Incentivised Posting / Shill / Re: How do you define popular crypto?
« on: April 23, 2019, 01:32:46 AM »
I would say a coin is popular if it has reached a high market cap. I usually have less interest in these coins and more in the coins that are not popular. It's like getting into Facebook when everyone knows about rather than getting into Facebook before is reaches its full adoption. The opportunity is a lot more if you get in early on.

To find opportunities early on, I look for new projects. I found a decent opportunity with Veil Project because it's a new privacy coin that is making a lot of fast progress. It's development goals are good because it wants to make a blockchain on which all transactions are anonymous and its operational performance is also well because its team realizes hype needs to be maintained. The project keeps adding to its list of exchanges and that shows the team knows development and project awareness are both important.

Right now I'm trading VEIL because it has the ability to do really well in the coming months. It is a new privacy coin created by the same guy that created PIVX. I expect him to lead his new project into the same direction he led PIVX, and that is up. He did really good marketing with PIVX and even got the coin as a UFC fight sponsor. Right now VEIL is under the radar because his main focus is on development, development, and development. We can expect that as soon as a better public wallet is out, the founder will use his strong marketing skills to get this coin in front of everyone.

Incentivised Posting / Shill / Re: Short or long term investment

Both are good depending on the token. If I see some token got dumped hard because of certain news, I expect a dead cat bounce and I trade it for a few days. Also, if I see a token moon because of something very small, I try to short it.

Long term investment is different, though. I can help make really big gains. All the 100x we hear about are from people who did long term investments. This kind of investment only works if we do our research in some strong new projects. I recently researched on Veil Project and I am holding it for long term. The project has experienced team and is making privacy coins better by making mutliblock transactions, private basecoin transactions through RingCT technology, and an easy to use wallet.

The most important thing is to know what you're getting in to. Research the coin and see if it's worth holding, this way you remove the risk of unexpected price crashes.

I'm trading mostly major coins but also started to trade VEIL, which is a small privacy coin. It's the only new coin I'm trading because it has the ability to do really well so I'm not worried about an unknown crash. There was no ICO and that means no big private sale investors with 90% discount on token price that I need to fear a dump from. There is no premine so I don't need to worry about founder dumping on me. The supply can be audited so all the information is verifiable.

Miners need to look into opportunities in altcoins. Altcoins like VEIL don't get much attention from miners and that's why it's a lot easier to get block rewards. A lot more electricity and equipment is needed to mine crowded networks and that lowers the profitability. VEIL is new but it has a good price and is listed on many exchanges. Mining VEIL is more profitable than mining BTC or ETH right now, and because it is ASIC resistant, you, me, and everyone who doesn't have the money to buy a farm actually has a chance to earn block rewards.

First-world users are becoming aware of the importance of privacy. They may not be interested in a decentralized currency, but they do want privacy. For this reason, privacy coins have a good future.

The problem is that privacy coins based on Zerocoin Protocol are not easy to use. They need a fixed denomination spend. To counter this, Veil Project has launched a new blockchain which provides the only privacy coin, based on the Zerocoin Protocol, capable of doing multiblock transactions. This kind of improvement can help privacy coins reach usage in daily spending. People will seek privacy and that will include privacy in where they spend their money. VEIL is going to give that.
