Result from last night's game:

1st game:
Ginebra -90
Meralco -71

2nd game:
SMB - 107
ROS -100

Still 1 out of 2 on my bet last night. I thought it would 2 out of 2 but the Beermen made a magnificent comeback from down by 19 points and rallied to be the Elastopainters and took the first seat of the Finals.

26Wins - 23Losses, my standing thus far

Anyone here have put a bet on the Mavs? What a game, that clutch 3 by Luka was amazing and it seems to me that this could be a potential sweep though the Wolves is a good road team but in this kind of a situation, they will be having a hard time defeating the Mavs on their homecourt.

Speaking of a rematch I think they will do it because of the massive PPV buys that this fight got. I have read an article (hope not fake news though) that the purse and PPV numbers have been split and Fury got a massive $145M while Usyk got $50M, that's a lot of money on both of them. I guess in the rematch, Usyk will get the larger piece of the pie this time around.

A rematch is almost guaranteed, unless one of them deliberately pulls out. They had a rematch clause in the contract, so I wouldn't be surprised if there were some penalties involved for pulling out. I believe it's tentatively scheduled for the beginning of October. And there will be a lot of interest, maybe even more than in the first fight, given how close it was and given Fury, in his trilogy against Wilder, proved that he performs better in rematches.

It's good to know that the rematch will be this October and yeah, i agree that Fury is good at rematches. Although i lost me bet on him on this fight but still i'm gonna be rooting for him again in the rematch which i thick he will be the underdog that time.

semis games for tonight:

1st game:
Ginebra Kings vs Meralco Bolts

2nd game:
ROS Elastopainters vs Ginebra Kings

My bets:
Ginebra -2.5 @1.91 vs Meralco - Hoping that the Kings' adjustments would be enough for them to even the series.
ROS ML @3.05 vs SMB - very risky bet but i'm on the idea that the Beermen can't sweep this series.

Yes, it's fair that in the rematch all the titles should be on the line. But we can see how powerful broker HE Turki Alalshkih, he was able to persuade Hrgovic and Dubois that their fight should be interim. And the IBF should not be kill joy though, I'm thinking that the organization can also be paid with handsome money to step aside their plans and let Hrgovic and Dubois be interim. Everyone is still at awe at Usyk's performance though, as I have said, he could surpassed Fury in this era as the best heavyweight if he can win in the rematch. And most likely Fury will still going to fight, but I guess his last one will be for all the British title, against Joshua.

SMB - 117
ROS - 107

2nd game:
Meralco - 87
Ginebra - 80

Still 1-1 on my bet last night, if not for those 5 points garbage basket by Terrence Romeo, my bet first game bet would have lost. Ginebra still has no answer on that defensive strategy of the Bolts.

25Wins - 22Losses, my standing thus far

Such a weird game also in game 1 of Wolves vs. Mavs with so many mistakes/turnovers on both sides. This is also the first time I've seen someone getting called for offensive goal tending.

Both Luka and ANT were having a bad night but Luka caught fire at the right moment.

How did your bet go? I lost mine.

Lost my bet too as I thought that the Wolves' frontline would pose problems for the Mavs but it didn't happen. Just fortunate for the Mavs that Irving caught fire early in the game and when Luka exploded, that's it for the Wolves. That game was 50-50, it's just that the breaks of the game favored the Dallas Mavericks.

Taylor vs Catterall:

This fight will be on the weekend guys and as we can see on the betting odds, it shifted from Taylor being the favorite, he is now the underdog of this fight. As I have stated on the other forum, I'm more inclined to back Catterall to win this fight via decision.

@Baofeng, what is your take on this fight mate?

Crypto Exchanges / Re: CEX vs DEX: The neverending discussion
« on: May 22, 2024, 09:28:47 AM »
When people ask the usual CEX vs DEX question and I pick CEX they often talk smack about my answer saying they will pick DEXs anytime cause they prefer having complete control over their assets. It's a very valid reason but the steady influx of events on CEXs is enough for me to pick CEX, call me a brokie but that's just what I need hahaha.

An example now is one deposit event on Bitget I just saw. I won't be saying much about it but it has a million dollars of trading bonuses and BTC as its reward. Why will I choose DEXs over CEXs in that case? Besides, I don't even have enough assets to be worried about hahaha. What do you guys think though, weighing what both offer which will you choose, CEXs or DEXs?

I agree on your opinion on picking CEX over DEX but both exchange have their own pros and cons but the pros on the CEX outweighs the cons as far as i'm concern. If we have limited crypto or shall we say not much then CEX is preferable but if you have millions worth of crypto then i think DEX is the better choice but one way or another we need CEX to convert our crypto into fiat, that is per my experience.

semis games for tonight:

1st game:
ROS Elastopainters vs SMB Beermen

2nd game:
Ginebra Kings vs Meralco Bolts

My bets:
SMB Beermen -6.5 @1.99 - No one from ROS could stop June Mar Fajardo in the middle so this might be a sweep for the Beermen.
Ginebra -3.5 @1.89 - I think the Kings would bounce back from their loss last Sunday.

It's good to see a new face to win the championship this year. Out of the four teams remaining, I think Tatum and the Celtics deserves it the most but I have no problem if Luka's Mavs gets it. Anyway, how do you plan on betting in game 1 of the EC Finals? Are you going to skip it to see how they will match up?

Betting for the Pacers +9.5 @2.01 as this game is like a getting to know each other game hehe so i think even if the Celtics win game 1 they will not cover the spread. But i would love to see the Pacers upset the Celtics in the East Finals as i have a bet on them @15.0, very juicy to think that the Celtics is a beatable team.

Looking at the odds now, +10.5 is still very attractive @1.84 so I'm taking this one. This is going to be a close one, usually the Celtics started slow in the first two games of the series. And so this first game, specially coming from a rest, might put them at a disadvantage. Plus the Pacer are high in momentum right now after that big win against the Knicks and it shows their character.

Congrats to us bro hehe, it was indeed a close and exciting game. The Pacers almost took that one if one for that costly error by the Pacers in the dying seconds which lead to a three point shot by Jalen Brown that tied the game and went into overtime. The game was also a high scoring one so congrats also to those who bet for the "over 230.5" before the started.

I would like to know if any of you have ever had this kind of feeling?

I'm not a casino type of guy but i can relate to your feelings on losing money and yeah it seems that when we are almost out of bankroll/capital we intend to increase our bet for chasing the losses but lose more in that manner. For me that is normal that we tend to lose our patience but this kind of behavior we need to improve or eliminate if we want to get back our losses.
