i think Whitepaper give an indication of the whole business. firstly, it has to be more than 20 pages long. It shows that the team is passionate about their business. Secondly, it has to have a good detailed images of the product flow. Thirdly, whether the products are doable or not.
from the WP and website interface alone, most can see whether an ICO has put in effort or not.

I don't think now is a good time for any ICO, cause all of the ICO are delaying their roadmap because of the flooding market. If you want to participate in ICO, then wait for next year and join the STO, it's more secure for investor than tradition ICO

If you really want to invest in ICOs, I think the safest place for you to buy is on binance launchpad or in W12.io because they gives assurance to projects that are scam and frauds. But try to consider in investing in top altcoins as well as they have lesser risk compare to ICOs.

All ICOs aren't scams but most of the new ICO, IEO are Scams. Few projects are coming regularly that are good but it is very difficult to find out the real project for everyone. The recent EMIREX project, IQ Cash project are good to invest. Before invest in any project, an investor need to research about that project.

ICO now hmmm is something else. You can look into IEOs on popular exchanges like Binance, Poloniex etc. However, it really had to participate. Some IEO ends in 4 mins so if you aren't fast you will. Alternative you can invest in small market cap coin. Which my favorite is $AWC by atomic wallet and some few others

This is not really the time for ICO because too many scam projects are out there with their major I'm of fleecing people of their hard earned money, you need to be very watchful, check team members very well and so study the project's goals and roadmap. Holding ETH now is best choice i agree. ETH may hit 0.05 BTC rate very soon which may around $600. Investment in ICO is very risky if you fail to choice right project. But investment in ICO may be a good choice if you find a proper project which has future potentiality.

I think if you want hold ethereum just do it because if you have patience definitely you will earn huge profits from ethereum still the ico markets not good for investment lotof ICOs are scam and useless but many new potential projects are coming everyday in crypto market.

Listed in exchange is not reliable basis to pick the token for investment. Some times exchange is just part of a plan but it is not the answer to become successful. Better chose the tokens with an active community conversation and not full of bots.

Why do you need to have ICO tokens if you have already 5 ETH? Buying ICO tokens will be very risky for you, while holding that Ethereum is a better choice. I think the best option is just keeping that Ethereum because it is a much better option. Just take a look at the history of its price move, you will see that it is very the potential to hold Ethereum.
