Title: Bitcoin as payment system

We all know that Bitcoin is one of the best ways to invest your money. However, we know that Satoshi wanted to change money as we know it rather than new investment model.

How do you think, will we be using bitcoin as payment system? Or it will stay as it is and this bubble blow up one day?  Undecided

And how do you see it's future?

I personally dont think using bitcoin as money is necessary to justify its price.. even if thats how Satoshi invented it.. I think as a digital store of value and a liaison between USD and alt markets is more than enough to justify very high prices.. I'll reassess my thoughts with lightning network though.. but right now it seems silly to think of purchasing a cup of coffee with bitcoin considering its crazy volatility and high fees.

I think if everyone would want to pay in bitcoin, than a single large player would emerge with their own wallet, and than you simply deposit bitcoin into your "spending" wallet and wait for it to confirm, and than you go shopping.  All the retailers would have an account with the same wallet as you, a business account, and you would be able to instantly pay for anything without fees, because its like interwallet transfer.  It's kind of like sending the convenience store clerk money through coinbase for a purchase, i think it's free, coinbase to conbase.  I like this better, a visa debit that exchanges the exact amount of bitcoin you need to make a purchase.  No transaction fees, because the bitcoin is already in the card wallet, and just as fast as cash.

Because of the very high volatility, it seems unlikely to be widely used for now, but if the marketcap volume reaches trillion dollars, the situation may change easily in future.

Yes I see at the coming future bitcoin as payment system. Bitcoin will be needed and more popular than now.

Bitcoin will become a global payment system one day. And I'm very sure of that. If everyone already has knowledge about bitcoin, then bitcoin will grow as a payment system. Bitcoin will be increasingly preferred because bitcoin offers easy transactions.

Bitcoin is still not enough to be used for payment system due to bitcoin is bad for payment system especially for small amount of payment under $1, the fees transaction is more expensive than the value will be sent but i am sure in the future bitcoin can be used as payment system than just as instrument of investment due to the developer of bitcoin is still working to make bitcoin be better in the future.

Sorry, guys! But I think both of you missed something because according to Wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/) since 2017, country's government officially recognized bitcoin as a method of payment, and regulators have just warned the public that bitcoin does not have legal protection, "as the currency is not issued by any monetary authority and is therefore not entitled to legal claims or guarantee of conversion. So, it's very clear that it's being used as payment since 2017.

Also, there were more than 100 companies and retailers worldwide that accept Bitcoin as payment for their products and services. I know of some cryptos being used as payment too, like Ethereum, Litecoin, Monero, Bitcoin Cash, Dash, etc but the most widely used at present is Bitcoin. Below is the list. As long as I know, Bitcoin is in development and improving many existing shortages. It should be possible to be the next payment system since it offers flexibility, simplify, speed, and safety for payment system. A modern life will need it to supports their business and life necessity.

Actually the initial purpose of creating bitcoin is to make payments to all countries easily, cheaply and quickly. But now bitcoin has another function, bitcoin is an investment. Bitcoin as a payment is already happening, although not as widely as fiat. There are still roadblocks along the way and governments are still trying to create proper regulations. Once those are done, we'll see a wider adoption.

I do not believe that something will change in the use of bitcoin. It has been used mainly as a means of accumulating value, and will continue to be used.

In our country, we don't use Bitcoin only as an investment we use for paying our utilities, buying a mobile load and so many others. I hope people won't see Bitcoin as investment they need to utilize it.

Yes unfortunatelly bitcoin need utilize is not easy will takes long time up to it happening, i think it will takes about ten year later because bitcoin is just the beginning the people need educational about the bitcoin.

Before no there is lightning network, bitcoin transaction fee are very expensive if calculated from the current price.
But after there is lightning network, bitcoin transaction fee become very cheap, even almost zero.
However, I think the innovation can't should stop, let us continue to support bitcoin so that it can be used as a legitimate payment instrument throughout the world.

I think you have to get rid of your doubts because bitcoin is not a bubble. Bitcoin is currently more used for investment because of the benefits of the value of bitcoin that can grow. I think in the future there is a possibility that bitcoin will be used as a payment method in the future.

Bitcoin is not used for the purpose it was created. It is not good as a payment option because of it fees and slow transaction confirmation. There a lot of new coins that works better as payment option so bitcoin is more of an investment

In my opinion, Bitcoin will not be a payment instrument used in everyday life in the future. I actually see bitcoin will be a very important asset that will replace the function of gold. For payment systems, I see Altcoin that will take on that role.

We are already using it as a payment system but unfortunately, only a few merchants are accepting it currently and because of its nature of being volatile, many are taking this opportunity to make it as an investment instead of as a payment option because of the possibility of growing in value. We know that it needs to be circulated so that people would continue to use it and some would know it but we can only reach that point when it would have a stable value then.

Bitcoin will be a pioneer for the payment system in the future, I already feel it with altcoins NPXS or PundiX.

Lots of NPXS are used at supermarkets to buy fruits and vegetables, and at the cafe to buy a cup of coffee.

Well, the main idea and motive was to make it a safer way of making electronic transactions but we the adopters made an add-on onto the technology by taking it to a whole new level and making it a digital asset. This doesn't kill the dream of making Bitcoin a safer means of making transactions. There are companies and stores accepting BTC as a form of payment.

I don't think we can used bitcoin as payment system since this currency is very volatile and it will take time to send payment using bitcoin, Maybe there's another coins that we can used for the payment system in future.

Yes, I agree that bitcoin is created as a replacement of money. But currently it is more used as an investment which does not serve its original purpose. If more people used bitcoin as a mode of payment, I think its price will grow bigger because the demand will be getting higher everyday.

As a payment system bitcoin now works very badly. Basically, everyone buys bitcoin in order to keep it and make a profit from raising its price. I do not see it change in the near future. This may end up bitcoin very badly: it can drop very low in price.

Bitcoin was created to be used as a payment option that had worked on the shortcomings of the fiat currency. It is used more as an investment than a payment option because its value has  risen beyond expectations. 1 bitcoin is worth thousand of dollars . I see other altcoins as payment options than bitcoin because new coins created has more speed and are cheaper than bitcoin

It is possible to see bitcoin as payment system because we are now in the technology era and I guess that in the future, the new technology will come out. And I think bitcoin can be a pioneer in the financial system that will solve the financial problem in every country. But yes, the governments need to think about bitcoin and they need to learn the basic of bitcoin before they accept bitcoin and use bitcoin as the new payment system.
