Title: Crypto communities
Post by: Morrower on October 09, 2018, 04:06:29 PM
Hey guys! I need your help.

Can you recommend me some social networks or communities where I could find more information about crypto world and mining? It will be also cool if I could find some crypto professionals there.
I plan to start a private beta test soon and need to find testers for it.

I'm sure there's a big amount of such platforms and I don't know where should I start from..

I've seen some Telegram channels dedicated to crypto but they were like closed ones - only moderator is able to post there.
I don't really know where to find someone who will invite me to crypto community chat..

What type of testers are you looking for?
There is an experts lounge in this forum, maybe you can start here? https://www.altcoinstalks.com/index.php?board=271.0

the first time that Ether's price had fallen below its valuation for one year. One Ether cost US $ 266 on August 13, 2018, far smaller than last year's lowest price of US $ 304 on August 14, 2017. Ether tokens are the reference for many other tokens that do ICO, so the Ether price affects the price of most other tokens.

as I know, active in the forum is the best, because there is a lot of knowledge here, you just have to find out which topics are good and which are not.
In addition, telegrams are also a lot of discussion groups, you just need to look for them and often ask seniors, so that your insights improve.

Github and some forums like bitcointalk and this very platform can come in handy. A lot of professionals here that can help you meet your target. Just create a good thread in the right section and you are good to go. All the best in your search

You can find the most crowded telegram crypto currency groups. Most of them are not closed groups you can discuss with other members. Also you can follow some news channel on Telegram so you can learn easily what’s happening in the crypto world.

You can use popular social networks such as Facebook and Linkedin.
One of the things I did in the past to get beta testers is to use beta sites for users, such as GetWorm and BetaList, to help draw attention to my products and get the first test users. You can try them.

Crypto community means Facebook, Twitter, Telegram, LinkedIn, Google ads, Reddit, Slack and others. One can easily communicate with cryptocurrency via Facebook and Twitter.

Each site has good info about cryptocurrency, and I think you can get much news related to the crypto itself. But be careful to read any information on that site because you don't know which is the true news and which is the false news and you need to filter on your own.

Yes, I like crypto forums but I also want to receive some news. People here write mostly about their questions and situations, discuss the market state.
Even when some news are posted they disappear between all these numerous discussion topics.
Moreover it's hard to predict if a person is good at crypto and beta testers don't shout about their presence.

I'll try to look through Telegram groups. Maybe you can advice some certain ones? It will help me a lot.

I can't tell you the exact information as it will be private test. The only thing I can tell you that it will be something really new and exciting! :)

I've checked Reddit and there are still many people without knowing the point but some subreddits are really good. Can you recommend something special?

Sure! You may find many good subreddits where you find more helpful new and information you are looking for.
So what skills does a tester must have?

He preferably should be an IT specialist with crrypto understanding. That are the main points, but he can also be a simple internet user as I have to collect all possible feedbacks.

Fully agree with you! Don't think that Facebook for instance has a wide range of good groups and publications. Lots of people create false topics in order to gain more audience and promote themselves.
But how can I distinguish good news from bad ones?

Hadn't heard of it but it will be not surprising.
What they do now is that they ask to take a photo and send them in order to prove it's you..
And it happens after the SMS verification. I don't think they have a right to do that, especially when they always speak about privacy.

You know, there are many users which would send their passport scan if they'll ask as no one think that big corporation will cheat people like this..

Campaign that leads to lose of users? I don't know. They understand that biggest amount of their users will stay with them and they believe that no one will create a kind of new social network that will replace Facebook.
That's the main reason why do they feel permissiveness.

Yes, you can find such testers. You need to come up with motivation for them. You can give them bonuses according to the results of testing. It may not be money, but love bonuses associated with your service.

Crypto Community Building we are big believers in community-building. We have invested heavily in it as a firm, contributing to the ecosystem in various ways that are consistent with our values (e.g., fostering diversity in tech, supporting women entrepreneurs and immigrant entrepreneurs). And we have invested heavily in it across our portfolio companies. Our insight a decade ago that developers were becoming the kings of IT led to a fruitful investment thesis, led by my partner Chip, around developer driven adoption and community building (as exemplified by our investments in MongoDB, Codecademy, Crashlytics and Firebase).

Most of them just copying each other, copypaste of news, articles and so on. I personally watch youtube bloggers, only them, i don't even read. Rarely write, today is exception.

Crypto  community  is  about  ownership feeling, not just that one  is  part of something  bigger,  but  that one have  some  skin  in  the  game. Strong  community  are  indispensable for  long-term  health  of  decentralized  network.

Huge crypto changes is in the air. Some of them are intended to mislead the community and some intentionally created to help the community earn big enough through the unity and trust. Better you search the good crypto channel to find more about it.

So many crypto communities, especially in this social media. Many groups are created, and most of them are open groups, and you can talk to any participant. For more details, you can look for it on Google, there are many reviews there.
Most of them just copying each other, copypaste of news, articles and so on. I personally watch youtube bloggers, only them, i don't even read. Rarely write, today is exception.
In that community situation is different? Some of channels have more money, more everything (journalists, newsmakers, writers), others don't have that opportunity so they copying each other.

I don't know any of the mining group but I am concern for your security. May you please take care of what you participated in the future because there are a lot of scam group that wants your money gone. Be careful buddy and take a good search.
Totally agree. Most of the communities are just groups of bots created for ads. And all the announcements are ads. To investigate ICO's I use icobench

That's the exact reason why I decided to ask for advice. I mean to have enough time to check everything in order not to get into scam.
It takes a lot of time to search everything manually so people who are into it may give me some choise.

there extremely is not any association between bitcoin worth and altcoin costs. what happens is that the majority of the days once bitcoin goes down, altcoins go down with it conjointly. and once bitcoin has rallies and attracts plenty of latest investors the altcoins will have their pumps.

i say new investors as a result of that's however altcoins get massive pumps, otherwise the recent investors do not invest in pumping altcoins that a lot of and that they sometimes get out quick creating the pumps fail presently. however the newbies continually contribute to the largest pumps.

just keep in mind that this can be not a rule. there are several exceptions to that. as an example there are times once bitcoin rises however altcoins still dump.

I think there are a lot of platforms where you can place your project and let investors know more about it. It's not a big problem.
The problem is that there are hundreds or even thousands of people like you which are looking for investments. And you have to be really unique in order to catch their eye.

Finding a platform and a way to attract investors is not such a big problem. It is much more important that your project was not just interesting but also solved the problems of the majority here and now. Not a little important is the promotion of the project-many burned at this stage.
