custody sounds a lot like a way to try to control everything and possibly put your hands in people's pockets
so this thing really sucks
but I don't know if Trump will be coherent

For now Chelsea even have young players like Palmer who are getting sharper in attack. So that Lukaku's role seems to be increasingly unnecessary. And indeed it can make the club again reduce Lukaku's transfer price so that there are clubs who really want to get it. Lukaku is quite unlucky. Because his fate is always uncertain every transfer market comes.

true, but it could be a really good deal for Rome, for example if it had an affordable price from certain points of view, i.e. economic
so Chelsea gets rid of him and gets some money
but I don't know if this marriage can happen or it will never happen

it would be good for both of us
