Less than 2 months to go to the epic rematch between Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury.
The first bout ended with Usyk winning by a split decision.
How do you think the fight will go down this time?
Bookies are favouring Usyk with odds of x1.52 while paying x2.40 for Fury.

So a rematch is coming between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk. I will like to see Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua to fight which is what that will interest me to watch. I think the rematch would be won by Oleksandr Usyk. Oleksandr Usyk has shown himself to be the best boxer for now.
-
The pressure should be on Fury here, although he always beat his opponent in a rematch, but this one is very different as Usyk is also very technical fighter and he almost got knockout here if not for the referee to intervened.
And it seems that Fury is very different in their first fight, he is gun shy and was not able to impose his physically, like he had done to Wilder wherein they clinch and he put all his weight on him.
But in the end I'm still seeing that Usyk will still win in a hard fought match and will got the judges decision.

The thing is that Anthony Joshua lost his fight against Daniel Dubois, that is a huge bow as he is supposedly win that fight and then he could be facing the winner here. So with that, it could be Dubois that is going to face in my opinion. But regarding this fight, Usyk is the slight favorite if I'm not mistaken because he won the first fight and Tyson Fury wasn't able to counter or at least imposed his size and reach advantage. And he was really exposed of having difficulties when he is facing a slick and technical fighter like Usyk. Although this is not for all the 4 belts, as Usyk has been stripped of his IBF belt.
-
^ IBF is making unification a lot harder for boxing champs. I think I read it somewhere also that they stripped Usyk's belt which Dubios and AJ were fighting for. And so if Usyk win against Fury this time, he has to fight Dubios to unify again for that IBF HW belt. Usyk has to fight for WBO and to Dubios if he wants to unify.
But why does Usyk need to fight Fury again when he won it where it's obvious that Fury is no match?

I've seen the last media conference and face off and Tyson try to intimidate Usyk but he cannot, Usyk stands his ground and this is bad for Tyson Fury, This time, Usyk has a look in his face that he wants to end Tyson fury for good so I don't see a different result come December 21.
Tyson's antics did not intimidate Usyk this time I see a huge knockout from Usyk because he has the momentum and he knows where and how to hit Usyk, whereas Tyson can't still figure out how to beat Usyk.

I think it was stipulated in the contract that there will be a rematch if ever Tyson Fury lost and he did, he just activated the rematch clause if i'm correct.
IMO, there is no need for Usyk to unified the belt as he had it one time in his career but if there is money on the fight between and Dubios i think they will do a rematch as there are no other fights for him in the future if he came out victorious again against Fury.

IBF deliberately stripped Usyk of the belt and allow Dubios to fight for it with AJ. These boxing organisation missed the money on Usyk vs Fury 1 and will again missed Usyk Vs Fury 2 but they may not miss it if they soon match Usyk vs Dubios for unification AGAIN.

Regardless though, there will be a spoiler in this 4 body organization. Similar to what they did to Inoue as well if I'm not mistaken, they stripped him of his belt after unifying it.
So in this case, even if there are no longer all in the line, Fury will still be interested to fight Usyk in a rematch because of the biggest money involved. And then after that, the winner can fight Dubois directly to make it another unification fight.

And it shows that it's really hard to maintain all the 4 belts under one champion. If I recall it, Usyk vs Fury 1 has all the belts, and after that they have stripped Usyk. So IBF was really trying to derail the rematch.
Nevertheless, Fury is fine with it, they are going to push still for the December fight without that one belt. And the winner getting Dubois as you have said for the unification next year. So that's how boxing politics works though, as you can't please everybody, and then you have to scratch this governing body's back from time to time.

The IBF is not as prestigious as the WBC and WBA belts, and besides, they are fighting who will be the lineal champion. The lineal champion is very important because prior to Usyk beating Fury, Lennox Lewis was the lineal champion, so whoever wins here will be considered a lineal champion, and Dubois is just another heavyweight belt holder, so its still a very important match between the two.

These so-called boxing bodies are there to make money lol. They will do everything in their power just to be involve in a mega-fight and grab their share of the pie.
Nevertheless, i think Fury still wanted to fight Usyk to avenge his only loss of his career with or without that IBF belt and for the money as well. The IBF belt just make the scenario more interesting because either of the two will have to fight Dubios for the unification of the four belts, more money again for the winner.

The new promo of the rematch is a must-watch:
They really went over the top with it. I burst with a laugh at 1:22
The best boxing fight promo ever?

Yes probably it is, and I thought the Bivol-Beterbiev promo was the best, but this one is not only hilarious but reflects on the real feeling of both guys against each other. I hope Usyk can even the match so we'll have a trilogy and have another video promo like this; I'm sure it will be better than this one.

How do you think the fight will go down this time?
I entirely just want an entertaining fight worthy of being called a boxing fight. Fury will be working hard to make sure not to be a loser again in a boxing fight because the last time, it took a while for him to accept his loss. From the last image he posted about his physique for the fight, the responses he received were mostly not positive.

I think Fury might have learn several things from his first lost. And it looks like he will go heavy again in this fight. And with that, he could used his old strategy of using his weight and putting it all on his opponents, like what he did against Wilder. With that if you have to carry his weight in clinches it will sap all your energy.
Not sure though how can he do that to Usyk as it didn't work the first time. Because Usyk is agile and was able to get away from those clinches and has bigger IQ, he can smell from afar what Fury wanted to do. But if Fury execute it perfectly in the rematch, he might have a good chance to win by decision as it might lead to Usyk reading tired and gassing out in the round.
-
I honestly don't know who should be the favourite here and I consider it a 50/50 fight. On one hand, Usyk did win the first one fair and square, but it was a really close one, and if it wasn't for that knockdown (or standing count) who knows what the result would be.
Tyson seems to have his mind in the right place before the rematch. He's more collected and composed than before the first fight when he was acting a bit off at times.
Given that I give each 50% to win, if I had to bet, I'd bet on Fury, simply because the odds are better.
But instead of betting on the winner, I might be tempted to bet that the fight won't go the distance:
I think Fury will be keen on taking more risk, which will either pay off or he will get punished.

A new face-off video got published today and it was quite ridiculous ;D
They were staring each other down for like 11 minutes straight. This must be some sort of a record. The friendly vibes ended around 9th minute when Fury started talking shit, allegedly that he's going to smash Usyk to pieces.
That's a lot of contrast from their first fight when Fury refused to look at Usyk at all. Since that approach didn't bring him the expected result, he decided to do it differently this time around and overcompensated by taking it a bit too far.
Luckily they got separated eventually, otherwise they would still be standing there trying to win the staredown.

Tomorrow's heavy weight championship Match between Usyk and Fury will be a cracker as both boxers will be coming into this match knowing what is at stake to they have an image to protect but for fury he already he already has his back again the wall so he has nothing to loss coming into tomorrow's game he just has to come and and gives his best as he is still one of the biggest fighters currently in the world he will be going into the match hoping to reclaim his title that he lost to usyk later early this year, for usyk he will be going into this game with pressure as everyone is expecting him to retain his title I think this will be one of the best boxing matches that will have to see in recent time as both fighters are out to give out there best as they are the two best pound to pound fighter in the world now, the saudi fans will be trailed with the best of boxing as soudi is now fast becoming the home of boxing matches as they are hosting almost all boxing matches this year

Its the longest I've seen so far. I noticed Fury blinking three times on the staredown. Usyk is very steady. It was Lewis who says you have to impose yourself and win the staredown to have an advantage in the fight. Usyk is very calm compared to Fury, who is very tense and angry.
I have Usyk winning this time by a knockout here, and I think this time he has figured out how to finally know out Fury, Winning is in Usyk's DNA; he always finds a way, and skill-based, he has what it takes.

Then promotion wasn't hyped much unlike the first encounter so if the are not making money for this rematchy the result will be the same and Usyk will win.
Are tickets sold out? They are not revealing information yet as far as I know and if this is a flop there will be no trilogy to be fought. We shall see whether Turki will be interested.

There's not much noise, but Fury is taking a different approach to the fight. That's because Usyk proves to be a real challenge for him. Another loss, and he will be relegated to a B fighter, and maybe he will end fighting Joshua to prove who is a better British fighter between the two.
It depends on the result of how Fury will win the match, but its going to be interesting if he wins via knockout; the trilogy may not be that appealing, but if its close, then the third match will be attractive. We'll see the ticket sales and the PPV after the match.

By KO or by UD, whichever as long as Fury wins there will be a trilogy. They only depend on whether they can make money out of it and whether Turkish still be interested because if the sale isn't doing it, then most probably the fans out grown the rivalry of this two. I don't even see mainstream media covering this rematch.
People knows Usyk will win this again.

The dice is cast and the world is currently waiting for the Match to kickstart as there are few hours to the start of this much waited fight checking at their records this match will be intimidating as usyk has a clean record of 21 wins with no lose of which he has 14 knockout while Tyson has 34 win win only one lose out of which he he's 24 knockout so it's a tricky one for anyone to predict as both boxers has what it takes to win the match I wil really like to see this match end in a knockout

People knows Usyk will win this again.
I like Fury to win so we'll have a trilogy, but from many indications, Usyk has the edge; he wins in their staredown because Fury blinks a number of times, and it seems Usyk is going on Fury's head based on how he behaves. There is fear in Fury's eyes and movement; he has tasted Usyk's fist and have seen how fast Usyk is, and his defense is very good. If he does not have an answer to Usyk's style in the early rounds of the fight, Usyk will win by decision or by knockout.

Not sure if there will be trilogy, as somewhere I have seen that Usyk plans to return to cruiserweight. I will be logical for Usyk to fight Daniel Dubois for two reasons. First, Daniel Dubois hold IBF heavyweight title, and Usyk only needs this title to be an absolute heavyweight champion. Second reason is that their first fight was a little bit controversial. Some say that Dubois landed a low blow, some say that it was was a clean punch and Usyk was in knockdown. Only money could motivate for a rematch, but I think they will earn for those two fights so many, that it will be enough to retire.

I don't think Usyk will ever return to the cruiserweight, it wouldn't make much sense for him to do it. He'll be 28 in January, and it's not a secret that you can last longer in higher weight classes where fights are usually not so fast-paced as in lower divisions. Also, he would not be able to earn as much in the cruiserweight as he is in the heavyweight.
And yes, if he is to win the rematch with Fury, a rematch with Dubois would most likely be his next option, provided the money is right. At this stage of his career, he's probably looking to milk as much as possible out of it, given he doesn't have that many fights left in him.

After seeing how much they earn from their first fight and how much they have earned now (btw this this time Usyk received more than Fury), it isnt clear if they should continue boxing. Usyk was always a modest person, and with amount of money he has won, it is enough to live 2-3 lifes without economizing on things. A rematch against Dubois is needed. Dubois was in the ring and challenged Usyk, but I did not understand what Usyk replied, it did not sound as a confirmation for a fight. Why I thought he should return to cruiserweight - because there is now much challenge for him. Fights are more easy than in heavyweights.

Speaking of low blow, I just watched a video on Facebook regarding their fight, and based on what I saw, it seems like Dubois really punched him below the waist which is clearly a low blow. I mean it's just me because there are some saying that it was a low blow, and some saying that it isn't.
Anyway, we might see a Dubois-Usyk fight possible next year after Dubois defend his title against Parker (if he successfully defends it). I hope he will not return to cruiserweight still until he unifies all of the belts in heavyweight. That would be a better statement and might cement himself as one of the greatest heavyweight boxers of all time.

It was a nice Match to watch yesterday but this match was below expectations with the kind of media coverage that was given it I was actually expecting a knockout from this game but congratulations to fury for reclaiming his title that he lost to usyk and nice seeing him back as the world heavyweight champion

Based on the report, he says no problem to Dubois if he wants a rematch, and I believe its going to happen sooner. Fury can't accept that he lost to Usyk; he keeps saying that he won the fight and even congratulates Usyk for the gifts he's gotten from the three judges.
Only his corner believes that he won; AJ scored the fight, an AI also scored the fight, and they gave the fight to Usyk. Fury has too much pride to himself that he cannot accept defeat. I guess its time for him to fight Joshua; they are both losers; they need to win to get back in contention.

If Dubois losses to Parker, it will be less interesting story to see Usyk vs Parker, than a rematch between Usyk vs Dubois. So I believe, that judges might help Dubois to win if fight goes full distance and everything will be in judges hands. As to Fury, he is right now in a tricky situation. Second loss in a row. In the past, boxing puppeteers were trying to make Anthony Joshua vs Tyson Fury fight for belt unification and make a huge fight in UK, but Usyk as spoiled everything.
-
so is Dubios vs Usyk rematch/unification is not possible?
although people don't see him making clean hits, Fury claimed to he won at least 3 rounds. it doesn't really make a difference why claim just 3.
but it means there is no other fight between the 2 again, its hard enough to watch Fury box like that. the man can't even bend down so, there is no way he can really make a good offense to someone agile as Usyk.

I don't personally see any fight from this two again as Usyk has won the both matches to become the unified undisputed heavy weight championship of the world since 1999, Tyson will have to fight back to the top if he has any chance of fighting against usyk again but it nice seeing one becoming the unified undisputed heavy weight champion in a long while now ending the year defending his title is a good one for usyk let see who's going to challenge him coming next year

so is Dubios vs Usyk rematch/unification is not possible?

And he said that he wants to go back to CW, but I do not think that there is money on that division. So it's better for him to go fight Dubois to really cemented his legacy to be the next HW great after Fury.
It is said that AJ vs Fury as well is possible. We have been clamouring for this fight before as this is a domestic fight and this has been rivals as well for many years and it's about time that they fought before they retire.

Joshua vs fury match will not be interested to watch again as both boxers are looking for a way to rekindle their carrier back on to track as both have been beaten, those calling for this Match may not get the best of fights that they desires as both boxers are gradually ageing away this match was really needed some few years back when both fighters where on their peak because as it stands now both Joshua and fury has nothing to going into this game what will they be fighting for is the question that you should ask yourself

I think it depends more from an opponent, not from a division. He can stay in HW and fight those who are top3-5, and he wont get millions that he would get from fighting AJ, Fury or title holder. However, I wish he would fight Dubois and take his belt. This would mean that Alexander Usyk got all belts in CW and all belts in HW. If he would have a title defense, it would even make is legacy more unattainable. Right away, I cant name any other boxer with greater achievements.

I haven't (yet) watched the full fight due to lack of time, but from the highlights I've seen Usyk won fair and square. I don't think anyone was screaming about Tyson being robbed outside of his own camp.
I've seen the punches thrown/landed and they're all in favour of Usyk.
If Fury is disappointed with the result, he has himself to blame. After losing the first fight, he should've known that he needed do much more than throw some jabs and hoping that the judges will give it to him. He should've gone for a KO or get dropped trying.
What's next for Fury is a good question. Fury is still a huge name and has plenty of options, but I'm not sure if he will have enough motivation to get excited about fighting any lower-ranked guys where there's no belt on the line.
Maybe fighting Joshua is not a bad idea after all. Fury could use that win to re-bound and maybe earn a position to fight a winner of Dubois-Usyk (if that fight happens at all). I understand that Usyk might not want to fight Fury for the 3rd time, as he has already proven his superiority, but if Dubois was to win, then Dubois Vs Fury would make perfect sense.
-
Regarding options for Fury after his defeat, there's also Joseph Parker, an interim WBO champion. I don't know much about the recent affairs inside the WBO, e.g. is there any deadline for Usyk to fight the interim champ before getting stripped of the belt? But if Usyk was to vacate the WBO title to fight against Dubois for the IBF belt, then, potentially, it could open the door for Fury to have his shot for the WBO title against Parker. And if he was successful, he could then try yet again to win all the other belts back, either from Usyk or Dubois.
-
Both fighters are not young anymore. What do you think would be a best age for them to retire? Or after what achievement should they retire. For Usyk it seems clear - belts unification. For Fury, I dont know how long should he fight more. Usyk has told, that preparation and camp for this fight made him miss half a year of his newborn baby. He saw her when she was about 2months, not when he saw her she already try to speak. When they were younger, they might close eyes on such moments, when people get older, they start to cherish moments they spend with family. So if you are reach, or I would say crazy rich, I would say that it would be a perfect moment to retire and dedicate all life to family.

If you talk about belts, it has been done before,
Crawford became undisputed at 140 lbs and 147 lbs
Inoue at bantamweight and super bantamweight
And so Usyk also has become undisputed at CW also, so that he already accomplished already. Undisputed in CW and HW. So again he had his legacy cemented so it doesn't make sense for him to go down to CW. Dubois or Parker or even Zhang at this point and he had clean the HW for good.

One thing with fury is he likes talking too much and he still believe that he's the best but he got to know that times has changed and he needs to accept it wether he accept the defeat or not he has lost to Usyk in both matches so he and his camp are the only people who has not come to terms with the decision of the judge's I will say that it's all pride because when he was wining other matches through the decision of judge's nobody complain so I will say that it's wrong in his side to fault the decision of the judges maybe the best option now is to fight AJ maybe he can use AJ to come back to wining ways

I agree that he cleaned or wiped the opposition as the greatest heavyweight of this generation; he has beaten two of once and were the greatest champions of this era. He can retire with this legacy.
I think Usyk is good for two more years or three fights before he retires. He should retire as an undefeated and champion to add more records and greatness to his legacy.

Yeah, it is already the passing of the torch from Fury to Usyk. But the thing though is that Usyk is not that young anymore and there is a good challenge in him in Dubois that's why as fans we wanted to see him fight this young boxer. After all he is also a champion so he deserves to have a crack against the undisputed Usyk. Although he has beaten Usyk but it was controversial that's why fans are asking for a rematch. Just like when he gave AJ and Fury a rematch and proved his first win as not fluke.

There's a lot of speculation going on on what's next for Fury. Meanwhile, I'm reading that Francis Ngannou is seeking for a rematch:
https://businessday.ng/sports/article/ngannou-rules-out-anthony-joshua-rematch-eyes-fury-showdown/
“A rematch with Joshua? I felt very off and not comfortable in that fight. It’s something that could happen, but what I do know for sure is I want the rematch with Fury,” Ngannou said.
I don't see it as likely to happen, it would still be a good payday for Ngannou, as he would probably receive much more than in any mma fight, but it's a horrible option for Fury, if he is serious about getting back to the top.
-
It might be that Francis Ngannou has tasted money in boxing, jumped in MMA for a fight against Renan Ferreira, understood that winning in MMA is easier for him, but he needs to have several fights to get paid the same as in boxing, and he decided to search for a rematch opportunity. Obviously a fight against Tyson Fury brought him more money and he felt that he is able to win it, compared to a fight against Anthony Joshua, so he would be calling and trying to fight Fury, especially when Fury should be demotivated after two losses.

Well, this is the best time for Fury to agree on a Ngannou rematch. He needs a rebound, but I prefer a Joshua fight; its a long time coming. Both fighters need a rebound fight to get back in contention; they badly want it, so they have to fight for it.
It can be considered a legacy fighter for both fighters because at one time they were hailed the two best British fighters. I'm sure it will attract a lot of interest to the fight.
-
On one hand I think Tyson Fury would agree to fight Anthony Joshua, because everyone wants this fight to happen, everyone are ready to pay to see it happen, that will allow to form a budget to pay fighter. Big money fight for everyone. On the other hand, Fury might now agree to fight Joshua, as nothing is on a stake. No belts, no role of an obligatory contender for next title fight. When you have a big name in boxing, you dont fight only for money and only to have one more fight in a record.

That is the best scenario for them, they've both lost to Usyk already and by now this two are already in the twilight of their career.
But before they retire, they should face, all British boxing and for sure there are still a lot of money to be made between the two. Their fans have been clamoring for this fight many years ago and this could be the perfect time to fight each other next year in Wembly and it could be the biggest British HW fight in history.

I can't remember the exact figures, but I think he got paid more for that fight with Fury more than for all his MMA fights combined. So it's no surprise he actively pursues and favours boxing matches rather than MMA ones. Even if he was to get paid significantly less than for the Fury or AJ fights, it would likely still be much more than what he can earn in MMA, especially knowing that the organisation he has a contract with, PFL, doesn't seem to have any worthy opponents for him.

Maybe it is a blessing in disguise that Tyson Fury lost against Usyk so that there will be a battle of losers, i mean it will be hard to negotiate a fight with Fury because Joshua is coming from a lose to Dubios. Even though that the two were losers to Usyk but i think many are interested to watch them face each other.

Yes, it might be that fate really put both fighters to lose on Usyk so that they can have a all British showdown, hopefully it will be this year 2025 or early 2026. And it seems to be a curse for Usyk as he says that he will go down to CW.
And if that happens then there's no more money on that division and he has been there before and unified it. So it's like that Usyk has nothing to prove anymore.
-
Lets consider that Alexander Usyk is really going down to cruiserweight, then who he will face there? Ramirez, Opetaia, Mikaelian, are they able to defend their belts against Usyk? As he will aim them, he wont do warm-up or have an intermediate fight before having a title fight. Among them Opetaia looks like a serious opponent, as other have already tasted defeats.

The Mirror launched an article yesterday speculating on whether Tyson Fury would retire or not:
https://www.themirror.com/sport/boxing/tyson-fury-retirement-oleksandr-usyk-885103
Apparently many in the boxing community are calling for him to call it a day and quit, but I wouldn't be putting too much weight on opinions expressed shortly after any fight, as they're usually emotion-based.
I think the key message is this one:
"What’s next for me? I’m going home and having some time off," he said after his second loss in Saudi Arabia. When asked if fans will see him fight again, he replied: "You might do, you might not. Who knows? We’ll talk about that next year."
Those comments were fairly ambiguous on the fighter's future following a tough year for Fury. However, The Sun has since reported the boxing icon has told close friends: "It's not over."
At this point, Fury himself might not be sure whether he'll retire or not, but I bet that we'll see him fighting again. He'll have to hang up his gloves eventually in a couple of years so why rush it? And what's the alternative? Just doing nothing, letting himself go, and starting drinking again? Nah, he'll be back.

I don't think he should retire. He performed better than Dubois and Joshua when they fought Usyk, he still has the moves and the power. its just Usyk is an exceptional fighter, the British people still want to see him square off against Joshua or Dubois so the British will know who is the best British fighter, and Fury can still beat Dubois or Joshua.

That's what I also wanted to see a all British fight, AJ vs Fury to see who is the best boxer in this generation. Otherwise if they don't fight, there will be a lot of debates later and a lot of what if.
So he should not retire yet, also the money is going to be big here with that AJ vs Fury that both can't refuse that money. Specially if the power broker HE Turki are willing to put the money on the line.
