Hong Kong seem to be want to be the crypto capital as well.

There are many countries or cities in Asia that claim to be one, or at least try to be. I'm pretty sure Japan and South Korea have a huge volume to compete with Singapore, Hong Kong, etc. I certainly hope liquidity won't be concentrated in one or two countries if it means I won't be able to liquidate to fiat easily. Regardless of what the guys at the top are doing, I'm pretty sure trading volume in my country is more than enough for the market right now. CMIIW.

They are a superpower country, the number 1 in the world and even their US dollar is the global currency. Although BRICS wanted to challenge it, so far it was a failure.

So for Trump to say that the US will be the crypto capital, it means that they are going to embrace it, not necessary to control it as we all know that Bitcoin is decentralized, but most likely they want to mine it as well and then have crypto regulations that is very friendly and then have a lot of Bitcoin and make it is a national reserve.
