Title: Solana network shuts down, will you still invest in SOL?
Post by: KryptoBull on February 10, 2024, 12:00:48 AM
Recently, the Solana network experienced its 11th outage in the past 2 years, causing a stir in the crypto community. This network outage lasted nearly 5 hours, raising concerns about the stability of Solana blockchain platform[1].

However, contrary to my prediction, investor confidence in the SOL token still does not seem to be affected too much. Even many of my friends are still looking for investment opportunities in SOL with the expectation that this currency will continue to grow in the new growth cycle.

I tried thinking of a few reasons why investors are still optimistic about SOL:

It's easy to understand that with strong reasons like these, investors will continue to trust and invest in SOL tokens, despite the network's uncertain quality. I'm really interested in the optimistic sentiment of investors in the crypto market: crypto operates on the blockchain, but even though the blockchain has problems, token prices continue to grow.

If you are SOL token investore, I'd like to know your views on Solana and SOL:

If you are SOL token investore, I'd like to know your views on Solana and SOL:
  • Did the Solana incident impact your decision to invest in SOL?
  • Are you really bothered by the failure of the Solana blockchain?
  • Do you believe that in the uptrend in 2025, the SOL token price will still grow and will not be negatively impacted by Solana blockchain outages?
Unfortunately, I didn't invest in SOL so I have no opinion. However, when the market recovers and SOL token price increases, any negative effects will be minimized or ignored, while positive news will be pumped in, making the market more exciting.

In the next cycle, if SOL continues to increase well, I can also consider investing in SOL or tokens in the Solana ecosystem despite the risk of shutdown. I often buy tokens on CEX so I'm not afraid of having network problems like on-chain users on Solana.

From cash flow and ecosystem development, I believe that SOL will continue to grow and create a new ATH in the upcoming cycle in the $500 zone.

The amount of market that Solana is occupying is increasing the confidence of investors in sol day by day. When sol was listed it cost a few cents but now it is $109 and its price is increasing day by day. Seeing these, many have started to think it is the 2nd ETH. Most of those who invest in sol are not afraid to invest here. They happily invest with a lot of confidence. So I think those who like sol will not panic and stop investing and holding even if sol network is shuts down.

But I personally always focus more on Bitcoin and ETH because I have the most confidence in them.  and SOL is an alternative to ETH for mine

I didn't know you were a Solana investor philipma1957
I thought you only had BTC, DOGE and a few other minable coins, from what I read of your posts  ;D

In my opinion, SOL has been going strong even with this recent outage
The network had been running smoothly for almost a year, so this isolated problem is not so much to worry about

You have to remember that SOL survived all those FTX problems, I myself thought that the coin would be worth less than 10 dollars and people would lose interest. Look how much stuff is running on SOLANA today

   -  There is no denying that recently what is happening in SOL has been very good when it comes to the development it is doing, which, from what I have seen, is one of the reasons why the interest of most investors in holding it has increased. Although, for now, I don't have a hold of it because maybe I'm not a fan of Solana.

But I'm still thinking that there is no final decision for now, and that's because it's not my priority right now; instead, I'm prioritizing other cryptos than this one in SOL. So I can't answer the OP's question here. Perhaps among the fanatics of SOL, they will still stay here for sure because of the high positive belief here.

I just converted my hotspot IOT into another Solana so I now hold twice as many solana as I did yesterday. Looking forward to see it go way up. 🆙

I will continue to be with Solana and I am not surprised if there is an incident like this because incidents like this do not only happen once or twice even often in 2021 the Solana network also experienced a shutdown due to the surge in transactions and the community that entered the Solana network was too much because in 2021 Solana experienced a very high hype as evidenced by the increase in the price of soles to $ 250 so incidents like this do not make me surprised and do not in the least reduce my interest in Solana.

I am not an investor in Solana coin so I will not support or not support Solana coin, just neutral for me for Solana coin.

But this story reminds me of coins that can be manipulated by someone because the Solana coin's blockchain can be turned off just like that, and if I read correctly the blockchain's shutdown is around 5 hours, right?
This seems dangerous for investors because the Solana coin is like a centralized coin, it can be turned off and on by Anatoly Yakovenko.
Does anyone feel the same as me??

Good point if there are no independent nodes then it can be run from only one server.   The real key is how many nodes and servers are running and can one guy term them off .

I agree with the author that such moments should tell us that someone can be very radical about investing in SOL and withdraw from it, especially if it will be some large funds, if now it has already become everyone's concern, what will happen when or if it will happen further? I think it is worth thinking about how much to invest in this project.

Me too, Bitcoin and Ethereum are my priority coins and I invested in huge amount. For others  such as Solana, BNB, XRP, DOT, LINK, MATIC are just alternate choice, and In small amount.
Bitcoin shows good movement now, and I believe we will see altcoin season soon.

Isn't all the altcoins tied with the move with BTC? Almost all of the coins are up because of the move of BTC. Are we waiting for just the altcoins? I think Solana could be one of it when it comes to having those pumps and hopefully no dumps because of the traction it has to the coins on the SOL chain. I heard like JUP is a big thing with the DEX and stuff.

Before we think about it, maybe there are already people who think like that before, for example, developers who build projects on the Solana network, but in my opinion, on the contrary, many projects continue to come to join Solana, but back to the mindset because everyone has a different mindset.

But the problem was the death of a blockchain which could not operate for almost 5 hours.
You cannot send tokens, create tokens, claim rewards, receive tokens etc. that are on the Solana coin blockchain.
This is very dangerous, you know Meth, just look at the market cap of the Solana coin which is now around $48,761,673,373 but the value of this number will be worthless if the Solana coin is off the blockchain.

Everyone must have a mindset like you said, but I myself have the mindset to stay away from Solana coins, this is just my personal opinion. ;)

I don't understand what Nodes, Servers are in Solana coins. But I saw that this Solana coin has a POH coin type, Proof of History or what it's called, I don't know yet.

If Antoly Yakovenko is a rich man, does he likely have thousands of servers to run the Solana coin blockchain?
Then he also easily revived the Solana coin blockchain.

I don't understand yet, why is the Solana coin working with PoH, Node, Server, etc. and it is said that the coin is good, it is in the top 5 Coinmarketcap but the blockchian network is down, why?

Everyone is free to have an opinion here as long as they adhere to the rules..
Yes you are right that Solana's Mcap went down but it didn't take long to recover, I also don't know why my interest in Solana hasn't diminished one bit despite a lot of FUD on Twitter (x) and in this forum.
This is the last data I saw on MarketCap
(https://i.ibb.co/prPxM5g/Screenshot-20240213-211443.jpg)
This is the strength of Solana, I hope it can return to ATH and break through, if Solana exceeds its last ATH in 2021, more and more new projects will continue to emerge in the Solana network.

Yes , everyone has different thinking , we only think how it can be and why there can be a lot of attention to this , I think such shutdowns can be everywhere but I have not heard about others and I assume that it is better to protect yourself and do not invest in SOL , there are many other projects that are also worthy of attention .

Don't worry. We have not lost much, because this asset is too manipulative (as far as I am concerned). Honestly? Not a bit at all, I do not regret that I did not get the profit I could have gotten with the growth of this asset. Already, at current % returns, it is even riskier to go into such an asset. + Don't forget, if bitcoin falls by (say) 5-10%, Solana will show up to -30%. It's a classic.  ;D

P.S. Don't you think the current hype from Solana Saga and t.c. is on purpose, just to attract the attention of (new) investors? It's like, the team realize that while the hype is going on, you need as many new interested parties as possible.  8)

You have very strong principles towards Solana coins, I'm sure you also have hundreds of Solana coins.
On the Altcoinstalks Forum, it is very rare for members to become Holders of Solana coins, you are one of the lucky members to become a Holder of Solana coins.

I also saw in the ScreenShot that you provided that Solana coin is still in the top 4 on Coinmarketcap, which means that Solana coin is still safe to invest in according to you.
If you hope that the Solana coin will reach a new All Time High, Anatoly Yakovenko must make the development of the Solana coin more serious, lest this Solana coin Blockchain Shut Down or Outage happens again.

Yes, many people know about the Solana network and it is one of the most popular, but now there are already a dozen of such blockchains and they are all gaining momentum and offer not bad functionality and are not badly developing, there are many not very good projects that are also on the rumor and if they are compared with Solana, I would probably choose it, but the choice is great and you can always find something better.

BNB has risen again and is in 4th place on Coinmarketcap, while SOL is in 5th place.
Both networks are good and cheap to transact and interact with, but at the moment I still consider BNB to be stronger because it has Binance backing it up, while SOL lost FTX and suffered a lot from the fall
If FTX hadn't collapsed, SOL would certainly be even better, but the devs should be applauded for having continued their work and having come so far with SOL's network, even with the outage
As soon as the altcoin season starts, SOL could make a lot of pumps because they have so much running on the network

I only see SOL as a pump, where the low transaction fees and the user base it achieved from being at one time a competitor to Ethereum are exploited, pumped and dispersed. If you ask most SOL investors, they will tell you that their motivation to invest is profits, unlike 90% of investors who either look to the long-term or think about that Bitcoin or Ethereum could be a thing in the future.

network shuts down is worse than HIGH FEES.

A week ago I ended up spending 40 dollars that I "lost" on ETH fees, trying to do a re-staking, I miscalculated and lost that amount which I think is quite high by my standards, and I couldn't finalize the stake because it was charging 60 dollars in fees and I didn't have any more ETH in my wallet

But on SOL's network I'm quite used to spending pennies on a transaction
This prevents a lot of things from running on ETH and we need other networks, that's where Solana comes in, some games for example use solana, so I see a good future for Solana

Solana is very hot currency. And it is huge popular and i think it will be profitable also. Huge people involving and investing on Solana. It's usability also increasing day by day. Now it’s position 5th on coinmarketcap. And it’s price also increasing. It’s price still avabe $100. Now it’s price $113+. I think Solana is best coin for investment. I already invested on Solana. And i want to more invest on Solana.

They have lots of projects not only this one and Solana core devs are very active and they are popular mostly in the trading group because of the stable price increase they said Solana will be the next Ethereum and I think it will take the 4th position in coinmarketcap $6b is pretty near and  I think we will see a high price increase after the block halving If I were you better check their activity or event list here https://solana.com/events

Maybe I will summarize what you said about Solana coins and BNB, and this is just my view on what you said:
-BNB rose again to number 4 on Coinmarketcap, and Solana fell back to number 4 on Coinmarketcap.
-BNB is stronger because it is supported by Binance Exchange.
-Solana dropped because the FTX exchange that supported it became a scam.
-But Solana continues to improve its development because it has a very solid core team even though the blockchain has experienced several outages.

And my question to you, do you support BNB or Solana coins?
How many BNB or Solana coins do you HodL?

And my question to you, do you support BNB or Solana coins?
How many BNB or Solana coins do you HodL?

I use both networks regularly (as well as others, of course), but for example, I've been using the BSC network a lot to farm LayerZero's airdrop, I also use BNB to participate in Binance's launchpads, as well as some games on the BSC network and Pancake Swap
On the Solana side I've been using it for DeFi like Marginfi, Kamino, Drift. I won a jupiter airdrop for the WEN coin too

So I use both. Do you use both or just SOL

Binance has the advantage of an exchange platform that can provide a lot of profits for those who participate in the Binance Launchpad. Solana still uses third parties and currently does not have its own exchange platform. Hopefully, in the near future, the developers will think about this and provide many developments that are good in the future, which could trigger an increase in the price of Solana.

Yes, that's the reason I mentioned in my previous post: https://www.altcoinstalks.com/index.php?topic=317380.msg1498245#msg1498245

That I think BNB and the BSC network have an advantage over Solana which is the Binance exchange being a great support for both, SOL lost FTX and it was a hard hit that the coin and network suffered
Remember that FTX not only seriously affected SOL, but the entire market at the time

I agree with the author that such moments should tell us that someone can be very radical about investing in SOL and withdraw from it, especially if it will be some large funds, if now it has already become everyone's concern, what will happen when or if it will happen further? I think it is worth thinking about how much to invest in this project.
Before we think about it, maybe there are already people who think like that before, for example, developers who build projects on the Solana network, but in my opinion, on the contrary, many projects continue to come to join Solana, but back to the mindset because everyone has a different mindset.
actually this made me having some thoughts nowadays , while Solana is facing these type of issues that is something bad for its community yet there are more support coming from here and there .
so with this I will change my judgement and consider investing again from the amount I withdrawn after the great pump last year.

Welcome back to the Solana network
Problems in the Solana network should not be overly thought about why I say that, because I'm sure the developers of Solana have thought about this problem before we discuss it, Solana is not a meme coin that suddenly disappeared from the crypto world, in my opinion it makes no sense that a project that is ranked in the top five in CMC can just disappear or leave the commodity that has been built and everyone knows that building a large community is not enough with large capital funds or good partners, but there must be an introduction session such as airdrop events and others.

Oh really? I admit I said wrongly that Pyth is Python, sorry.
I think the Pyth Network project was inspired by the Python programming language, I often hear this so I immediately said spontaneously about Pyth Network becoming Pyhton, sorry.
Thank you for the information you provided, from here I learned about my mistake after guessing information about Pyth Network Information.

Although Pyth is a new project, this project is what reawakened the Solana community after a long time the Solana project was quiet (not many people discussed) and was followed by the Jupiter project (JUP) https://x.com/JupiterExchange this is the account and this hype will continue, don't know how long.
Well, you also said that the Solana project was silent for a while because there were no projects present on the Solana coin platform.
Now with the presence of Pyth Network and Jupiter Exchange, all prices of Solana coins in various markets have increased significantly, this seems to have been carefully planned by the core team of Pyth Network, Jupiter Exchange and Solana coins.

And my question to you, do you support BNB or Solana coins?

I have never tried transactions on the Solana coin because the Solana coin is like a project that has just appeared.
I'm still new to Solana coins but for BNB maybe I occasionally trade and make transactions with BNB on Binance Smart Chain.

Regardless of the rather, constant outages in Solana network, I personally stil see and consider SOL as a good investment vehicle for those who have a lot of money and can afford as many SOL tokens as possible.
If I had a million dollars to invest in cryptocurrencies for the coming bull run, I won't think twice investing a max of one hundred thousand dollars on SOL alone, and this is because over the years, I've watched and discovered that the network outages on Solana blockchain have never realty had any much and noticeable negative impact on the SOL token and it's growth, so, coming further into the future, investors have become even more confident in SOL, that regardless of what happens in terms of network outages and so on, SOL always recovers - if at all the outage had any negative impact.

And to be fair, tha last outage, before that one we are talking about, was 18 Feb 2023
So it's almost a year without any problem

If you look at January 2022, that was a problematic month for Solana

Yep, there were a lot of problems on the Solana network in January 2022, although it is worth noting that the whole year 2022 was problematic for Solana, not just January, as there were outages in six different months.
Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if there is another Solana outage a year from now, even though the situation on the Solana network is much better now than it was before.

I'd never imagine a network where people predict there will be an outage within a year can survive this long, but here we are. I guess the profits outweigh the cons, even though a disaster can happen if the network fails to restart or malfunctions in one way or another. Can't imagine how panicked people will be if we're talking about other alts, even BTC if an outage happened. This just reinforces my belief that I don't think a network like that is suitable for large-volume transactions that require security and reliability. I guess BTC is probably the only one as of now.

  • Did the Solana incident impact your decision to invest in SOL?
  • Are you really bothered by the failure of the Solana blockchain?
  • Do you believe that in the uptrend in 2025, the SOL token price will still grow and will not be negatively impacted by Solana blockchain outages?
I still don't have SOL in my account so I just continue to follow Solana ecosystem.

1. This problem of Solana was ignored by the community. I also see outage happening often but the SOL token still increases in price.
2. I don't care much about blockchain quality, I only care about profits from SOL.
3. I believe that good news and FOMO are what SOL needs to continue to increase, not the number of days of stable operation, so if the network stops, SOL token price will still increase normally.

A lot of people buy a coin because they see people discuss it, because they see people buy it but they don't even understand anything they are buying. Most people are having Solana in their wallet because the airdrops and the promised meme coins that pumped some weeks and months ago. By the time all this activities stop, many of them that are loyal will leave.

I'm sorry, don't you think this asset is overpriced? And that it may be too late to buy it. On the contrary, I would personally consider an asset when it made at least -20% of the price, not when it made x2 to the price. And the difference would be enormous, think about it. Network failures are a separate topic. It's so amazing what they write about: "miracle technologies/development/future, etc." and they can't fix the network once and for all. Isn't that funny? As far as I'm concerned, that's their biggest problem. If it's hard to fix - what about the overall ecosystem? For me personally as a user, it only alienates me.

P.S. Invested a lot of money = the network has become and you can't withdraw anything.  ;D

We all know that the Solana blockchain still has problems and the outage is proof of that, but I believe that with our dedication, the Solana Dev team can solve these problems and help Solana get better day by day. The dev team stayed after the collapse of FTX and continued to contribute to Solana, and as a result, Solana returned as strong as it is now.

Investment decisions are personal, you may need safety, while others are willing to take risks to get bigger profits. I believe that not all investors in SOL are inexperienced. Investment results will be the best answer!

So far, Solana has actually done quite well in improving and also making development progress on its network. And in fact, this doesn't have a big impact on the development of Solana prices in the market. SOL's positive trend continues. And even quite significant. Meanwhile, on the other hand, Solana provides and offers various things and concepts that are much more beneficial and also progressive. So, it shouldn't have too much influence on SOL's struggle in the market. but no matter what, Solana must remain and always fix the situation quickly.

So when it comes to investment, it's really too late to invest. However, if we look at the previous ATH, this should not be the case. So there is still a chance for the coin to come back and then go up again.

I consider the market impacts on SOL token price from two sides: positive and negative. Outage had a negative impact and we saw a slight price decline in SOL at that time. Meanwhile, the positive impact from the team's timely intervention + the strong growth of the ecosystem + impressive SOk token price increase has helped SOL token price recover quickly.

Currently SOL token price has reached 150 USD, investors are focusing on the new ATH and new projects in the Solana ecosystem, it seems that everyone no longer remembers Outage. Obviously, this huge optimism and expectation is a confirmation signal for the uptrend  ;D

  • Potential technology: despite many downtimes, Solana is very fast ~ 65k tps[2]. Technology is a powerful tool for marketing.
  • Diverse ecosystem: Solana has many dApps in most fields of DeFi, NFT, GameFi, so it attracts many users[3]. Transaction fees on Solana are very low so everyone can participate and use the network easily.
  • Support from large investors: Solana is backed by many large investment funds, Solana's brand is guaranteed[4].
  • SOL price is at a low zone compared to the old ATH of 256 USD.

  • Are you really bothered by the failure of the Solana blockchain?

BTC and ETH have always been safe investment choices, and they deserve to make up the majority of our portfolio. However, SOL is also very attractive because the returns it brings are really superior to BTC, ETH, BNB and many top altcoins. I also don't have SOL because I only DCA BTC throughout the crypto winter, and to be honest I'm a little sorry for missing out on this opportunity, I couldn't have imagined Solana's impressive comeback after the FTX crash. Congratulations to those who have always believed in and stayed with Solana, they deserve the profits!

I don't know if there were many users who kept a large amount of SOL in their portfolio after the FTX events
I myself had some SOL and sold most of them during the crash, but not at the bottom
I kept a few and continue to hold them
But I didn't buy more

I believe that few could see a future for SOL when it was at its bottom.

Perhaps this is just a conspiracy theory: Thanks to the FTX event, SOL holders sold most of their SOL tokens, so whales knew this and accumulated a lot of SOL throughout the crypto winter. When they had enough SOL to manipulate the market, the whales pumped the price of SOL up very quickly and easily because investors had no more SOL to sell. In the end, even though the price of SOL has increased more than 20 times from the bottom, most of the profits belong to the whales, not the investors. Only a few diamond hands have made a profit, and I believe they deserve it.

Your decision to sell SOL is also perfectly reasonable, we can't know for sure what will happen in the future, we always have to manage risk well to protect our accounts. Other opportunities are always waiting for us ahead.

I once saw the price of SOLANA coin at 12 dollars but I didn't buy it and until now the price of SOLANA coin is above 120 dollars, I haven't bought it.
I'm not really sure about this SOLANA coin because of the "shutdown" factor of the Blockchain and this for me is very scary because it could be worthless if a coin experiences a "shutdown" in the blockchain section.

I don't want to give you all FUD but I want to provide information that will keep me safe.
It's better for me to avoid problems like this so that I don't regret it later because this SOLANA coin is very risky for my own funds if it experiences another "shutdown" on the blockchain.

Naturally, it is overrated, but you need to understand that everyone who is in the top is overrated and this is actually normal, what plays a big role here is not underestimation but popularity, and today Solana is very popular and in Asian countries it is only becoming more popular every day and that is why this asset It is worthy of investment because it will bring a lot of profit by buying it at any level, although it is advisable to buy it all when the market is in a drawdown.

Everyone has their own criteria for their investment portfolio, it is completely reasonable to stay away from SOL token after the collapse of FTX if you cannot accept the risk from it. The market still has a lot of tokens to choose, they are safer than SOL, they have quite good profits for investors such as BTC and ETH, there are not many reasons for investors to choose SOL, and even if they choose, they will only dare to allocate a small part of the capital to SOL. I don't think anyone sane enough would go all-in on SOL at the price range of 8-12 USD.

Solana's problems continue but SOL price continues to rise thanks to investor FOMO and ecosystem growth. Those who can tolerate the risk and believe in Solana can continue to buy and hold SOL, if SOL price increases in the uptrend, they deserve huge profits!

I'm not a fan but i'm very impressed how Solana rally these few weeks. I think SOL has a great potential considering the ecosystem they had and also the technology. Espcially their Solana mobile, it's quite very interesting for not to invest for this network. The bugs and outage as long as it can be fixed I'm good with it, there's always room for upgrade and improvements as the project continue. :)

It's true, Solana has very good potential to profit from price movements which are currently still cheap and could become very expensive someday. You have to look at the ongoing Solana development process so that the potential for profits for those who are still holding Solana for a long time will still be there.

Frankly speaking if not for this thread, I would have never knew that Solana have even reached an ATH of 256usd before and the reason why I say this, is because I started noticing sol coins from early  last year when the price was as low as 22 -25$ and seeing the growth it has gotten I was really of the impression that the coin has done pretty good and even commended it for many people that were starting to grow interest because of the supposed significant rise.

Solana is still in the development process and it seems there are still several obstacles that need to be overcome immediately, for example the Solana network went out several times in the recent past.

Normal situation, everyone was scared to buy = then the manipulator drove the price higher. Now, again, it is scary to buy as the price has given +100% from its low. This is how the market has worked and will continue to work. Same thing would happen if we saw a 50$ price tomorrow = everyone would wait for 20$ and the price would go back into the 200$ range.

You can look at the full history of the SOL price chart to see that SOL had an impressive growth season in 2021. Currently, SOL is also very popular due to the price increase from 8 USD to 200 USD and bringing profits to investors who continued to believe in SOL during the crypto winter of 2022. Unfortunately, I didn't have enough faith to DCA SOL, I chose to DCA BTC because BTC is a safer asset than SOL.

You see, we often only focus on price volatility and rarely care about the quality of the Solana blockchain, because even if there is a problem with Solana, we can still easily buy and sell SOL on CEXs.

Solana may have the potential to fall even cheaper because currently Bitcoin is still quite expensive and when the halving is complete it will cause the price of Bitcoin to collapse. I am sure Solana will be affected by the price of Bitcoin so that the price of Solana will fall further.

The stagnation of BTC price after halving is a recognizable pattern in history, but I don't think SOL price will be affected too much. Currently, SOL price is still well maintained above 120 USD and has not fallen too deep from the 210 USD peak created in mid-March.

SOL potential is still very strong as restaking may switch to Solana after bringing strong developments to the Ethereum ecosystem. I am still waiting for a new ATH of SOL in this uptrend.

Solana should be better now and there is also good news with Solana's application to the ETF if Solana's application to the ETF is accepted it is not difficult for Solana to pass the ATH the community's trust in Solana is getting stronger plus with the ETF it is certainly very easy to create a new ATH.

Solana ETF approval wouldn't mean a big thing for Solana unless the applicants of the ETF has start buying all the sol they could get their hand on. I remember some months back when Bitcoin ETF was approved, there was some kind of miscommunication with SEC which resulted into Bitcoin manipulation and when it was later approve, people weren't buying the hype until Black rock and some ETF applicants and Microstrategy were buying Bitcoin weekly and the price began to move, that's how they got the interests of the people.

Solana need whale and not just anyhow whales but people ready to push the project into the mainstream and not this meme coins that are spamming the network the way they like.

The launch of spot SOL ETF will be an opportunity for traditional investors to access SOL more easily, meaning that we will have more inflow into this market and create buying pressure on SOL on OTC and CEXs, thereby supporting SOL price very well.

If spot SOL ETF is approved, I believe that FOMO will take place and push SOL price higher before we see the growth of trading volume or inflow into the spot SOL ETF.

In my opinion, pushing the price of Solana may not be that hard because it has been proven that Solana has reached a price of $250 in just eleven months without any good news about Solana.
We all know that the community of Solana is very strong and the ecosystem of Solana is almost all owned by someone who prioritizes the community.

Inflow is really important, but I think FOMO has a bigger impact on SOL price increase in the case that SOL Spot ETF wil be approved. The same thing happened with BTC when BTC Spot ETF came out and created expectations and optimism in the entire crypto market.

Currently, we are still waiting for news related to Sol Spot ETF, it seems that the negative news related to the Solana outage has been forgotten by the crypto community. SOL price impressive increase has made it easier for everything to be accepted ^^

I also think that the positivity that spot SOL ETF brings to the SOL price chart is even greater than the direct impact from inflow. The success of spot BTC & ETH ETFs will become the basis for investors to continue to expect strong growth in the SOL price after we have a SOL ETF.

Currently, we are all waiting for more information, and the community's attention is still focused on spot ETH ETF trading. Negative news about Solana is no longer important at this time. The goal of investors is to invest and make profits, not to assess the strength of the blockchain.

It will interest you to know that crypto whales are wild. They put their money into something they know will be valuable tomorrow and Sol will become one of the sort out coin just the way Ethereum was having it's own bad times. As you can see, many people are already buying into the news about the potential ETF, the approval will make it become the most tradable assets like Bitcoin and ether.

I think if they are to lost coins with high recovery this season, Sol is going to be among the top ten performing coins and it can do more if the allegations of FTX doesn't recurr frequently like the way Mt.gox is doing to Bitcoin right now.

The entry of large investment funds has helped Solana recover impressively and the SOL price has grown extremely strongly, making the Solana ecosystem more vibrant even though it is no longer supported by FTX. Money flow is still the factor that has the strongest impact on the ecosystem and token price, and SOL is the clearest example.

Currently, I am also very optimistic about the future of SOL with the spot SOL ETF or uptrend taking place in the next few months. The FED's rate cut event could be a major driver for us to have altseason, and SOL will be one of the tokens that will increase the most in price!

I believe that until the Solana blockchain truly resolves its POH stability issues, discussions about Solana outages and the crypto community SOL investment sentiment will continue. This topic will remain valuable for us to discuss together.

Currently, it is encouraging that Solana is still performing well and has not caused the crypto community any further concern. This stability should be maintained throughout the uptrend to ensure that users do not encounter any problems when participating in the Solana ecosystem, and to help Solana compete with other strong blockchains in the market such as Ethereum L2, Ton, Avalanche, Near...

Multiple large investment funds placed their trust in SOL and invested in it during the crypto winter, and they reaped significant profits from SOL strong price increase. Rising from the ashes of FTX, SOL has revived and become even stronger this season. I hope that with the great love for Solana, you will receive great profits and SOL will not disappoint you!

As for me, investing on Solana with continued system outages may give some doubt and could lead to investing very little.
It not good for a popular platform to continue experiencing system outage, it has the tendency for users to misinterpret the situation and could be termed an inconsistent blockchain platform. I don't think that Solana network is the biggest blockchain network that will be having many outages. The like of Binance smart chain, Etheruem networks, Tron chain, etc are all great platform that has been running continually without interruption. Solana team has to look critically to its system and possibly do constant upgrades to end this ugly situation to guarantee investors confidence.

Despite the bad news surrounding Solana, the SOL price has still seen impressive growth and brought profits to SOL holders. The same is not true for many other native tokens, even though their blockchains have been running smoothly for months or years. This means that technology and stability are just one of many factors that impact token price.

Of course, investors can choose to invest in good blockchains and tokens on the market instead of worrying about the future and stability of Solana. Each person will have their own criteria for making decisions, similar to SOL investors who are willing to accept risks in exchange for the opportunity to profit from the development of the Solana ecosystem during next uptrend.

SOL is still a good option as there's a huge potential in SOL, TBH there are some rumors about the SOL ETF as well but still, these are just rumors, and TBH, I'm sure in this cycle there will be no more ETF except the BTC and ETH which are already trading. SOL is over-valued for the small investors but if you are willing to take some risk and more potential rewards SOL is a good option.

You can't compare it with other high-potential projects in my view AVAX still has a lot of potential and some others I won't mention here. SOL is good to fast and cheaper, DeFI is expanding, and after ETH SOL can handle it on a better node.

We are just in the market recovery phase and are entering an extremely large uptrend, so everything may progress extremely quickly and exceed our expectations. I wouldn't be surprised if a spot SOL ETF appears this season.

Each investor has their own expectations for the tokens they hold. If SOL is expected to rise to 500 USD this season, then price ranges below the 2021 ATH ~ 250 USD are still attractive for investment, especially as the Solana ecosystem is growing strongly thanks to massive inflows and many strong trends such as memecoins and GameFi.

Perhaps you’re a strong Solana supporter and have chosen SOL to trade and accumulate for this uptrend. I think you have enough market experience to make your own investment decisions, so I’ll just present my viewpoint.

I really like Solana, especially its strong recovery when it no longer had FTX’s backing. I also have SOL on my watchlist, but if I invest in SOL or any other token in crypto market, I would always be ready to take profits in April or November 2025 as that could be the peak of the entire season. Holding is a good strategy, but cashing out at the right time to optimize profits is even better!

Hmm, AVAX is a worthy competitor but for the TRON I think it's not worth it, now TON is evolving, In the recent bull run of SOL there are some rumors that now again getting started to play a marketing role, maybe you've heard of SOL tested the fasted TPS on test net 1M transaction per second. TBH it's on test net still SOL is the fastest blockchain. As testnet machines are just for testing it has nothing to do with the mainnet so as currently they are able to process 1 to 2k almost transactions maybe be near future they will be able to hit a higher number with some upgrades, honestly still expect something below 15k.

Furthering your investment in Solana sounds like a great idea that many people are happily doing because of the way Solana has shown good signs of price movement this year.

Just this year, Solana has twice top BNB in market capitalization. That simple act means that the future is bright for Solana, it can top BNB before the end of this year, profiting its investors

My mining on helium network is cheap cost.  But I stack and hold a year at a time.

I made good money cashing out when I did.

If I mine, for a year my cost is 100 usd in power I will likely  earn less than 2,coins maybe 1.7

If solana is 200 next July I will cash out.

I was lucky when I converted my mining IOT. Into Solana.

IOT was worth more and solana was under 100. So I did well.

Talking about network, I think not only with Solana network got shuts down but also other network faced shuts down such as Binance Smart Chain, Polygon and Bitcoin with block confirmation taken more longer time than usually and pay higher fees for transaction.
That problem with network not make many trader or investor won't investing their money in bitcoin or Solana coins regarding how potential for growing up in the future.
Solana still most profitable altcoin for investing right now how increasing price drastically and last lower price under $123 without few weeks success recovery and Solana break to $192.

TBH, we should always avoid fake marketing bubbles haha like putting up a narrative that, ohh buy SOL now otherwise you'll lose a lot as OL ETF is on the way haha you should never buy such marketing strategies, as in my view the ETF"s are limited to BTC and ETH at least in this cycle it's impossible for another ETF. TBH in SEC's view sol is still security.

SOL is good project, its good to make an investment but after a full research, haha because our motive should be to become a good investor.

It's true that other blockchains besides Solana have experienced issues, but not to the same severe extent. Their networks have only slowed down, fees have become significantly more expensive, or errors have occurred during user transactions, rather than completely shutting down for hours as Solana. And as you've pointed out, the prices of their native tokens have still risen as users continued to use these blockchains to generate profits, or simply because they held the tokens believing in their future price appreciation.

Despite the issues related to Solana's stability, SOL remains an attractive token for investment as it has generated enormous profits for holders in the past. With the trust of users and the vibrancy of its ecosystem, it's not difficult to imagine SOL reaching a new ATH this season.

The question of whether to invest in Solana (SOL) after repeated network outages depends on how much confidence an investor has in the network's ability to resolve these issues, as well as their personal risk tolerance. Solana has experienced multiple outages over the past few years.

I think it is just an issue, there is no popular networks to be shutting down. We still need all the networks because we will have the alternatives for sending crypto coins. It includes Solana network, I think it will last a long time. Regarding SOL, it already give people enough profits because it already increased quite well during this year. SOL becomes one of the most favorite coins this year, it is because many new coins are created in Solana network. FYI, currently SOL could cross $200.

It's amazing to see SOL price break through 200 USD! This shows that investors still have a lot of faith in Sol and are using it regularly. They're not too worried about a few hiccups here and there. What really matters to them is Sol's speed, low fees, and popularity – it's the perfect platform for them to make a profit in this market.

With BTC hitting 80K USD, I'm really hopeful that SOL will follow suit and hit a new all-time high in the next few months. That would be a huge psychological boost and attract even more investors to Sol!

it is only a matter of time before the altcoins follow bitcoin we might see a correction first with bitcoin but let’s be optimistic in the next following weeks that it will reach $90k soon just always be prepared to take advantage of these times

This project is really crazy, indeed yesterday the price dropped drastically. but during this uptrend, the development of SOL's price is really fast, there is no doubt about this one project, especially its development that makes investors increasingly enter Solana.

not only the price has increased drastically until now it is at a rate of $ 213, but also the success of Solana overtook BNB, this is an extraordinary thing again, their competition is very tight and BNB must be more careful to be able to seize SOL's position.

SOL has truly succeeded thanks to the large influx of capital, allowing it to recover after the FTX debacle. It has also leveraged various methods, including Web3 phones, memecoins, airdrops... to make a spectacular comeback despite once being considered an abandoned project on the verge of oblivion. Ultimately, investors still prioritize profits and are willing to accept any technological limitations and stability issues. Additionally, the Sol #DevelopmentTeam  has done a great job keeping Sol running quite well over the past few months.

The competition with Bnb will make Sol even stronger. BNB has the backing of Binance, while SOL is supported by a vast number of investment funds and a massive community. I wish both tokens success in the marketcap race!

I think that solana is one of the best profitable crypto in cryptocurrency market. But sometimes we notice some unexpected things in solana network. But i believe that within a short time solana will come back fully confidence in cryptocurrency market. If we follow in cryptocurrency market we can see that solana price is increase day by day. Because we also know that bitcoin price is high level in this time. So we also believe that within a short time solana achieve recovery the process in cryptocurrency market.

That's why this Solana is one of my choices, which is a good work of dca little by little because it also goes along with the rally when there is an increase in value in bitcoin; if you really observe it, it will also go along with the rise, and you don't want to be left behind.

So even until now I am saving it; as long as I have the opportunity to save it, I actually do it to buy, because I also have a goal of when I want to sell it,
and once that even

Another thing I'd like to add is the fees, that are cheap, and of course cheaper than ETH
The combination of cheap fees, fast network and memecoins has attracted a lot of money from new crypto users
That's very cool to see and note

Unfortunately, ETH is a bit scary for those new to the crypto world or those starting out with little money, as paying more than 5 dollars for a contract, or 10 at peak times, doesn't make much sense, so SOL looks good to be an entry point for newcomers

Sol has proven its superiority over Ether in terms of high speed and low fees in the previous season. This is precisely why many users have come to experience and stay in the Sol ecosystem, they save on transaction fees and can purchase thousands of meme-tokens with the money saved.

The only issue with Sol is its instability, and sometimes the network will go down if there are too many users at once or if an infinite loop error occurs. However, investors are often easily satisfied as long as they are profitable. They are willing to accept this instability to invest and profit from SOL and many other tokens in this ecosystem :)

Just yesterday I was doing some operations and positioning myself for some Defi protocols, I had to do at least 10 to 15 transactions on SOL's network
3 times the transaction failed, which hardly ever happens on the ETH network, but I waited about 10 seconds and tried again and it worked
That's the price you pay for cheaper transactions in SOL

If I made these 10 transactions on the ETH network I would have spent at least 30 dollars (contracts and swaps) and on SOL I spent around 3 dollars max  :D :D :D

This is quite unusual, we haven't heard of any such severe bugs on Sol before. I'm not sure what the cause is, but normally people can use Sol easily and quickly without facing any failed transactions. Hopefully, the Sol community will have an announcement about these issues soon.

Perhaps the market has warmed up and more users have come to Sol as the SOL price has surpassed the resistance level around 200 USD, so the Sol network is being overloaded and causing stability issues. This makes me worried about the possibility of another outage for Sol in the next few days :(

Well, Solana is the main blockchain that meme coin lovers use on daily basis and that's expected to see such load on it. As we all know that this cycle is mostly considered as Meme cycle where previous one used to be called as Defi one, and that's why there's chance that we may see more load on Solana network in coming days.

Some transactions on SOL's network do fail, it wasn't an outage or any other major problem
Several times when I make transactions on SOL, the transactions can actually fail

But it's not just the SOL network, a few times a week my Metamask transactions with EVM networks also fail for various reasons

I encountered a similar issue with BSC during the 2021 uptrend, but it was quickly resolved. I'm not sure if Sol is facing the same problems, but I hope the Sol team is aware of this issue and has a plan to address it promptly before the uptrend.

It would be a shame if users couldn't fully utilize Sol's potential when they actually need it for their personal purposes! A few possible causes I can think of:

1. Crypto wallet errors
2. Token smart contract errors
3. Blockchain network errors
4. Internet connection errors

Indeed. Solana network develops well due to the popularity of meme coins during this bullrun season. As long as there are many meme lovers use Solana network, it will always develop well in the future. I'm not sure whether it is meme coin era or not, but meme coins are quite popular nowadays. Since this is the fact, I guess you point out that there is no way that Solana network to shut down. It is just a too speculative statement that Solana network to shut down.  :D

The Solana network is doing very well this year, and there has been 100% uptime for the last 90 days. Furthermore, it is worth noting that the last incident was only in February when the Solana network stopped producing blocks for about five hours due to a glitch. This means that the Solana network has become much more stable compared to previous years.

Yes, Sol has become much more stable than before, and this confirms the #DevelopmentTeam 's ability to manage and upgrade the network. Currently, users can rest assured using Sol without worrying too much about stability, at least until a problem becomes so severe that it causes Sol to have more outages.

However, history has shown that the price increase of SOL is not related to the stability of the Sol blockchain but only depends on the vibrancy of the ecosystem with many DeFi, GameFi, NFT, memecoins projects. Investors can easily recognize this and continue holding SOL to a higher target.

If I base my answer on the title, I would still buy sol if its liquidity pool in the market is still high, which means that when that happens, many people still believe and trust solana, right? And of course when its liquidity is low, the risk is also quite high.

Let's just use common sense, look at what happened to terra luna even though the exchange was closed but its native token still remained in the crypto market because at least there are still traders buying it.

We shouldn't compare Sol to Luna because Sol is still operating with high performance and hasn't been involved in any scams. Sol is not the platform of FTX. Meanwhile, Luna is the platform for UST and the native token LUNA was also involved in a fraudulent algorithmic stablecoin model.

The difference is also easily seen in the token price: SOL has created a new ATH and is very popular, while LUNC has almost no chance to succeed like LUNA in 2021. It can be said that Sol may not be absolutely stable, but investing in SOL is still very promising for investors.

The Solana network is indeed stable, but as described above, how can we detach the development of its ecosystem that expands with new solutions and strong community backing? The sustainability will be achieved by developing an action plan to increase the network’s availability, as well as offering proper solutions for its users. This is the best time for us to intensify our call for technical advancement that will help keep Solana relevant and viable.

That is why in the state of volatility we have to balance certainty by the potential which has already been demonstrated. Hard work in nurturing the ecosystem and passion in innovative ideas can be the main driving force in moving SOL to new level. By the increased technical capacity the element of value will be improved not only in terms of a speculative platform, but in a practical context as well.

I love Sol but it's hard to conclude that Sol is truly stable because we still experience outages and users face failed transactions. Additionally, Sol's ecosystem is filled with memecoins and lacks good projects in bigger trends like DeFi, GameFi, NFT, which worries me even though SOL price just hit a new ATH.

Clearly, investors are overlooking the technical limitations and ecosystem issues to invest in SOL seeking profits from its impressive price increase in the uptrend. I hope SOL price continues to rise and proves to the market that truly valuable projects will continue to thrive!

Investor take benefit how increasing price of SOL after success hitting new ATH, I don't think behind problem with network congested some time but right now all network have problem take longer time for confirmation of transaction needed. Seeking profitable by investing Sol coins seems easily than other coins after have huge problem when FTX bankrupt and Solana coins dump drastically and nowadays success hitting new ATH price.
Interested for investing at solana coins because have many success solana meme coins right now increasing high price and bring impact for Solana reach to higher price.

It's very easy to look back and think that it's easy to profit from SOL because the SOL price has dropped significantly, creating opportunities for investors to buy SOL at a low price and make a profit now, but when the SOL price was below $10, many investors did not dare to buy more SOL, and some even sold SOL to invest in more memecoins or fan tokens.

Sol is surviving strongly thanks to memecoins, I hope it will have more big trends to have a diverse and vibrant ecosystem, ready to join and explode with many big trends this season. I think users can accept a few failed transactions but will not be able to tolerate outages that last for many hours, Sol devteam still has a lot of work to do next year to accommodate tens of thousands of tps from users.

~snip~
If you are SOL token investore, I'd like to know your views on Solana and SOL:

  • Did the Solana incident impact your decision to invest in SOL?
  • Are you really bothered by the failure of the Solana blockchain?
  • Do you believe that in the uptrend in 2025, the SOL token price will still grow and will not be negatively impacted by Solana blockchain outages?
~snip~
1. Looking at the current price of Solana, I am still convinced that Solana will buy at least 10% of my total capital into Solana coins.
2. I feel very disturbed if the Solana blockchain goes down, because the problem is related to the funds I have, if I have 0.2 Solana transferred to a friend and the Solana blockchain goes down at that time it will be very dangerous.
3. Many say that 2025 is the peak of BullRun, the same as your principle. If that really happens, then the Solana coin should also be able to reach a new all-time high again, maybe at least the price of this Solana coin is above 520 dollars.

This is just my personal opinion, if I had free funds then I would use this principle to buy Solana coins.

SOL has reached a new ATH of 265 USD, confirming that a new ATH has been set. We know that a few outages can't diminish investors' love for Sol :) The fact that you want to allocate 10% of your capital to SOL is the clearest evidence of this.

Typically, Sol outages last for a few hours and don't have a significant impact on investors. For DeFi users, this might be a bigger challenge as DeFi requires constant movement of funds between participants. We hope that in the 2025 uptrend, Sol will operate stably and avoid any further scandals related to network instability.

That's one of the reasons why I only use 10% of the total capital to invest in Solana because my position if I were Bitcoin maxis or Ethereum maxis would definitely hate something called blockchain outage, the problem is if I trade on DEX with various Solana coin pairs with tokens A, B, C on the Solana blockchain then Solana blockchain outage, it could be that on that day I immediately lose money. Scary isn't it?

Typically, Sol outages last for a few hours and don't have a significant impact on investors. For DeFi users, this might be a bigger challenge as DeFi requires constant movement of funds between participants. We hope that in the 2025 uptrend, Sol will operate stably and avoid any further scandals related to network instability.
Are you sure Solana was down for just a few hours?

I googled and found that Solana had its blockchain down for about 19 hours, which is almost a full day of Solana coin blockchain down.

Yes, that's right, the influence is on DeFi, Dex or Decentralized-based platforms will definitely experience severe anxiety because the blockchain going out will definitely make us panic. Moreover, this crypto fluctuates very quickly.

Solana outages weren't supposed to happen, and that's a “big” flaw that a billion-dollar blockain couldn't have, I agree
However, the risk for us ordinary users is that we have positions in DeFi and if the market turns abruptly while an outage is taking place, we are unable to place more collateral or redeem any positions

If you try to send some coins, or are using a DEX, what will happen is that the transaction won't be completed, but you won't lose any money in that situation

I thought like this at first because the money turnover in Solana coins is very large, if this happens continuously it will be a serious problem for Solana coins.

However, the risk for us ordinary users is that we have positions in DeFi and if the market turns abruptly while an outage is taking place, we are unable to place more collateral or redeem any positions
Well, here it is also seen that we also lost our profits from DEFI, the point is if the Solana blockchain outage is certain to result in a lot of losses.

If you try to send some coins, or are using a DEX, what will happen is that the transaction won't be completed, but you won't lose any money in that situation
Maybe this is one of the things that can be anticipated because when sending coins on DEX, it is certain that they cannot be sent or are stuck due to the Solana blockchain outage, even though we do not lose coins, what is certain is that this is also our loss from the effects of the Solana blockchain outage.

Sol has a novel PoH mechanism and easily achieves a speed of 60k tps, which is truly impressive in the context of Eth and Bsc facing many scalability limitations in 2020-2021. Unfortunately, PoH still has many issues and cannot become completely stable despite being updated and upgraded many times over the past few years.

A large ecosystem should be operated on better and more stable blockchains, but the market and investors still choose Sol, which means they believe in the future of SOL. I hope that Sol will become better, and at the same time, SOL price will also increase strongly to represent the community's trust in this project.

SOL has had a few outages, but even ETH went through a serious problem when it forked to ETC, and yet people continued to use ETH

It seems that SOL is the strong network for this cycle, and just as there have been many attempts to take down BTC and ETH, many networks will emerge and have already emerged to compete with SOL, but it needs a lot to overcome, and I don't see that happening right now for any other network

A striking comparison between Ethereum, BSC and Solana coins. Let's try to compare for a moment with my simple knowledge:

1. As far as I know, Ethereum has a solution when the transaction is not stuck but the fee used is very expensive and finally those who understand how Ethereum works create a system called Ethereum Layer 2. Like Arbitrum, Optimism etc.
2. BNB if I'm not mistaken used a coin with the BEP2 blockchain system but it was not perfect, it only lasted a few months and then switched to Binance Smart Chain or BEP20.
3. Solana, according to you, has a Proof Of History or POH system which has the fastest coin delivery rate of around 60,000 times per second but has a problem if Solana's blockchain can die or go out.

My question is, will Solana one day launch a system like Ethereum to become Solana Layer 2?
The goal is so that there is no blockchain going out or dead blockchain.

The advantage of high speed, low gas fees, and most importantly, the profit from the strong price increase of SOL has made it easy for investors to accept the limitations of Sol's stability. This seems to contradict our expectations for the strength of blockchain, but it fits the current phase when investors are only focused on profits.

Sol was extremely successful and famous in 2021, and it has made an impressive comeback in 2023-2024. Sol has many potential competitors like Sui, Apt, Ton, or Eth L2s, which will be a significant motivation for Sol to continue to improve itself and become more stable in this season.

If I see that its liquidity is still high and the community that believes in sol is still high, why not? Because we see that there are still many who trust it, that means that what traders believe is that there may still be demand happening in its market.

Just like the example of LUNA which is now LUNC, even though Ftx has disappeared, Lunc still remains on various exchanges in these instances, that means lunc has still achieved the requirements volume until now. And there are still investors or traders who are holding it at the moment.

The price increase of SOL shows that investors are still focusing on the profits that SOL can bring, which doesn't depend too much on Sol's stability but only on the large FOMO of other investors.

LUNA has failed but it still has a chance to exist on many CEXs because it provides revenue for CEXs in the form of user transaction fees. Although LUNC still exists on CEXs, I would never invest in it or recommend others to invest in a deadcoin.

And also, because investors see how the progress of the Solana project is still ongoing and growing. And, their professional team that never stops developing the project, this is what makes investors increasingly believe in Solana and makes them hold their money in this coin quite well. The hype of the SOL project has been around for a long time, but now, it's the turn of various meme coins to create hype on the Solana network, and this is what also greatly boosts the development of the use of the Solana network which continues. that's why it is undeniable that Solana's market cap, especially on DEX, is very high. and for the profits themselves, it is actually quite profitable for investors who hold SOL until now and of course in the future.

The fortunate thing about Sol is that it has the best and most dedicated devs. They chose to stay and continue developing Sol instead of leaving to seek better opportunities in safer projects during the crypto winter after FTX collapsed. Their efforts have given many SOL holders more confidence. Sol may not be perfect, but it's becoming more stable every day.

More importantly, institutional inflows have helped SOL make a spectacular recovery, and holders have made significant profits from their faith and love for SOL. The memecoins trend may have been a lucky break for Sol, but luck only comes to blockchains that are capable enough to support millions of memecoin transactions seamlessly.

Well said, very well said, speaking of institutions helping Sol, like I did mention on another thread just a few minutes ago, there are speculations flying around that Sol might get it's Spot ETF approved by the Sec - This is not a new news, it has been around since Ethereum spot ETF got approved, so, alot of people then believed that Solana coin will be the next in line after ethereum, I believe alot of investors still believe in this and are investing heavily in Sol before the ETF comes.

And like you said, projects on the Solana blockchain have also contributed its quarter in the price progress of Sol, but I think it's not that much compared to ETF speculations.

And let me say that the network outage on Sol is no longer a factor that investors consider at all, as I believe that some of us must have seen times when the blockchain experienced a major network outage, yet the coin didn't lose 1% of its value, Sol investors have grown above looking at sol's network outages as a sole criteria to decide whether to invest in Sol or not.

The price increase of SOL and the possibility of a spot SOL ETF are attracting investor attention, with concerns about outages quickly being overlooked as optimism takes over this market. I hope this situation will continue and we will see SOL at a higher price, for example, 1K USD, in this uptrend.

However, I hope the Devs won't rest on their laurels. The Sol network should continue to be improved to avoid incidents when the network reaches its speed limit. Outages at the peak could be a direct cause exploited to dump SOL price in the 2026 crypto winter.

Yes, the developers of Solana worked well. They keep developing Solana project from years to years. They are quite active and communicate well with the holders. Sure, this makes the holders/investors to feel more confident with Solana. Anyway, I don't think it is more stable but it is more increasing.  :D

Meme coins trending makes Solana be more popular. SOL should recover or reach its new ATH soon. SOL looks increasing very well during this year, it must be one of the best altcoins in this bullish season. I hope it can be $500, it will be great new ATH for SOL. Do you think it is possible, mate?

I'm looking forward to more major trends on Sol, not just memecoins or NFTs. We need stronger pillars for the ecosystem: DeFi, GameFi, RWA, SocialFi... The Sol ecosystem was once very vibrant during the 2021 uptrend, but unfortunately, the crypto winter has severely damaged the ecosystem and only a few projects have been able to continue until now.

SOL's ATH in 2021 was 260 USD, I think 500 USD in 2025 is too modest a target for SOL's strength and the huge amount of funds from investment funds backing it. I'm not good at technical analysis, but I like round numbers, so I hope SOL will reach 1K USD in 2025. If SOL can conquer higher prices, it will be even better for its investors :)

The adoption rate of Solana which actually contributes to its price increment is very much improved by the meme launched on it's network.  Solana is still in its hype era and that's part of the reason you see many meme coins being launched on it's network. Price movement is directly relatable to liquidity and the more people that either purchase Solana directly or by purchasing meme coins , the more liquidity we will have on the network.

As at the time of me writing this post, solana seems to have experienced a little pull back but is still currently holding up a nice price . Anyways compared to a couple of other altcoins it's still doing quite okay.

We can't deny the role of memecoins in Sol's excitement and SOL's price increase. Many other blockchains also support memecoins like Ton and Avax, but they haven't been able to achieve the same strong price increase for their native tokens. This means that Sol has been chosen by the memecoins trend, and the SOL price is strongly supported by this exciting trend.

Technically, millions of memecoin transactions have verified the stability of Sol after the latest upgrades and bug fixes. We can be confident in Sol's stability during the uptrend, and investors will have less to worry about FUD related to outages.

Have many meme coins with solana network success right now and looks smooth for SOL network transaction around last several months ago. Since last longer time with Solana network conguisted and take around several days before back to normal right now never have any problem with Solana network.
I think memecoins trend and more popular at Solana have never problem with network delay or take longer time to make transaction, in the future seems Solana will be more popular than other network behind how many investor interested with solaan memecoins.

I am surprised at those who are very confident in investing in Solana coins because considering that Solana coins often shut down the chain but Solana supporters still continue to support it. I am also surprised that Solana's market cap is increasing day by day and I even see on Coingecko its value beats BNB's market cap.
If I were given Solana coins for free, maybe I would hold and my target might be that Solan could reach 3,000 dollars. This is a long-term target and I will save it on DEX for staking or farming. Remember, this possibility is if I am given Solana coins for free, not I buy it myself with my capital. Cheersss

People used to be very worried about Sol's outages during the crypto winter, but in an uptrend, everything becomes more positive. The positive aspects are fully utilized for promotion and price boosting of the token. The influx of funds into Sol and the rise in SOL price confirm that investors are only concerned about profits and the network's instability has little impact on their investment decisions in SOL.

When you own SOL and make a profit from it, you tend to quickly sell to lock in profits and protect your assets. Currently, SOL is below 300, and it's really difficult to hold SOL until it reaches 3K.

So, in your conclusion, Solana is worth fully supporting, right?
1. When winter comes, everyone is afraid to buy Solana coins, plus the blockchain is shutting down.
2. When Bullish like now, everyone is rushing to buy Solana coins, so the price goes up.

When you own SOL and make a profit from it, you tend to quickly sell to lock in profits and protect your assets. Currently, SOL is below 300, and it's really difficult to hold SOL until it reaches 3K.
Are you serious about Solana reaching $3,000? What factors could drive the price of Solana coin up to $3,000?

The last incident on Solana's network was in February, the only time this year that the network has a major outage, during almost 5 hours
Before that it was February 2023

As I've said a few times, it sucks to have incidents on a network, but it's improved a lot and today it's a stable network, I wouldn't say that's a concern for anyone who transacts on SOL's network

Thank you very much for the link to track Sol's health. The Sol team is still successfully maintaining Sol's stability, ensuring the explosion of the memecoins trend and driving SOL price to a new ATH. This is truly a great success for Sol, and we can continue to trust the current team.

If Sol can maintain this stability throughout this uptrend, it could be chosen by large organizations for asset tokenization purposes. That would be a huge opportunity for Sol!

I think the blockchain being down for 5 hours is very long because all Solana coin transactions will definitely be stuck and cannot be sent. I think this incident will happen again if Solana does not immediately improve its technology that it has and is developing.

Block production on Solana mainnet beta resumed at 14:57 UTC, following a successful upgrade to v1.17.20 and a restart of the cluster by validator operators. Engineers will continue to monitor performance as network operations are restored. The outage began at approximately 09:53 UTC, lasting 5 hours. Core contributors are working on a root cause report, which will be made available once complete.

What you said is true, it took more than 5 hours for the Solana Blockchain to recover from the outage, this is very worrying and I hope this incident does not happen again in the next day because as far as I know many other people say that 2025 will be Bullish.

We've witnessed many outage events on Sol in 2021 and users have gradually gotten used to it when using Sol. As long as the SOL price continues to rise, investors will become extremely lenient and accept the ongoing development for Sol.

However, from the perspective of applying blockchain to businesses, five hours is too long and it can affect the operation and image of a business. No enterprise would dare to risk testing this, and governments would also reject such an unstable service.

If you are SOL token investore, I'd like to know your views on Solana and SOL:
Did the Solana incident impact your decision to invest in SOL?
Are you really bothered by the failure of the Solana blockchain?
Do you believe that in the uptrend in 2025, the SOL token price will still grow and will not be negatively impacted by Solana blockchain outages?

1. No, they wouldn’t necessarily lead me to not to invest in SOL entirely. I know there will be issues on the blockchain, cos not all things are perfect..

2. Nope

3. Yes, I believe it will grow and will become stronger, but of course there will be ups and downs.. You see the solana has become a hub of memecoins, and sooner or later it will take on other niches, like AI and more.

I do, I am aware of Solana shut downs and recently the one that happened to SUI, despite the shutdowns I am invested in both. But, it's only for profit purposes, I won't be in for long.

I understand this, and it's completely normal because most investors just want to make profits from the crypto market rather than caring about the future or the real potential of blockchain. As long as SOL and SUI continue to rise and make holders rich, many other investors will also invest in them despite the instability of the blockchain and the risks arising during outages. Even investors who are too cautious and too focused on technology can miss out on big opportunities like SOL and SUI.

I believe they are a solid community because they are able to continue to support the Solana coin and continue to trade it, even though Solana's position in 2021 is not profitable because it often Outages but Solana fanboys cannot be underestimated to continue to support the Solana coin.
Maybe because Solana on DEX also provides many benefits and I often see on the Coinmarketcap website that the most trending for DEX is in the Solana DEX section such as Raydium and ORCA, if I had a little Solana capital maybe I would try trading on Raydium DEX.

However, from the perspective of applying blockchain to businesses, five hours is too long and it can affect the operation and image of a business. No enterprise would dare to risk testing this, and governments would also reject such an unstable service.
Moreover, Solana is said to be applying to ETF for Solana coin acceptance, but if the fact is that Solana coins often Outage, it seems that ETF will reject it. Or maybe Solana has been approved by ETF? Do you know this information?

Sol has a large community since 2021 thanks to its high speed and low fees, so it has the opportunity to rise from the ashes of FTX. Not every project can make such a spectacular comeback, Sol is a special success case!

Sol Devteam cannot submit a spot SOL ETF proposal themselves. This can only be done by large funds in the US market. Instability issues do not affect its chances of being approved in the future. I think the SEC will consider the demand for trading SOL-related assets from traditional investors to make a decision.

I tried to find information about Solana coins and found information on Coincodex which resulted in over 65,000 in a single Solana coin transaction, a very large number considering that Bitcoin only has 3 TPS. Cmiiw
https://coincodex.com/article/24666/solana-tps/
Not to mention the collapse of the Solana coin after FTX went bankrupt so that the Solana coin dropped to around 13 dollars and recovered until now it has passed the price of 223 dollars.

I just found out, I thought I was the core team of Solana who submitted to the ETF, but it turns out I wasn't.
Who do you think submitted Solana to the ETF? Do you know who it is?

In theory, Sol can process 65k tps, but most of those are internal validations, not just actions of transferring tokens from one account to another. However, that's already enough to serve the community demand.

Currently, Ton has become faster than Sol as Ton can operate at a speed of 100k tps, or Hydra can even reach 1M tps :)

As far as I know, Grayscale, VanEck, Bitwise, 21Shares, and Canary Capital have all filed applications for spot SOL ETFs. I hope they will be successful in 2025.

Oh My God, I just found out that TON is very fast, exceeding transactions from Solana and breaking through 100,000 TPS, it seems like I have to find valid information about this extraordinary TON transaction.

Hydra?
I have never heard of the Hydra coin, is it a coin that comes from the Ethereum network? or does it have its own blockchain?

It turns out that there are already many cryptocurrency companies that have submitted applications to this ETF, maybe your hope will also be the same for all of us so that the ETF can accept Solana coins in 2025.

Ton is very famous for the Tap-to-Earn trend, you should learn about its ecosystem so you don't miss out on this season's opportunities :)

Hydra is Ada's L2 and it has reached a speed of 1M tps in testing conditions but it's also enough to provide Ada with a speed of 134K tps. Ada's ecosystem is quite poor but at least it has beaten Sol and Ton in terms of speed.

I don't have much SOL, which is a pity because I rejected it at prices below 10 USD or below 20 USD then below 50 USD. That doesn't stop me from expecting a spot SOL ETF, it will be the news that triggers FOMO in the altcoin market and we will soon enter altseason.

That's right, I was also there at that time when the HAMSTER airdrop project was famous, I think this HAMSTER project is not only me who is affected by the hype, because I noticed in every reply to the altcoinstalks forum post, almost all senior members registered for this HAMSTER airdrop. Not to mention my friends in the real world also followed the HAMSTER project. But the most painful thing is that the rewards that were worked on for almost more than 3 months only got the value of one French fries, this is clearly painful.

Hydra is L2 Cardano with 1 million TPS.
Cardano is L1 with 134,000 TPS.

Okay noted , I will remember this information from you . Thank you.

If you bought Solana coins at a price of 30 dollars, maybe now you would have made a profit of more than 900%. Sometimes in cryptocurrency trading it always takes courage and luck, isn't that right?

Not's success has attracted many people to join Hmstr, expecting to gain large rewards like Not. Many people even invest hundreds of devices with automatic features that continuously tap on the screen to earn as many points as possible. Ordinary players will not be able to compete for rewards with them, resulting in the disappointment of many players.

I'm quite regretful for missing out on the opportunity with SOL when I lost faith in its future as SOL's price dropped significantly after the collapse of FTX. Fortunately, I chose to believe in BTC and have made a profit of about 100%. Declining to take risks with SOL also met the risk management criteria that I always respected and practiced at that time.

Ah yes, that's right, I remember that, NOT is the driver of everything because it started from NOT, everything followed suit until HAMSTER was like that. I also saw on Youtube that there were so many people who used many devices and bots to keep tapping the screen and I thought those devices and bots were active continuously for 24 hours non-stop.

Our community is also in the same position as you, when the price of Solana was below 30 dollars, everyone was afraid and waited until the price was only 1 dollar and yes, that's right, we here also prefer Bitcoin to HodL rather than Solana, which at that time the coin price continued to fall to around 13 dollars.

Investors often have extreme fear when the market is in a boring and slow accumulation phase. This prevents us from accessing and taking advantage of many new opportunities in the market, and regret always exists because we have hundreds of tokens with impressive price increases at any given time.

SOL will be a valuable lesson and because it has recovered, it will have a solid position in the market rather than just a worthless and forgotten token after one season. I even believe that with its strength, Sol will exist for a long time and develop stably like Eth.

I am invested in Solona and will continue to invest in it.
Surely the best Idea is because solana has good potential because things are going on we can expect some good profit for investors. Because the team has the best goals that they are heading and if they are able to achieve them then we can bring good profit for it. However, all funds should not be invested together because the investor is always important to have multiple coins. We know that the altcoins worlds was never easy to predict and we were giving good advice from the first days of the way. We should invest the amount of money that we can easily accept the losss.

At least we now understand what Vitalik meant: in a crisis, the best people stay with Sol and continue to develop the project instead of leaving and seeking other ecosystems. And they succeeded, they brought Sol back impressively with a plan revolving around memecoins!

Currently, we are also waiting for more news about the spot SOL ETF. If it is approved this year, the big party for SOL will officially begin. I hope that we will not have to experience any more Sol outages this season!

It is quite disturbing, the issue with Solana network's incessant outage, The blockchain is quite a technological fit but the issue of outage is a serious cause of concern to investors, developers and enthusiasts. In my opinion, the outage is cause as a result of insufficient network infrastructure that breaks down during period of high traffic.

To answer your question OP,
- Yes, the Solana network incidence impact my investment decision.
- I'm greatly bothered by the network failure because many of the times I will be like this network can be shutdown anytime.
- Let the team improve their network infrastructure. Solana is a great tech, I believe it will trend with the rest of the market irrespective of it current bottleneck.

You can temporarily rest assured as Sol has become more stable and hasn't surprised the community with any recent outages. This reaffirms the quality of Sol and the value of the Sol team's efforts.

The memecoins trend has cooled down on Sol and the network is no longer congested, users can now enjoy high speed and low fees as usual. Let's look forward to further development of the Sol ecosystem this year!
