The English and some few European countries have accused Russia of poisoning an ex agent of Russia. Tension has built between Russia and England with England set to impose sanctions on Russia. Do you think England can impose sanctions on Russia and will go unaffected?
-
The United Kingdom is one of the few countries that has quite toughly responded to the unraveled Russian aggression on the world stage and really imposed a number of significant sanctions against Russia. On the one hand, Western Europe introduces its sanctions against Russia, on the other hand, it tries to flirt with it and therefore they are not as effective as they expected when they were adopted.
In fact, by his actions, the Putin regime put the world on the brink of a third world war. Even if this does not happen, such a policy for Russia is completely dead-end and should lead to a drop in its overall potential and a decrease in its influence on the world stage.
-
England nevertheless introduced its sanctions against Russia because of the poisoning of her father and daughter Skripale by the special services of Russia. In addition, after a while she even strengthened them because of Russia's non-recognition of her guilt. In addition, international sanctions are periodically imposed on Russia due to the incessant aggression against Ukraine. Russia itself is driving itself to a dead end and is moving towards international isolation.

Apparently for Europe there are other values, not human values, because I do not see any real sanctions against Russia. You see what the reaction of the international community after the mh17 Civilian was shot down? And now look at how the heads of state reacted to this, who were supposed to impose stronger sanctions.

I agree that Europe should have responded more severely to Russia's illegal actions in the international arena, including on a civilian plane shot down by Russian military from Ukraine. Now the Netherlands is conducting an additional investigation with regard to Ukraine why it did not then close its skies over its territory. For the invading Russian military, whose task was to destabilize the situation in Ukraine, it would not matter whether the Ukrainian authorities closed the sky at that time or not. In addition, Europe, even after this, for a long time did not recognize the invasion of Russian armed forces on the territory of Ukraine.
-
England, as promised, quickly and decisively imposed sanctions against Russia in connection with this incident. Moreover, in connection with an improper response to them from Russia, they have repeatedly expanded.
-
Now, it seems, the same Novichok, which is a chemical warfare agent, which stands alongside such chemical agents of the previous two world wars as sarin and soman, recently poisoned the leader of the opposition Navalny. Putin seems to have neither intelligence nor imagination. Now, for this, Europe is going to impose sanctions against Russia.

We have to appreciate what a country has done to quickly react to all these incidents, but in the end everything returns to the country's own politics, because after all politics is difficult to predict because the principle of interest takes precedence. we will see the continuation in the future hopefully consistent.

First of all, I specify that I am neither English nor Russian. Throughout history, these two great states have colonized many countries. because they are great states and they have a right to do anything. Even if I come to this subject, I cannot say this is guilty, this is not guilty This war of giants will necessarily kill intelligence and agents, secret wars, intelligence wars will continue. Because the most important thing today is access to information, which is even more important than money.

It must be admitted that the two countries are indeed very strong in a very adequate and recognized weaponry. but it is true that you said the role of agent and intelligence is also very much needed, maybe until now. although the roles are much different, now it is more about trade and economic wars. so that the need for access to information is very much a benchmark.

In connection with Russia's military aggression against Ukraine, England has now imposed various economic sanctions on Russia, and is also actively helping Ukraine with the supply of various weapons. The Russian economy is weakening very quickly. England has nothing to fear, since the entire civilized world has united against the aggressor country, and about 40 states provide military assistance to Ukraine.

“Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky and British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak signed a bilateral security agreement on Friday, January 12, 2024.
The document entitled “Agreement on Security Cooperation between Ukraine and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland” was signed by the leaders of the two countries after negotiations at the Mariinsky Palace in Kyiv.
This agreement was the first among security treaties to implement the agreements agreed upon during the Vilnius NATO summit between Ukraine, members of the Group of Seven and the states that joined them.
The UK's obligations under this document will remain in force until Ukraine joins NATO, President Vladimir Zelensky said after signing."
This is a great step to revive the international security system. As you know, after the collapse of the USSR, Ukraine was the third country in terms of nuclear weapons, and voluntarily renounced its possession in exchange for an international treaty ensuring its security and integrity, which was called the “Budapest Memorandum.” It was signed by four countries: Ukraine, Russia, Great Britain and the USA. What happened in 2014 - you all know very well - one of the signatories grossly, and not for the first time, violated its international obligations. In the end, it turned out that this document turned out to be a simple piece of paper that did not provide anything... And after 2022, the world realized that a new concept and systems of counterbalances and deterrence were needed. This is what we are seeing now!

All these are allegations that can not be substantiated by the hater's of Russia all what is happening is interest between Russia and the united kingdom so one needs to be careful when analyzing these kind of matters as the two countries involved here are world super powers so there's little that they can do to each other as the two countries here have there supporters all over the world. There's no sanctions today that you will give to Russia that will have significant effect on the country because countries like Russia are almost self sufficient and They don't really depends on foreign import to survive. Russia is one nation that is on the part of claiming the world power so all these going up and down accusing each other is geared towards the silent war going on between them

How many sanctions did the west placed on Russia that will affect it's economy?
They can't stop Russia from rising up because they have resources to be economic power due to their fuel supply. And they have BRICS that the West can't isolate anymore. It's not possible to make unlike before.
But what does England have that Russia would need?
-
It is quite funny to hear about “self-sufficiency” of Russia, if you are interested in facts instead of reading propaganda :)
After the sanctions imposed after Russia's full-scale terrorist aggression against Ukraine, we have easily verifiable facts:
1. The “Second Army of the World” - not only failed to fulfill its tasks, but also lost part of the territory of Russia (Kursk People's Republic).
2. The “most powerful economy” and the military-industrial complex of Russia is unable to provide its terrorist army, neither quantitatively nor technologically - begging from rogue countries like Iran (UAVs, missiles, etc.), North Korea (shells, mines, manpower), ....
3. the myth of “unparalleled armaments” burst like a soap bubble - C300/C400, Armata tank, Su-57 - all these proved incapable of countering Western weapons of the 1970s.
4. Population decline has reached previously unprecedented levels, causing huge problems in the labor market. The demographic problem became almost the number 1 problem.
5. “War economy” destroys the financial system and leads to mass impoverishment of people. Here I will pay special attention - study what “war economy” is and why the GDP of “war economy” is a “hollow sound”
6. Ministry of Economy raises the interest rate “to the sky”.
7. Gazprom is on the verge of bankruptcy, and for the second year is claiming previously unseen losses....
8. According to the results of the first half of 2024, 4363 legal entities were recognized bankrupt in the Russian Federation. This is 40% more than in the same period of 2023.
9. Most key indicators of the economy - classified and no longer published in open sources.
10. “High-tech” Russian companies, left without Western components and technologies, are trying by all unthinkable means to import at least some equipment into the country, since Russia itself does not produce even 1% of the necessary high-tech elements. For example, Skolkovo (the “flagship of technology”) filed a bankruptcy suit in the Arbitration Court of Moscow. The pathetic parody of processors “Baikal” did not pass the state commission, and most (even state companies) refused to realize anything significant on it.....
You can go on listing “successes of the Russian economy” for a long time :)
And all this as a consequence of the attack on small Ukraine - a small (compared to Russia) country, without nuclear weapons, a huge army, and “the strongest economy”, without 40% of the world's natural resources.
And as a result, even yesterday the country that had potential and importance on the world stage is today a criminal country, a pariah country, and.... a raw material, submissive, appendage of China and India, actually giving them oil for free :)
For general education - the louder the propaganda screams that “everything is fine”, the worse the situation really is, learn history :) And IM question to finish - if sanctions do not bring any noticeable damage to Russia - why Putin (international criminal) and all his entourage, at the first opportunity nags to cancel sanctions ? If there is no harm from them ? :)
PS I'll warn you right away - my relatives live in Russia, I know about the real situation firsthand, from people living there. The city is not Moscow, but it is one of the largest cities in Russia.
-
It would be unfair to say it's only Russia delivering propaganda to the public. The West has all the propaganda as well. We are all receiving these propaganda while people are not believing everything that comes from Russia, they are also not believing the news from Europe and US.
Every people today knows how to investigate truth. If Russia is just as the terrorist you are saying, they will not be supported by different countries.
The European countries are aware that US are buying products from Russia while these European countries are sanctioned not to buy from Russia. So pushing EU to go war against Russia will have a long deliberation between officials.

countries do not play moral police
a country could not care less if another country is unlawfully terrorizing another country as long as that benefits them especially the us they have multiple military bases in different countries in different regions and they will help any country if it fits their agenda we need to realize that any government will put their personal political interest before any other country
they will even help spread propaganda if it helped them

Seems tensions in Europe is getting much more bigger than before and innocent civillians are the most affected in these type things the sanctions and wars. What could be the best solution for this that the violators would be put in justice and then sanctions were lifted? Is it really war the solution to officially achieve peace? This is a never ending war unless one has to find a way to cut i's greediness. Communists and the West must stop or else we will experience nuclear winter.

That people who are not the perpetrators of the war suffer as a consequence of the war is a fact. Unfortunately, the world is very strongly integrated and interdependent, so if one “node” begins to behave criminally - many people around them feel it.... But let's return to the essence of your answer. I answer as a citizen of Ukraine, who directly observes what Russia has been doing in Ukraine since 2014. “This is a never ending war unless one has to find a way to cut i's greediness.” - tell me - why then in 1945, Germany was essentially destroyed, and not “curbed greediness” and stopped, for example, somewhere on the borders of Moscow ? :) I will answer you - because such regimes DO NOT STOP. And as proof - I recommend to listen and watch the official information channels of the Kremlin, where for many years the narrative “after Ukraine, we will regain the Baltic States, then we will go to Europe and return everything as it was before in the Soviet times” has been carried to the masses. And it's not alcoholics on the street who are boasting - it's OFFICIAL persons and representatives of the Kremlin authorities. To make it even clearer, and this seems to me to be the best example, “stopping” such a war is the same as stopping treatment of a cancer patient, saying “medicines only make it worse, if you don't treat it, it won't develop. Don't do anything and you will live well” Do you want to know how it will end? I think you know very well how it ends. Today “Russian world” is a cancer of the modern world, as unpleasant as it sounds.

Ironic isn't it? It's similar to the US Government demonizing and antagonizing China but American businessmen are also trading with them. On the EU countries, it's still every man for himself that will win at the end of the day. No coalition could stop the brunt of their hungry citizens.
Your comment also reminded me of the Nord Stream pipelines that were bombed. Several investigations points out it's sabotaged and an arrest warrant was also issued against a suspected Ukranian national. There are speculations that what happened is connected to a US Government agency.
-
There have been many investigation about Nord Stream 2. The Germans have their own investigation, the Russian and the US have their own investigation. All are circumstantial. But one thing is to be answered is who benefits when it's destroyed?
Russia and Germany spent billions for it to be built. So why destroy it when they both were at peace before the so called invassion started? The Nord Stream 1 is still operational by the way.
Both sides has a lot propaganda but it all boils down to who desperately needs money.

I think Russians are over doing in there actions, maybe they feel too powerful and I don't know if they are trying to drag a 3rd world war. There is no day someone would come online and hear any good news about this country always fight, conflict and violence are they not thinking of the effects that may have on their citizens and even the country. I haven't heard of a case where the English men are involved in, well I can't tell if I would have an effect or not but england is one of the biggest countries in Europe.

The reason that Russia launched a terrorist war in Ukraine in 2022 is very trivial.... By attacking Ukraine in 2014 (this is the date of the war, not 2022), Russia violated all international agreements related to the security of Ukraine, ignored rules and rights, and decided to show everyone that it is “above everyone else”. At the same time, the silent behavior of the Western world and the world in general, during the period since 2014, when Russia occupied part of Ukraine (Crimea, part of Luhansk and Donetsk regions), gave Russia an excuse to think that all this will go unpunished, and the world will continue to be “soft and cowardly”. If tough sanctions and isolation of Russia and large-scale military and financial aid to Ukraine had been imposed since 2014, we would have already forgotten about this problem....
PS Impunity breeds permissiveness

No one remembers again if Russia was once sanctioned ever before because they are waxing strong and keep wagging war on Ukraine soil.
It's like the sanction didn't in any way affect their economy, or have them beg for the lift of their sanction because it is affecting them economically and otherwise.
I remember years ago during the heat of the sanction given to Russia, everyone thought the sanctions given is going to affect them, but here they are today standing firm and unshaken about the US
-
Seems Russia and other sanctioned countries are now eyeing to get involved in Bitcoin investments as what president Putin descirbe as the west is weaponizing the dollar so they have no choice but to create their own currency like BRICS but since president Trump is trying to intensify trade wars and tariffs if those countries will insist so maybe Bitcoin would be their best choice.

Remember this post, it will be the best proof that russia is a “paper
tiger bear” :)
Very soon, in “great Russia, which is not affected by sanctions”, food cards* will be introduced for the population. First in small regions, then it will become a systemic solution to “nonexistent problems in an economy that is developing”.
ration cards* - a minimum limited set of food products, due to the weak and falling into the abyss economy, when the population can not get the minimum necessary set for survival.
-
And I will add one more indicator that will confirm that “everything is good with the economy in Russia” :)
Freezing the money deposits of the population in banks to finance the terrorist war. Just the other day someone from the government of a terrorist country said about it, or rather that it will not happen. But as we already know - if the Kremlin liars say “it won't happen” - then it definitely will. Judging by the indicators and hysterics in the Kremlin's koloirs - it is highly likely to happen in the 1-2 quarter of 2025. Probably it will be presented not as “freezing of deposits” but as “temporary blocking of funds to preserve the income of citizens”. :)
-
After the power from the soft-hearted Democrats passed to the pragmatic and quite cynical Republicans - the process of preparing the electorate for the new vector has begun in Russia, and through propaganda I start to put new narratives into their heads - “love the USA”, “the USA has always been our friend”, “we don't obey their orders - we just wanted it that way ourselves”, “the tsar is not weak, the tsar wanted it himself”, ..... :)
And believe me - in a couple of months, the crowd that yesterday squealed with joy at the words “hit the US with a nuclear missile”, tomorrow will be kissing the US flag in a hickey! The slave system is convenient for under-furrers - the ruler tells you who to love and who to hate and you will change your opinion exactly as long as the ruler needs ;D

trump does not even sound that threatened by brics and honestly i also can't tell what would brics be able to do to affect the us dollar they seem to have not come up with just one currency that would unite them all and could replace the us dollar at the same time each of them would want to push the currency of their own country
so maybe Bitcoin would be their best choice.
but it is not theirs though it is no one's and everyone's at the same time you can own a bitcoin or more but no one can own the entire bitcoin network i do not know if brics would be okay dethroning the us dollar with a currency that is not issued by any of their central banks

The idea of a single BRICS currency, was a failure. At the first stage, China wanted to do it by “pushing” the yuan as a settlement currency within BRICS, the second failure was at BRICS2024, when Russia insisted on the development and launch of a single BRICS currency with almost mandatory dedollarization. The idea was not supported by the majority of countries, which do not live in an alternative reality, and do not violate international laws, and at the same time realize that they need to interact with the rest of the developed world, international settlements in the economy of which are based on SWIFT.

It seems they have another problem right now because Trump will give them headaches when it comes to tariffs and stuff if they insist to go against America. But what I like about the Trump administration is that they don't want wars so maybe they will soon end the ongoing war between Ukraine and Russia including the Middle Eastern conflict if I am not wrong because they will only focus on eliminating one enemy the terrorists including cartels. Hopefully wars of ge world will end because countless of innocent lives has already been sacrificed.

how would the us be able to stop these wars when even the united nations could not do it? the israel-palestine conflict is now in a ceasefire but it could still escalate again if usa were to stop any war there is only one way to do it and it is to make sure one nation lose so hard that they can no longer fight the opposing country
unless they do not want to get involved there is nothing much they can do because it is still up to other countries whether they would like to stop the war or not yet

The UN, the Red Cross and many other “international humanitarian missions” are long-standing rotten, corrupt and criminal organizations that solve other people's problems with our money. The UN does not fulfill its mission, moreover, it does everything to prevent the isolation of pariah and terrorist countries. The Red Cross is a 100% corrupt structure, under the cover of which not only corrupt cases but also outright criminal cases are carried out. And the USA is a real power that does not care about the fears of some pathetic Kremlin fuhrers, the USA can not tell touching stories, but can take and do what others are afraid of and what terrorists like Putin and Russia do not expect.
