usa or trump has expressed his desire to make the country crypto capital of the world which means he hopes to accept and encourage most crypto projects and operations in the country fully accepting it and making usa known for accepting crypto
but crypto as a whole especially bitcoin is supposed to be decentralized why would crypto be only focused in one country when crypto enthusiasts are all over the world? i know it is just a name trump wants to have but do you think it is fitting to call any country crypto capital of the world?
news:

I guess it depends on what you consider "crypto capital". Most businesses registered, most trading volumes, etc. At the end of the day, even if such a country or city exists, it won't be able to serve everyone, especially those who live in another country. Just like how people view Las Vegas as a gambling city but people still gamble on another country/city. It's just a marketing term, it won't affect the network IMO. Sure, there will be some concentration of mining power and so on if the benefits are huge, but not every miner will go there for various reasons, including privacy, decentralization, etc.
-
Here is my opinion on this matter: Making USA the crypto capital has nothing to do with decentralization or whatsoever risks we may assume that can be affected by the stand of Trump on cryptocurrency. I guess by crypto capital he means that USA will be a big leader in this industry where innovations can happen first and am expecting that mining will be fully accepted in the country to make more "Made in USA" Bitcoin, so to speak. Now, it does not mean that other countries will be left behind as this industry is global and open to anyone. There will never be a monopoly on Bitcoin or the whole cryptocurrency for that matter. In fact, we should be thanking Trump for putting Bitcoin and cryptocurrency on the limelight and hopefully there will be many positive news and developments that can materialize within the coming four years of his presidency.
-
Donald trump is also one of the best famous person in the world. We also know that he was the best familiar figure in crypto currency world. So in this time if he wants to create his country for crypto capital, I think that it will not be very difficult for him. We also know that Donald trump also support in bitcoin, when he wasn't president is US. We also know that when he could be win in election, then gradually bitcoin price is increase. So if he could reach out in bitcoin for best position, then others crypto will be develop in crypto currency world. So if he wants to make crypto capital in his country, I think that it will be possible for him.
-
The United States has had many lawsuits against crypto companies that have created a lot of insecurity for some companies to remain or open headquarters in the country
the SEC went after a lot of things that could have been different
If they make the rules clear and create more security, it is inevitable that there will be more projects based in the United States
But I don't think this will affect decentralization in any way
-
Those who want this want to see the price rise quickly because they see Bitcoin as more of an investment than a decentralized currency. Therefore, since most of the capital is in the United States and most of the companies and investors are there, adopting Bitcoin in the United States means that we will see a pumping of the price faster than any other country adopting it and it will encourage other countries to engage in Bitcoin.
-
Calling USA the crypto capital of the world does not mean they are in control of the network. I'm with the above comments that it's probably about the concentration of trading volume. I think Trump already knows that huge volumes comes from US traders/investors that's why he can boldly make that statement.
-
This will be the news and a new chapter of Bitcoin and Cryptocurreny in general in the Era of Donald Trump's leadership, and I am sure there will be a positive impact.
Although Bitcoin is actually decentralized and cannot be centralized in one city or one country.
Until now I still support all the policies taken by Donald Trump for Bitcoin, and it has been proven that the increase in the price of Bitcoin lately is also due to the impact of Donald Trump's election as President of the USA.
-
I think he refers to the most cryptocurrency friendly country or the country that has the most crypto investors in the world and maybe he wanted America to dominate the crypto industry as a whole as we all know not all countries are having the positivity into crypto some are not even embracing the idea of decentralization so yeah good to hear that from him. Lucky for the Americans to have a president like him who has positive insights about crypto. He might also want people to have an idea of cryptocurrency's potential in the future.
-
i know it is just a name trump wants to have but do you think it is fitting to call any country crypto capital of the world?
Count the number of articles in crypto newspapers about
- the FED changing interest rates
- The Russian CB changing interest rates
- Somalia CB changing interest rates
Now since you realize that all crypto eyes are glued to what happens in the US and don't give a damn about the rest of the world, what is wrong in calling it even now the capital of crypto?
-
I don't know how he is going to do that and how he will neutralize the contradiction of decentralization; he may need to overhaul or change the whole system, which is hard to do, and Trump is not going to stay in power forever or even his party; the shift should be steady and not something that can be changed by another president.
We will all see his plan when he sits in the Whitehouse.
-
It's just means he wants to make crypto big enough compared to other countries in terms of adoption so more companies will operate from US that will generate taxes to the government. It's not wrong at all and it doesn't mean people from other countries will not be interested or things like that, it's just a fancy word used to attract or express more crypto related platforms are available.
-
Trump has shown a good attitude towards cryptocurrency at the beginning of his election campaign. The most powerful country in the world is the US and Donald Trump is the current president of that country. As a leader of a country, he must have various plans on how to take his country forward and how to maintain its dominance in the world. And they will work accordingly.
When Trump has been able to understand very well that crypto has become the most promising investment in the world and it will be more in demand in the future, he has taken such a decision to keep his country ahead so that no other country can take the leadership.
Bitcoin is decentralized so no one can control it. But we all know that it has a limited supply. There is no chance of it exceeding 21 million. That is why Trump might try to control a large part of that supply if his country controls it, other countries will fail to take that control. That's why he wants to keep his country on top as the world's only Bitcoin capital.

The video is old, we need new insights on crypto now but thanks for mentioning the video the channel is new to me, the content they publish is good seems unbaised to thanks for that.
Speaking of world becoming more crypto friendly, I agree and that's because I was reading an article on BTT where the source link https://99bitcoins.com/news/texas-proposes-creating-bitcoin-reserve-by-accepting-taxes-fees-and-donations-in-btc/ Gives us the idea that why crypto will be famous in 2025 and maybe in 2026. People think even I think crypto will follow its pattern but to be honest I don't think till now market should be making these moves as the bull run is taking long time now.
Means till now it should be to an end but according to the video and after seeing the adoption in the article if you will read it, like 7 countries have already talking about adding BTC to their reserves while two (El-salvador and Bhutan) has already did. This kind of adoption will last the bull run for another 1 year or IMO it can last maybe till Trump has the presidency. Or maybe we can see a supercycle.
-
because whenever US does something, ll the rest of the countries in the world do the same thing. so i they become crypto capital the rest o the world follows. but what is happening though is that all countries may also want to be crypto capital of the world, El Salvador i think wants to become as well.
Hong Kong seem to be want to be the crypto capital as well. so there is no real capital yet which a few more countries mining BTC might just steal the title.
-
Hong Kong seem to be want to be the crypto capital as well.
There are many countries or cities in Asia that claim to be one, or at least try to be. I'm pretty sure Japan and South Korea have a huge volume to compete with Singapore, Hong Kong, etc. I certainly hope liquidity won't be concentrated in one or two countries if it means I won't be able to liquidate to fiat easily. Regardless of what the guys at the top are doing, I'm pretty sure trading volume in my country is more than enough for the market right now. CMIIW.

I think with the way the crypto market is trending, the Donald Trump regime effects, adoptions, increasing demand etc, may boost demand, and we may experience a super circle as you mentioned.
Yes, Bitcoin actually has a 4 year circle, but anything can happen, as it is already showing some signs of further developments especially the demand/supply factors. Many innovations, developments may be unfolding in 2025, a Bitcoin strategic reserves is beaconing, which may dry up circulating supply if implemented by Donald Trump in US and many other nations.
-
I think Trump saying he wants to make USA crypto Capital is referring to him being the first President of the United States and the world at large who publicly announce the legal use and acceptance of Bitcoin and crypto currency. As a public figure to the entire world, making this kind of statement is to announce to the world that USA is the first country that publicly by its President to accept the use of crypto currencies. This will increase the demand momentum of new investors and enthusiasts who will venture into the crypto community. Other countries will want to follow his footsteps and so on.
Bitcoin and crypto currencies are all made to be decentralized by nature, which has nothing to do with regulations. The government has always wanted to have control over everything. Here we are, knowing well that Trump is a crypto lover, but as a President he will bring up regulatory bodies in the community. Though, this will bridge the gap between the two sides, but they are of opposition to each other.

The possibility is there, as many countries, big and small, can try to follow suite after the US due to them being the first in this new brand thing for bigger entities, so to speak.
The supercycle of Bitcoin would be glorious.

Yeah, Donald Trump actually want America to play a dominant roll in all aspects of cryptocurrency, on investments, mining, trading, other developments that may help the crypto economy.
I think Donald Trump meant well for the economy with some of his proposals, he has been vocal about his stand, it is obvious that he wants a situation where other nations will have to learn from America, being the hub of Cryptocurrency best establishment head quarter. I think Donald Trump should be commended so far, he has been the reason for the huge market performances in recent times.

This is a strategy implemented by Donald Trump to make America a real example for all developed countries,
despite the fact that El Salvador is ahead of him.
But even so, the U.S. could indeed dominate in the cryptocurrency aspect if Trump continues to support it and make Bitcoin a fully adopted currency.
We will see how a new chapter will be when Trump is inaugurated soon.
At the moment the market seems to be consolidating, but this is only temporary and will then reach the ATH again soon.

I hope that there will not be anything in the future where the United States of America wants to prepare them in such a way that they will control the entire crypto world. Although this is not possible in the case of Bitcoin except for partial influence. Because it is a fully decentralized ecosystem. However, the only issue here is whether the global adoption and the adoption of the USA will increase at the same rate. If only the adoption rate of the USA increases, then their ability to influence the crypto market will also increase. Which is definitely not good for this market.

el salvador is not as wealthy and not as powerful as the us we know this i think it is more impressive that a developing country like el salvador is the one taking the risks and going all out with the adoption of bitcoin despite this i feel like us is the one that is most talked about and it is understandably because it is the most influential out of the two and maybe among other countries as well
usa is involved in many political affairs and many countries depend on them economically speaking and the adoption of bitcoin as much as is a strategy of trump to win in the election could also change the international affairs scene completely due to how influential usa is to other countries

The US simply wants its share, or to be more precise - to be the leader in the sphere. To hold - the - most Bitcoin than the others.
It's the prestige and the potential they are aiming for.

I don't think that most of the lawsuits created under the former SEC can still have any effect seeing that a new crypto friendly regime is coming to make or modify certain ambiguous rules that were created by the outgoing SEC. As soon as Donald Trump takes charge, as the president, I expect that new rule are going to be made, and the old rules may be modify to alien with his crypto plans.
Generally, the concert of decentralization will not be affected, though the issue of regulations may be pushing in, though there may be regulation weakness during this regime in my opinion.

Trump expressed his desire to make America a crypto and bitcoin hub for blockchain enthusiasts and it was welcomed by the US citizens to be a good move by Trump and these were amongst the reasons why he was voted for massively in the concluded presidential election.
I have come to realize the whole wide world is currently waiting for the US to say something about this crypto of a thing by publicly coming out to say their stand and hopefully, the new president would do that upon inauguration and when that is done, the full global adoption would begin to take shape. I have no doubt the US will be the crypto hub of the world looking at the fact that the newly elected doctors are doing.

there are actually regulations made even in Asia about crypto. they don't have to wait US to do something but then their government regulators has long arms to penalize those crypto companies outside US so most probably they will just wait til their SEC does something.
but what we are seeing to happen is that each state may be adopting BTC with its own regulations which will confuse the rest of the world as to which one to follow. but i hope they see this s a go green sign that countries should be buying BTC as well.

Yeah it is a good point that other countries can and do have the ability to make rules for and against crypto. China is one for sure.

The US as a developed country will be the center of other countries even though each country will have its own regulations governing crypto in their country, but the influence of the US will have a good impact on crypto. Currently the price of bitcoin has dropped to $ 92K, apparently waiting for Trump to be inaugurated as US president.

They are a superpower country, the number 1 in the world and even their US dollar is the global currency. Although BRICS wanted to challenge it, so far it was a failure.
So for Trump to say that the US will be the crypto capital, it means that they are going to embrace it, not necessary to control it as we all know that Bitcoin is decentralized, but most likely they want to mine it as well and then have crypto regulations that is very friendly and then have a lot of Bitcoin and make it is a national reserve.

usa is involved in many political affairs and many countries depend on them economically speaking and the adoption of bitcoin as much as is a strategy of trump to win in the election could also change the international affairs scene completely due to how influential usa is to other countries
We just need to see if Trump will actually do it or not, because the big influence exerted by Trump will have a huge impact on Bitcoin.
Now the crypto market is down and this is still waiting for plans when Trump will be inaugurated.
The U.S. will be the second country that will probably have a good impact on bitcoin after the El Salvador success,
but is it possible that this will work out well enough in the U.S.?
Because In the event of El Salvador Adoption many pros and cons also occurred and some riots against bitcoin.

Actually, the USA is the most powerful country in the world and so they mostly want to show off their power and dominate over everyone else, so I actually doubt what their real motive is behind starting any activity.
But at least this time, I don't want to take anything negative. Their interest in crypto currency will bring more opportunities for us and hopefully the overall global adoption rate will also increase.

Yes, right now we really hope that Trump can really realize his promises in the campaign, so that the country can be much more friendly to crypto. Because there are indeed several points that can be underlined from Trump's statement. and we really look forward to it this month, starting from the first day he was inaugurated and as president of America. yes, hopefully he will not renege. at least he can release some of it and it will still have a big influence on the crypto market.

In the USA 45 to 55 percent of the country hate Trump. So he will meet with a to. Of resistance. I am not so sure he will be able to do much. ALSO Los Angeles is burning like mad. There will be a lot of infighting of how to rebuild the city. So crypto may go to the back burner

Of course, the US is a superpower so it makes it look like other countries are just looking up to them for certain decisions. Why the adoption of bitcoin seems as if it is slow because Biden never gave consent to it which made other countries not look into it. Ever since Trump started saying things about Bitcoin, many nations began to follow up with Bitcoin as some already decided to make it a national reserve. Bitcoin price pumped very high to a new price upon being declared a winner of the US Presidential elections.
I would not be surprised if the US uses Bitcoin as a national reserve after Trump's inauguration. Doing this alone would encourage other nations to follow suit by using Bitcoin as their national reserve because policies that will favor Bitcoin usage would be enacted and Bitcoin would be globally recognized as a digital asset as it was designed to be.

Most of the countries in the world are thinking about crypto for various reasons and among them unemployment is decreasing. Moreover, it is one of the easiest ways to trade and also offers maximum liquidity diversification. Better yet, it offers a new form of self reliance that is both fascinating and transformative. Digital assets continue to grow for many other reasons.
Each has proven to be a supporter of the technology and there are many offer exclusive benefits to crypto entrepreneurs and traders. Hopefully more countries will follow suit in the future and make blockchain assets a major option for their citizens.

Crypto is getting more popular nowadays and many countries have started to allow their citizens to invest in crypto. although there are still some countries that cannot accept crypto. but crypto has given us many benefits, besides technological advancement it can also reduce unemployment because by focusing on crypto we can have income.

Crypto trading can make one self-employed because when you invest in the market by buying tokens for trading, you will be following up with the trade so you could be making a profit and that keeps you glued to the market trend for the latest updates and news which could affect the market for you to take action immediately so it does not hit you down. So if you say crypto makes one self-employed there is no doubt or argument about it as many millionaires have been made through crypto investment and trading.

That is what we are all been waiting, to see how Trump will push Bitcoin to be a national reserve, although for now, there is some opposition. Although there is news that the DOJ will sell their remaining Bitcoin stash as I have said in the other community, this could be politically motivated.
But let's see how, it just a week or so before Trump goes to the White House and we will see what he will do to make Bitcoin as friendly to everyone specially in the US.
-
Trump expressed his desire to make America a crypto and bitcoin hub for blockchain enthusiasts and it was welcomed by the US citizens to be a good move by Trump and these were amongst the reasons why he was voted for massively in the concluded presidential election.

One week from now Trump will be inaugurated as the President of the USA and the world is patiently waiting to see how his administration will begin their government. Maybe he could start with good and favorable policy formulation and implementation which could see the adoption of Bitcoin and cryptocurrency on the rise. Other nations would follow the same measures to make sure they formulate policies to better allow for easy bitcoin and crypto transactions in their country.
I have no doubt, Trump administration would further facilitate speedy crypto adoption globally as that has been what the world has been waiting for although other nations have started doing that but for the fact that they do not stand tall amongst world powers, they do not really influence nations to follow suit but I believe if the USA doea such, many nation would follow same step because they are being looked up to as a world power.

we have heard of who would trump be appointing in different positions in different departments and a lot of seem to be friendly with crypto so i am not that worried and what is left to do is for all appointments to be official so they can all start their jobs i mean the firing of gary gensler is a positive sign as it is for what is about to come in trump's administration so we can say that he has already started we are just yet to see it be officiated

not only are they looked up to but they are also seen as enemies or threats of other countries so usa being friendly with crypto will certainly raise some eyebrows and intrigue many global leaders

No doubt? People had no doubt he would build a wall, deport illegals, drain the swap, kill ObamaCare, how did that end?
Truly believing in a guy who is known for not keeping his promises seems just so weird to me!
Also, why would they even try to increase the adoption of crypto before they have the coins themselves, look at how they did with the dollar, they push it because they are in control of it, what would the US gain from people in Europe buying 10 million bitcoins for example?

That is to be expected, so let's see how Trump will do everything in his power to make Bitcoin and crypto be in the US. He already had several personnel to be assign on critical position as pro crypto individual, specially in SEC as the last that we have, Gary Gensler is obviously had a hard line stance.
So that's why way to move forward with his policy in the US. Hopefully as well I like to see more companies engaging in like Bitcoin mining in the US and capture the market and become the leading nation.
We already see some US states making Bitcoin as a reserve as well, so everything really looks bright for us and this could trigger a huge bull run.
-
US has lots of problems these days though. The rich people in LA are getting homeless because of the wildfire and theres risk everywhere. People are desperate and its unsure if they have time for Trump's inauguration.
It may just be a small celebration because Trump has to rescue a lot of people and his crypto plans could be delayed.
-
In the USA 45 to 55 percent of the country hate Trump. So he will meet with a to. Of resistance. I am not so sure he will be able to do much. ALSO Los Angeles is burning like mad. There will be a lot of infighting of how to rebuild the city. So crypto may go to the back burner
Yes, but I don't know, there may be a lot of Trump fans in other parts of the world, but in the US if 45%-55% hate Trump then it will be an internal problem that needs to be solved, especially now that the Los Angeles fire which I know as the most highlighted place by the world is a Sea of Fire.
If Trump can resolve the disaster, then Trump's credibility will also rise and vice versa and this will ultimately have an effect on crypto as well.

Trump already has began to list key executive members and as we all know some are crypto enthusiasts and they know how the system works coupled with the economic benefits it has upon the nations economy and her citizens at large. So I believe Trump team would definitely put in all their best to making sure things works out well.
I have no doubt that companies/organizations would definitely aim the USA as their destination if Trumps policy favors crypto and bitcoin miners which would mean a higher revenue to the USA economy and more job opportunity for her citizens. If wining election could trigger a new all time high, I wonder what it would be after inauguration and crypto friendly policy implemented coupled with fact that other nations are beginning to adopt bitcoin as a national reserve with the companies and organisations gearing up to accept bitcoin and cryptos for their business.

No he will be busy with a lot of other things and put crypto on the back burner.
If anyone complains he will say just look at Los Angeles we need to do that first.
I see the LA fire a good opportunity for Trump to delay any crypto moves and go after Global warming activists and illegal immigrants. I think anyone hoping for more trump boosting will not see it any time soon.

like i said many times being a president is no easy job but that is why he was appointed to be the president because he and most of the country believes that he can take on the responsibility besides he will not be the only one acting on these problems he will have many departments and many people to work for him
I see the LA fire a good opportunity for Trump to delay any crypto moves and go after Global warming activists and illegal immigrants. I think anyone hoping for more trump boosting will not see it any time soon.
first of all why would he go after global warming activists when they are just proven right? as a president he can't choose the problems he wants to tackle first he needs to be acting and solving problems in all aspects of the country all at the same time because real people's lives are at stake for each issue he doesn't want to tackle

Let's just wait and see what happens after Trump's inauguration because almost all investors are waiting for January 20th and see what will happen to the crypto market.
Bitcoin is likely to reach ATh again because Trump has also thought about the people who will sit as executives and many are likely crypto enthusiasts.

I wouldn't be so optimistic about the inauguration itself. More so about the decisions that would be taken afterward.
Surely, there will be a little pump, in my opinion, but it would fade in comparison to what would happen along the line.

When it comes to situations such as this, every leader would want to attend to the critical and urgent matter at hand before they think of another so that the people do not worry about their leadership and start questioning their capabilities. So if Trumps begin to look into the LA fire incident, that should not be a thing of worry because in the normal sense that is the right to do at the moment because we are talking of lives and properties. However, if such comes up, the crypto community should be patient with him till the LA fire incident is over then we wait to hear his next line of action before then, his aide responsible for crypto and digital service must have get everything set and prepared for him to implement. We just pray and hope everything works out this way.

I strongly believe Bitcoin will reach a new all-time high again before next week of his inauguration as the bitcoin current price is up and pumping. The wait for Trump's inauguration will soon be over and the possibility of crypto policy and regulations are sacrosanct. For over a week and now the crypto market price was bearish and I believe investors have all taken their position waiting for trumps inauguration for a bull market to commence so they could make good profit.

The development of Bitcoin prices lately is indeed quite difficult to predict. Yes, although in the past few days, the BTC price drop rate has been quite low, but in the end, the price can soar again. And this is getting closer to Trump's inauguration.
Well, BTC's ATH is $ 108,268, while for now, the highest price in 24 hours is $ 100,697. I also really hope there will be a new ATH soon, at least if when Trump is inaugurated and the price can really skyrocket, it's just a matter of waiting for another day. Is it possible to go straight up to ATH $ 120k?

It could be that after Trump is inaugurated, the price of Bitcoin will reach ATH $120K, this price makes sense. because Bitcoin's ATH has reached $108K and it is likely that investor enthusiasm will be high during Trump's inauguration because Trump is a supporter of Bitcoin and will have the power to make policies that support the development of Bitcoin in the US.

This is indeed expected to be one of the big triggers for the increase in BTC prices during the inauguration and also after. It remains to be seen how Trump realizes some of his promises about crypto, that he will make the country more crypto-friendly. And not only that, the problem with the SEC which often hounds crypto with its very strict regulations, will also be re-tested so who knows his policies will be much friendlier to crypto. How long will Trump's inauguration hype last, but at least as long as we can take advantage of the moment for the increase in crypto, it doesn't matter.

Already investors' enthusiasm is very high and all eagerly waiting for Trump's inauguration to see a boost in the price of Bitcoin and crypto as a whole. Trump has long declared his stand on bitcoin and crypto which we all know and has also promised to make good and favorable policies for the crypto community by so doing, bitcoin price soared high during his election victory to a new path and now again, after the inauguration, we are expecting a new path and possibly after implementing the new policy, we can as well see another ath just within this year maybe a first or second quarter, it is possible to achieve.

May be, or maybe - it will do nothing for the sentiment. Nobody can be sure that the event itself will bring much to the price, but we surely anticipate it.

We will have to wait, the good thing is that prior to his inauguration we have seen the price going as high as $100,700. So there are also investors who are willing to put their money again and then wait for Trump to be in the White House.
There are also reports that there will be a Crypto Ball,

And that will be tomorrow, I will assume that it might push the price again.
