This thing really ho far oo, omo but many people been actually get the whole thing wrong because the thing wey sup sef e no really dey related to binance being blocked by the Nigerian government, me I feel say na due to the rate rate at which the naira was falling against the dollar and the way P2P merchant and other black market dealers being dey exploit the situation so the government thinking that there are doing their very best tried to regulate the high price accumulation even when the value and cost hasn't or have paid increase more than the original price.

The government should rather blame themselves for the devaluation of naira, instead of targeting those who are capitalizing on the government's failure. Devaluation of naira didn't start yesterday, rather has been a long term problem that the past two presidents has refused to resolve. No merchant would take advantage when things are well in place.

The government no go ban access to Binance o, I just feel say them wan participate in am by taxing every body wey dey use am. We dey hear of them wanting to regulate am for a long time and also because of that case brought against Binance US, but I know say them just dey wait make more countries like the U.S begin use am well despite the way them shine eye follow Binance,  before them go legalize am or adopt an for here fully.

Country men, I really think there is a little hidden scuffle going on between the Nigeria government and binance. I believe all these happening now are as a result of the Nigeria government call on binance to furnish them with details of Nigerians registered on binance and possibly their transaction history as to know how much money they have been making from their trade and maybe to start taxing transactions as it relates Crypto trading on binance.

I literally could log into my binance app this evening to do anything. Maybe binance is possibly working on something or so because I believe binance would never make such mistake of losing Nigeria market to pressure instead they reach agreement to do business as usual with the government because they know what they stand to lose of they choose not to play along.

Nevertheless all these tit for tat between these two elephants is just to show who has the supremacy to hold each other to ransom. I believe this whole thing triggered when the naira devaluation was getting worse as a result of the epileptic  economic and financial policies implemented by the jagabans in the helms of affiars.

Thanks for shearing your idea. All these things that the government do are things that affect the economy and increase a high cost of living in the society.
We just hope and pray that it will be better one day and everything come back to normal.

Its so unfortunate to see how things becomes hsrd and though in the country,  hardship everywhere and the government is just doing nothing to end all these rather they are making things even more tough for the citizens.
Blocking Nigerians access to binance won't reduce the rate at which naira has fallen to dollar, the government should play their key role on our economic aspect so that things will be light for the citizens.

The Nigerian government don't really have plans for the country or should I just say that they have misplaced priorities. I still don't know the reason for trying to stop the use of cryptocurrency. The government has also made it clear that bank accounts with traces of crypto transactions should be blocked, any transaction containing any crypto related term in the description would be automatically blocked, this is actually very concerning but no matter what happens People will continue using cryptocurrency in Nigeria. The government has failed the people, after not been able to provide jobs they want to restrict people  from what puts food their table

Well, it is quite discouraging that the government has not deemed it worthy to fight against unemployment, but rather they are after banning the use of cryptocurrencies. To the many people in Nigeria it has become a source of income considering the high levels of unemployment. That is why the actions taken such as freeze or report of banks with transactions linked to cryptocurrencies only aggravate the situation. They will certainly keep on looking for how to engage in the utilization of crypto due to the numerous benefits that many people have received especially during hard economic times. I thinks that the government has to be more careful in setting the policies aimed at helping the population.

Crypto currency have nothing to do with our devaluation of naira and poor economical growth. The government are completely clueless, and are looking for so many excuses which cryptocurrency happens to be one of them. When someone don't understand the value of a thing, then the person won't appreciate it in any way. But in the case of our government, they understand/know the benefits of cryptocurrency, but still won't allow it to help the masses that are enlightened. Maybe they just enjoy the current situation.
Regardless of their stance and opposition towards Bitcoin, they won't still be able to stop it's adoption because cryptocurrency is more of a internet money, and the government is never in charge of the internet.

It's just disappointing to see a government that openly speaks of and enjoys their lack of support for the masses by implication.. Just as you talk am, no be say them no know the benefits e go give their supposed people (because I wonder if them get another country wey them dey take care of based on their doings for we 9ja)..
Maybe crypto no dey favor them or them wan use am punish person (all this one I just dey assume because there has not been a tangible reasons), talking about bad economy, is it not disappointingly dissatisfying how it is just an obvious come back of their inability.
Thanks heaven since them no dey in charge of the internet, na 2 dey careful Sha..

I sometimes see them as monopolizers(if there is any word like that). I.e they enjoy something, and don't really want others to enjoy same thing. don't be deceived, some of these government officials have some digital assets in their possession. How will crypto favor them when they are not willing to embrace and give their full support. Or are there further selfish reasons that isn't favoring them more, which has made them decline the use of cryptocurrency?.

Incase you don't know, one of the biggest fear of the government is for the majority of the youths to be financially independent. Because if the youths are financially independent and satisfied with their basic needs of life, then it will take extra effort for the government or politicians to mislead them or use them as fighting instruments.

Cryptocurrency in Nigeria was already serving as an escape route for the youths to uplift themselves, until the government figured it out and started doing everything in their power to stop it, or make it very difficult for the community.

How would they have plans for Nigeria when the derive joy in looting the country treasury, it is unfortunate that we keep having the same people with the mindset in the helm of affairs of Nigeria, I think Nigeria don't want to grow in terms of technology am saying this because a country that want to grow technologically will not want to frustrate technology settings instead they they will embrace it and figure out how it will help their economy, Nigeria is still far from the present day  reality, many countries has embraced digital asset like bitcoin for a very long time and they have been able to understand the usefulness of the technology thats accompanied with it, many countries has been generating tax through digital asset, is no longer a news but instead Nigeria is busy making things difficult for the existence of the said asset.
The thing is that it is impossible for them to totally frustrate Bitcoin and cryptocurrency generally because people will always have alternative means of scaling through their unsupportive sanctions of crypto related stuffs

I think, we have to understand that there is a big difference between having a "president" and having a "president who is a head". In the case of Nigeria, we definitely have a president, but is he acting as a head?, Well, that's a question for you to answer. Take El Salvador for example. Their president (Nayib Bukele) is literally acting as a president and also as a head. Most of the flexibility in terms of regulation that Bitcoin gets in El Salvador were implemented by him. He is not just young, but as well up-to-date with current happenings. President Nayib Bukele knows very well that the world is fast growing beyond the old financial system.

I even sometimes watch videos of how Bitcoin enthusiast teaches El Salvadorian students in class about Bitcoin, Lightning network, Bitcoin mining, how to perform transaction, and so many other things. But here in Nigeria, parents are charged heavily to buying textbooks, whether it be necessary or not. I even doubts if majority of those in power knows what Bitcoin is aside the general fact that it is a money. We really have a long way to go as a country.

We get many things wey be the problem of the country but that one no concern them they want put eyes for the street success.
The situation which you have described is quite typical to the level of volatility, which people in Nigeria experience. It is human nature to be confused when the leader in charge is always shifting from one stand to another or there are shifts in the leadership’s stand within a short time. This brings about a sense of inhabitation in formulating for the future, and therefore most individuals settle for living narrowly with.posts repairs and reactionary mechanisms. Those governments that time their policy announcements with confusion or ambiguity make the situation worse as it becomes risky for individuals to invest or save towards their future.

But the fact that governments are busy with things that do not effectively solve the problem indicates a lack of fit of what the people want and what the leaders offer. This kind of restlessness brings many people to the idea that the tasks which should be more focused and discussed extensively including security, economical issues, and their people’s well-being are not paid much attention. It causes individuals to seek other ways of sustaining themselves other than those afforded by “organization”, such as “street success”. Therefore, there is an urgent need for the authorities to pay close attention to this case in a way that the policies they implement depict what the larger community needs and expects.
