The possiblity of watching my portfolio turn red always and not only turn red But slowly melt to 100 digits. from thousands of dollars to hundred and possibly to 10 because of a mistake of investing in a scam project i though may be fruitful. What do you fear the most about crypto?
IMHO, Base on my previous experiences as a cryptocurrency enthusiast from 2015 up to now? My fear is always about SCAMS and FRAUDS because I am one of the victims of these wrongdoings. I was scammed three times in ICO way back in 2018. thats why I mean because I personally experience it. But in the case of losing the value of a particular cryptocurrency, I believe it can be minimized if you are already aware that it can happen anytime. While in trading I'm usually experiencing losses, but it's just a normal part of the game. And it's not a problem for me because I can recover it in the next sessions. But of course, if you are exerting some effort to achieve it.

So that's why I feel it's very important for us to learn more about investing in crypto. So that we can at least avoid things that we don't want. And it is important for us to be able to choose good and potential projects. therefore must be more careful.

Crashing the price for me is not fearful or scary. Because most fears are those scammers who won't stop scamming others
and the hackers, these two bad guys must disappear here in this industry, though it's not possible that's the reality!
Therefore, dumping the price is not the fear the most in cryptocurrency because it can pump again at any time for sure.

Fraud makes a lot of people suffer, which I find annoying seeing lots of new coins and being abandoned by project developers, there is no other choice but to let junk coins remain in my wallet, because it's useless to have coins but they are worthless and not there is trading volume, even on the DEX exchange.

That can be the same fear that many of us here might have and can experience when exposed to a project not really worth dealing with. Sadly, this recently happened to me and I lost a big chunk of my funds because the project was accused of running a ponzi scam. I blamed myself for it because I am already aware of such a scheme even before as many companies using the same almost strategy are now dead. I could not believe that after some years in cryptocurrency I can still be a victim of this but at the end of the day it was my decision, so I need to suffer from the consequences.

I got you mate! same feeling here. I got loss my funds sometimes in 2018 when I rush to buy some coins in hope that I could have a triple returns but unfortunately since then I don't get instead I continue losing my money everytime market turns into red. I have bought some coins because I think it would give me what I need but the expectation turns into disaster when everything went down, until now I feel empty and still battling to recover even just my capital. I hope in 2021 i can get what I wanted to be.

You are not the only One it seems a bit of luck some research and bit of gut feeling does the jobMy fear is all about losing my money especially if my capital is from my salary loan, that's why I'm very careful about investing.
If I would have invested at 80 $ /132 $ in ETH I would still be afraid for my loan but would be rather confident.
I like to invest in the new project because can provides fast profits, my fear maybe if the project turns into a scam. That's why in the investment we should invest only using side funds

In that time when market was very highly profitable people started to come to crypto and invest in projects. Many people of that time got scammed by this types of projects. I couldn't invest because i didn't have any money to invest that time.

Actually you don't need to trade if you fail frequently and have lost a lot of money.

I am scared about it too. On 2019 I was invested all of my portfolio on YANU project. But till now on their group they doesn't have any movement. It was a AI robot related project. Even I have contacted their ceo for giving my money back but they didn't. So for me it was the last time to invest on a project. Form then I never believed on a single project, don't want to carry that loss again. :(

People are more educated now so I think it's not very hard to identify a scam or low-quality project. But the truth is right now scam projects are giving higher profit by market manipulation. So you can do small trade to earn some extra profit but holding a scam project for a long time is not a smart idea.

I agree with you. Sometimes it is really hard to know the project if scam. There are project that obviously scam base on there platform and copy pasted details from other projects. The problem is the scam project hiding behind the looks potential and legit information. It is very difficult to know them until they collected money and finally leave the project. That's the most embarrassing moment being a hunter or investors who put some efforts and money to support the project success. But the result is unfortunate. Very disappointing.

Same thing happens to me in this year. I was opened a future trade on YFI with 800 dollar. And for some uncertain reason my position got liquidated. May be because of manipulation, it was a long red candle and I have lost everything. But we have to accept it, some day you can earn huge and some days you will loose huge.

I have the same fear the only way we can combat this fear is to have and develop an insight into the coins that we are holding and what directions they are going, so we'll know in advance when to sell and when to hodl more, timing is crucial when you are investing here in Cryptocurrency because of the very high volatility.

My biggest fear would be invested in a scam project. Sometimes we make bad decisions even we have done enough research not to. I think it's normal but I do not want to lose a lot of my money on these. But we can not change our luck so we can try and hope this would never happen.

I also have this same fear of seeing a token/coin I'm holding deminish in terms of value, It's really painful, and the worst part is that you will just continue holding onto to it hoping the value of the coin will pump back up to a price that is more reasonable, this is the main reason why I also exchange my coins to a stable coin like usdt to avoid them loosing their value.
