Title: If Bitcoin collapses, will Altcoins too?
Post by: bayu7adi on September 30, 2024, 01:31:04 AM
We always associate bitcoin and altcoin every day, because these two elements are what fill the cryptocurrency space into a very colorful space...

Some agree that the two are related, and some agree that the two have different concepts....

So, what if Bitcoin suddenly collapses, will altcoin also follow in Bitcoin's footsteps?? Show strong reasons why you think so!

I think that you will created an excellent topic and post in this threads. Because we know that bitcoin is one of the best valuable crypto in cryptocurrency world, and altcoin is also a best profitable crypto in cryptocurrency world. We know that this twice crypto currency will spread in all crypto currency markets. So i believe that if bitcoin price will be down or collapses, then altcoin price will be collapses. Because wr know that bitcoin is world king crypto in cryptocurrency market. So every crypto currency will be depending on this crypto.

Why not, easily for altcoin get crash if bitcoin collapses because the following altcoin price behind of bitcoin, every moment when bitcoin going down under 5% only have potential for altcoin get crash more higher than bitcoin until 10% or 15%. I don't sure any opportunities for altcoin keep dependent without following with bitcoin price one day later if bad possibilities happening for bitcoin such as get crash or collapses?
Nowadays we see altcoin easily get down when bitcoin correction only few percent, but seems difficult with bitcoin will get down or collapses because bitcoin have individual holder.

I am assuming that you are talking here on the collapse of the price and not the technology behind Bitcoin, right? And in that case, there is a strong probability that altcoins will be following the lead of Bitcoin...there will be a big crash once something bad will happen to Bitcoin. But I am not worrying on that all because BTC has this ability to rebound immediately...the problem will be on the side of many altcoins as they make take some time to recover, Now, in case there can be a big crash then it is time to PARTY and buy more BTC. I am hoping this will be happening soon...maybe BTC getting into the $0 zone so I can buy Bitcoin without any money (just kidding and fantasizing, anyway).

So, what if Bitcoin suddenly collapses, will altcoin also follow in Bitcoin's footsteps?? Show strong reasons why you think so!
if bitcoin collapse and not just some temporary dip, most investors could lose interest in altcoins but it is possible that it might not happen immediately because if bitcoin collapse investors might find other cryptocurrencies to hold their money in after taking it out of bitcoin but once they see that bitcoin might not bounce back they might all panic and think that altcoins are next

since bitcoin is basically the standard, if it collapses there will be no more trust in other altcoins the logic will be ‘if bitcoin, the one that is supposed to be the most secure and reliable, collapses then most likely altcoins who are not any better than bitcoin will surely collapse as well’.

I agree here.
If BTC falls, all the foundations will be skeptical about going into other coins in general.
Because that would be too much of a risk and a liability for them.
But, of course, it won't happen, in my opinion. BTC is too good and big to get it into - collapse - state.

If bitcoin is collapsing, altcoins will not only follow, all altcoins would have become trash before bitcoin will finally collapse. This is because as bitcoin is falling, altcoins will be falling. But altcoins markecap are small and this will make people to sell them fast and heavily than bitcoin and they will all collapse. But generally speaking, I do not think bitcoin can collapse.

Bitcoin is considered THE market leader in crypto. If it collapses, it can trigger panic selling. Crypto owners may sell off their altcoins, too. I think altcoins with strong technology, active #DevelopmentTeam s, and real-world use cases may survive. Their prices may take a nosedive, but they could recover.

I do think they all will lose most of their charm for investors, though I think this "apocalyptic" type of scenario is very unlikely.
And, as you said - some, of course, will live on, albeit in a new reality with less confidence and funds in the crypto overall.

I think so. We always used to see that the entire market is being topped by Bitcoin. SO, if the time comes and Bitcoin collapses then most of the altcoins will be too. Some stables might recover or contain that collapse but this is far from happening. I don't want to sound too confident about it but Bitcoin seems here to stay and for the meantime while everyone is looking forward for Bitcoin to reach its peak for this bull run, that's what it seems about to happen.

As we know Bitcoin is the most popular large cryptocurrency. And altcoin is the second most profitable crypto in cryptocurrencies after Bitcoin. Cryptocurrencies together with Bitcoin and altcoin have created an eco system through which people are making money through trading, investing, holding. If Bitcoin collapses from the market it will certainly affect the altcoin market and many altcoins will lose their value. We can sometimes see that with any bad news in the market when the Bitcoin market collapses, all news immediately collapses the altcoin market. So if something happens to Bitcoin in cryptocurrency, it will definitely affect altcoin.

Maybe a doomsday and when there's no internet for a year or two then that's very likely that the network of BTC will collapse and the alts will follow.
But are we going to see that? rich companies won't allow that to happen when they're running their cloud servers which means they require internet to continue their business operations, so it's true that it's unlikely to happen.

Altcoin index is strongly affected by the Bitcoin price, so if the Bitcoin price collapses, the Altcoin index will collapse, and therefore most Altcoins will collapse and lose their value to a greater extent than Bitcoin. Some Altcoins will not collapse and some may make gains, but these will be Altcoins/tokens that have low market cap, and therefore investments of $10,000 to $50,000 will affect them and lead to their rise.

I think it is true that bitcoin and altcoin are related, if the price of bitcoin goes up then the price of altcoin also goes up because bitcoin is the benchmark for all coins.. but if the price of altcoin goes up then the price of bitcoin does not follow its price, but bitcoin also needs the support of altcoin so that with the existence of altcoin bitcoin can develop like this.

It is unlikely that BTC will collapse just like that, because too much money has been invested, and this means that there is huge support from ordinary people, and not so long ago also from large investors. However, if we imagine the situation when something like that would happen, then altcoins would definitely experience a heavy blow, because most of them have no purpose and sense, and in an unprecedented panic, they would probably disappear in a bloodbath.

The only question is whether someone would appear who would manage to position one of the more famous alts as the successor to BTC in such a chaotic situation. However, BTC is the only truly decentralized coin, and it is impossible to find a replacement - such things are actually in the domain of science fiction.

You notice that anytime bitcoin gets dipped, altcoins also follow the trend too? Because I realised that anytime bitcoin gets dumped, altcoins also follow and get dumped. That is why I can also suppose that if bitcoin collapses, there is a possibility that altcoins will also do the same thing. Although I know that it will be something difficult to happen, just in case it happens, I believe that is why it will be the result.

Further, another thing is that if this thing you are saying should happen, then altcoins will not follow immediately. There are some altcoins that investors will still choose and invest in their money because, in crypto, investors always come to pump money into some coin, so there are some coins that investors will still choose to invest, even though it may take much longer compared to bitcoin investment, but I believe there will still be some coins that people will invest in.

Bitcoin is superior to every other Cryptocurrencies and many of them move with the Bitcoin trend, that's why you'll notice that when Bitcoin price goes up most potential and good Alts goes up and when it dips they also fellow same trend so I believe that if Bitcoin collapses it could mean the end of cryptocurrency cause it is superior to every other cryptocurrencies and many of them depend on it's price to add value, that's why there's a saying that when the head is cut off, every other parts of the body suffers and that's just it. People should understand that as the most outstanding and most influential Cryptocurrency, several other Cryptocurrencies are dependant on it and if it's successful they'll fellow suit and if it collapses they'll also do same and so far that's how it's been in different Bitcoin circles.

Bitcoin is the first cryptocurrency and from its inception it has stands out amongst the rest of the cryptocurrencies till date. Every coin has their own peculiarities and what tends to trigger them in both directions. Generally, base on demand and supply of a coin has a significant influence in n its price. But bitcoins impact is always felt in this coins also and that is why during the bull and bear season of bitcoin, they immediately follow that trend irrespective of what tends to trigger that particular coin in time.

Interesting question here. It's true that we've associated Bitcoin with altcoin alot in the crypto space, and we've also attributed the price movement of Bitcoin to the price movement of altcoins as well. Well, I will say that if Bitcoin happens to collapse today, there is a very huge possibility that so many altcoins, if not all, will collapse as well.

The reason is because, whatever happens to Bitcoin is already enough cause to push people to selling any altcoin in their possession. And when the majority sells due to fear of what has happened to Bitcoin, then most altcoin might end up dead as well. No one will like to be on a losing side, so they will have to sell at that moment.

Yeah.
There's no other way that the entire internet will be stopped on that moment in result of stopping the whole bitcoin network. It is unlikely to happen but we are in the uncertain times and we will never know what's going to happen. Billionaires are even building their bunkers in preparation of what? seems like another war or maybe a doomsday.

OP, I think you should know that altcoin leverages on the existence of bitcoin and if bitcoin fails to exist, altcoin too fails to be valuable and as a matter of fact would go on extinction. What is the conviction that if bitcoin the father of cryptocurrency and with how  sophisticated it is, collapses,  all other crypto would still be in existence? the answer would be near to nothing because bitcoin was the first cryptocurrency to have existed and currently leading the crypto market in every aspect of it.

Bitcoin existence gives investors the confidence they have in investing in crypto  project and irrespective of the nature of the project, bitcoin has a strong superiority over them and if by any means anything happens to bitcoin, it affects the others because it is assume that for bitcoin with such a good reputation to shake, altcoin can likely not withstand it so they would prefer selling off than holding. This is the reason why you see that whenever bitcoin decline in price, it affects other cryptocurrencies.

Yes, if not, how could the entire internet network in the world go down simultaneously if there was no extraordinary cause. Surely because there was an event that was so extraordinary that it made the world seem to collapse, a natural disaster that was really great and simultaneously destroyed the world's internet.

And if this happens, let alone thinking about Bitcoin assets, just thinking about being able to live might be very grateful because if this is a disaster and we can only focus on our lives, not on other things, but as long as we can still live and we feel grateful for it.

With my little knowledge on Crypto assets, it is clear that anything that results in BTC fall either in any aspect thereby affecting it's price will simultaneously affect that of altcoins even more severely.
It is clear that BTC is the backbone of all Crypto assets and it is among the price determinants of Altcoins. BTC executes a vital role in the Crypto world and whenever you talk about Crypto to a layman, the first thing you hear is BTC.
BTC has been the King of assets in the Crypto world that there is none other to compare.
If anything happens to BTC or unfortunately terminates it's existence, there'll be no Altcoins to stand in place of it, if they would even be able to still exist without BTC.
In other words, it can be simply stated that whatsoever happens to BTC, will correspondingly have a great effect on Altcoins.

I'm wondering which group disagrees with this? Yeah different and better technology or utility as their marketers/shillers would usually say but deep in their thoughts, they still understand that BTC is the King. They are probably the same people who wants alts to decouple so bad but could not do much about bitcoin's grip on the entire crypto market.

It can be concluded that the existence of Bitcoin is truly a definite reference for the entire cryptocurrency ecosystem... there may be an exception for USDT or some stable coins, because maybe that will be the last coin as a place for everyone to exchange it into FIAT...

Everyone here does not want this nightmare to happen, just Bitcoin is still standing, I think that is something enough for us to be proud of, even though the price sometimes fluctuates and does not match what we expect.

Bitcoin is relatively stable for me and has always been a reference in investing in crypto. I never thought bitcoin would collapse, because when bitcoin collapses, altcoins will likely also plunge. And discussing stable coins, I only use USD when the market is down, I will save my crypto assets and convert them to stable coins.

USDT are digital dollar backed token or coin and as such are not affected because they are stable coin and pegged at a particular price different form the rest of the other digital token or coin.

The thought or idea of bitcoin crashing or going into extinct is what we can not afford to face because there would be lots of commotion everywhere as to what and why such is happening all of a sudden.  It is better not thought of than seeing it happen.

Firstly, crypto market is always an uncertain place. Anything can happen on market. Its true that many people has different concept but i think that if btc crash altcoin also follow the way. Btc always lead tge market. Some are think that if btc on stable altcoin might follow its way but i think mostly its not happen. If crypto market has negative news it will impact to all the project. Nevertheless as i said crypto is uncertain field we can face anything happen here,What we do we can jist predict nothing else.

Despite the fact that Altcoins are centralized and some people are there to claim the ownership of of the project, they have no full control over its price movement which only bitcoin and the current trend can determine.
If Bitcoin collapse as you are saying, then altcoins will also follow suit because Bitcoin is like their pillar that determine their value. Bitcoin can not fall completely, but if it happens, that means it is the end of cryptocurrency in general because no one will value anything cryptocurrency again.

Exactly. Bitcoin happens to be the most popular among all with a massive market cap and adoption rate. Even those people who are not into crypto might have possibly heard of Bitcoin, which shows how popular and influential it has been, and can be to the other cryptocurrencies that are available in the market. If anything goes wrong(which we don't hope for), then it's a game over for project founders.

If bad possibility for bitcoin get collapses not doubt the era or cryptocurrency have been over and altcoin will following with bad happening to bitcoin. Easily example when bitcoin correction easily for altcoin how dump drastically and can't imagine bitcoin collapses not sure yet how many altcoin left keep existing.
Altcoin price always following with bitcoin and we can easily for predicting if bitcoin collapses or not have values any more how bad possibility for altcoin? wish the bad possibility with bitcoin collapses not really happening yet because many people depend their income from cryptocurrency.

I will assume you are new to crypto else this is not a question to ask, it's not even a debate but something everyone has observed already with crypto market. A move up of Bitcoin price is a move up of altcoins but not most of the time, but if Bitcoin cough today, many altcoins will catch cold and fall because Bitcoin control all of them.

Today that news was announced that Iran and Israel are sending bomb to each other, we can see the price or Bitcoin nuke and many altcoins ar bleeding already and reacting to the news. If Bitcoin didn't move, no altcoins will suffer this bit because Bitcoin control all of them is the reason why.

Bitcoin price is always a reference for altcoin, because bitcoin is always king. Hearing news about the war between Iran and Israel will certainly affect the global economy, and hopefully it will not be a bad thing and make this cycle fail due to global economic conditions.

Some agree that the two are related, and some agree that the two have different concepts....

So, what if Bitcoin suddenly collapses, will altcoin also follow in Bitcoin's footsteps?? Show strong reasons why you think so!

But there are some altcoins that are completely unaffected by Bitcoin... like the recent events, where the conflict between Iran and Israel turned out to make the Bitcoin market experience a little shock, but some altcoins, especially meme coins experienced movements in the opposite direction to Bitcoin. Many coins are red, but there are still some that are green too... meaning there are some points where the reason Bitcoin experiences price movements, does not affect some altcoins...

For real proof, please compare it yourself on cmc or coingecko,,you will find some there

From your analysis, I could say that altcoin in general is not that popular as Bitcoin because anything that has a global effect on the economy affects Bitcoin which of course is what we are currently seeing right now. Altcoin can be affected when the pressure is beyond the normal market scope in either a positive or negative direction. Memes have no utility value unlike others and I would not be surprised if the current situation has no effect on it because nothing is attached to it to add more value to its existence.

As of today, if we assume that bitcoin is going down zero for whatever reason then I am 100% sure that it will be the end of altcoins too because they are depend on bitcoin and any movement on the price has immediate effect so if it comes cease to exist then it will be the same for dependants too but in the next 5 or 10 years things might have change and who knows there will be some coin that can overtake the bitcoin in terms of adoption.

Yes, and when I mean yes, I mean the effect will be felt worldwide almost immediately.
A sudden collapse of Bitcoin will make massive fear towards the investors and this will cause a chain reaction towards them, and they will just immediately sell their altcoins even though at a loss just to be out and still have some money. We know that most of the altcoin's price movement depends on Bitcoin so if Bitcoin goes down, it will drag most if not all altcoins.

Realistically speaking, will this ever happen? There still a chance, but I believe if there will still be people that will support, use and buy Bitcoin, I don't think that this will happen.

Bitcoin is the first cryptocurrency coin and holds a market cap of trillions of dollars due to which if Bitcoin collapses it will have a huge negative effect on the entire crypto industry. and then if the price of Bitcoin goes down by 5% then other altcoins go down by 15 to 20 percent. so if ever bitcoin collapses or the price of bitcoin completely crashes then the entire crypto . industry will collapse. not only that, but most of the altcoins will be completely destroyed then

Indeed, we must took that cryptocurrency is now dominated by Bitcoin as a leading virtual currency. Bitcoin’s price defines or influences almost every other altcoin in some or the other manner. If Bitcoin collapses to zero, it will wipe out the confidence of the market in all other digital tokens and is the largest financial calamity to have ever occurred to it, let alone altcoins. It is because, as the original establishment is the market leader in the crypto industry, people associate Bitcoin with reliability. Since most altcoins rely on anticipation and additional technologies built on the blockchain, the widespread largely depends on Bitcoin, and its collapse maybe fatal to the entire market as well.

We cannot rule out such changes that might happen in the future all together. The crypto market is also fluctuating, andBlockchain technology is also evolving. Perhaps there will be other coins that could dethrone Bitcoin as it happens now, but with nicer features if they exist or more effective solutions. Such as coins with lower transaction fees, even better scalability or even stronger institutional backing.

Some people may not like to accept that the collapse of Bitcoin will really affect cryptocurrency in general, but I have the opinion that if Bitcoin were to collapse, the trust that people have in cryptocurrency in general will be affected, and because this trust is affected, it will be extended towards other cryptocurrencies because people will no longer believe or trust in it as something to invest in or to focus on as the one claimed to be the most reliable has failed. If bitcoin collapses, cryptocurrency will go down with it, even if not immediately.

As far as I know, Bitcoin is the native coin of all altcoins, all Bitcoin steps between up and down are certainly followed by changes owned by altcoins.
This morning I saw local news that Bitcoin went up all altcoins went up too but when Bitcoin went down then all altcoins went down including Ethereum which dropped more than Bitcoin went down. Most altcoins are traded for bitcoin which means you can only buy or sell them using bitcoin. You can usually observe the same action on the altcoin price chart when the price of bitcoin falls. Moreover, since the price of altcoins is below bitcoin the dumping of bitcoin causes a crash in the altcoins market. However, there are many strong altcoins whose dumping charts are less visible. But since Bitcoin has an independent holder, it won't easily collapse. We don't identify with this issue today because it has been proven several times that the result of dumping of bitcoin goes directly to the altcoins market.

can't we also make the opposite version?? where when Ethereum turns out to have high interest until its price soars, it turns out that the price of BTC tends to be quiet... that means if the inflow on altcoin is greater than Bitcoin, what happens is ALTSEASON where the price of BTC tends to be opposite to the price of Altcoin...

I can say that for Bitcoin it can also be like that, if only the attention of most cryptocurrency investors is focused on Bitcoin, most likely, migration can also occur from Altcoin investors to become BTC investors... here the prices are opposite, and altcoin cannot be said to be completely dependent on BTC at this moment.

While that may be true, we should also take note of certain exceptions, it's true that other digital currencies rely on the performance of Bitcoin, and if Bitcoin is to go down, surely it'll affect the performance of other cryptocurrencies. But I think there are a few coins that may have exceptions, examples are those tokens that are pegged to a country's native current, like the USD Tether which is pegged to the US Dollar, and the performance of this token is dependent on the performance of the US dollar and not Bitcoin, so even if Bitcoin is to go down, I believe it'll have little or no effect on the price of USDT.

Altcoins are supposed to be independent from bitcoin, and this simply means that, if bitcoin collapsed, the Altcoin market is supposed to keep standing strong.
But unfortunately, the crypto market is still relatively young and the Altcoin market is still very much dependent on bitcoin and it's growth.

As it stands now, if bitcoin collapse, the Altcoin market will likely collapse too, atleast for some time before notable developers will starting rebuilding their projects to see if there is any way they can revive the project without the presence of bitcoin.

The major reason why I think that the Altcoin market will also collapse is because, bitcoin is still dominating the entire crypto market, and it's the most trusted crypto currency. If bitcoin collapse, it will be catastrophic because, 95 percent of those currently in crypto, even several prospective crypto investors will lose their complete trust on crypto, you will hear people say things like, "if a whole bitcoin can collapse, then crypto assets aren't to be trusted again", and this includes Altcoins.

It's a yin-yang situation of sorts, capital flows from alts to BTC and vice versa, you are totally right - if one doesn't get enough attention, then the other sure does get it from everybody involved.
They are both in the same market and affect each other, as it was said, BTC is the bastion of crypto.

Since the discovery of Bitcoin, various types of coins have emerged. Bitcoin is the only digital currency that is fully decentralized and the cryptocurrency with the largest market capitalization in the cryptocurrency market. That is why the impact of this coin is more than other coins. Other coins generally depend on this coin to monitor market conditions. When Bitcoin decreases as the price of other coins decreases. If the Bitcoin price increases, the price of other coins also increases. Bitcoin has trading pairs with other coins and the liquidity of this coin is much higher than others so all coins are normally depend on this coin.

I don't think if Bitcoin value turns to zero is what you really mean. But base on my experiences in the chart, the price movement of altcoins is influenced by Bitcoin. When Bitcoin goes up, altcoins will follow. This doesn't mean that altcoins and Bitcoin have the same chart, it's because they have different volatilities. However, it will never happen the price of Bitcoin will turn to zero.

The only thing I know about the movement of Bitcoin is that it is also the movement of other top altcoins in the market. Now to the OP's question, if Bitcoin is going to collapse, the question is, has Bitcoin really collapsed?

Then second, what is the reason for the collapse of Bitcoin? And if it ever really collapses, I don't think the majority of the top altcoins will also collapse if Bitcoin ever collapses, just in my opinion.

Altcoin movements always follow bitcoin movements, assuming that then the answer should be known to us. But this is just a question that I personally do not see bitcoin collapsing.

Even now bitcoin has more enthusiasts, many people have switched to choosing to invest in bitcoin, so this is something very good. especially since we all believe in the potential of bitcoin.

No doubt if Bitcoin collapses then Altcoins will crash. Though there is a hogher chance that an Altcoin will slowly recover and will be the investors new bet and they are willing to support that specific Altcoin though not as Bitcoins replacement but could be investors new favorite as an investment that if Bitcoin collapses.

Well in my honest opinion I believe that if Bitcoin suddenly collapses altcoin will also collapses as well
One is due to the fact that Bitcoin is the most popular Bitcoin and it basically holds a little above 50% in cryptocurrency market so if it fails people will definitely loose trust in other cryptocurrencies and begin to withdraw for them
And aside that the market performance of altcoin is slightly influenced by Bitcoins performance so if it crashes there's a high probability of altcoin crashing as well

I guess you meant to say if the market experiences a dip? If yes then that's correct. Bitcoin remains the king of the crypto market and most times we see how other coins falls dip whenever Bitcoins price drops and not all of them are able to recover even when we are back in the blues. Well there's not must relationship between Bitcoin and other altcoins as Bitcoin provides a much more trusted system than most altcoins. A trusted system in the sense that I can hold for a very long period of time without bothering about the dips. But I won't even think about trying that with altcoins.

If bitcoin collapses I think altcoin will also collapse and it will take a long time for altcoin to rise again, because so far altcoin has always followed bitcoin, but if one day there is a coin that replaces bitcoin as the king of crypto, the possibility will be different. but until now bitcoin is still the king, so it will be the center of crypto currency.

I think altcoin will follow bitcoin but to some limit as according to my information shared by one of my local community members that bitcoin did drop to a few thousand dollars on one exchange due to high selling or low liquidity problems but it came back to normal price quickly did not cause a huge dump and panic the exchange was not a famous one that's why.

So if bitcoin collapses on big exchanges and the news spread like fire the alts will also dump and eventually most of them will be zero but the ones with real use cases might stay longer in the market but the chances for such a collapse are lesser.

Bitcoin is like the main coin in crypto industry. If Bitcoin will crash, there should be big impacts on altcoins. However, will altcoins dissapear if Bitcoin disappears? I think there is a chance that altcoins will stay although it is not a big chance. We can't deny that Bitcoin has a big role in crypto, but altcoins don't fully rely on Bitcoin for their future. Each coin has their own way, has their own function, and has their own advantages. I don't think altcoins have no power to exist when there is no longer Bitcoin in crypto industry.

Bitcoin is the first cryptocurrency coin and almost all popular coins have trading pairs with it, which is one of the reasons why altcoins fall with the price of Bitcoin. And there are other reasons that when the price of Bitcoin falls, most investors fear that the market may crash, which is why they convert their investments into straddle coins, which is why there is a volatility in the entire crypto market.  And the prices of all coins keep falling. Because everyone believes that if Bitcoin falls then other coins will not be able to survive in the market

I think USDT is not an altcoin but a stablecoin, so even if BTC goes down it won't affect it, even if btc  is worth 0 one day USDT will remain at its value because it doesn't affect Bitcoin.
Yes I’m fully aware of the fact that USDT is a stablecoin, but still, I prefer to classify any coin that’s not Bitcoin to be under altcoins because USDT is still a digital currency that’s pegged to the United States Dollars. And yeah, even if Bitcoin drops to zero (which isn’t possible) the price of USDT would still not be affected.

USDT is always an option when bitcoin and altcoins are down. I also agree if you say USDT is an altcoin because altcoins are coins other than bitcoin even though they are stable coins because there is no provision that says stable coins are not altcoins.

We can say that USDT is an altcoin with a stable price when paired with USD... the thing that is behind USDT is USD, that's why its value will always be more ideal for 1:1... because if we buy USDT at a price that is more expensive than 1 USD, it certainly makes us lose more, because the price of USDT does experience small volatility, maybe only up and down 1 cent...

ALTSEASON will also not affect USDT too significantly, so it is true that USDT is an altcoin that is equivalent to USD FIAT.

Naturally. The market would have plummeted down the hill if such a thing would have happened. But I don't see that even as a possibility, because BTC is too credible and big for such a thing to happen to it.

Yes and one thing about these type of altcoins is that, while other altcoins are uncertain and highly volatile, it's serves as a safe haven for investors during times when the market is highly volatile, even for a few Bitcoin investors are wish to avoid a potential dip, it can allow them to temporarily exit Bitcoin by keeping their funds on a stablecoin while still monitoring the market's performance. And when they perceive a possible green light in the market, they can go back to investing on Bitcoin.

USDT can be a save pillow for some, and it's the king when you stake things both just on CEXes or on pools - because of the volatility not going crazy while you are doing it.
It's not a high-reward type of deal, but it's stable and always available for everybody.

Bitcoin is very mandatory for the market. So, no doubts, its collapse will cause similar processes with other coins, especially with those, which don't have any real value
Is Bitcoin really mandatory
What if in the next few years Ethereum were to surpass Bitcoin for some reason ( I'm making an assumption)
Do you still think that the fall of Bitcoin will affect Ethereum

Due to USDT’s stable nature, it’s been considered to be a pretty attractive option for risk management, because it give investors the leverage against market volatility and dips. Not to talk about it’s acceptance, accessibility and availability which also makes it very convenient for investors to access and run to whenever they wish to liquidate any cryptocurrency.

Yes, it’s true that USDT doesn’t offer mouthwatering returns when staked like some other assets do, but at least it’s very stable and also provides a reliable reward.

I wish more people would think about it the same and the fact that it wouldn't bring that much profit in the long run. Overall, USDT can be spent on anything that's good for you in your own eyes, BTC, big alts, anything.
There are some pools with lucrative APYs, though they are more risky than just going on CEX or a DEX if you are scared for the assets to be stolen/frozen.

At this point, if BTC encounters any issues, ALTs will also be significantly impacted. If BTC grows, ALTs will grow very strongly, and if BTC price drops significantly, ALTS price will be divided by 3 or 4 times compared to the current price, and even many projects will permanently disappear due to a lack of target market.

However, I think we don't need to worry too much about this risk right now, because BTC price has been supported at $60K and is ready to do something really great this Q4. We should be thinking about a new ATH instead of worrying about negative scenarios that are unlikely to happen.

I don't understand that you assume Bitcoin is mandatory. Bitcoin is surely the main coin, it is like the mother of all crypto coins. However, it doesn't mean altcoins can survive without Bitcoin. Altcoins have their own ecosystem, altcoins have their own market. I think altcoins can survive although Bitcoin disappears. As long as we have exchanges and crypto market, altcoins will be there to trade by any people around the world.

You should know that Ethereum is not a decentralized currency so it’s not possible for it to surpass a coin that is decentralized even if it’s just an assumption.

Bitcoin has a lot of value and so much importance when it comes to crypto ecosystem and also has a very huge dominance over other coins so if it falls other coins will fall due to people rushing to sell off all the other coins or token they possess.

Alas, I've read too many posts on Bitcointalk about ETH "surpassing" BTC even to consider such an event, simply due to how much skin people have for one coin and the nature of another.
For it to happen, there should be something monumental done in ETH, otherwise, it's just impossible.

I don’t follow Ethereum update that much but the last one I can still remember because it was being discussed everywhere was the Merge where Ethereum was moved from proof of work (PoW) to proof of Stake (PoS) which made it even more centralized than it was before.

It’s going to take years of continuous development and a massive change in the Ethereum network before it will come close to the current level of bitcoin in terms of the cryptocurrency ecosystem - and before it gets there bitcoin will definitely also get some development.

Currently bitcoin is still the king of crypto currency so it seems like without bitcoin, altcoin will disappear because the movement of altcoin follows bitcoin. but I do not agree if bitcoin suddenly falls and is no longer valuable, altcoin will also disappear. because now people have begun to understand crypto and the usefulness of altcoin. I think altcoin will still exist even though the price is likely to fall because there is panic when bitcoin falls in price.

Well, For altcoins to be sustainably effective, the groups and/or individuals behind particular altcoins must seek to improve their communities’ products and services to fit new market demands. This can be achieved through enhancing network security, extending the use cases of blockchains and partnering with sectors which could otherwise benefit from crypto technology in a general sense. Secondly, investors should also consider undertaking further analysis on the altcoin of their choice based on the project associated with the coin, the team behind the project and chances of the project being adopted in the long run. If tackled correctly, altcoins have the potential of establishing a healthy value proposition apart from Bitcoin as well as contributing to industry advancements in both existing and emerging areas of the digital economy.

I don't know what the news is but I see all Fan Tokens on Binance have gone up.

I agree with you. If Bitcoin disappears altcoins will remain because other altcoins have their own ecosystem. But in terms of prices, it will have a big impact on altcoins if Bitcoin disappears. Bitcoin have a great influence on the price of other coins even though investors do not directly invest in alts when they make it in Bitcoin. That's the reality we can see in the price that when Bitcoin goes up, the alts go up too. That's why there is a tendency for crypto to fall when Bitcoin is gone.

How possibility with altcoin keep existing when bitcoin get collapse, many time when bitcoin get down significant most of altcoin become shit coins have drop drastically. Bitcoin is the main of cryptocurrency and become most important for altcoin, if bitcoin get collapse or have any bad news seems easily for altcoin get collapse too.
Altcoin most holding by the developer or the project owner, difference with bitcoin have been holding by many people with small possibility get collapse than altcoin get easily drop depend on developer's hand.

No altcoin have stayed strong in the market whenever Bitcoin experiences a price decline. It's whenever Bitcoin has a fall in price, altcoin does the same by falling harder than what Bitcoin has decreased to. You can imagine when Bitcoin collapses in price, what the fate of altcoin would look like. That means many of the altcoins would diminish in price, only to increase in price when Bitcoin begins to resurrect in price

that's right, altcoin has its own ecosystem so they can manage it well and make new innovations for the future, only here the role of bitcoin is the main role so that the price of the coin has an impact on bitcoin so that if the price of bitcoin goes up then other coins will be affected and vice versa.. but if the existence of bitcoin is important in altcoin so that altcoin cannot live without the presence of bitcoin that is very wrong..

omg... your opinion is against the current, and I like this kind of discussion... sometimes unexpected things do happen, so I also appreciate this opinion because it could happen...

simply, to see if altcoins react the same as Bitcoin depends on which aspect is attacked... if the attack is on cryptocurrency as a whole, then when Bitcoin goes down, altcoins will also go down... both are in the same space

whereas if only Bitcoin is attacked, it is likely that only Bitcoin will experience a price drop, because altcoins are not included in the Btc world...

It is not likely that Bitcoin will crash in the crypto market. But as Bitcoin is declining, so are altcoins. I think altcoins with strong technology, active real-world use cases can survive.  Bitcoin is the most trusted crypto currency as it is unlikely to collapse.

Well, Bitcoin has more than a 50% share of the crypto market and is now recognized as a most trustworthy asset Meanwhile, the crypto market’s high volatility should be considered as its intrinsic nature. Of course, the fall of Bitcoin’s price has implications on the rest of the market, including altcoins. So, investing in those altcoins that possess a strong background and are actively applied in the business sphere can help avoid sharp up and downswings in the market. Any altcoins that are backed with some sort of solidity such as the possessing of attributes which makes them have some form of utility across different industries will stand a better chance of surviving through the downturn; even in the mere instance where Bitcoin is to suffer a downfall.

And also I haven’t seen any altcoin can survive when the price of Bitcoin falls to the bottom price as it did some time ago.

in my opinion if one day BTC will fall and stop, then other altcoins will also experience the same thing, because people will lose confidence in cryptocurrencies
but now, maybe it will be impossible for BTC to experience bankruptcy and fall. because btc itself has taken the hearts of most people and its popularity has spread widely, so that investors and important people have taken many benefits from crypto currency so that it will be difficult for BTC to collapse in the future.
not to mention that times are getting more modern so people will switch from currency. traditional money to digital currency

However, BTC is the only truly decentralized coin, and it is impossible to find a replacement - such things are actually in the domain of science fiction.

in my opinion if one day BTC will fall and stop, then other altcoins will also experience the same thing, because people will lose confidence in cryptocurrencies

Yeah,if bitcoin collapse, altcoin would likely take a hit too
Bitcoin as a cryptocurrency basically controls the movements of other cryptocurrencies.Bitcoin is the biggest player in the crypto space so when it stumbles, the whole market tends to shake too. When it depreciates,it is likely for other cryptocurrencies also to follow likewise the reverse.
Although, some altcoins might still hold up better than the others if they've got a strong tech or arent too tied to bitcoin's price.
But still,no one is completely immune to a bitcoin downturn.

Well this is the right answer in my opinion, even before this question there seemed to be a lot of narratives like this when bitcoin first appeared, but in reality bitcoin has survived until now and can even develop further.

I don't want to speculate actually, because I really believe that bitcoin will survive, unless things like what was said happen, like the internet collapses. Even when that happens, it's not just bitcoin that will collapse, but everything related to the internet.

Although, some altcoins might still hold up better than the others if they've got a strong tech or arent too tied to bitcoin's price.
But still,no one is completely immune to a bitcoin downturn.
I think to simply put what you're trying to explain, Bitcoin is the mother coin and as the mother coin, whenever it suffers negative movement in price, every other coin follows suit. Bitcoin basically controls the crypto market and that's why investors and crypto traders do base their decisions on the price movement of Bitcoin.

Mate, Bitcoin will not collapse except the internet collapses. Bitcoin is a digital assets that only function through the internet and without the Internet there will be no Bitcoin or cryptocurrency, and even the blockchain technology. As a matter facts, Bitcoin and altcoins operate on the internet and whatever happens to Bitcoin affect all altcoins, they coesist and operate on blockchain networks.
I agree. It is very unlikely that Bitcoin will collapse as long as we have internet. People will always trust in Bitcoin investment and they can do trading with Bitcoin if we have internet. This also happen altcoins. If we have internet, we will have altcoins.

But if internet disappears, Bitcoin may collapse because people will be doubtful with Bitcoin. And we also will get difficulty to trade and store Bitcoin. Even if some people believe Bitcoin can survive, but people won't trust anymore. So, unless internet is gone, Bitcoin and altcoins will stay in this world.

As long as we have an internet network we can make transactions with bitcoin, but I don't think that's the cause of bitcoin's disappearance in the future. Maybe bitcoin will not disappear but will be replaced with a more potential coin so that the price of bitcoin will gradually decrease. but it seems impossible for the near future. because bitcoin still looks strong and increasingly expensive and we also see that there is no coin that can replace bitcoin at this time.

so for crypto lovers, we should focus on our investment and trading, because the future of crypto is still long.

Though it remains true that Bitcoin tends to establish a specific parameter in the crypto market, now we need to look further. Most of the altcoins have hence found their niches and actual values that do not necessarily have do with Bitcoin’s performance. For instance, the smart contract of Ethereum and Solana’s approach towards scalability have somehow created significant advancements like DeFi and NFTs. So, being aware of Bitcoin movement, we can also focus on the bits that lead alts to reach for more, to use the given chance in the market properly.

However, diversification is another good way to minimize risks which is the division of the portfolio. Thus, not only substituting Bitcoin but also having the opportunity to use coins with better fundamentals that can increase their rate higher, in some cases. He still remain updated in relation to the new projects and available market trends as they may change with a short notice. This understanding prevents us from simply chasing Bitcoin’s trends but be able to make decisions more freely and analytically.

If we still have internet, we can trade Bitcoin easily in any exchanges. So, people can have no problem to trade and invest in Bitcoin. But if there is no internet, it means we will be difficult to trade the Bitcoin. This will be a very serious problem if people is difficult to trade Bitcoin. There is no investors who want to risk their money into something that will be difficult to sell in the future. Well, for now, it seems no chance to be the end of Bitcoin. Yes, Bitcoin is getting more expensive, it is a good sign for Bitcoin future.

in my opinion if one day BTC will fall and stop, then other altcoins will also experience the same thing, because people will lose confidence in cryptocurrencies
but now, maybe it will be impossible for BTC to experience bankruptcy and fall. because btc itself has taken the hearts of most people and its popularity has spread widely, so that investors and important people have taken many benefits from crypto currency so that it will be difficult for BTC to collapse in the future.
not to mention that times are getting more modern so people will switch from currency. traditional money to digital currency
Yes, because the crypto benchmark is Bitcoin, people's trust in Bitcoin represents crypto, so if Bitcoin collapses, then trust in altcoins, let alone, will be even worse. Now we can see how Bitcoin has affected us, so far, so far, if the price of Bitcoin falls, then it is very likely that altcoins will also experience the same thing.

but yes, once again, it is unknown when it will happen and hopefully it will not happen. with supply and also investors everywhere globally, while the world is getting more modern and sophisticated in technology, maybe it will be difficult to happen.

This should not be argued since there is no dispute that Bitcoin plays a critical role on all existing cryptocurrencies and the outlook people have towards Bitcoin is the same that they have towards cryptocurrencies. However, one must also bear in mind that in the future due to advancement in the blockchain technology and further development of altcoins it can be seen that some altcoins start to act less dependent on the movement of Bitcoin. Despite these risks, with the advancement of the use of the technology and with global investors increasing, a total collapse in not possible. Companies just have to be aware of the existing conditions and trends in the market and in technologies.

Collapse in what sense? Bitcoin can experience some draw down due to certain market forces but I won't want to use the term collapse as to me it's not going to be possible. Right now with the speed at which Bitcoin is being adopted, the number of investors flowing into the market has actually built a strong hold for the Bitcoin market. We also know very well that Bitcoin is more like a king when it comes to cryptocurrency. And when it experience some major dips, other altcoins will also do same. So yes altcoins tend to follow it's footsteps sometimes and also when Bitcoin is bullish we see same movement from altcoins.

I would call it a big correction because BTC is too big to "collapse" in the sense of other coins dying down completely.
That's my view on it too - the market would be losing too much without a strong BTC.

Yes, it is more possible to have a big correction in Bitcoin price than to see the end of Bitcoin. I agree that Bitcoin is too big thing to collapse. Although it is not impossible, but I am sure it is unlikely to see the collapse of Bitcoin. Moreover, Bitcoin looks more popular among the people in the world. Many people Bitcoin is the best investment in this bad world economic condition. How can something like this to collapse? It seems very unlikely.

         -      Since Bitcoin is also a type of crypto asset, it is the No. 1 among other cryptocurrencies. If there is something that will collapse, it won't be bitcoin right away;
I can believe that other cryptocurrencies will collapse right away.

Then what will be the main reason for the collapse of Bitcoin? OP didn't specify the reason why it would collapse. Now if I look at it literally, it is no different from the leader of a country that has a President and a Vice President, where if the President is gone, the one who follows the President will automatically be the one who follows the President. Maybe the same is true of the status or standing of the top altcoins in the market.

It seems that in the next 5 to 10 years, bitcoin is still strong and unlikely to collapse, but we don't know what will happen to bitcoin in the next 20 years, is it still popular? or will there be a bitcoin replacement coin in the future.
but we shouldn't think too long because we can still get benefits to hold bitcoin for the next 10 years, that's according to my prediction.

Certainly,altcoin would too.
Since bitcoin is the first and most established cryptocurrency,it basically influences the whole market.See it as a web chain, when the price of bitcoin fluctuates, other cryptocurrencies follow also.If the price goes down, other cryptocurrencies too are likely to depreciate same as when the coin appreciates too.

Maybe what you predicted is right, bitcoin will survive for the next 10 years and currently there is no coin that can replace bitcoin's position, but everything can change if there is a change in the market and there is a new coin that has greater potential than bitcoin, but the possibility of that happening is quite small because bitcoin's popularity is difficult to replace.

And I think that's why we have altcoins, which are the alternatives of Bitcoin. Altcoin was probably the best word to describe anything outside Bitcoin, so if another coin comes out that supposedly have a greater potential (which I'm not certain of) than Bitcoin, it will still be regarded as an altcoin. Bitcoin has earned it's place (no.1 spot) in the crypto community, and I believe even founders of other popular crypto can't deny that.

I think, We can also remember that as long as Bitcoin currently occupies a leading position, it is not guaranteed that it will maintain this position in the future. Change is a continuous process in the world of technology, and many latest projects in the crypto world are introducing features that may shift the market. Another disadvantage of using bitcoins is that newer, quicker, easier, and more entertaining digital currencies might be developed into the future and more people will use them. As we remember from our previous sections, crypto market is highly volatile, and the experience of past years may demonstrate the tendency shift. Therefore, given that, today the Bitcoin is more popular than ever, it is entirely plausible that in the next decade there will be another coin that will be able to challenge and potentially even outcompete Bitcoin’s impact. Only time will tell.

Coins other than bitcoin are altcoins, and from the beginning of investing in crypto understand that. Bitcoin remains the number one coin and the king of all coins in crypto.
commenting if bitcoin collapses it seems like altcoins will still be around and we will see what the strongest altcoin will be that will replace bitcoin.

Bitcoin is dominant in the crypto market, both by setting the precedent and demonstrating immense power. Nevertheless, altcoins have the possibility to develop into individual single coin and to shine when Bitcoin feels the pressure or declines on the opposite direction. That is why, in a situation where BTC ceases being dominant or even disappears, it is the altcoins, based on a sound concept, technological genius, and a zealously faithful community, that are capable of surviving. For instance, Ether shines well in smart contracts and has an ecosystem that underpins dApps, and this adds its own utility outside the possibility of making more money. Other altcoins that are becoming popular include Cardano, Solana, Polkadot with the common feature of being faster, and with efficient solutions in issues of scalability and interoperability of networks.

Another issue is that regardless of its collapses altcoins remain very resistant and many of them are still tied to Bitcoin large market cap and its dominating story. A possible Bitcoin crash is likely to add more fluctuations in altcoins, which can be linked in many ways to Bitcoin as most altcoins set their intrinsic value against Bitcoin and most investors and financial institutions still equate the cryptoeconomy’s credibility to Bitcoin. Thus the performance of altcoins in displacing Bitcoin as the chief market leader depends on their capacity to develop sustained ecosystems and form credible trust.

Very unlikely?
I disagree strongly to that comrade.when the price of bitcoin drops in the market, altcoin prices follow too while rropping by mayb 5-15 % or more even. This scenario is literally likely to happen anytime the bitcoin market has a shake not excluding all most other cryptocurrencies if not all.Reason that the crypto market ideally serves as a role model to other digital currencies.Inbrstors most times analyse the bitcoin market before making investment decisions and choice while investing in other cryptocurrencies.

That's why I don't see it happening.
Alts will fluctuate even more, you are right. But BTC is a corner stone that probably wouldn't be "collapsing" any time soon.

I think we share the same point of view, exactly the op is talking in terms of the price not the technology associated with Bitcoin existence, the fact is that Bitcoin has always been the master of all other coins thats why its upsurge soars the price of altcoins, once it goes otherwise, likewise will happen to altcoins, let me state it categorically, if anything eventually happens to bitcoin, altcoin s I will be history but the thing is that nothing is going to happen to Bitcoin because the technolgy that facilitate its existence is very strong, we can only experience its normal character which is volatility and fluntiations of its price aside that there wouldn't be any form of total colapse if thats what the op is refeting to, Bitcoin has come to stay and it's high time we accept that as a reality and contiue doing the needful instead of thinking too much to prove unrealistic point.

not in the near future in my opinion because in my opinion BTC is currently becoming alternative 1 for investment where property, land and luxury goods investments are currently not doing well, if you invest in BTC and buy at the right time, the profits you get are not like we can invest in land and property when we sell it

I'm not sure this will happen, because looking at the history of Bitcoin, it has continued to grow over time.
Indeed, Bitcoin is the king of crypto, but now we can see that dozens of new Blockchains have grown, all of which also have large communities and support.
There was a time when the price of Bitcoin fell but the price of Altcoin rose, but what often happens is that when the price of Bitcoin falls, the price of Altcoin also falls.
If people or the community have seen and felt the benefits of cryptocurrency in general, I mean not only from Bitcoin.
I think, if Bitcoin collapses, maybe there will be some of these Altcoins that will be able to survive.

Bitcoin is very mandatory for the market. So, no doubts, its collapse will cause similar processes with other coins, especially with those, which don't have any real value

This is literally the first i'm seeing going sideways to other peoples remark.
However,i particularly get what you're saying about altcoins still surviving evem if the crypto market collapses today and i guess you too have your owm reasons or beliefs on why you think so.
Well,it is essential to know that bitcoin basically is literally a foundation for other cryptocurrencies. We have seen in various instances that when the price of bitcoin drops or depreciates, the price of altcoins too follow by in depreciation, maybe by 10-15% and not only altcoins, alot of other coins in the crypto market, altcoins are not singled out in this web basically because bitcoib serves as a  trailblazer for other coins.
However, lets assume that bitcoin should crashdown entirely maybe to 4000 dollars per say,i guess your assumption is that altcoin still tends to survive this crashdown. There are some reasons altcoins might survive such as diversification.Investors may still seek alternative stores of values or innovative project.i.e investors that woukd still believe in cryptocurrency generally and also since some altcoins still have superior technological advancements or feautures.
It isn't still entirely possible that altcoin would survive but i guess it would, based on assumption.

That's what I always do in short-term investment, especially trading. I always analyze bitcoin and its movement in the market before I decide to enter a coin. Because for the short term we really have to make accurate analysis and predictions so that we can get maximum profit and the character of the crypto market is very volatile.
Of course, bitcoin price movement controls altcoins prices and that's why Bitcoin is the king and the rest are duplicates. Using bitcoin price movement to predict the performance of altcoin is good, just like now that we are waiting to see a new ATH is this bull run, there is a high chance of altcoins also following the uptrend of bitcoin price and profit can be made from them. But this depends on the type of coin, because not all altcoins will survive a dump.

So, what if Bitcoin suddenly collapses, will altcoin also follow in Bitcoin's footsteps?? Show strong reasons why you think so!

Yes, I agree with your concept
Basically Bitcoin controls the crypto market being the first and the most successful crypto currency; we see in the market that when the price of Bitcoin fluctuates or depreciates it is very likely for other cryptocurrencies to follow in fluctuating as well as when the price of Bitcoin appreciates.
Going back to the main question, "IF BITCOIN COLLAPSES WILL ALTCOIN TOO COLLAPSE" , some investors might disagree that ALTCOIN won't collapse but it is wise to say that ALTCOIN would definitely collapse because when most investors want to make investments decisions while investing in coins they tend to analyze the Bitcoin market first before investing in other coins for example if the price of Bitcoin should appreciate investors who wants to invest in altcoin would give it a go ahead because the Bitcoin market controls the whole market but if the price of Bitcoin should depreciates investors tend to withdraw from investing in altcoin and other cryptocurrencies in general thereby making altcoin too to crash down in the market.

Basically,yes.
I,specifically don't see any reason why altcoin too won't collapse since Bitcoin generally controls the whole crypto market as the first and most successful cryptocurrency.
When Bitcoin depreciates in it's value,we tend to see other coins depreciating in it's value, same goes with when Bitcoin appreciates, other coins follow suit.
Basically, when investors make investment decisions of investing in other coins, they tend to analyse the Bitcoin market first before making investments today. If Bitcoin crashes down complete today, the altcoin market too would crashdown because alot of investors might d tend to  withdraw from other cryptocurrencies not excluding altcoin.

Bitcoin surely can influence altcoins, but Bitcoin can't determine the future of altcoins. Even Bitcoin is the king of crypto, there are crypto coins that don't fully follow Bitcoin price trend. Stable coins are the examples, they sometimes have a different direction with Bitcoin. When Bitcoin dropped much, stable coins often increased their prices quite significantly. Meme coins seem not following the trend of Bitcoin, too. So, it is not true that altcoin price fully relies on Bitcoin.

It seems like this is no longer expected, if Bitcoin collapses, then altcoins will follow, right?
As happened during the transition from bullrun to bearish era, the price of Bitcoin seemed to really collapse because the drop that suddenly happened very quickly. and in the end it will change very quickly. and that will also reflexively follow Bitcoin towards the bearish era. and this cycle always happens, where Bitcoin will collapse and return to bearish and its transition for years. because of that, only the really top altcoins can follow Bitcoin's journey, if not, then ETH and others, when else can we see which altcoins can really survive and which ones can't.

In all my years as a cryptocurrency marketer, there's never been a time that the change in price of Bitcoin have failed to affect that of altcoins whether positive or negative movement. The same way the price of most of the altcoins increase when the price of Bitcoin increases is the same the price of altcoins are significantly reduced whenever Bitcoin suffers collapse. There' are reasons why Bitcoin is regarded as the mother coin and one of the reasons is that the crypto market moves whatever direction Bitcoin moves.

We can see it in every bitcoin correction, altcoin will also experience a price drop following bitcoin. Top coins are easier to follow bitcoin in its movements because their popularity is quite high.

I believe - absolutely. Bitcoin is still the gateway to crypto and a lot of liquidity is concentrated in BTC. So if it goes down - so will the alts!

Due to the abundance of altcoins, it is difficult to judge which coins are good and which are bad, and since Bitcoin is the first currency in this crypto space, the confidence that investors have in it is not possible anywhere else. Since Bitcoin's market cap is about half of the total crypto market, it is not unusual for the market momentum on this coin to fluctuate. It is not the case that the price of altcoins will increase when Bitcoin increases. The price of Bitcoin has been rising in recent times but the price of altcoins has not rise accordingly. However, the price of the crypto market fluctuates depending on the price of Bitcoin. All the good altcoins that exist depend on the price of Bitcoin. Moreover, it is easy to understand whether the market is bullish or bearish by observing the price of Bitcoin.

I’ve seen this in the likes of Ethereum, at least that’s the only altcoin I can confidently say it’s a good altcoin, not just because it’s the second cryptocurrency next to Bitcoin, but because of the potentials of the technology it’s built in. Same way Bitcoin makes use of the Blockchain technology, that’s how Ethereum makes use of the Smart Contract Technology and this technology also has lots of potentials and has also contributed immensely to the crypto community.
And I’ve observed that whenever Bitcoin is experiencing a downturn, it also automatically affects Ethereum too.

rather different developers owner of altcoins.

So, it means that even if this bitcoin collapses, there will still be people in this industry of the crypto market because there are also many types of blockchains
that have different crypto assets in this field of crypto business.

If bitcoin collapses, then altcoins are also following bitcoin also, why I believe if bitcoin collapses, then altcoins are also going to collapse is that, whenever their is a crash in the market, you will notice if bitcoin starts dumping, other altcoins will also dump, and the percentage which they do use to dump is always more than that of bitcoin, their dump is always heavy, it’s always more than bitcoin dump, so just imagine bitcoin collapses, how will altcoins be able to survive that.

Now we can understand that altcoins have become so entwined with Bitcoin that what happens to Bitcoin is usually magnified in altcoins. This goes to show that Bitcoin is an extremely relevant asset as the primary stabiliser in the crypto market.

Since for many altcoins the existence depends solely on the topic and popularity of Bitcoin they will be severely threatened if it really fails. If altcoins have very useful products, and there is a strong market demand for them, the prices of the altcoins will still be dragged down with the prices of Bitcoins. Unfortunately, the current reliance for crypto ecosystem still lies heavily in Bitcoin, hence the development of more independent forms of resilience in the future is crucial foraltcoins.

I also observed that altcoins have not shown good performance in the crypto market, so the correlation between bitcoin and altcoins is still bad even though bitcoin prices are approaching ATH, but it seems like altcoin season has not arrived yet, maybe it will happen next year.
Bitcoin has always been the center but this week altcoins have had difficulty following bitcoin price movements in the market.

Now we already saw when bitcoin dump and for the bitcoin dominance how much dumped the altcoins are. And how much they are face struggling even bitcoin recover it self. So we can get an idea from this. If bitcoin how collapse what will never going to be happend even it's collapse then all altcoins will also collapse just becuase of the bitcoin dominance on the market. Like when bitcoin will collapse all peoples will also going to sell their coins an her those will also going to crash.

Everything we say here is an imagine. And none of us can tell about the future, there is no doubt that Bitcoin will rule the world economy for the next 100 or 200 years. But in the future, there may be a better technology than Bitcoin. What I mean is that any technology can come better than cryptocurrency. Because people have always invented new technology and it is doing it continuously. However, I don't think we'll see that day alive. But there is no doubt that if Bitcoin ever collapses then the whole crypto industry will collapse.

I don't think so, because if bitcoin collapses then all coins will collapse, only coins with good quality and high technology will survive so that at that time the coins that are in demand by buyers will quickly recover in price and vice versa... we often see in the market when bitcoin experiences a decline then the price of all coins also falls and vice versa, therefore bitcoin is the coin that is the main head of all coins.

I agree with you, only high-tech coins that are useful for users that recover quickly when bitcoin collapses will survive. But the majority of altcoins will collapse if that happens. Bitcoin will survive for the next 10 years, that's what many people estimate, maybe even more. So if you invest in bitcoin, I think it's still safe.

If we look at Bitcoin today, it does bear a significant responsibility as the focus of the crypto market and is often seen as influencing nearly all the other coins, particularly the alts. Whenever the value of Bitcoin rises or falls, there exists increased propensity to result in a similar movement in the majority of other coins, which remains testimony to the extent of its dominance in the crypto space.

So far I have been researching, until now, there is still no altcoin with a solid technology base that is not only in a position to rely on the superior technology of Bitcoin but also has its own unique characteristics that can sustain itself after a Bitcoin crash, all other crypto currencies will inevitably be impacted by the sliding prices of Bitcoin.
