As soon as you enter the twitter account then you can see hundreds of airdrop posts in front of you where there are promises to give many tokens for free. Do you think all these airdrops are true? I think all are false and from here there will be possibility of hacking to connect your personal wallet. So be careful and avoid fake/false airdrop.

It is not only in Twitter, but also in other social media apps. The social media is a free space where scammers can post any kind of lies and fake promises that can lead plebs to being fooled and wasting their time to even join in promoting those shit. Lol.
For example, if you join the X-App, you can see a tweet where you are asked to like and share the tweet to different people, and that you will earn by doing those activities. If you agree to join such an airdrop, you have become part of a scam-project Promoter, and because you were asked to do the activity so that you will get paid, you will definitely say a lot of convincing words, but to make sure you convince the reader. That's why most of those Scam-Airdrops spread fast.

Twitter is one of the best communities for crypto currency as there is a lot of crypto engagement, both promotions of all kinds of crypto, NFT sales, etc., so it is a major space for scammers, especially now that one can buy a blue badge on Twitter for just a few dollars.
The last time I browsed through Twitter, which is now known as X, more than half of the airdrops and crypto promotions that I saw were all scams. Some are some means of tweeting and retweeting to earn free tokens, but at the end of the day, no one will be given any free tokens. Why are some just some clone sites from the original project sites that they will want to use to lure victims to their site? Those who ever fall into their trap will get their funds confiscated. I don't trust any single airdrop from X, and I'm also not a fan of Airdrop, by the way.

Social media is the home of sharing and spreading information to reach out to millions of people, whether the information being shared is false or true.
The hundreds of posts of airdrops that you see on Twitter are also done on other social media like Facebook.
One thing you should know is that all these posts about airdrops are mostly for promotional and awareness campaigns to let people know about crypto projects. It is quite normal to see that all the time because social media is the avenue for crypto projects to reach out to a good number of investors.
The free airdrop to receive is if you did their simple task of retweeting and tagging friends. However, your involvement with airdrops shouldn't be done with your main ETH address that has tokens in it but a separate address that has no tokens, because of a hack connecting your wallet to claim their token.

Yes, many of them are shitcoins or scams. If choose the wrong ones, they may harm our existing coins in the wallets.
I agree that we never believe easily about the airdrops or free coins. Moreover, if is stated to give good amount of money. No one in the world to give us for free, there should be a realistic reason to earn money. Those fake airdrop is a too sweet way to earn money with less efforts.
-
I have seen some airdrops on Twitter, Telegram, Reddit, Facebook, and Discord, but I don't trust all of them. In fairness, even so, I think that there are many communities on the said social media platforms that are still participating, even if they don't know anything.
Especially on Twitter, Facebook, and Telegram, there are a lot of scammers, so do your due diligence and be careful about the airdrops you enter.
-
From my experience, Twitter sucks in general when it comes to filtering out scams. I've seen at least three different airdrops from fake accounts. The airdrop itself is real, just not from the fake MetaMask or Pancakeswap impersonator accounts. If you want to search or find out about airdrop information, you better start by following some airdrop aggregators' accounts on Twitter and then see the recommendations for who to follow next. It works better compared to using the search/trending option as far as my experience goes. Don't forget to double check on the official website or social media you search from search engines to avoid being redirected to a fake website.
-
In this day and age, so-called social media has become a hub for spreading fake news. Do you agree with me?
-
They all are not fakes, only those who are spreading the bad wrong news in the market in a wrong way, we just need to see their profile and old tweets about projects whatever old shared project link is, we should not connect it to our wallet first. we should only join groups that are trusted and verified and we have been working with them for many years their previous tweets. Aso we should see how many people have followed it and how many people are get benefit from this?
The good things to save our self from the fake twitter account kindly investigate deeply. do not connect your wallets without investigating the twitter accounts because in these situations many people are getting involved in this case.

Yes, most of them are fake giveaways and they will usually DM you that you win $5000 worth of a coin but you have to connect your wallet and even some are asking your private keys...in other words most are just scams and frauds looking for somebody to victimize most especially newbies who might not yet been educated on how scams in social media can be working. There are also those who are faking giveaways to increase their following and nothing more, they are not giving away anything yet they keep on posting the same message. Good thing that am not anymore a newcomer to the scene and having been a victim of many scams before I already know how these evil people are working and sometimes they even use the same script in their messages. We have to careful as they are so abundant in X and actually in any social media platforms where people can be found. I believe that there should be an orientation on how to avoid scams in social media...and it should be sponsored and supported by the platform itself.
-
There are legitimate projects that advertises their airdrops in social media applications but the fakes do that as well. You just have to do the extra work in screening them if you have the time. Ignoring all airdrops asking you to fill a form or other similar shit will probably save you from getting scammed.

I don't think. I am 100% sure that all those airdrops shared in twitter are fake. unless that is shared by someone I know from somwhere else.. Scam Airdrop posts rapidly incrased after twitter started selling verify badge.
It is like a heaven for scammers now to pay couple bucks and get a verify badge and start sharing fake airddrops. sadly so many people fall for them becasuee of their verify badges.
Do you notice most of them also turned off their comments? because they don't want people to comment on their posts and try to warn their people.

Agree, social networks are complicated place, we cannot easily determine what is the truth to trust, especially in the financial sector.
There are many good and potential airdrops, but they need to be promoted by the project itself or leading airdrop service providers. I will never trust an airdrop notification from a personal account on Twitter, Facebook, Youtube...
Always be vigilant and double check every piece of information we receive, especially directly related to our money and accounts. Another key tip is: store most crypto assets in a separate account (address) and never connect to Dapps, and create another account (address) to participate in the airdrop 👍

That's right, I really agree with what you said. Participating in airdrops requires being more careful and, as much as possible, being as vigilant as possible, because currently, to participate in airdrops, you usually have to connect your wallet to a site, and you don't have to fill out forms anymore; you just connect your personal wallet to the site. Those who cannot be trusted are also very risky because they can drain all the assets you have. From this, it can be said that when participating in airdrops, you must remain alert.

I'm not airdrop fan, So I don't know which airdrop are true or scam. I have participated in airdrop but didn't get anything. It's waste of time and really annoyed.
I see several friends get big rewards but I didn't interest to join. Better to participate in signature bounty campaign, paid BTC weekly.

How come you are not interested when there are living proofs that airdrop made a ton of money, from your friend nonetheless? I do agree that finding a worthy airdrop is a difficult task though, especially nowadays. If you don't have a big capital then it feels like trying to win the lottery with no return whatsoever. Twitter being so terrible at filtering fake accounts doesn't help either. A signature campaign is definitely one of the best choices if you want a more reliable way to get some crypto, but keep in mind that it might stop whenever you least expect it to.
-
You know there are still people in the cryptocurrency community who still believe in airdrops. I also believe that there are still some that are legit; it's just that they're hard to find; you have to do your research.
But I saw something that I think you can get or find legit airdrops in the link I'll give you. In case you do some research, I just suggest that you just create a new wallet on Metamask, not your account, the one you use for airdrops, to be safe. This is the link: https://airdrops.io/

Out of 100% of coins that get airdrop and makes plenty of return for people are mostly the ones that doesn't get announced. Look at Jupiter for example, it was when they listed the coin I get to know about the coin and if you check most of these Airdrop platforms, many of them didn't posted about it when it was launched in November.
What I'm trying to say that airdrop are pure luck, if there is 10 of them and you were task to engage in the testnet, only few of them later airdrop because the team don't instruct people, they just guess and help boost the network activity just to be compensated for their time and if the team want to appreciate them, then they give airdrop. This is why Sui didn't give them Airdrop and they were angry at the team.
-

not all of them give gifts, they just use it as a trick to get more followers rather than actually giving the gifts they promise, but we can actually see who is a real person giving gifts or just cheating is a verified account that has a yellow check mark. , not blue
and you also have to look at the profile, sometimes the airdrop giver's account will include the community and website to be used as a reference for investors.

I see hundreds of airdrop links from twitter but I never join any airdrop because most of these airdrops are scams. Many times it has been seen that asking to connect these Airdrop wallets can lead to unwanted wallet hacks. So no one will join after seeing all these Twitter campaigns without doing research because in this case you must face the risk by connecting the wallet.

There is a possibility of a bull run soon based on the upcoming halving which many are trying to capitalise to collect money from the market. All the legit projects out there definitely offer different types of giveaways and different types of airdrops. But here we must understand that not all projects are legitimate. As soon as social media opens up, those who invest in it will surely take a big risk as soon as they get attractive offers of various types of projects.
It should be noted that out of the number of projects that exist today, a small number of projects may be successful, but most of them will only be scams. Moreover, the emergence of not only airdrop projects but also some mining apps has increased so much that it is irritable. While the old ones are aware of their safety issues, the new comers are in this space likely to be in great danger at any time.

Not all airdrops that come from Twitter come from scammers, if we are good at doing research, we can actually get lots of legit airdrops from Twitter.
Because on average large cryptocurrency projects have Twitter social media accounts, and they always announce airdrop events on Twitter.

I agree but it would take hours to do research for me, if you sure the airdrops are safe like they didn't ask for KYC or without connecting these airdrops to your metamask wallet for me they are safe to claim and make sure it's not a phishing site.
Mine I keep claiming free tokens and airdrops because last 2021 I sold some tokens that I got from Airdrops imagine you get it for free and sell it when the price is high. Its free money why would you ignore just make sure it is not phishing and it shouldn't ask for IDs.

I am partially agree with you. I also think it has huge possibility to hucked our wallet but it also true that many good airdrop advertising on twitter/x. I am working on Airdrop from 2/3 months. I am seeing most of the airdrop advertise on twitter/x. Many good airdrop and some scam airdrop we are seeing. I think twitter/x is a social media platform it is not bad but some scammer using it for scamming. And they hucking our wallet amd our valuable Information. So if we want to do airdrop we need more justify and then involve here.
-
X (Twitter) is the biggest pit of scammers that we can find on the clearnet. As much as Musk says he has cleaned Twitter of scammers, account impersonations, phishing, etc., he really hasn't. We can still see fake accounts spamming thousands of posts every day. Fake accounts are easily sold to scam people. What I can't understand is why people continue using that social network... I understand that it is a good site to promote brands or products, but the constant bombardment of spam is incredible. Before participating in an airdrop that I have seen on Twitter, I will go to the official website of the project to be 100% sure that it is not a scam.
-
No at all,99 of 100 airdrops are money takers from interested people like you and me that wants to join for further long term or short and get money in nice way taken from. Twitter usually works for promotions like such as do campaigns from this forum or else.

Of course, some airdrops come from real developers or teams of the projects. But it is not very often to see worth airdrops, many of them are just random airdrops. I think every one must do a research before joining any airdrop. Sadly, the research sometimes can't guarantee to avoid scammers or worthless projects.
Yes, we watch out twitter channels of the projects. It is the right place to get the information.

Are you an airdrop hunter? If yes, then usually airdrop hunters will do all airdrops regardless of whether they will be successful or not.
but if not, then we must be better able to choose and pick airdrops that we will participate in. If it comes from social media, this actually happens very often when we see a lot of information about airdrops from social media, whether it is hype or not.
But what is certain, in my opinion, is that there are several things that need to be avoided regarding airdrops from any source:
- Provide privacy data such as key, password, private key, PIN, password and others to certain platforms.
- Sending funds at first to certain platforms which are not reputable.
- KYC process with our official ID photo.
- Install suspicious applications
So, in fact, we are citizens who have to be alert to all types of fraud that exist. So that we can better sort out the safe ones that are worth following and the safe ones that we can ignore.

I also saw the people who keep talking about airdrops. They are confident about some airdrops that can give good amount of money. I also heard that some people succeed get money form some previous airdrops. Well, it is okay to try joining airdrops as long as we do the research, we must choose very potential projects that provide airdrops.
I don't follow specific channel about airdrop. I don't have the idea about how to find legit airdrop. I think we can find out ourselves by doing research.

From January to this month, it seems like the airdrop moment is very important because I saw several large airdrop groups that managed to get a lot of profit from the airdrop because the projects they participated in were successful, so the airdrop participants made a lot of profit. Talking about airdrops, then it depends relatively It is human desire itself; if you want to earn extra money, then you can contribute, and there is no pressure to contribute.

If airdrops via Twitter are sometimes very dangerous, especially when asked to connect a wallet to an airdrop site which can endanger all the assets in the wallet, I prefer to look for airdrop information distributed through several large airdrop groups such as airdrop finder and other.

You're right, airdop from twitter is really dangerous if connect to wallet. Be careful to join it. I think bounty campaign in safer than join airdrop. Several I joined in airdrop , it's worthless.
Unfortunately I didn't have twitter account that have big followers.

Twitter Airdrop /twitter sign-up required/required to connect with Trust wallet, MetaMask/required some small amounts of Fees with Eth and BNB.
The above conditions are required for all Twitter Airdrops, so connecting a wallet is definitely risky. Therefore, before joining these Airdrops, you must join with your own credentials because no one will be responsible for any reason if the wallet is hacked. So you should not connect wallet for few dollars with so many ricks.

We should have new wallet, no asset there. If we want to join airdrop and connect the wallet. Create new wallet maybe .metamask, trust wallet or other. always keep your asset in personal wallet. many people prefer participate in retrodrop now, than join airdrop from twitter media. Honestly join airdrop is waste of time, if we do many task and doesn't gain anything.

Some of them doesn't even require you to connect wallet again, once you tap on the link to the airdrop, it could take you to a page where you will be asked to fill some information which will also require you to add you email and once you do that, get ready to receiving different phishing mail alart. Sometimes too, after you participate in the airdrop, you will receive a fake coin deposited to your wallet and if you try to swap the coin on their DEX, they will gain access to your wallet.

Yeah, they will send pishing or maybe fake coin. We must be careful if want to join airdrop. If we're careless, they will take our assets in our wallet which they can access. I never used old wallet, I agree with opinion above, we should use new wallet which no asset in

Up until now, it's been really tough to find reliable info on airdrops. I don't have a circle that can give me valid insights on which airdrops might make a lot of money. So, folks like me are left relying on luck, spreading seeds in various places, hoping that one of them will yield big results.
Whether it's Twitter or any social media platform, I haven't been able to easily trust airdrops... So, that's what keeps me from getting my hopes up about every airdrop out there

Almost all airdrop information comes from Twitter because the official announcement comes from there and continues to be spread by influencers but you just need to verify which airdrops are legitimate because not all airdrops are misused to spread phishing.
So what do I know about airdrops.
1. Telegram is a local community that shares airdrops
2. Before joining to make sure to look at the project profile whether it is official or not holding an airdrop.
3. Discord there is an airdrop place but on average it must join Discord.
-
I think the content see on any social platform comes from your browsing and the people you follow. That's how those algorithms work. Now back to the topic. Not all of them are scams. Few if not some could be legit. I once joined an airdrop through the medium website in which I made $600+. But that was a long time ago. Not sure what's the condition of the market right now.
Better to use a new wallet if you really want to join. It is hard to tell the difference.
-
When we are following and running airdrops, there is one thing we need to understand, don't expect much from the airdrops, because most of the airdrops are shit. However, there are some airdrops that provide very extraordinary results, even making other people jealous who don't follow suit. It's like getting a jackpot like that.
The problem is not only what type of airdrop it is, who posted it, or how big it is likely to be. but apparently if the airdrops are posted on Twitter and various other social media, and many people respond, then it becomes hype, then this could be one of the things that makes the coin hype and ultimately the results of the airdrops from the project can be quite valuable. However, as we know, airdrops from Twitter or other platforms cannot be guaranteed to always be worth it. So it also depends on how the team makes this project hype and gets exposure and gets lots of investors

If they ask to connect the wallet or send some coins (for the fees) before they send the rewards, we can suspect them as scams. Many airdrop in twitters are random airdrops, they are very difficult to trust. It is better to join the airdrops in the forum that are following by many members. Or join the airdrops from top crypto projects, it is also a bit safe to join. Sure, mostly they have large communities.

As soon as we open Twitter(X) account, we see various airdrop campaign links, many of them are fake/not fake, because when we do airdrop campaign, we have to log into that campaign's Twitter account with Twitter(X) account and share the pin post whenever people pin. This kind of message may go to everyone's account immediately after sharing the post. Still for more verification you can check their website their own Telegram and their own Twitter (X) account to prove the authenticity of AirDop campaign.
-
Don't believe a Twitter account disguised as the official account of a hype crypto project.
All of these are scams and they are usually found in the comments of official accounts that provide announcements related to airdrops or other important information.
They will usually redirect victims to Dapps website links that require connecting wallets and it will be very dangerous,
and your wallet could be drained so that they can control it with bots.
To see how the real official account is, see the username and visit the official website.
Don't believe in bonuses and promises of getting a big airdrop or anything.
-
As far as I know, the airdrop did not only come from social media Twitter because there are many other social media platforms such as Telegram channels, Discord, Galxe etc.
And maybe the OP chose the example of Twitter because social media Twitter has a lot of strong influence in creating airdrops because Twitter is owned by a famous person, namely Elon Musk.
It is highly not recommended if there is airdrop information from Twitter to connect the wallet because it is very dangerous.
Many people experienced hacks after participating in the Airdrop on Twitter and ended up having their wallets containing native coins simply lost and stolen.
-
Usually all airdrop joined come from twitter media and sharing trough telegram channel in my local community, but not all airdrop sharing from twitter worth or get paid after doing all airdrop task.
Actually airdrop is not only from twitter media social but also from telegram channel, medium and right now have many airdrop publishing trough Discrod channel.
Have to make all task if want receiving airdrop coins from connected twitter account, follow the airdrop social media until many task have to complete if want get reward from airdrop.

Many projects post announcements there, this is normal. Is it possible to run into phishing there? Of course you can if you mindlessly poke at everything and connect to everything you need and don’t need. You just need to be careful and check the information from the post in other sources.
-
Majority of airdrops on the X social media are fake, if there are like 100% airdrops on X, 80% or more is scam and only 20% is real. There is a website which I usually search for airdrops and I think it is more legit to give good airdrops than X. If you want to get a legit airdrops from X, only engage in airdrops that are offered by some centralized exchange.
Most of the time, some centralized exchange usually organizes an airdrop for any project that wants to list their coin in their exchange. It's only that kind of airdrop I would prefer to join.

And they also made this mistake so they lost the coins they had, most importantly losing their native coins such as ETH, BNB, Solana.
These mistakes are forgetting and rushing.
Forgot = it could be that those who took part in this airdrop forgot to use their main wallet so they immediately connected to Twitter, Galxe, etc.
Hurry up = these airdroppers feel like they are being chased for airtime because they have to complete the task in a hurry for fear of being finished by the other participants and usually there is a time limit.
I only pay attention to various airdrop channels and I don't have experience with airdrops, maybe those who have airdrop experience will definitely make more profits than I thought.

High paying airdrops and bounties focuses on X or formerly Twitter as it has one of the huge crypto community among social media platforms. But you can see ton loads or it literally is infested of scammy projects advertised over there.

However, currently, Twitter or X security has been improved and is very strict. Many people participate in several bounties or airdrops; this will cause this social media account to be temporarily suspended. Until now, perhaps Twitter's goal in implementing this policy was to make Twitter users wiser. So when you want to contribute to Airdorp or other businesses that require Twitter, it is better to use a second account so that the main account is not at risk.

I think what you're saying about Twitter (X) being better and stricter now could lead to a very long debate. It is one thing what Musk says to promote his platform, and another very different thing is that what Musk says is 100% true. It is true that spam has decreased, that is undeniable, but there is still a lot of spam and account impersonations and other things, and I'm not referring to the fake news that floods X, although it is also something that influences.
X has always been an ocean of scams without control or with very slight moderation, but it seems that the company is more focused on generating income than on having a safe and attractive product.
-
Of course %99 of them are either fake or scam. I mean could it really be possible to think otherwise? We are talking about just a few hundred dollars to start any type of token you want, including marketing like that. Of course its not going to be easy, and of course its going to take time, but we are not going to really see it change all that much. We should consider this as an issue as well but at this point we are just too used to it. There isn't really anything we can do to stop them neither, so they are going to just keep doing it, and will try to scam some people who will fall for them.
-
Many projects post announcements there, this is normal. Is it possible to run into phishing there? Of course you can if you mindlessly poke at everything and connect to everything you need and don’t need. You just need to be careful and check the information from the post in other sources.
Indeed. There are many crypto projects in Twitter, no one can control the number of projects there. The chance of scams will be higher when we have many projects. That's why we must be more careful to choose the projects. Check everything related to the projects, just forget the projects if there is something unconvincing with the projects.

X has been the social network of crypto for a long time. Many scam projects have appeared and attacked users' ignorance. I think it's very difficult for X to control everything, and I don't expect X to ban crypto content!
The quality of the airdrop depends on the project and not on the platform where it is advertised. Users and airdrop hunters need to evaluate the project carefully before spending time and effort participating. Currently there are many teams and KOLs on X sharing analysis and instructions for participating in potential airdrops, airdrop hunters should follow them to avoid being scammed :)

Good suggestion, I think we should have research before invest in the project.. Especially new projects or participate in airdrop from twitter media / X. Many scams in new projects, although it's just airdrops but waste of time if we participate and gain nothing. It's really annoying.

You can find airdrops on X, other social media platforms and also on crypto forums, it does not matter where you saw the airdrop, but it is recommended that you don't waste your time on them. The worst kind of airdrops are the ones that require personal info from their participants through kyc, i don't think it is smart to lose your personal information for useless tokens or no tokens at all.
-
As soon as you enter the twitter account then you can see hundreds of airdrop posts in front of you where there are promises to give many tokens for free. Do you think all these airdrops are true? I think all are false and from here there will be possibility of hacking to connect your personal wallet. So be careful and avoid fake/false airdrop.
Yes, I agree with you. Many of these suspicious messages on Twitter can be false and represent an attempt at fraud or hacking. Where there is a lot of money, fraudulent schemes abound. Lately, I've noticed that this has become very common on Twitter. It's better not to respond to messages from people you don't know and not to click on any links.

Airdrop are not just found only on Twitter they are found also in places like discord which member have to refer 20 people daily to receive a token most of them just want you to refer people at the end you get nothing out of it, because referring a set number of people each day and you are on able to finish up the other week you end up not being among top 10 of people listed , you see some are just lies mostly some on Twitter.

It is common on X and also other social media platforms, there are a lot of scammers with different methods of operation on Telegram, Discord and even on Youtube. Clicking on random links and connecting your wallet to random websites is a quick way to lose funds. These days i just delete and block unsolicited messages and their senders, i don't even waste one minute on them.
-
I think it exists, but I'm not sure if I want to invest there. Twitter doesn't really convince me to make financial decisions, especially since it's an account I only use for working as a bounty hunter. They don't have a good filter for promoting projects, because bounty hunters will promote any project hoping to get lucky with whatever possibilities come up.
Some Twitter accounts have quality tweets that are more rational than stalking airdrop participant accounts. Paid tweets always feel forced and exaggerated, and I don't like it because it's not natural.

Looking at their social accounts such as twitter is one of my criteria to determine if a project is promising or not because all the information you need to know can be found there like latest updates. However, there are projects who have huge followers and have yellow check account that are trying to deceive us. That's why we have to check the project very well, and not only basing on the followers and yellow check mark before we connect our wallets in to it to avoid losing assets. Better to use alt wallet minimize the risk.

Not all airdrops on Twitter are fake. Some may be scams, but some are legitimate.
Airdrop phishing is one of the most common scams.
Therefore, it's crucial to research and verify the credibility of the team behind the project before participating.
However, airdrops are one of the best ways to get free tokens and learn about new projects.
Remain careful but not antipathetic towards Airdrop.

Banning crypto content would not solve the problem 100%, in addition, that would cause many users to migrate to other social networks and that is not in Musk's interest. X may not have enough means to deal with spam and scams, but it is up to them to make sure their house is clean for users. Otherwise, and as has already happened and will continue to happen, many users will prefer to use decentralized social networks like Mastodon.
Many users are newbies who will believe anything that makes them believe they can make money quickly, they are the prey. It is X's responsibility to take care of its users, they make the social network continue to exist and generate income.

It is an absolute fraud in order to get to the wallet addresses and I believe that there is a possibility of just identifying the addresses in some of the programs in order to be able to steal all the funds. So there is nothing to it.

All fraud is difficult to avoid because detection is also difficult, as is the case with airdrops on Twitter. I agree that not all airdrops there will definitely be fraudulent, although most are like that.
Indeed, by continuing to follow everything he does by joining the community, you will be able to find out whether the airdrop was a scam.
I agree, an airdrop is a means to get free tokens which can possibly produce results, even though it cannot be a benchmark.

That depends on the coin being promoted and the partners of the coins that will also do airdrops. Because if their investors are serious, it can be a good result for the market after a short period of time.
But of course, we should still be cautious as investors or communities that will participate in airdrops. Also, Twitter is not the only platform that can be used to promote a coin in the field of cryptocurrency business.

This is very rampant and hackers have found a way to exploit airdrops by asking people to connect their wallets, so if you're active on airdrops be sure to check the source of the airdrop or better use a wallet specific for this kind of activity, never use your main wallet and always doubt if they offer something too good to be true, hackers are deceiving you think that way.

The majority of the airdrops are really scams, and the majority of the crypto community on this platform knows that. That's why there are still many victims because they mistakenly think they will get big earnings from airdrops.
It's not like we saw a post on Twitter about airdrops; it's immediately legit. Of course, we also know that most posts about airdrops on Twitter are just hyped, but in the end, it's a scam.

Yes, we really have to find out more before we participate in the airdrop, because of the many airdrops available, only a few can be trusted and are serious about their project, so we always have to be careful.
Don't let us regret it in the end because we carelessly chose the airdrop. Don't just because we are looking for free tokens or coins, we actually lose the assets we have in our wallet, that is very detrimental.

In order not to happen badly, as airdrop hunters have to separate between the main wallet and the wallet used for airdrops, it is even mandatory because now many scammers give traps to dApps that are deliberately made to do the drained wallet method.
Not only on Twitter, wherever airdrops originate it needs to be vigilant and don't carelessly connect wallets.

Safety is always of paramount concern in whatever we do while in the world and market of cryptocurrency most especially if it involves connecting to our wallets. Sad to see many scammers are using airdrop technique to lure people to share their wallets opening the possibility of draining the insides of our wallets if we allow them. This actually happened to me once and the feeling is not really so nice, to say the least. In Twitter, I always encounter so many airdrop promotions and we can never be sure which can be legit and which are just fishing expedition to get into us...there are even those who DM me telling me that I won $5000 but I need to pay a processing or transfer fee of at least $40...of course this is surely just another scam and I am already old enough to know how to detect them. The cryptocurrency currency industry has been infested with scams and frauds in different forms and types and in fact many people are turned off getting into the market all because of these black eyes and it is unfortunate there is nothing concrete we can do to stop these perpetrators except avoiding not to be their next victim and warning others about them.

Totally agree with you, we really have to separate our main wallet from the wallet we use to do the airdrop. And I have also done this, this is one way we can do to avoid something we don't want.
Fraudsters will always use all means to achieve their goals and if we are aware of things like this, we should be able to minimize them further. As you said, don't just connect the wallet carelessly, we have to be able to confirm whether it is safe or not.

Fraudsters will always carry out their actions when they have the opportunity. Differentiating between the main wallet and the wallet for playing in the airdrop is rare because we can protect our main assets. Many people do phishing when our wallet is connected, so be careful.

Yes, of course, and they will always have fresher methods to smooth out their bad ideas. I think they have intelligence, but they use it for things that can harm other people.
Recently I also noticed that there are so many fake Twitter accounts, and interestingly they will leave comments along with fake links right under the posts of the original twotter accounts. They're that open now to tricking users, and if users aren't careful enough then they'll get caught.

On Twitter is getting freer, even these scammer accounts have blue ticks and yellow ticks.
So for ordinary people, it is difficult to distinguish between fake and real accounts if you are not careful.
And it usually appears on airdrop information posts and even if I block one of them, more will appear.

Do i have to believe on the source for airdrop that is ongoing as long as the higher percentage of all of them that were available are not reliable, they are nothing than a waste of time in most cases since they are not mostly rewarding, we only advised some newbies to make use of them to have a background knowledge about them and start from somewhere, this will help them have an ideal on how to make the real trading and investment when the times comes that they are dealing with coins and tokens.

You are right though, but then, we can't actually say that all the airdrops that are being posted on Twitter are all fake airdrops, some of them are actually genuine, but it's a very minimal percentage when compared to the percentage of the fake ones, and you also may want to know that some this airdrops arent actually a way to steal from unsuspecting participants, but some are actually launched as a way of farming engagement and as well gaining followers.
In crypto, we have alot of airdrop hunters who do nothing other than hunting from one airdrop to another, personally though, I wonder how this people make money from all this, but I guess they must really be some special kind of people in terms of having or being patient.
Anyways, for us that are here, it's still a very good advice for us to try as much as possible to avoid engaging in airdrops we are not sure if it's genuine or not, most especially those that require us to connect our wallet to some dapp and sign a transaction, we need to be extremely careful so as never for fall victim to any of such scams.
-
There are two sides to airdrops in Twitter/X - the legitimate ones and the fake ones.
Any legitimate project will be active on social media X with some development when an airdrop is launched we must be able to verify it because when the legitimate one starts launching the fraudulent X account will resemble the real one.
It depends on how they identify and reset much deeper, but there are still many legitimate airdrops on X.
A little help if you are an X user is to use the Scam Sniffer extension that will detect fake sites including when you connect to Metamask.

Some are true, some are not. This is why airdrop hunters must be aware of the links that they're browsing especially if it comes from Twitter.
I've been using Twitter for months now and I use it for me to be updated on the upcoming airdrops. What I observe is that, there are many scammers who are trying to impersonate those legit airdrops by making a handle that's almost the same as the legit one.
I disagree with what you said that all airdrops in Twitter are false because there are still some airdrops that are still legit. I know that being hacked is possible that's why we need to double-check or even triple-check the links that we are browsing with. I used Twitter for airdrops, and so far, I didn't fell for any single phishing sites or anything that scammers are using to scam investors.
Like what OP said, always be careful with Twitter when you are trying to join airdrops because there are many scammers out there.

That's true, Elon Musk has allowed them to pay a few bucks and be able to scam thousands of dollars from innocent people by deceiving them with the blue ticks they have bought. I know that Twitter had a lot of scammers in the past as well, but at least in the old Twitter, there were no such features where anyone could pay a few bucks and get a blue tick for their account which makes them look legit.
However, now as this has been revealed that anyone can have a blue tick on Twitter, people need to be more vigilant and shouldn't trust every single handle they see a tweet from because scammers create exact looking duplicate handles to make people believe in them.

As soon as you open the social media, there are numerous airdrop ads which are annoying most of the time. Also, will those airdrops actually distribute the amount of tokens to the users that I am very curious about it. Because everyone makes promises but so many promises can never be kept. Because not all projects will be successful. And if the project doesn't succeed, those who joined those airdrops won't get anything.

Yes, of course there will be airdrops that are legit, but there will also be fake ones or just shit. This is like when analyzing projects, some are legit, some are shit projects, and some are really scams. So this will depend on how we as airdrop hunters analyze these airdrops, whether they are legit or not. This may be quite difficult, especially for many influencers from social media who are also promoting it, but it's not necessarily worth it and it's worth it. So it's really smart for us to do it. or even the luck factor can also add to its advantages. Oh yes, one more thing, when doing airdrops, sometimes we don't need to understand whether it will be legit or not. because often, it really goes beyond expectations and initial guesses. So many airdrop hunters do all the airdrops they know how to do. and the results will be up to you what happens later. The important thing is, don't let us spend money on airdrops for any reason.
-

All these promises are as old and known as the “moon, lambo, etc…”. After all these years, I believe that these X (Twitter) campaigns can only be directed at new users who are approaching the industry for the first time, because users with more years of experience already know well how 99% of these projects end. These campaigns only serve to fill the pockets of a few and nothing more. Furthermore, in the Apps of these supposed projects we can sometimes find all types of malware.

Been aware that most of projects now does have that kind of x/twitter engagement or social media engagement for those people who are joining up their airdrops on which you would really be able to see tons of those tweets and other interactions about this and that and even trying out to hook up people as much as possible. Doesnt matter whehter on legit project or a shit one.
This is why you should really be that careful when it comes on dealing with it if you dont really on ending up on having that shit investment. Although not all turns out to be shit
because there are indeed still some legit projects but just like on risks management when it comes on crypto investment then its always been the main consideration.

There is this one they spam every time with #block, the comments were so annoying to read, like there is no day one would go through the comments section without seeing those hashtags in those comments and I later found out that they were farming airdrops. What burst the bubble is that the airdrop actually paid but when they paid, it was just a pinch of salt worth of dollars majority got because the population of participants were too much. It's worth spending time upon.
-
This definitely seems like something that could cause a lot of trouble for a lot of people. Airdrops are %99.99999 of the time fake, they are tokens that worth absolutely nothing. Remember, you may see a launch, but most of the time those launches are just there for people to take the investors money and leave, they will not use that money at all, and they are using airdrops to do marketing for free as well. That way, they spend maybe 100 bucks at most, build a token (takes 15 minutes) and a website, get the marketing for free with their fake token that worths nothing with airdrops, and you get nothing while they get all the money from investors they can.

Many of them are fake but as of the bull run, many of them are legitimate too. Those that have been grinding with airdrops, I see a lot of them earn a lot this time.
But the ratio out of 10, maybe 2-3 of them are real and successful and the rest, they are all a waste of time.

What you are doing is a precautionary measure to prevent the main wallet from accidentally causing something that actually gives them the opportunity to enter our personal wallet, which usually without us realizing they have carried out pre-arranged actions so that they can hack into our main wallet. .
So, while participating in airdrops, it's better to create another wallet specifically for all the airdrops that we participate in.
Totally agree, fraudsters can always be one step smarter than us to be able to trick us without us realizing it.

Make sure everything is safe and see how others recommend before working on it.

Well, the truth is I'm not a person who is always Going to do things just to do them , I Stopped believing in airdrops many years ago, that's why it doesn't matter where they send the tokens, my question is, does it still work for you ? because I have seen that Airdrops now are so Bad, they offer 5 Dollars and also if they will be eligible through drawings or Something , then it seems to me that it works in vain, I think this is already out of Fashion so things here are not so Functional , well that's what I see, I don't think things are good like that , I see that none of that works , for me these things Always look like that, if it Works like that again in 2017 wow That would be something great , I had surgery , I honestly doubt it.

Of a truth airdrops are majorly announced on social media handles of projects for the wider and bigger community to take part in because from there they could be able to get the larger community they longed for. However not all airdrops are genuine some are scam and some too are released from hacked account as a result of the influence of the account and the huge number of followership to be able to get at them. This is why it is advisable to always verify airdrops and the source before taking part in them.
Airdrops have made many and it also have crushed many as a result of hacks and carelessness of the airdrop participants from conducting their own due diligence before taking part in the airdrop. Most times it is not all about the account holder influencing the airdrop but who is behind that account. Some account get hacked without the knowledge of the owners and some know and keep quiet about it until the deed has been down then they will come out publicly and make announcement of their account being hacked after the deed has been done which they should have been able to avert at the initial beginning.

And it usually appears on airdrop information posts and even if I block one of them, more will appear.
they use almost the same username, only there are a few differences in it, and if we are not careful in distinguishing their usernames then we will fall into a trap.
You are right on Twitter they are easy to use verified accounts, as long as they have the money to pay, then they will immediately get an account that looks trustworthy (verified), even though they use it to deceive a lot of people. We really need to be careful when looking at these accounts.

It's true, many individuals who do this take advantage of the carelessness of Twitter users. In the Solana network recently things like this often happened and many people were scammed, so we have to be careful when we want to make transactions. we have to research the destination address we want to use for transactions.

We have to be careful in everything, especially joining airdrops on Twitter. It's best to check the authenticity of the event on the main website and never use a wallet that contains our assets. We should create a new wallet if we want to participate in the airdrop.

I was one of the people who monitored how thousands of meme tokens were born on the solana network, and it was truly amazing. They compete to create meme coins to take advantage of those who have FOMO about meme coins, and it's true that many people end up making losses from there.
The relatively small cost they need to create meme coins on the Solana network is one of the factors that makes the Solana network a favorite for fraudsters. Especially during Solana season, they compete to be the first to create a meme coin.

Do we actually cares about the source to where airdrops emancipates from, as long as it still exist and remain airdrops, people will always go for it and some will have enough reasons for them to avoid it, we should understand this and know, the source to airdrops doesn't change anything about them, we should not waste our time if we think they are not worth going for or hunting after.

Airdrop fans will always look for airdrops and do all the work. They have time to do it all. People who prefer trading will focus on trading. Meanwhile, investors who prefer to be holders because they don't have free time will prefer that. It all depends on our respective preferences and time

The source of airdrops does not really matter but what matters is the genuity of the airdrops. Are the projects sustainable to last longer than expected? Who are the people behind the projects as the case may be. Irrespective of where the airdrop was advertised or published for the people to launch it, that does not mean an airdrop should be criticised.
Although there are scam airdrops that have caused people their fortune and there are airdrops that have made people. In other words, airdrops can come from anywhere as long as it is project backed with a strong utility value or use case.

look for airdrops from their official site and do a check. If the project is good, chances are the airdrop will be worth it. But if the project looks like it's just a project that won't progress, it's best not to participate in the airdrop

This actually depends on your habits and what you follow on Twitter. If you are covered with various airdrops, it is because you spend a lot of time on them, so the algorithm recognises you as a potential interested party.
Like Twitter itself, 98% of the airdrops offered are worthless, but for some reason, there are always those who sign up if something is free, even if it is worthless.

This is exactly what I do back then when I am frequently active in airdrops but after my experience, I had to do away with it. I do not criticise airdrops and their participants because I too once did it as a newbie into crypto. Back then, if I want to take part in Airdrop, I visit their website just as you have said here and check out for it including the procedures involved so I do not miss out or make any silly mistake in the process.

Nah I won't believe those airdrops and giveaways, because most of them are fake, and coming from scammers. And in the procedure of joining them when we connect our wallets with the platforms they required us to do. We lost out funds as well. We can't trust any airdrop we saw on twitter. This is the first rule I follow as an airdrop hunter. I only follow reputed influencers who share airdrops on their telegrams. Most of the people/influencers are active on TG groups and channels. They are not even active no Twitter.
So I won't believe any airdrop I saw on twitter and I will advice everyone to do the same. For example, when the twitter account of Vitalik Buterin was compromised, and hackers made a post of airdrop, and many people took it as legit and fall prey to the scammers, and overall lost at that day was more than 900K dollars. Its not a small amount. There are many other such cases exists too. So, I suggest we should double check everything before connecting our main wallets.
-
The majority of airdrops advertised on Twitter are unfortunately scams. Instead of participating in those, I focus on legitimate airdrop events hosted by reputable exchanges like Bitget's Candy Bomb, Binance's Mega Drop, and similar offerings from other major platforms and avoid airdrops that require connecting my wallet, as that carries security risks.
-

I have observed the activities of some airdrop hunters where they are constantly participating in new airdrops. If so many airdrops are constantly coming to the market, then I don't know how those airdrops will survive in the market. All airdrops will never pay, some airdrops will pay but most airdrops are fake. There are some airdrops that offer such payments but are not suitable for withdrawals. I think for people participating in airdrops is just a waste of time. Though some airdrop hunters get big rewards.

During my bounty hunters career I have promoted variety of projects that ran airdrops, but I just realized that I have never participated in any that I saw in Twitter, nor had any interest in participating or clicked on retweeted link. The reasons might be various why I did that, but there are two main of them: 1) number of participants. I can only imagine how huge is the network of retweets of original tweet and number of participants that came outside Twitter 2) there are so many of them, that participating and chance of getting rewarded is really low.

Well bounty is actually cool ways to earn free tokens but when promoted on twitter it seem like people chilling over there and you don't know the real people who are behind that especially there are much more inorganic users other than bots accounts that are manipulating tweet ad retweet at this point I become more careful to follow information shared on twitter. I had one participated on bounty but only on sig which i didn't involved myself with twitter campaign.

Now that X/Twitter had become strict with these kind of activites then you would definitely be able to make your account be locked on having this suspcious activity.
Although it would really be that so easy to make an account but it would really be just that a waste if you would really be doing such thing. This is why these kind of PM's
had become that lesser on the time that X did put up that kind of strictness about with that behavior. Its common that these PM's would really be that shady
and as long you arent that cliking any links then you should really be just that fine.

What he says is very true, Although I think that things can be nice these days if they announce something about winning, I am not one to go to YouTube much, but these days that I have seen it there are many Airdrops that they are promoting and that People by having referrals can earn some money, which is not a bad thing , so in view of this Because I don't know if they get it on Twitter , and to be Honest I find it Impressive that Airdrops still Survive in these times , Of course, they are no Longer Attractive as they were in 2017 Where people Made huge Amounts of money for doing Tasks on social networks.

The goal is clear, we follow it because there is a reward that we get from what we have done and that is something that naturally happens. But for social media, especially Twitter, then we cannot control how many participants take part Because one person can have several different accounts and there is no protection that, can be done, so it is natural that there will be a lot of participants and as a result what they get will no longer be worth it, even though the work is very easy. But that is the reality that we have to accept from the situation that occurred.
I think it's okay to follow the airdrop via Twitter, but don't use the main wallet. If asked, use another wallet and don't click on anything that isn't directly related to Twitter.

People will continue to earn from that source about which he knows better that it will give them profit but if someone finds that this source is not giving him anything but becomes a cause of loss then he will never choose such a thing for earning. The preference of every individual is different from one another and one will prefer that thing about which he shows interest and interest increases when profit increases.
Some people will focus more on trading although it is risky but they have the ability to earn well from trading therefore they will always talk about trading in good words. Others will say good about Airdrops so I think it's a matter of interest and preference and no one can force another one to be a part of any field.

Airdrops are not only on Twitter or social media platform X, but X is a good platform for them because of the very good traffic that it has and the number of crypto enthusiasts who are looking for updates about cryptocurrency. You have only like two out of every 10 airdrops that are legit, because most airdrops are fake and started only for you to work for the benefit of the people who created them, which is why you need to be extra careful.

You are correct sir. I had this experience back then my early days on Crypto space were I just start clicking airdrop links through twitter handle and start following the procedure for claiming them but unknown to me that they were scams and just as you have said, that was the scenario I found myself. You will just be doing the airdrops following their pages, clicking, liking and sharing of twitter page of the real project and it would look as if you are doing the right thing not until it is time for withdrawal that is when you will start seeing the scammy aspect of it. You will have to invite a specific number of friends while some would tell you to claim the token by yourself to save them transaction fee and some would tell you to send a little amount of Crypto before you could be able to withdraw your airdrop which is very funny.
All these are just the funny things I encountered coupled with my other experiences with airdrops which made me desist from doing airdrops.

I would never assume that all airdrop campaigns are genuine or that all airdrop campaigns will pay you. I have enough experience working on air drop campaigns and from that experience I can say if you run 100 good quality air drop campaigns out of which one or two will pay you the most. If you think that I will join any airdrop campaign and get paid for 100 airdrops together then you are wrong. Because first you need to find good quality air drop campaigns then join those good quality campaigns then you can expect like payment. But if you are patient and join good quality air drop campaigns then some big payouts can satisfy you.

Currently it is difficult to find Airdrops that are really good and will pay with high rewards. My principle is that as long as I have free time to do it, I will do it.
Just leave the final result alone and we don't need to have too high expectations to get a big reward, so that we won't be disappointed and remain enthusiastic about working on Airdrop.

If you are willing to take the risk by participating in a retrodrop or other airdrop that requires capital, you will get a higher profit than a free airdrop. Many free airdrops are not successful, but if you have free time, go ahead.

Yes, this is true, retrodop has more potential than Airdrop which is truly free. I also worked on several retro Airdrops, but I didn't do all of them because I was constrained by capital too. Some time ago I also participated in the BWB Airdrop from the Bitkep wallet, hopefully the tokens will be released soon because I am Eligible and have already received the number of tokens too. Just counting the days, it looks like BWB will be released soon!

I never join retrodrop, I am a bit afraid to join airdrop that requires some funds. In my opinion, airdrop should be for free, it doesn't need any amount of money. If we have many failed free airdrops, I also think it may also fail for the retrodrop. It is no big deal if we fail in free airdrops but it will be very bad if we fail in retrodrop. I don't want to lose money easily in retrodrop, that makes me not really brave to join retrodrop. :-\

Yeah same here, I have never tried joining a paid one as well and this is actually my first time hearing retrodrop so yeah I'll check this one as maybe it's worth it a try if ever I have extra money if not then free airdops are sometimes profitable but yeah majority of those I joined into are just a waste of time. 😅

Currently most of the projects are running the Airdrop part of their projects through Telegram and Twitter. By doing this, the social media followers of those projects are increasing so much that those projects are becoming successful in most cases. Currently, the marketing of the project through Telegram and Twitter is increasing in popularity and the project is reaching its target. To my knowledge one of the most successfully completed projects in recent times NOT coin completed their marketing with a telegram bot and gained massive popularity.

I've always believed airdrops to be a complete waste of time, I only hear people talking about profiting from airdrops but none of the testimonies have ever motivated me to considering the option of participating in any airdrops because most of them are scams and the few that are legit are almost worthless and valueless when they're finally listed, so why go through the stress of wasting your precious time with something like that.

I have worked on many such airdrops but got no expected returns from them. Moreover, after paying for some of the airdrops, I could not work as per their announcement, so I was not eligible to receive the airdrop. All the airdrops I've done have been a waste of time. If the time was spent doing something else without joining the airdrops, the same time would have been worth less or more but joining in airdrop is completely worthless.
-
If you are willing to take the risk by participating in a retrodrop or other airdrop that requires capital, you will get a higher profit than a free airdrop. Many free airdrops are not successful, but if you have free time, go ahead.
You are right that Airdrop is actually free, and it is true that Airdrop is free. The one that requires capital or costs is Retrodop, and many have proven that Retrodop has more potential to generate results than Airdrop which is completely free.
However, not everyone wants to participate in this retrodop, there are those who argue like you, there are also those who argue that they really don't have the capital to take part.

Airdrop campaign is the strong marketing tool, and we see how many projects use it!
How? I don't understand this paragraph. Airdrop is a token on it own so how it is a marketing tool? I have not seen any project used airdrop to Market their products or projects but airdrops also market their project in the social media platforms and mostly in X and telegram. And from the news I saw yesterday, the yet to be launched airdrop of Tapswap is the second highest populated airdrop in telegram.

It is clear that people are getting hopeful nowadays because back to back we had the notcoin hype and also had 70k+ bitcoin price, which means that there were a lot of people who were excited, and even still are. I am not saying that its going to be all that complicated, but we should try to avoid all of this as much as we can when we are talking about things, I am not saying that we are going to profit all the time nor saying we won't profit ever but just because you are hyped and the market got excited doesn't mean that you are going to find some free money laying around in some twitter influencers posts.

I agree. In my perspective, influencers are supposed to be the source of legit airdrop since some of them have the opportunity to communicate with the team. But because of the money that paid to them to promote the project even though they that it's not legit they will do it because they paid for it. Imagine how much money the influencers will get from the referrals if the projects explode just like Notcoin. So we have to check the project by ourselves provided by the influencers so that we are confident that we are not wasting our time. Notcoin's success had a big impact to any tapping game out there.

To my knowledge one of the most successfully completed projects in recent times NOT coin completed their marketing with a telegram bot and gained massive popularity.

but airdrop campaign is also source of wasting time because majority of airdrop is just BS and scam , so try not to ride with all of them instead just choose the strong one that you know will bring you best result or else you will only waste your time fooling yourself than doing other things with better bring up .

For airdrop lovers, you can always find a great airdrop. but for those who don't want to waste their time participating in airdrops, they will choose trading or other ways of investing. because many airdrops fail and are just scams
-
It is not only in Twitter, but also in other social media apps. The social media is a free space where scammers can post any kind of lies and fake promises that can lead plebs to being fooled and wasting their time to even join in promoting those shit. Lol.
But the thing about Twitter specifically is that Elon Musk seems to actively encourage these scammers to use his platform. He even welcomes them in the name of "free speech".
On no other platform do you see a comparable amount of spam and scam shilling as on Twitter. Sure, Youtube has bots impersonating people in their comment sections, Instagram has scammy posts, but Twitter has many dozen times that amount.

The current airdrop is very different from the past. The work is almost the same, but the airdrop is now accompanied by a fee that must be provided for the coin transfer that we will receive. This is, of course, the addition of a new system which actually makes more people dislike it. Besides, of course, many airdrops are fraudulent.
But it's okay if there are those who still want to do that because speculation, who knows, might make money.

Retrodop, if we participate, we have to pay attention every day, if a little work is done, it will all be in vain,
that's why I don't dare to take part in Retrodop because sometimes 24 hours is not enough, to work between crypto and household it is very difficult to divide the time

Actually, there is never a free money because even "in Freetown, nothing is free" one must do some task before they can be able to get whatever they want. In Crypto space, as little as airdrops are, you must perform some task before being awarded the airdrop so you can see that it is not free because you engaged in an exercise that made available the airdrop rewards for you.
Looking at the current status of the Crypto market, it is something worth hopeful on. Of lately, the spike in telegram projects is very interesting with notcoin paving the way for the others to follow suit. Currently, there is another making waves which is hamster Kombat and the much anticipated tapswap. These projects are fast and rapidly growing and gaining traction in the global Crypto community. They have garnered millions of followership and participants and are amongst the largest crypto communities on telegram.
All these are happening now immediately after halving and so far, the notcoin has done really great looking at the waves of attention it attracted to the Crypto community. Newbies were onboarded and made some cash from their participation in the project and as it stands now the growth in awareness in the overall Crypto space is noticeable.

- For now Yes, airdrops are really becoming a trend because we are in the bull run season, but if we are in a bear market, there will be no airdrops for sure. Airdrops are just going along with the trend to be honest.
That's why participating in airdrops programs you must also know how to check the right airdrops whether they are legit or not so that the effort is not wasted somehow. And don't ever join an airdrops that will give you money, big or small.

There are still some airdrops that are still paying but the concept aren't like before, unlike then where you can just do some local task like doing share and like on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and submit wallet address. Now, it's either you interact on their testnet and spend some gas on new chain mainet, you will hardly make something from today's airdrop.
There are now meme coins that people are tapping and they made money from it, one I know is notcoin and a lot of people made money from it, not sure how this one is going to last in the future.

Obviously, I think telegram projects are beginning to change the narrative. So far, I just noticed a whole change in the airdrop perspective. The just launched notcoin airdrop is a telegram project and to be frank with you, it was quite different from other and setting the lace for others. The number of participants was over whelming and it Mader telegram more popular as there was millions of sign up every day bot oils and newbies with little or no knowledge of Crypto made cool cash from just playing game by tapping on daily basis.
If this could be a Crypto adoption strategy for newbies, it is quite alright because I noticed that people that took part in the notcoin project are mostly newbies and so far they now talking about Crypto everywhere and are willing to give to it as their first experience in yielded them positive results.

Maybe for the actual task there is no significant change and it is almost the same as before, but now they are smart enough to charge gas fees for transactions for participants to be able to get their coins. There is even a testnet that clearly tells us to prepare costs such as buying new coins, even though currently the price is still relatively small, at only $5, but it is not impossible that it will expand like a new project, but only the concept has been changed.
I have participated in something like this and will not repeat it and only make it a profit profit for them.

Many testnets are currently in airdrop, although not all of them are popular, they are also busy. I'm not part of the people who are looking for rewards from airdrops. I prefer to follow boynt amapaing on the forum. especially this bounty which pays for BTC.

On the moment that there would really be some sort of bridging funds for the sake of testnet transactions then i do usually skip out this kind of airdrop on which it is really just that a waste for you to spend up something like gas for fees or network fees and ending up on getting peanuts on TGE which it do really sucks with this kind of set up with airdrop nowadays.
Also, X/Twitter has become that strict when it comes to those social media engagement which it does involve tons of bots and useless spams which do lead up on banning up
their accounts which it isnt really that worth.
-
Airdrop is useless at this time and I don't see it becoming interesting anymore, unlike before. Social media like Twitter become a tool for spreading information and marketing strategies but sadly, it has also become a tool for scamming. It is free money indeed but the question really appears in our mind is if that is worth spending our time. Well, I believe there are some but it is difficult to find when we are already flooded with fake airdrops.
-
There are many sites from which you can get knowledge about the coming airdrop like discord can also give you the opportunity to be involved in good airdrops. All types of airdrops are not false and scam and many of them can give you free tokens but you should identify about the Airdrops that have been shared.
You have to check out that the mentioned airdrop has shared through the official account of twitter or anything else so if that account is not official then you have to be careful in choosing that airdrop.

I have never participated in an airdrop that came from Twitter or any other social network. In fact, the last time I participated in an airdrop was many years ago, the project is quite well known, Decred, and it was between December 2015 and January 2016. Since then I have not participated in any other airdrop, they seem like a waste of time to me, in addition to the (unnecessary) risk involved in connecting our wallets to sites we do not know. Personally the time invested in airdrops is not worth the cents that can be earned, although sometimes people do not earn even cents since there are many scams.

It's useless because you have not been participating or perhaps paying attention to them. I used to see meme people as lunatic investors who doesn't pay attention to real projects until I later realized that crypto is now about the money to be made and not what it really means. Shiba and many meme clear my doubts.
Now coming to the aspect of aidrop, I'm sure you have heard of notcoin since they launch, I actually saw them doing those things tapping their phone like people that lack work but I know many people life's turn around with taping phones, just sit at home and tap, that's what they do and made money from notcoin aidrop.
-
Twitter has for sure become one of the main platforms to publish about Airdrops since most of the crypto community is very active on Twitter.
I believe projects make use of all the social media platforms out there to market themselves because nowadays its very important to have a loyal community if you are going to raise funds for your Crypto Startup.
That being said one has to remain very careful and research more on the project when participating in airdrops.

The problem with what you say is that anyone can pay $8 a month for a X profile to be or appear "official", it is something that has happened many times, and then said profiles have been deleted, knowing that X will do nothing to identify the scammers. The place where the most airdrops are announced is on X, therefore the largest number of scams are found on X. I don't know the exact percentage, nor do I know if there is any study about it to have more information, but I am sure that of all the airdrops that appear daily on X, practically all of them are scams. Very, very few are authentic and they pay what they offer.

I was just going though my feed today on X and the I saw Param trending on my location and when I checked, it was one Twitter airdrop that was paid to people after they used it to make engagement and I was impressed, they were actually using the hashtag to spam on comments just to engage and force conversation and I think the project has made name on X.
That being said one has to remain very careful and research more on the project when participating in airdrops.
Actually, there is nothing to lose on X platform when you engage on this projects, the worse that might happen is that the project might not launch and you will have nothing after the struggle. The worse that might happened is wasting your time because aidrop doesn't involve using money but free money for people to do simple tasks.

Its easily for scammer how to make their X account got verified by paying around 8$ every month, but most trusted airdrop sharing trough twitter depend on their website and linked to X account platform. I think depend on verified of X account color if blue seems most trusted account and difficult for scammer make their social media X account with blue color verified because most of them using yellow verified.
I don't know many people easily get scam when the scammer sharing fake news for receiving airdrop must follow, retweet and put the address below their tweet.
-
By using twitter x you will find all the crypto airdrops tweets that promise million dollars early. You may not be a victim of scam there but will engage in part time scam project promotion. At this time good projects don't issue free tokens so you have to be more careful about this. There are many posts that will be given away for free via retweets or a few winners will be selected and rewarded. I don't know if anyone has ever made money from this. However i don't trust a single airdrop from twitter x and I'm not a fan of airdrops because they let us down so many times.

I don't know the exact data, but I assume that there will be many people scammed, especially those who have less experience and do not inform themselves or try to verify the information. We have already seen many times on X how well-known profiles have been impersonated to scam, and days have passed without anyone doing anything. Because X acts so slowly, users' best weapon against scams is knowledge and comparison of information from various sources. That would prevent many scams.

But I rarely see them on Twitter, even if there are, maybe I'm not too eager to follow.
Because I'm afraid that now every airdrop starts giving coins, but we are charged a fee.
What I often get is airdrops on the Telegram network, but I only read and am not interested in participating.
Better via X than telegram, because of Telegram, I think many links are fake, and I fear they are scams.
I, too, like you, don't believe in airdrops wherever they are advertised and definitely don't follow them.
-
I follow few Twitter handles who are known to post genuine airdrop stuff and it works for me well, going through your timeline to find genuine airdrops is like wading through garbage and you are surely to be disappointed in hunting airdrops this way.
But still you may need to wade through garbage just to find genuine handles, it's what it is.

That's true. For one to get something tangible and meaningful, one must hurdle through to achieve that. So if one must encounter genuine airdrops on twitter platform, one must have gone through series of fake and scam airdrops which seems to be real and at the entire end turns out to be scam. Sometimes these experiences makes one to be able to decipher genuine and scam airdrops circulating on twitter. Not only that, one can be able to know those twitter handle that circulates fake and scam airdrops via their handles so they be able to avoid them in the long run.

I lack respect with some airdrop sharing at twitter with their task following, retweeting until like or comment their tweet, waste of our time only quester of task airdrop like than because finally reward too small when airdrop ended. In telegram network airdrop have difference case with TON support because we need spent fees for claiming coins,
some time have bigger fees spending than reward receiving. Better for airdrop joining with retro although spend some fees for swap or bridge but bigger reward receiving than waste time with common airdrop not worth yet any more.

Indeed, we have had experiences when participating in airdrops on Twitter, although the task is not too difficult because it only involves liking, commenting and retweeting.
The problem is that what we do is not worth it, because what we get is very small, because there are too many participants and the prize allocation is also small.
Currently, there are a lot of airdrops that are carried out with almost the same aim as bounties, because they have to provide a fee to exchange them for their coins, not to mention the fees charged.
There are always updates from airdrops with various types of things that are done, but they all end up being the same and don't provide the best. they always have to choose what they want to participate in, because there are many available at the moment.

I totally agree with you, I've recently seen that Airdrops have come Back but they're not as attractive as they were in 2017, of course the ones that Used to come out and were given Away , now there are much less, but they don't give much , for example doing an airdrop for 5 usd and having to do a lot of publicity is something difficult, it's Something that not Everyone achieves, that's why now many of us have become reluctant to accept Doing tasks, the source doesn't matter, whether it's from Twitter or Another social Network , what's Important here is that it can be Expanded to do things Better , that's what I've seen and what I've put on social media for a long time.

I agree, the current airdrop is not as interesting as it used to be. because the rewards received are too small and many airdrops fail and do not distribute the rewards. Actually, it doesn't matter if the source comes from Twitter or other social media, but as long as the project is good and the team is responsible, I think the airdrop will be worth it. Honestly, I prefer daily trading to participating in airdrops.

I read comments above, and it surprises me people are still hunting airdrops via doing social media stuff. Airdrop trend has changed a lot recently, and social media is not it (including platforms like galx/zealy/questn/interact).
These days, you are better of farming projects where incentives are already announced, active ones being Mode network and farming pearls on Swell network.
Look at recent past which rewarded good to farmers: $JTO, $PARCL, $ETHFI, $EIGEN.
You stick with right projects and you'll be rewarded good.

Well, it's the same with me, avoiding airdrops on X, let alone having to follow them and tweet their posts.
I think it's just a trick of people looking for followers on their accounts for certain purposes that we don't know for sure

It's simple.
More followers, more impressions, more revenue.
Some accounts also farm referrals.

Indeed, the airdrop is currently being modified in such a way that they can also get contributions indirectly, and it is no longer free, even though, after paying, there is still other work which, of course, cannot be done, so it becomes a waste of what we have contributed.
So it seems like if it's not done well it's useless. I think you're right that it's useless to do an airdrop because you won't necessarily get much contribution.
But we can't forbid someone who is still aiming for an airdrop and that's legal and if it works, it's something very good.
Currently, Bounty, Airdrop, etc. haven't provided anything for participants and don't know when it will get better, so it's natural that someone is targeting trading for options.

Like any technology or machine, there are times when it will also become outdated , so it needs to be updated again. Maybe this is what happens with bounties and airdrops, it could be that many people already think of this as something old and boring. There is no better effect than spammers, and in fact this is the contest that is most often abused by participants too. I see a lot of people cheating by copying and pasting content, duplicating media, using multiple accounts and so on. Clearly this is becoming increasingly unhealthy and needs to be updated.
I am waiting for this update, considering that the cryptocurrency industry still has many enthusiasts today, and marketing needs are clearly needed here.

Yes, it seems like bounties and airdrops are not what they used to be at the beginning of 2015-2017, bounties are very worth it. And currently I also see that airdrops are not as valuable as before, many are turning to trading because this is certain and suits their respective skills. Let's just see that currently project bounties are not as popular as they used to be.

Finally, it is proven that there is always an up and down in all lines, including in bounty and airdrops. At the time of Bounty and Airdrop, they can contribute to the participants and many can get a decent result, but at this time it has passed and only memories. Indeed, there must be and update both at Bounty and Airdrop to be able to return to the past, but when will it happen? No one can be sure of that, even though it is always open, because it is true that the colleague said that until now they still need help to spread their new projects, so they can be known.
