Well, this is the best time for Fury to agree on a Ngannou rematch. He needs a rebound, but I prefer a Joshua fight; its a long time coming. Both fighters need a rebound fight to get back in contention; they badly want it, so they have to fight for it.

I can't remember the exact figures, but I think he got paid more for that fight with Fury more than for all his MMA fights combined. So it's no surprise he actively pursues and favours boxing matches rather than MMA ones. Even if he was to get paid significantly less than for the Fury or AJ fights, it would likely still be much more than what he can earn in MMA, especially knowing that the organisation he has a contract with, PFL, doesn't seem to have any worthy opponents for him.

Yes, it might be that fate really put both fighters to lose on Usyk so that they can have a all British showdown, hopefully it will be this year 2025 or early 2026. And it seems to be a curse for Usyk as he says that he will go down to CW.

Lets consider that Alexander Usyk is really going down to cruiserweight, then who he will face there? Ramirez, Opetaia, Mikaelian, are they able to defend their belts against Usyk? As he will aim them, he wont do warm-up or have an intermediate fight before having a title fight. Among them Opetaia looks like a serious opponent, as other have already tasted defeats.

He performed better than Dubois and Joshua when they fought Usyk, he still has the moves and the power. its just Usyk is an exceptional fighter, the British people still want to see him square off against Joshua or Dubois so the British will know who is the best British fighter, and Fury can still beat Dubois or Joshua.
