You do not have to depend on exchanges before making transaction. Government will find it impossible to ban noncustodial wallets.

But your question is somehow because most countries have government that are supporting bitcoin.

I am from Bangladesh and in this country currently the cryptocurrency is banned and uses of cryptocurrency is illegal as our central bank.
But to be honest it is really easy for accessing the cryptocurrency because of this have the extra features not like the custodial banking system. But it doesn't mean that I don't have any issue while I am using cryptocurrency in this country Even then most of the time I don't face any issue while I am using it but sometime I also face  issue just like that my payments all are on cryptocurrency and on the bank when they asking me the they source of money I can't show them.  Even then we have alternative the mobile banking system what is our current solution.

Many here still don't know much about cryptos, only that BTC is a digital coin and nothing more

It's quite difficult to find anyone who uses BTC around here, companies are even more difficult
Interestingly though, there is a city called Rolante, which is VERY pro Bitcoin, and many people accept BTC there, I would even say that it is one of the cities with the most BTC acceptance in the world, check it out here: https://www.bitcoineaqui.com.br/

Our government is crypto-friendly and that's just for investing or trading in commodity assets.

If it is to make daily transactions to buy goods then it is strictly prohibited and not allowed.
We already have many exchanges that have been regulated by the government.

It's all good here in my country. The regulation is okay but what I don't like was that I can feel monopoly in terms of exchanges or maybe foreign crypto exchanges are not interested in complying. We don't even know what's the result of Binance's issue with the SEC though we can still open the app and it's website but there is no official statement yet from Binance or the authorities about what happened.

The government already has its regulations, and in my own country, the use of crypto is easy based on regulations that can only be used as a commodity asset, while for payments and others it is prohibited.

We must also respect the existing rules, because after all it is an obligation for citizens. And I think this is still okay, because we can still maximize it well.

Since it is P2P, it is hard for regulators to check how people are using it, as only the Blockchain could see those transactions. It is hard for that, and having people use centralized exchanges can force their members to declare.

So, if you don’t go with any of it, it’s still possible to transact using any crypto, and it’s pretty easy if you learn it.

In my country, crypto is illegal so it is illegal to use crypto as a central bank. However, since there are no regulations like banks here, anyone can easily use crypto and the crypto world has the necessary features for that. Since it is banned in my country we cannot use it directly and we have to keep all our identities confidential. There are legal restrictions on using crypto, so if the police catch us there are penalties. I use some websites for crypto transactions that allow me to easily convert to my country currency. However, I can never exchange large funds because I could face serious legal problems if the government were to track my identity.

I thought I saw a similar thread on bitcointalk yesterday, about the condition of crypto users in various countries, and I made a comment I think or I just read that thread through, the thing is that in my country, banks have strict guidelines to block any account that deal on crypto transactions.

But citizens have to rely on p2p since p2p cryptocurrency transactions us fully anonymous and unless the buyer and seller declare such transactions as cryptocurrency transactions.

              -    That's the only problem when cryptocurrency is illegal in a country like yours, mate, how come you're using a VPN anyway when the amount you're withdrawing is, let's say, around $500 that you made profit from cryptocurrency?

Because here in our country, we can transact through p2p features using our local exchange and even on international exchanges that have merchants
that are going to our fiat currency.

He would do it little by little I think since he couldn't make big transactions maybe its going to be flagged if it becomes too big like $10k but $500 I think is just too small for their government to trace.

In my country its not illegal so everyone could just buy even in out ewallets there are programs that allows anyone to invest in crypto.  A lot of exchanges are allowed to operate in my country, cryptocurrency is all open for all.

It is not very easy to use crypto or cash them out in my country because the government still bans Bitcoin or all other crypto payments in my country. Due to which crypto cannot be used openly here and if in any way someone is cheated through crypto then he does not get any legal help. Because the government has clearly banned it and asked to refrain from crypto transactions. However, those who see the bright future of crypto are using crypto and investing at their own risk. This is the picture of our country till now

Crypto is legal in most countries, and since that is the case, crypto transactions go on as normal. If you are talking of countries where BTC is banned, it is in such situations that the people who use crypto in such places run the risk of getting on the wrong side of the law.

The p2p platform is still active functioning very well.
So lot of people trade their cryptocurrency through p2p platform while some of those countries that doesn't allow them trade Bitcoin does it on their black market, like joining specific groups of people to trade between themselves, while some others do trade on the forum as it's safest way to trade crypto coins or Bitcoin.

Transacting via crypto used to be illegal in my country before now but the current administration governing the nation have fully approved cryptocurrency activities so it's no longer a difficult or illegal engagement. That said, people in the crypto community during the time crypto transactions were banned were still able to maneuver the system and make their transactions just that it was kept confidential amongst us to avoid facing the consequences of engaging in government banned activities

In my country there is no prohibition on having digital assets such as BTC and other altcoins, where in my country there are already local exchanges, as long as we can follow the rules of the exchange, then we have no obstacles in buying and selling crypto.

Not on it's own, I don't know a single entity in my country that accepts crypto payments. But, I can use services like Bitrefill to buy gift cards of local ecom sites and purchase anything there, these days ecom sites have plethora of products and can do utility recharges too, it's pretty lit, makes using crypto for irl stuff ez.

You could express your prefer opinion, i think that if all country can legalize for crypto currency it must be very helpful for all crypto currency users. But unfortunately crypto currency is illegal for our country. If we follow in the worldwide, we can see that those country permit legalize they must be out from poverty. So i believe that if our government want to interest for this issues, i think that it will be easy solution for our country. Because without permission from our government and central bank crypto currency use will be very difficult for us. So i expect our government take step for legalize bitcoin and others crypto.

Its using crypto in our daily transactions that is not easy to do but if you mean just trading, its very open to trade crypto from BTC to all other cryptocurrencies like stablecions.

A country that has legalized Bitcoin, it should have been easy but the adoption is not that wide. I think the adoption of Stablecoins might spread faster than Bitcoin if the government will just vouch for these stablecoins.

However, great importance must be attached to the fact that for now, Crypto has a high potential but its integration into the daily transactions is quite challenging especially for individuals who are not accustomed to using Bitcoin for their daily transactions. The legal system of countries that provide some permission to Bitcoin should also give it a better ground but here case is not so simple. Here, we can observe that there are other solutions that are quickly adopted by the public when it comes to stablecoins. From here we can expected more support or guarantee from government for stablecoins, we may expect more daily use of the stablecoins due to the fact that they are stable ones.

Despite regulations and stringent laws by several governments against cryptocurrency, transactions have still been carried out in my country. users successfully bye pass internet protocols with the aid of VPN. They veil their IP addresses just to make it look as though they are transacting from other countries. Mesh network too is also another antic; this is possible as users transact directly without the knowledge of Government regulatory bodies and some other ways that make daily digital asset business thrive despite government laws.

The government doesn't have any control over the blockchain so transactions can happen even if a country ban in their region so which answers your question why people able to make transactions when there is a ban.

And operating platforms in a banned country is different and that is not possible when ban in place whereas people can use VPN or proxies to access the platform and keep using it as long as the platform accept KYC documents from your region.

One thing is setting a rules and another thing is implementing and enforcing it, so the reason why you will see some countries bans a digital asset and people still do it from their is because they don't have the resources to completely restrict everyone, there are countries in the world that since they banned any digital assets nobody from there has navigated to go against it, though crypto space is one of the place that is very difficult to ban everyone in the country because there might be so many other route, for example exchanges and non custodian wallet for saving coins but it actually depends on a country.

Although we're not legally allowed to use it to purchase goods and services (as a legal tender), we have no difficulty in exchanging it in our local currency. Banks have been disallowing accounts related to crypto trading before but they are more open now. At this point, the main issues with us is the local exchanges that aren't up to par yet with international exchanges and also the blocking of accounts.

We can also note that coming up with a ban is just one half of the enormous task that governments have in handling the online environment. Therefore, resources, level of oversight, and technical readiness become the reasons that while in some countries it is banned in name only. However, there are developed countries today that have managed to keep the use of digital assets controlled to the extent that the crypto community’s manoeuvring space is nearly nonexistent. Thus, the non-custodial wallets or giving the global exchanges the primary role once more show that the people who are engaged in digital assets will always find a way to have interaction with them as the full control is so far nearly unattainable.

Usually, P2P and OTC are straightforward ways for investors to deposit and withdraw funds from this market. The government probably knows this, but they're not regulating it because crypto isn't considered illegal property, they just haven't specified how to use it yet.

The most dangerous scenario is if people use crypto for payments instead of fiat, because this is seen as damaging to fiat and could be severely punished. That's why crypto in my country is still just a speculative asset rather than a potential means of payment.

Yeah, the Vietnamese government hasn't accepted crypto yet, they just haven't banned it. Crypto trading activities still carry a lot of legal risk if the Vietnamese government decides to ban crypto in the future following the "guidance" from the Chinese government, so investors always avoid mentioning crypto in transfer details.

Crypto is only used as a financial investment tool for the people. USDT is utilized to transfer money from overseas to Vietnam easily and cost-effectively. No one dares to use crypto for payments, that action could lead to severe penalties for users if they don't have some influence in society.

Surprisingly, Vietnam is still a country with many people who love investing in crypto. They are willing to take risks with this new asset class to seek opportunities to change their financial standing.

In my country, if there is a sudden influx of funds into my bank account so i need to provide proof of source. Of course for small funds it is not a problem. However, since i am not authorized to sell crypto directly here, i exchange it into my country's currency through some site. I don't want to get into any legal trouble so i always try to stay private. Also, nothing can be bought with crypto in my country so meaning there is no online shopping, which means we can't spend crypto directly. Whenever i earn money from crypto, i convert that money into my country currency.

If you don't want to have problems with the law, make transactions with privacy, because each country's policy is different. In my country, crypto is allowed so I have no problem when making these transactions on local exchanges.
Although taxed, because the government has allowed it, I feel safe.

I understand that there are legal differences from one region to another. Therefore, when in a supportive system and conforming to the laid down regulations one feels secure. That stated, you still need to be prudent with the sharing of your data during the times of transaction. Cryptocurrencies are legal but that doesn’t make everyone associated with it deserving of a trust. Of course I still believe that personal details should be concealed not with a view to evasion of the law but for such things as data manipulation or fraud amongst others. Legality offers predictability that is complemented by the concept of privacy to give security and protection.

Many countries are now thinking about crypto legalization and my country has also done research on crypto a few days ago. When it is legalized in a country people will be able to use it safely and risk free. My country government does not want to legalize crypto due to some negative reasons. Some of the notable reasons were concerns about money laundering and other illegal activities related to unregulated cryptocurrency trading. However, a country government can accept crypto as legal if it wants to, following certain rules and regulations. But there is no specific law in my country that considers crypto illegal.
