Thank you for your kind sentiments and for trying to help.
I had never heard of Noones.com before, but I tried it now and here is the result
You are sadly correct :(
I asked their support for this and they sent me link I posted below, than I found Syria there.
This is not my suggestion but there is no strict kyc there, so there is a chance you could still use it partially with vpn or tor browser.
https://support.noones.com/hc/en-us/articles/6578722949647-List-of-countries-blocked-on-Noones

I think best solution is for more people to adopt crypto in your country.
So can you tell me what payment services actually work in Syria?
Are payment cards work only locally or they can be used in other countries?

Forum related / Re: Bitcoin Pizza Day at AltcoinsTalks
« on: May 24, 2024, 09:01:02 PM »
This would require, above all, good sponsors. The contest on Bitcointalk is more interesting because, in addition to valuable prizes, many users have an excellent opportunity for merit hunting.
That's why we have some very interesting creations, which, apart from ketchup, have nothing in common with pizza. But there should be some merit at least for the effort.
Instead of merits members here could earn karma in AltcoinsTalks forum 8) and admin can spread some love with sharinf alt tokens and unlocking some functionalities in forum.
I am sure people would be interested to join here and some sponsors would appear sooner or later.
Maybe we should have Pancake competition instead  :D

I have rechecked and I am seeing that it is not the problem with their website the problem is with my region & IP.
I gave another try with another VPN and it is working fine now.
It might be a good idea to use Tor and vpn when you are visiting mixing services like this or anything in general.
We know that government can always demand all information for visited websites of all citizens, and they could use that in future against people.
If they can now charge someone for something he wrote on social media many years ago in some countries like Canada, than they can do anything.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: Joinmarket.net (discussion) experience?
« on: May 24, 2024, 08:49:54 PM »
I don't think JoinMarket has anything to worry about, although the website itself going down is annoying, because it was just an informational resource.
I think it will become more popular in future, but don't expect low fees for that.
It would be interesting to see if someone is going to advertise Joinmarket more, maybe even in forum campaigns, and how would that affecti new bitcointalk rules.
Joinmarket is not coinjoin and it's not centralized, so it theory it should be allowed service.

Certainly, the graph from Similarweb shows that there is a sudden increase in visits to the site
That is a huge jump, something must be cooking behind the scenes ;)

The strangest thing is how there is literally no activity from the OP. If they were professional, then they would've came out and at least announced that it would be shutting down. Although it would've been even better if they gave the reason for doing so. Just taking down the website with no comment like some of these other mixers have done comes off as really unprofessional.
Yeah I agree with you.
Even a simple Goodbye, we are closing our business message on their website would be enough for most of us, except in case if someone attacked and shutdown their service, server and domain.

But at least Whirlwind actually made an attempt at communicating with users beyond just an ANN thread. This person just created a mixer, created an ANN and then went away from keyboard ever since then.
He went away after I asked him to tell me how much reserves he has and what amount of coins can be mixed.
I don't think he was serious enough, it was just a test for him, unless he tried to scam few people.

I saw many people losing coins with it, and I am always afraid of losing as well... I hold very little btc in lightning
I don't hold anything in Lightning, but if I need to pay something or receive LN payment than I can always use Aqua wallet, and later move L-BTC to mainnet bitcoin.
After so many years of working on Lightning we are not getting any closer to wide adoption or more decentralization, things are going in different direction.

Forum related / Re: Campaigns and Forums Traffic
« on: May 23, 2024, 10:11:03 PM »
I think it is important to think in USD terms, not in BTC terms.
With that thinking most of the early adopters of Bitcoin sold all their coins.
You can use any math you want to make yourself feel bad when something is going down, but I won't do that by choice ;)

You could just have used your real life wage to buy more BTC each week...
Forum campaigns are NOT the same thing as dollar cost averaging, and in past most of them had only BTC value, not USD.
On top of that USD and all other fiat currencies are always going down in value, so $100 today is not the same as $100 few years ago.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: Roger Ver has been arrested
« on: May 23, 2024, 10:05:19 PM »
See? They give people all kinds of stupid-ass sentences for a tax-related crime.
This New Normal world is crazy, so they could even arrest you for thinking with your own head soon.
Tell me again who was arrested from politicians and rich people like Gates who visited Epstein Island multiple times?
Oh right, they paid ''taxes'' for that so it's all fine and nobody should talk about that anymore.  :P

Ross is serving a double-life sentence without parole for making a drug store.
Right, they made him look worse that a serial killer, and we allready know corrupt agents worked on his case.
Than you have Julian Assange, and who knows how many others who got silenced and suicided.
List is getting bigger every day.

I was surprised by the lack of activity about the pizza day. This is the first thread am seeing today commemorating the Bitcoin pizza day.
Yeah competitions would be nice and the reward doesn't have to be huge.
Maybe this could happen next year in AltcoinsTalks if we make some plans earlier.
I think everyone is now busy making pizzas in bitcointalk because rewards are very good for best pizza designs.

But for that we need to have sponsor I think the campaign manager can help though to arrange a contest like this.
First year we started doing this in bitcointalk there was no big sponsors and it was all done in discord.
I don't know if there are any big days like this for other altcoins, but this would be a fun way to increase activity.

Forum related / Re: Can we add Links in Profile Avatars?
« on: May 23, 2024, 09:51:00 PM »
That would make it kind of like a second signature, no?
Or link for personal websites, blog, etc. but it won't be the same as signatures.

I'm not sure what kind of use it would have if your avatar is chosen for you by a signature campaign though. It would be pretty weird to have the avatar of some service and then when you click on it, it takes you to a completely different website.
It is weird now when you click on Mixtum avatar and you open my profile page ;)
In case I use my own avatar I can add link for my own service, or link can be added below avatar as personal text.

Unfortunately, my brother, this is true. Most of the services available to all countries on the Internet, whether free or paid, are not available in Syria. This is painful for us, the simple Syrian people who have nothing to do with politics. America and Western governments believe that they are punishing the Syrian regime, but in reality they are punishing us for no reason.
It's all just one big stupid game between politician puppets  :P
Not sure what is working for your country, but have you tried using Noones.com p2p exchange?
I don't see Syria in the list of restricted countries and they don't have any kyc verification for up to $700 daily trading.

Crypto Wallets / Re: Are you using Hardware Wallets?
« on: May 23, 2024, 09:37:55 PM »
Keystone 3 pro is a good one.
Keystone is not bad hardware wallet, but I know some people who are having issues with their battery.
If you don't use it so often make sure to charge it and never leave it for a long time with depleted empty battery.
It is possible to replace it later, but it's not that easy like in older version.

Do you use lighting network? It is amazing to move coins between exchanges if you never used it!
I don't use it so often and I was never a big fan of Lightning Network.
Only use case for me is in case of high transaction fees on main chain, and for sending very small transaction in sats.
There is also an issue of centralization and censorship with Lightning, like we saw with Phoenix wallet recently.

I am not worried at all because I don't use Binance exchange.
CZ is just one of the crypto guys who got arrested recently and he won't be the last, but that is not affecting Bitcoin, it can only affect his binance chain coins and tokens.
Only potential problem can happen if government seize and sells bitcoins from him and binance exchanges.
