Dogecoin Forum / Re: DOGE for Tesla
« on: Today at 04:04:38 PM »
Why do people always focus on popular people like Elon Musk, because they wait for the hype from the coin. Doge became popular because of Elon Musk, but I'm also not sure Elon will try to raise the price of doge m,to $1, because it's too heavy for now

It's not about Elon Musk making the price of Doge reach $1 because that's what he's waiting for, as are many users. If that happens one day we will witness a massive dump, that will cause the price of Doge to fall to values that no one could imagine again. But you also have to think that Doge (and cryptocurrencies) are not a priority (probably) for him, taking into account the numerous companies and businesses he must attend to. Musk has money and that can give him patience, something other users may not have waiting for something to happen that will probably never happen.

I have worked on many such airdrops but got no expected returns from them. Moreover, after paying for some of the airdrops, I could not work as per their announcement, so I was not eligible to receive the airdrop. All the airdrops I've done have been a waste of time. If the time was spent doing something else without joining the airdrops, the same time would have been worth less or more but joining in airdrop is completely worthless.

I have never participated in an airdrop that came from Twitter or any other social network. In fact, the last time I participated in an airdrop was many years ago, the project is quite well known, Decred, and it was between December 2015 and January 2016. Since then I have not participated in any other airdrop, they seem like a waste of time to me, in addition to the (unnecessary) risk involved in connecting our wallets to sites we do not know. Personally the time invested in airdrops is not worth the cents that can be earned, although sometimes people do not earn even cents since there are many scams.

« on: Today at 10:32:34 AM »
We can delete our posts in some boards. For example, but not limited to, I can delete my posts in News related to Crypto section[1]. Therefore, the same thing can be done in the marketplace section and to avoid offense, you can delete posts that are less than 3 words in length.

[1] https://www.altcoinstalks.com/index.php?board=26.0

True, but as you know, not all boards have the same permissions for users. Granting permissions to users who post bumps frequently would be the easiest, and if they don't do so despite having such permissions, the moderators of that board and global moderators could remove those bumps after a certain period of time. Although it would mean more work to do.

Although the user cannot delete old bumps, they can ask a moderator to delete them. In any case, the quickest and most effective thing would be for the administrator to give permissions to that user (and to users who have similar threads) to be able to delete them himself, leaving them in a log to avoid possible abuse.

I will write to the administrator to inform him about this thread and find a solution.

Justin Sun once dealt with the SEC because of allegations of TRX price manipulation, then there were rumors that he was leaving TRX, and several other things that made some parties worried and distrustful of TRX. Ah, I don't know, actually the price of TRX from the last bullish era couldn't reach ATH as quickly as other altcoins, right? This is similar to XLM which is very difficult to make significant improvements. So, as long as TRX can survive on the market, that's enough to be grateful for. Even since it was created, TRX's ATH was only $0.3, so it's very difficult to get above that again I think.

Until Justin Sun left Tron in December 2021 things were not going too well, but from that date until now things are getting worse. Before that date, Tron had a visible face, people could agree or disagree with Sun's decisions, but at least the market and the ecosystem had more movement and some news. At the beginning of 2022, everything related to the development of Tron seems frozen and forgotten, and the worst thing is that it could remain that way permanently. If no one takes the reins of the ecosystem and the foundation, everything will most likely get worse, and that's a shame, Tron has some really good features.

I will put a link to this discussion in the campaign thread to draw the manager's attention to this.

In addition to the aggressiveness of some BTT users and the ease with which a user can lose a spot in a signature campaign, unfortunately it is also easy to get banned.

The users shown in the screenshot you posted were added to my list as of this morning, with the intention of sending them a private message. By the way, @legend45 replied to me and told me that he had read the message I sent him. I hope it helps in some way. I will help as much as possible in the campaign thread with the post you write. A link to this conversation would also be interesting, so that users can value what they have and use it correctly.

Once again @examplens, thank you for your dedication and interest in improving the forum.

+1 , Since this falls under "this user contributes mostly to none crypto topics or very superficial contribution." It is within quality3[1]

But even Zoom 1 membership is no longer a meaningful classification because no penalties have been taken.

@Freemind I hope to send a message to all Zoom 1 members { if they do not change their posting style within 10 days, their signatures will be deleted (they can wear signatures after 3 months if their posting style changes), thus we have guaranteed healthy discussions.}

[1] https://www.altcoinstalks.com/index.php?topic=319457.0

Zoom group is still useful for classifying, but it is true that the administrator should possibly allow more moderators to work with that group, since he has other tasks to do.

I agree with you that sending a message to everyone in the zoom group is a good idea, but I think it's the campaign manager who can (and should) push harder on that.

Welcome to the forum @Churchillvv.

As @Lucius says, I think you should be more specific with the problems you think you have with the forum. Technically, this forum and BTT are almost the same, boards, threads, sections, posts and some characteristics that, although minimal, differentiate both forums. I recommend that the best thing you can do to start (I assume you have read the forum rules) is to visit the boards that you like the most and start giving your opinion or asking what you don't know.

When you have questions about the forum, in these two boards you will find a lot of information, if you do not find an answer to your questions, do not hesitate to ask:

Basic questions about this forum.

Forum related.

There will always be someone willing to help you.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: Roger Ver has been arrested
« on: May 26, 2024, 12:53:23 PM »
I guess the question is, if Ver remains arrested, who controls his account?. Or Ver has been able to connect to the forum even though he was arrested, with the intention of doing "something"?.

I don't know what other users think, but I think it's too much of a coincidence that this happens now.

For those who didn't know, this is Roger Ver's account on BTT: MemoryDealers.

Seeing statements like these, we might think that they are nothing more than simple electoral promises, and in fact, it is possible that they are just that. But there are some things that we must take into account, and that could make these statements more than electoral promises.

Trump campaign starts taking cryptocurrency donations, vows to build a ‘crypto army’.

News like this may mark a turning point in the path of the cryptocurrency industry. Time will tell us what is true and what is a lie.

P.S. Don't worry, I moved the thread to News related to Crypto.

The idea is to warn the user and draw the attention of the manager. As I said, it is not my intention to exclude someone from the possibility of earning some money.

I think it is important that spam is not rewarded through signature rewards, that would be a waste of money for both the campaign owner and the forum.

Thanks Freemind for your engagement here.

Don't worry, I know that your intention is not to go against the user, and it is not my intention either, that is why I have sent a PM to the user so that he can read these posts and be aware of what is happening.

I agree with this.

I think the community is too aggressive is bitcointalk. People are very intolerant and harsh and a person can be easily red tagged... I don't agree with many red tags I have seen there

I know, unfortunately I know how aggressive the BTT community is sometimes. That's why we do things differently here.

Thanks to both of you, @examplens and @bitmover, for your interest in improving the forum.

+2 for each of you.

~

After reading your post, I would like to say a few things...

The first thing is that I totally agree with you. We can't "complain" about payments when things like this happen. The second thing is that in this case the moderators cannot do anything, since although it is true that he has written 15 posts in a very short time, he has not broken any rules of the forum.

I think that in this case it is the manager who should take action, and possibly those measures could be a rule in which users must publish their weekly quota throughout the week, and for example expand the minimum of 100 characters per post. By expanding the number of characters in each post, managers will ensure that users develop and express their ideas and opinions better, or at least I think so.

About a week ago I saw this on Telegram:

That user only received payment for 9 posts, I seem to remember.

I think it is possibly the quickest and most effective solution for users who are trying to abuse to realize that they are doing things wrong.

I'll say something else, although some call me an iron fist again... When users do that and nothing happens, the overall campaign can degrade. Getting that user to change their behavior is one solution, and if that doesn't work, another solution would be to remove the user from the campaign so that someone else can do an acceptable and adequate job.

Edit: I will try to talk to the affected user.

Basic questions about this forum / Re: My question about Karma?
« on: May 25, 2024, 04:35:44 PM »
This is pretty interesting that the most requested, ever since I got here will finally be available. Right now, it makes me curious if it includes showing what post/s got the negative karma or only the positive one. Because as far as I remember, the admin mentioned before that making it visible, spwcifically the negative karma, might create a conflict to every user who got it and send it.

The karma shown must always be positive and negative. Ignoring negative karma would only serve to deceive ourselves.

I see, so the goal is to show the post/s have been earning positive and negative karma without including the name of the user who gave it? Right? It's a great option, at least no conflict will occur.

Exactly, the idea is that each thread/post has an individual karma counter, but like now, sending that karma remains anonymous. It will give us more information about the topics that forum users are most interested in and possibly a path forward, since this information will be very useful also for possible advertisers. But like I said, the admin is still working on it and there is no approximate release date.

XRP - Ripple Forum / Re: Can XRP hit $100?
« on: May 25, 2024, 11:02:59 AM »
Actually it's hard to say that this will occur very soon but to me XRP is not any every other altcoin that are easily being manipulated over the price since their case with SEC isn't solved, I think $100 is a good projection but could take a longer times, after their case within that period of winning the case the price could hit back 3$ or 5$ maybe the next target would be 10$.

$5 may seem like a more or less reasonable value to me, but I also think $10 is too much. The total supply of XRP is 100,000,000,000. I think it is easy to do the calculations to know the amount of money that would be necessary to inject into XRP to reach the $10 you say, I will not talk about $100, I have already said it on other occasions. Ripple has a lot to do before it can return to normal XRP development, so after a while we may see new features that give XRP a new boost. In the meantime, it is likely that the value will not have too many changes, unless we are close to an altcoin season.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: Roger Ver has been arrested
« on: May 25, 2024, 07:34:30 AM »
See? They give people all kinds of stupid-ass sentences for a tax-related crime.

Ross is serving a double-life sentence without parole for making a drug store.

And then you have the Tornado Cash guy serving over a year in prison for making a mixer.

Meanwhile, it is almost impossible to put people like Donald Trump in prison even for one day.

The justice system in the US is two-tiered: One for rich old fiat white men and one for the rest of us.

Try to indict Jamie Dimon for anything, for example - it's not going to happen - if anything even, it'll just be a slap on the wrist.

But that's not something that happens only in the United States. In any country in the world, anyone who has a lot of money accused of something has a much better chance of being acquitted (and paying a simple fine) than someone who, for example, works in construction and lives with just enough money month to month. But I think we must also take into account that not only the wealth of the accused plays a role, but also contacts or friendships with powerful and influential people. If the 30 years thing is true, it seems really crazy to me.

Thanks for the information, what I want to ask is that does this malwares with crypto stealers also in the old windows because I have an old windows laptop that I am using, or it is only to new window computers in the market. So that I can know what to do next, because I have my wallet on my laptop.

The older the version of Windows you have installed on your laptop (Windows 7 was released in 2009 and Windows 10 in 2015), the greater the risk of vulnerabilities and security breaches. Windows 7 ended support on January 14, 2020, and Windows 10 will end support on July 29, 2025. In fact, it's not just that Windows focuses less on security (which is also true) but the large amount of software available that is not open source, so no one can review the code.

A possible solution to this problem (at least it is what I would do) would be to make a backup copy of your wallet and install another, more configurable operating system. In my case, I have been using Unix-like systems, such as BSD and GNU/Linux, for many years. The choice is yours.
