I am sorry if I repeating anything but I want to know this,
The screenshot below I have already marked the stars, may I know why these stars are given in to some specific topic? I know it will be something like good topics shorting, But I want to know on what basis these topics are getting stars.
This is rating of that topics. good rating means quality topic/project you know. The president and vice president give these ratings if the quality of the project is good. you may find that some signature or bounty campaigns are also rated as such.
From the screenshot it looks like the rating can be given on any topic. The 2 in the screenshot are not bounty or signature campaigns, so I would assume it just has to be a quality discussion going on within a topic right?

I like over 224.5 more than I like taking the points tonight. Game is either going to be Boston by alot or Indiana wins. Don't feel like there is any middle ground here. Nembhard, Haliburton, Turner and others are going to have to be hitting their 3 pointers. Going to need a decent game out of Siakim as well, he needs to be a rebounding machine and control the paint.
If Haliburton will play in Game 3, there's a chance that Indiana will win in both Games on their home.
Apparently, he suffered a sore left hamstring injury in the 3rd quarter causing him to not return until the end of the game. I believe that the game might be closer if he just played, but I just hope that he will recover and will play in both of their home games to increase their chances.

Just for context, the Pacers are 1-12 all-time in the playoffs when they are down 0-2 and 1-8 in a best of 7 series. This might mean a lot especially when they are up against a team that may believe to win it all this year. The problem with the Pacers is that they might be one of the best offensive teams during the regular season, but they are also one of the worst defensive teams as well. They are giving up too many points to their opponent, and with a team like Celtics, they will take advantage of that weakness of them.

Anyway, I still believe that the Pacers will at least win on their home, but they will not win in this series. Not against a team like Boston. :)
The Pacers screwed up by not taking game 1. That would have given them the series advantage and depleted some of Boston's confidence. The Pacers kept it close in the 1st half of last night, but like I thought, Boston turned it on in the 3rd quarter and it was game over.

The worst thing about last night was not that the Pacers lost, but that they might lose Haliburton. He is getting an MRI today and we will know a little more about what is going on,  but if Haliburton isn't able to play the series is over.

Such a weird game also in game 1 of Wolves vs. Mavs with so many mistakes/turnovers on both sides. This is also the first time I've seen someone getting called for offensive goal tending.

Both Luka and ANT were having a bad night but Luka caught fire at the right moment.

How did your bet go? I lost mine.

Lost my bet too as I thought that the Wolves' frontline would pose problems for the Mavs but it didn't happen. Just fortunate for the Mavs that Irving caught fire early in the game and when Luka exploded, that's it for the Wolves. That game was 50-50, it's just that the breaks of the game favored the Dallas Mavericks.

Yeah, very unpredictable game, in the first half it was clear that the Wolves have the upperhand although they seems to missed a lot of open 3's wherein in the Nuggets series, they are hitting it. And then their defense falls apart against Luka, although no one can really guard Luka in the playoff. But as I have said before, when Irving goes into his mode, it's hard to stop him and he will score at will. And so he did shows it here that's why they won. Next game is the Pacers vs Celtics. I haven't check the odds yet, but I might go on the Pacer with the + handicap as they show that they can beat the Celtics at home.
Anthony Edwards calling out Kyrie was a silly move. Basically Kyrie exploded out the gate with 20+. First time he has came out with a fire lit up under his ass. Not smart to go poking at players especially those that IMO are great.

It was the first time that Kyrie seems to be playing with a mission here. Perhaps ANT thought that he can used the same mind games when he had a duel with KD during their series. But Kyrie and specially Luka are built differently. There basketball IQ and mentality has been tested before. And it's not like a player of ANT caliber, I mean he doesn't have the experience to trash talk the likes of Kyrie who has a lot of experience than him.

Now, Pacers vs Celtics tonight. The lines are Boston -9 currently and the over under is 224.5. Boston got lucky to come away with a win in game 1. Should have lost that game and been motivated to fight hard tonight. I think the Pacers cover 9 and again I would probably be looking at the o224.5 and taking over. Game 1 was 234 points without the OT and it felt like they got that easy. More of the same coming tonight as noither team is really awesome at defense. Jrue holiday is the exception obviously as that dude is a great defender, but mostly everyone else isn't all that awesome for the Celtics.

I already got the +9.5 for Pacers @1.86. And probably another high scoring game for both team, Pacers specially with their hot shooting and there are no defense at all except in the last couple of minutes of the game. So I'm expecting another close game, and even if the Celtics are going to win, it will not be a huge margin and I think the Pacers can cover that handicap for us.

It's going to take time for this forum to grow but I did expect more companies would be here by now. It's been almost 6 months.
Same here, especially gambling companies. They make up the majority of signature campaigns on Bitcointalk and a lot more announce themselves there, but same has not been replicated here yet.

If more companies come in, the pay should get more competitive as everyone looks to capture the traffic.

- Jay -

The gambling section is more active now than it used to be, I think this year is their best
year it's only a matter of time before the top advertisers will see the benefit of advertising here who knows this year we'll see the likes of Stakes or Duelbits making their way here, we only need one top casino to start their campaign here and many will follow its lead.
We have seen 2 or 3 casinos here so far this year and all campaigns have ran short term campaigns. Part of the issue is they likely were not getting the sign ups they had hoped for which makes you wonder if the users here are all mainly hunting money or are there actual gamblers, hodlers, or traders on this forum? Are there users that will use a service or just users looking to make a dollar advertising?

Overall, I feel like we currently are a small forum that has loads of room to grow. It's not going to blow up over a months time, but slow and steady growth and by next year we might start seeing a bit more interest from companies looking to advertise. January is when this forum got a rebirth so to speak, let's see what the forum looks like after a year.

It's good to see a new face to win the championship this year. Out of the four teams remaining, I think Tatum and the Celtics deserves it the most but I have no problem if Luka's Mavs gets it. Anyway, how do you plan on betting in game 1 of the EC Finals? Are you going to skip it to see how they will match up?

Betting for the Pacers +9.5 @2.01 as this game is like a getting to know each other game hehe so i think even if the Celtics win game 1 they will not cover the spread. But i would love to see the Pacers upset the Celtics in the East Finals as i have a bet on them @15.0, very juicy to think that the Celtics is a beatable team.

Looking at the odds now, +10.5 is still very attractive @1.84 so I'm taking this one. This is going to be a close one, usually the Celtics started slow in the first two games of the series. And so this first game, specially coming from a rest, might put them at a disadvantage. Plus the Pacer are high in momentum right now after that big win against the Knicks and it shows their character.

Congrats to us bro hehe, it was indeed a close and exciting game. The Pacers almost took that one if one for that costly error by the Pacers in the dying seconds which lead to a three point shot by Jalen Brown that tied the game and went into overtime. The game was also a high scoring one so congrats also to those who bet for the "over 230.5" before the started.
As expected for these 2 teams, the score is quite high as they're the top 2 teams in the regular season in terms of offensive ratings.

TBH, I'm shocked with how the Pacers played in Game 1. If only Brown's 3-point shot didn't go in, we might've seen an upset in Game 1. I didn't expect that the game will end up in a close one. Well, I guess I underestimated the Pacers so much knowing how good the Celtics are. Coming into Game 2, the Celtics have a curse where in their first 2 series, they lost in both Game 2's on their home. Will we see it in Game 2 as well?
With 10 seconds left and the Pacers leading 117-114, the Pacers should have fouled and put the Celtics on the free throw line. If they do that, Celtics cannot score 3 and tie the game up sending it to OT. It would have turned into a free throw shooting contest and as long as the Pacers don't miss, they win the game.

Really not sure what the head coach was thinking there, but he blew it for sure.

Pacers+10 currently and I'd have to take the 10. Boston has been pretty dominant in every series, but Indiana is the highest scoring team in the NBA this year averaging 123 points per game. If they can get near that, they will cover the spread, however Boston is the number 2 scoring offense in the NBA this year. If Boston plays some good defense( will have to be very good D), they have a shot at blowing the Pacers out in game 1.

I'd be torn between taking the Pacers +10 and taking the o222 points. Both teams can put up some points.

Go big or go home!!! When you gamble are you looking to make $1 or are you looking to make $1000? What's the point if you are just trying to make $1? If you're out with your friends and just entertaining yourself your goal is likely just to break even and have fun. If you're gambling for a living and making money to pay bills and support your everyday life, your goal should be to make moderate to high bets and try to get paid while not risking the whole bankroll on 1 bet. Kinda mix it up and hope for a lucky streak. This only applies to games such as dice, roulette, blackjack, or other table games. If you're playing slots, I always max bet but in the end I expect to lose.

General Discussion / Re: What do you think of Elon Musk?
« on: May 21, 2024, 03:10:59 PM »
Clown. Pardon, rich clown.

but i'll say the guy have great contributions (whether he's a free person or just a puppet)

I see him as the same clown as Donald Trump. Yes, it is a little more sophisticated and younger, of course, which makes it much more adaptable to technology and modern things.
When he was shilling for DOGE, he behaved like a jerk. Later he tried to manipulate Bitcoin, but it didn't go as he thought.

Does anyone remember his posing while taking over Twitter?

You don't like Trump? I think people fail to realize that it doesn't matter who sits in that seat labeled President. Everything is controlled by the house and Senate. President is basically a puppet. Democrat or Republican doesn't matter. It's the agenda behind the scenes that matter, that we the general public don't really pay attention to.

Speaking of Musk though, guy has done some good for the world although most would view him as an egotistical prick. If you had his money, would you be any better?

Sig campaigns seems to be about the only way these days. The good bounty campaign days have been gone for awhile, now most of those turn scam and never list the token or never have any buy support. Faucets aren't really a thing anymore either. Used to be able to claim a decent amount from those daily. When crypto prices went above $2000 per bitcoin, free things started disappearing. Well that and greedy users botting.

There isn't room for everyone,  even for the most reputable members.

Other members don't want to participate in some campaigns if they are paid below their expectations, and that is perfectly fine.
The lower payrate is definitely not a motivator for users. It's fine for some, but others are used to at the minimum, what they have been getting from the other forum and that just hasn't happened here so far. Probably why not as many reputable users joining here IMO.

It's going to take time for this forum to grow but I did expect more companies would be here by now. It's been almost 6 months.

Would like to find a better offer than my current offer. I'm not to motivated with the current rates, so if any company is looking to make a fair offer for my sig space, please feel free to reach out and negotiate a deal. Looking for at least triple what the rates are currently on this forum. Open to negotiate weekly post counts as well. Take care everyone.

Should be 2 great games today as both are game 7 and 2 teams are being eliminated. Pacers vs Knicks the home team has won every game. Will today be different? Anunoby is a gametime decision, Hart is a gametime decision, and Brunson is probably worn out from Fridays game 6 where he played 37 minutes. I think the Pacers have a chance here.

Game 7 in the Denver vs Twolves series however is a toss up. Both teams have shown they can win on the other teams home court. Both teams have shown they can blowout the other. This series is gonna come down to heart. Should be a great game to watch.

If you noticed recently those who were active in the forum when they were in any of the paused campaigns are no longer posting again, because there are no more in campaign and once there is a new campaign open, you will notice that they will come back again.

This happens even on Bitcointalk. After the mixer was banned, Jambler was also turned off, now Bestchange, some of the most generous campaigns are no longer on the forum. You can certainly feel that lack. Add to that that over time, certain old users leave the forum for other reasons, and a decrease in activity is expected.
Yah you are right I noticed that too. And recently a lot of campaigns have left the forum over there making many members stranded and many of them are not posting again. While some have left the forum and if this continues then most of the good members will leave the forum and once they left then the forum will turn to spammers and scammers zone and the falling of the forum might come from there unless the admin do something fast. +Karma for you. You speak well.
People are using the forum for money, plain and simple. Doesn't matter which forum, they are only active and posting if they're paid for it. Go look at spreadsheets and look at the number of posts required and the number of posts done weekly. Most times, if they got a 25 per week qouta they do exactly 25.

I'm not against earning money, but what some users need to realize is they have to be active all the time if they want a manager to accept them into a campaign. You cannot be told that so n so just launched a campaign and suddenly you make 10 posts really quick and hope to get a spot. Managers will check how active you have been and pick someone else.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: Roger Ver has been arrested

Likely won't be the 1st bitcoiner from the beginning that we see arrested for evading taxes. Government is always watching, people need to realize that. They're getting their piece regardless.
How can they charge him for avoiding taxes when he renounced US citizenship a long time ago?
He doesn't live there anymore, but problem is that he is a public figure and they don't like what he is saying, so fter so many years they just now decided to arrest him in foreign country.
Last thing I hear that he is now in the same prison as John McAfee in Spain, let's hope they won't kill him in similar way.
Depends on when he sold bitcoins and where he operated business from. If he was operating from the USA or sold btc while living in the USA, they can get their piece.
