The crypto market is rapidly expanding, attracting the interest of a wide range of individuals, particularly young people. However, not everyone encounters unwavering support from their families when venturing into this domain.

Several of my companions engage in crypto activities but keep their involvement a secret from their families. They fear that their families will disapprove or even forbid them from continuing to participate in markets perceived as volatile, such as cryptocurrencies. Older generations often view crypto as a risky investment with the potential for significant losses. Moreover, due to media portrayals, some individuals believe that crypto is unlawful, not legally safeguarded, and that participating could land the entire family in legal trouble. Convincing families to comprehend and endorse crypto participation proves to be a significant psychological burden for many investors.

On the other hand, those fortunate enough to have family members knowledgeable about crypto and supportive of its potential benefit are more motivated to learn and thrive in this sector. They are spared the unnecessary stress of family disapproval and can focus on their work and investments.

While acknowledging the inherent risks associated with crypto, it's evident that in countries that haven't prohibited it, crypto represents a promising investment opportunity, potentially generating employment, tax revenue, and profits.

Despite my occupation solely involving translating crypto-related documents, several relatives express concern that I am assisting nefarious individuals in undermining national finances. While their imaginations may surprise me, their concerns are misplaced  :(

To alleviate family apprehensions and garner their support, I've employed a few strategies:

  • Education: I've delved into the intricacies of crypto and blockchain technology, comprehending their operations and establishing a safe entry point into the market. Subsequently, I've simplified and shared this knowledge with my family.
  • Income as Proof: My earnings from this market have contributed positively to family life, often exceeding my income from my primary occupation. This tangible evidence demonstrates the potential of crypto to generate financial rewards.

Do you encounter resistance from family members opposed to your participation in the crypto market? How have you approached resolving this situation? Share your experiences and let's engage in a constructive discussion.

Sometimes it is difficult to make the family believe that the things they do are right, and that somehow they want to benefit from things, so when we are in a business, trading, or anything like playing in a casino and doing well, it is difficult for some to believe him, because basically things are always done so that one has profits, if the age is one of those who need the approval of his family to do things, he will not do it. I recommend it, in fact I have a very particular experience with my family, because things when it comes to money you can give and teach them everything is fine, but in my particular chaos when they had a good job and with crypto, they never told me nothing.

That was something that upset me a lot, because things must be harmonious, and only for that reason I cut off relations directly, because if they did something like that for money, I don't want to imagine what they would do for bigger things.

I see many people in my local area who are trading cryptocurrencies at a young age, I am often surprised by them. Cryptocurrencies have become attractive to the new generation so quickly which is to be commended. If we collect money from the family and lose it due to our own ignorance after investing in crypto, then after the family comes to know about it, they will definitely accept cryptocurrency negatively. On the other hand, it is natural that those who are successful will take it differently. But the successful ones are those who quickly adapt this technology to themselves who are able to trust. If money can be taken for long-term investment without giving any assurance that is the best way but convincing it is totally depend on own self.

I don't like dragging my family to the cryptocurrency ecosystem space. I do my things by myself and I don't nto involve my family to my investment but if any of them see my progress and ready to invest and I have the chance to teach them I do that so that the burden on me will reduce. Life is a competition and I don't want a family member to come compete with me. But I can I assist them whenever they need my attention I but I will not involve myself fully to their activities. I do my things on my way.

Even till now, non of my family members knows I am into crypto except my wife, and she doesnt even have a clear understanding of what crypto is.
But come to think of it, why exactly should I let my family know or seek their permission before I get into crypto?, when it's not like they are the one to fund me, or give me the funds to invest in crypto.
I find this a bizarre thing to even think about, not to talk of do, except we are talking about a situation where I have to beg my family for money to invest in crypto, then this will be a separate thing altogether as I will have to explain to them what crypto is, and try to convince them that the money they will give to me will not be a waste, outside  of this, i see no reason to want to seek permission from my family before I into crypto.

Hmmm... I don't even know how to answer that.... But I'll give it a shot.
First of all - I have the feeling that you are talking about children who are not quite old enough, for whom their fathers and grandfathers are responsible and who can forbid them to do something.  This is normal from the side of "parents", because for most of the older generation "all these new technologies are evil and incomprehensible" :)
But if we are talking about adults who are forbidden to do something.... Then it is time for them to become ADULTS, and explain that he is an independent person, and will do what he considers necessary, but not violating the law. And their advice "senior family members" can keep to themselves and for themselves.
So I don't see any problem !

OP, I have this belief that even if I had told my parents or family about my cryptocurrency endeavors, they probably would have discouraged me from venturing into them because of their volatile nature. Some years ago, there was an investment I made with about $800. That was my biggest investment then, but I lost that investment because the company crashed. But after I finally got better knowledge about Bitcoin, I regret why I had ever listened to my relatives to make that investment. If I had invested that money in Bitcoin, then I would have made about 5X of my capital during 2021, when the price of Bitcoin pumped so high. So, even after I learned about Bitcoin, I did not disclose to many of my family members what I was doing. My mom is aware, and I have her support, as she told me, "as long as it's not something that will scam me."

But, I don't need much family support or what so ever to invest in Bitcoin; I just need to determine within myself that Bitcoin investment is what I want to go into, and then I start investing.

Have most of the people here experienced something similar? because at first I also experienced something like that. because this is not work that can be seen in real life. So many people around me, especially people who still think more traditionally, find work in the crypto world quite strange. Moreover, because there are so many negative issues about cryptocurrency in my country, this makes opinions about crypto only get worse.

But yeah, let it be or we will do it. In essence, when we really understand crypto and continue to want to learn, in the end we can earn income from here. In addition, the results are quite good. and we don't need to prove it to them with the results we get. Let them themselves ultimately know and understand what we get here. and in the end most of the family began to understand even though they didn't really understand what the crypto world was like because of their limitations with the digital world.

It is not very surprising because young people are familiar with digital jobs. They know crypto is getting trending in the internet, they must be curious and try to be traders.

Sure, when we collect money from our family and we get losses, they will view crypto as a negative thing. But if we can succeed, they will view it as a positive thing. It is natural, people will judge negativity for something that bring bad results. That's why we must show to others that we can succeed with crypto.

never and will never get support to get into crypto, because my family is very unfamiliar with the name crypto, what they know is that everything is cheating related to crypto, from the beginning I got to know crypto until now I have always been ridiculed by my family for doing things that in vain and never results in losses that are always obtained,
but yeah never mind because this is my decision as long as I use my cold hard cash, I will continue to be in this crypto space until I get tired

never and will never get support to get into crypto,
What the H*** , are your seriously?
It doesn't make sense at all if this happens in my family's life.
This is not included in the category of my family, even if this happens, maybe I will be a girl with the nickname "Bookworm".
Very scary if I am in your family but this is life, surely everyone feels different things and this is seen in front of my eyes.

I am just an ordinary laborer and spend a little time to learn cryptocurrency and my family only gives a little suggestion because the digital world is different from the real world.
Maybe I am in a family who doesn't want to know about cryptocurrency but the most important thing is that this child can be comfortably to do work in the digital world, it is natural that parents are anxious for their children in various jobs. *pray*

Oh...it seems that I am the one that is different here. My family is a family that is opened to new innovation and they accept new opportunities as long as it is beneficial, and can bring profit. My family supports me in my crypto activities, and they are happy about it, even when it was still illegal but they will only tell my to keep it secret. I have involved two of my siblings into the crypto space because they were very eager to know how it works. My younger one was the one that knew crypto before me, but due to lack of knowledge, he invested in the wrong coin and lost heavily. The funny thing was that my parents supported him then with the money that he used to invest and he also told me to invest then but I was reluctant, because I was still in the university. After the loss, this was how they saw crypto as a scam. A friend of my after I graduated from the university introduced me to the crypto space and guided me on how to go about it. The moment that my family saw me having funds and I was taking care of some bills in the house, they asked me how cone the sudden change. I explained to them and they were fine with it.

I'm also trying to let them see that my income from the crypto market is not bad, even better than many others. However, there are many very complicated things about human psychology that I cannot understand, sometimes I just accept their unreasonable objections.

Even till now, non of my family members knows I am into crypto except my wife, and she doesnt even have a clear understanding of what crypto is.

Perhaps this is one of the effective ways to avoid negative reactions from family and relatives, so we can focus on work and earning income. I should have simply shared that I was working as a freelancer and I am translating some documents related to the weather or fashion accessories  ::)

When I first invested in Bitcoin I did not discuss it with my family but in the second step when I invested I convinced my family to pay for the investment by telling them all the positive aspects about the investment. I took money from family and invested all that money but I didn't let them down at all by investing but that investment gave me good amount of profit. It was not very difficult for me to convince my parents to invest because my family gave me the utmost importance whenever I said something and because of this importance I was able to convince my family.
