The government can do anything. They are strong and are often a threat to the crypto world. But we don't need to worry about that, generally some countries prohibit crypto trading for transactions only. They cannot accept crypto as payment. But they are not openly opposed, such as blocking sites or turning off crypto exchanges in their country.

What kind of destruction are we talking about here? As for complete shutdown of bitcoin in a country, no, it simply cannot happen. Legal trades and the likes might face these kind of bans but the overall usage of bitcoin in a country would still be operation since there isn't a central server or node that can issue a blacklist on all IP addresses belonging to a certain country. So yeah, you may not be able to send and receive money that came from bitcoin in a legal and allowed way however you can still do P2P trading if such a scenario ever happened to your country.

Some countries are boycotting bitcoins for the time being. I don't think they want to destroy bitcoins. Their boycott is just to suppress the development of bitcoin, because they worry that bitcoin will replace the functions of many industries, which will reduce their control of these industries. Like banking, there are many functions that can be replaced by encrypted currencies.

Government are trying to destroy bitcoin but they will not succeed because bitcoin is an independent entity. Lot of people are engage with it so its strong and stable and cannot be easily destroyed by anybody who wants to. I think government should support with bitcoin through taxing it to generate revenue for the development of a certain country and to the people as well. Government should see the good effect that bitcoin brought to the people who are engage with it because the lives of the many becomes better.

Governments can ban cryptocurrencies, because they're being pushed by financial institutions who are afraid bitcoin might take over. But the authorities realize the value of crypto and blockchain, so they may be not that keen on eliminating this new technology. They will regulate and tax cryptocurrencies, but they will not deliberately destroy bitcoin.

They are all stored in distributed ledgers called blockchains. Each blockchain has its own digital token. In the case of Bitcoin, it is the Bitcoin token. Other examples are Ethereum, Litecoin, Monero, Dash, Zcash, etc. Each digital coin has its properties and functions. This tutorial will focus on Bitcoin but could be used for any other cryptocurrency.

It can't be like that. Basically Bitcoin cannot be controlled by anyone including the Government in a country. because Bitcoin is decentralized and cannot be controlled by the state, groups of people or individuals. I don't think we need to be afraid of any government threats that corner us, because indeed they cannot touch us in Bitcoin.

no need to wishful thinking.

They say that Kobayashi is so bad that the price was brought down selling hacks from gox, and right there it turns out there is some wild shortage of cue ball on the OTC market.

However, the logic is simple, if the cue ball does not buy the price drops, and then you can buy cheaper. And this process is not a quick one, wait for this moment, when people will sell cheaper. What is there to accelerate?

I really want to see a tuzemun that I don't want to take off my pink glasses.

The government can only destroy what it has control over.
If you ask can government destroy banks, my answer would be yes.
This is because, government has full control of banks , banks are also centralized institutions.
So basically, one wrong policy from the government of the day is capable of destroying banks.

When it comes to Bitcoin, government is not capable of destroying Bitcoin because it's structure is decentralized .
Governments dont have control over Bitcoin

The banning of bitcoin in some countries is possible, because it is within the country in question, and this has no effect to stopping the use of bitcoin in general. In most countries, there might be bitcoin ban, but still used by the citizens, which means, only those who uses it directly for purchasing goods are prohibited from the use of bitcoin. When it comes to stopping the use of bitcoin, I don't think that can happen at all.

Some bitcoin proponents have argued that governments cannot really prevent bitcoin use. Jon Matonis once stated that “a government ban on bitcoin would be about as effective as alcohol prohibition was in the 1920s.” How could a government prevent people from using bitcoin? It’s online. It’s pseudonymous.

I don't think that the government can destroy the cryptocurrencies. Some ways that may be available for them are:
- Bann and not legalize the crypto in their country
- making more negative issues in the media of the crypto so that it will influence the investors.

from those ways, however, i don't think that it will destroy the crypto. It will only just decrease the involvement, but not destroying hopefully.

That's correct there is no government that has the power to destroy Bitcoin and the only thing that they can do
is to ban Bitcoin usage and trade on their country and prevent their citizens from using this coin. But even if
they do this kind of method there will still be countries that will accept and legalize Bitcoin just like Japan.

We all say that Bitcoin is decentralized in nature which means that no government is able to control the transactions made through Bitcoin but according to me government can destroy bitcoin. If governments of all countries declared it as illegal in their respective countries then we will have no way to use Bitcoin.I mean we will be able to work with Bitcoin but as we all know Bitcoin has no physical form ,we have to convert it in our respective currencies to use it.If government will ban it then we will have no way to convert it in our particular currencies. So we will not be able to use it.Due to this people will slowly stop using it and Bitcoin will come to it's end.But I don't think this will happen because governments are intelligent enough to understand it's potential and they know that Bitcoin can be an asset to their economy so they will not ban it.

Even in the countries where bitcoin is banned, a lot of their citizens are still involved in bitcoin. We should decide on what do we mean by saying "destroy". I think that the biggest harm that any government can bring to local Bitcoin users is to criminalize any Bitcoin-related activity and punish these "crimes" with serious punishments (several years of prison, and so on). Such a policy can lead to the abandonment of the Bitcoin network by most of the people although some risky users will keep on using Bitcoin regardless of the law.

Summarizing I would say that in any country there will be some people using Bitcoin, and the government cannot "destroy" or control Bitcoin totally although authorities can damage the local Bitcoin community significantly.

Although the governments have influence on the market because the people listen to the government, the governments cannot destroy Bitcoin entirely. Bitcoin is decentralized and this means that no central authoritative body has absolute control over it's transactions and other related activities. Bitcoin can only be destroyed by its users when all users decide to stop using it, which is apparently not going to happen.

The government will not be able to completely stop Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency, even if it issues an order to completely ban it, but then it will not be able to legally walk in the country and develop. Therefore, it would be better if there are no such prohibitions.
Now the situation with the legalization of cryptocurrency and the attitude of the majority of states towards it is not bad and we hope that there will be no great difficulties in these matters.

The government has complete power over the rules, and to destroy Bitcoin is of course possible if it will. Bitcoin can grow because of trading activity on Cryptocurrency exchanges, which is the first thing that must be stopped by the government. If there is no trading activity at all, Bitcoin will die.  But sadly, that won't happen!

Therefore, for cryptocurrency, it is not the decision of one government that is dangerous, but the general decision to ban cryptocurrency, for example, at the summit of the G20 countries.  So far, such international bodies do not see the existence of cryptocurrency as a threat to the stability of the global financial system.  The role of cryptocurrency in the financial sector is not yet that big.  Apparently, given the massive release by states of their digitized central bank currencies, there is no threat of its existence for a decentralized cryptocurrency.  Let's hope that cryptocurrency and regular currency in digital or physical form will exist together and complement each other's capabilities.

No Government can't destroy Bitcoin as Bitcoin is a decentralized P2P payment system. Here government has no control over its transaction, mining, processing etc. Government only can impose ban rules on the people of that country so that they don't use Bitcoin. More and more Government of the countries will come forward to legalize and utilize the maximum benefits of Bitcoin.

We know that that bitcoin as well as crypto currency is decentralized. Government doesn't know who are the holders of bitcoin. Who transect bitcoin. Government can assume but it can not be possible to find out. If any one use bitcoin in restricted area how can be identified? So normally we know that there is action will be taken from government to use bitcoin. so i think government can destroy bitcoin.

Most countries do not approve bitcoin transactions. However, there are some countries that have already approved bitcoin transactions. However, I think that those countries that have not approved bitcoin are many times behind in technology. Bitcoin is not waiting for the approval of any country. Bitcoin will not deteriorate whether the government of any country is in favor of Bitcoin or not. However, if the government of a country approves bitcoin, transactions inside the country will increase and transactions will be easier. In more commercial cases, the use of Bitcoin will increase many times over. But the country's economy will also improve. So I think every country needs to approve bitcoin. The country should be allowed to move towards development.

Bitcoin is not allowed in every country of the world. However, the economic situation in the country where Bitcoin has been approved is much simpler. This is because Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies have a role to play in keeping the economy afloat. Cryptocurrency is considered as the second source of income in the world. precisely if there is corruption the government should ban crypto because it is prone to be used for money laundering, because it will be difficult to trace it. so it is not a settlement with crypto, corruption will be stopped, but instead it is encouraged by compulsory transactions through banks, so that corruption can be discovered.

Bitcoin is decentralized in nature. There is no regulatory authority to regulate Bitcoin so far. No government can control over it's trade, transaction, use. Only govt. can impose rules on use and trade of Bitcoin. That's why in many countries, it is still illegal to use but they can't destroy Bitcoin. It is still dominator of virtual currencies. There are many obstacles of using Bitcoin in many parts of the world but popularity, demand and price is on the rise if you compare in the last 5 years.

I don't think it will happen, there are indeed some countries that prohibit bitcoin, but destroying a botcoin is very difficult, it won't even happen, because there are still many people and countries that accept bitcoin.

Rules or regulations made by men. Until now there no such gadget which can control you to stop using bitcoin. Decentralized things is kinda tough to recognize those activities as anonymous group behind the scene. Govt. only can regulate, impose ban to discourage use do nothing more.

Its more or less impossible for government in any country to destroy bitcoin because its not regulated by the government of any country its a technology base currency which is not paper money so its difficult by the government.

In fact, we see that Bitcoin is not legal in the country but the use of Bitcoin is completely banned by the government.  So if anyone finds anyone who is constantly using Bitcoin, the government agency will file a case against them.  Even then, it can be seen that many people are secretly using Bitcoin.  So I think the government of any country will never be able to finish Bitcoin.

No country government can destroy Bitcoin. Bitcoin has become a very popular currency around the world. The government of any country cannot suppress bitcoin if it wants to. But governments can come to a conclusion. They can plan how to tax Bitcoin.

The government cannot destroy Bitcoin so they will create a way to take advantage the opportunity to use their power over Bitcoin users. Tax is the absolute way to enter Bitcoin world in a friendly approach. If course Bitcoin users will follow the law given by the government for better result and good partnership.

We know that Bitcoin is legalized in only a few countries, but the government has not yet legalized Bitcoin in all other countries.  Even then, it is seen that Bitcoin is being used in many countries despite the fact that Bitcoin is not legal.  Then I think digital currency is definitely needed to develop a country.  In fact, I believe that no one will ever be able to finish Bitcoin.

Bitcoin prices have risen sharply due to the government's support for Bitcoin. Another reason for the rise in Bitcoin prices is the change of government.  Recorded the highest this time.

In my opinion, the government cannot destroy bitcoin as long as no global agreement to ban bitcoin around the world. Not all countries ban the bitcoin, some of them accept it very well. It indicates the bitcoin supported by several countries in the world.

It is right. I believe with this perspective also. Government can't destroy the World of crypto especially  a lots of Government officials is involve in CRYPTOCURRENCY

I think the governments of the countries are not against Bitcoin and they also see many advantages in using it, only now it is necessary to do it in such a way that it does not harm the government! Bitcoin will be accepted as a payment currency in many countries very soon!

Nothing can be done with Bitcoin. If the government starts buying it for itself. Then the price of Bitcoin will rise. If you sell it, then ordinary people will buy it cheap. Most investors have faith in Bitcoin because no one can control It. Only free market relations.

Now some states are raising the issue of cryptocurrency regulation at the next G7 summit.  At the same time, it is proposed to prohibit citizens from having cryptocurrency wallets.  In fact, this will mean the prohibition of cryptocurrency.  This topic is discussed on the bitcoinstalks forum.  If this happens, which I doubt, then we can really see if states can destroy bitcoin.
