Yes we can say that Bitcoin can be somehow defined as an investment knowing that it can certainly make a profit out from it. But it cannot Replace an investment on a physical asset like land / properties, because land value doesn't follow a pulse trend like Bitcoin...

I think the reason why many people said Bitcoin is suitable for long term investment because they cannot predict the bitcoin price. We all know after the years ago, today bitcoin is going strong now. I think It is good for trading now.

I am one of people that don't like for long term investment. I haven't hold bitcoin, I buy when low and wait the higher price then sell it. I have gotten profit from.price gaps. Bitcoin is good for daily trading now.

For now ,I think Bitcoin is suitable for short term investment and daily trading. For long term is more risky. Because bitcoin price is so high now,  You can buy now, hold several day then sell your bitcoin, you will get profit.wait the higher price.
